Chapter 2-

The next morning Trisha got dressed, in a long sweater that almost covered her hands, she put on low rise jeans and a beanie. She put her boots and jewelry on. She grabbed her reading glasses and put them in her bag. Grabbing her bag and her keys she walked into the kitchen and prepared breakfast for her and her father.

Toast and eggs were a normal breakfast in the Vale household, maybe a cup of coffee or apple juice sufficed. But today Trisha made waffles and bacon and squeezed fresh orange juice.

The curly haired teen plated the food and walked to her father's room, like she did everyday. " Dad, I have breakfast." She opened the door and walked inside, seeing her father wide awake and reading his book. " Morning Tisa." Trisha smiled. She left his plate on the bedside table, and kissed his cheek.

" Im going to school, I'll see you later." She walked out and closed the door.

After walking out of the house with a piece of bacon in her mouth she got in her car and drove to school. She wouldn't need to pick Dustin up until after school, he'd tag along with her at the cinema for a few hours before taking his bike home.

Trisha parked her car and gathered her things, then walking inside. She saw Johnathan walking by the lockers, so she decided to walk behind him for a good few minutes.

" Byers"

Johnathan jumped, whipping around to see who it was. Only to relax to see Trisha. " Jesus Trisha. You gave me a heart attack." Trisha snickered. "Then you'd be dead." She smiled at him. " You got my camera?" She pointed to the camera case that hung on his side, the strap going over his shoulder inside of his neck.

" Oh yeah, here." He handed her the camera, Trisha grabbed it and put it over her head letting it rest against her hip.

"Thanks for fixing it, knew I could trust you to fix my baby." Trisha took the camera out of the case, looking at the fixed lens.

"Can't believe you almost ran it over." Johnathan shoved his hands in his pockets.

Trisha huffed, putting the camera back in the case. " I didn't mean to, and I did run it over, that's why it was broken."

The bell rung, making the two sigh. " Guess that's class, see you later Johnathan." Trisha started walking off to her class.

After school Trisha went to pick up Dustin, only to notice he didn't come out at the normal time. She sat for thirty minutes before getting out of her car and walking inside the school.

She noticed one of Dustin's teachers Mr. Clarke. She remembered him from when she was in middle school. " Hey! Mr. Clarke!" The man turned around, " Oh Trisha, what are you doing here?" Trisha smiled. " I'm looking for Dustin, I normally pick him up after school. Do you know where he is?"

Mr. Clarke nodded. " He and his friends are in the AV room. You remember where that is?" Trisha nodded before running off in the direction of the AV room.

Trisha opened the AV room door, to see Dustin, Mike, Will, Lucas, and a girl. " Trisha! What are you doing here?" Dustin slid something behind his back, the other kids staring at her. " I'm here to pick you up? Wait what are you doing?" Dustin looked around his friends asking for help. " He was showing us his upgraded ghost trap." Mike sputtered out, Trisha squinted.

" Let me see it then."

Dustin shook his head. " Dustin, Show it to me." The ginger girl she saw before stepped infront of Dustin. " It's broken, it broke before you got here." The box made a noise. The six of them turned their heads to face the box. " It doesn't sound broken." Trisha looked back at Dustin. " Dustin Henderson you better tell me what's in that box, before I grab it myself."

Lucas held his hand up to Dustin's ear. " Your babysitter is scary" Trisha glanced over to the boy, " I heard that." Lucas straightned up.

Trisha gasped " Oh my god! Is that the limited X-men comic?" The boys turned around, letting Trisha grab the box. Dustin whipped around and saw the box in her hands. " Wait!" Trisha opened the box and saw a slimy tadpole looking creature. " Ew! Oh my god!"

She dropped the box moving away from the creature. " Trisha!" She looked at Dustin as he tried to pick up the box. But right when he did. The creature fell out and slid out the door. " Dart!" Trisha saw the creature coming past her feet making her squeal. "Dustin what the actual hell!?"

The boys ran out of the room trying to find the creature. " Dustin! Hold on!"

After the wild goose chase, Dustin told her everything about Dart, and what happened last year.

"So you're telling me all this, why?"

After she dropped Dustin off and slept. The next day of school was going to be hell.
