Chapter 4

-

The next day at school. Trisha parked next to Allison's car. The blue vehicle stood out making it easy for Trisha to find it. After yesterday's events Trisha didn't want to see the older Harrington's face, or she'd puke on his shoes.

Trisha grabbed her bag slinging it over her shoulder, then grabbing her coffee. Her outfit stood out a bit but she didn't care. All she cared about was finding her best friend.

Walking into the school she found the younger Harrington walking with her brother. " Allie!" Allison turned around a grin spreading across her face. She gave Steve her bag and ran to hug her friend. " Tris, Hey!" Trisha wrapped her arms around the shorters neck.

" When I tell you I'm sick of this school year already I mean it. Bring summer to me now!" Allison and Trisha we're walking side by side down the hallway. Lucky them they had their first class together " I know you're dying to go to the pool."

" I am, but also-" Allison made finger guns with her hands " Hot ladies"

Trisha laughed. She took a sip from her coffee. " I need to head to the red room after first period. Walk me there?" Allison shook her head. " Big test for History. Can't today." Trisha pouted. " Just walk with Jonathan, I'm sure he'd be very happy to walk with you." Trisha gasped

" Don't get me started."

Allison quirked a brow " On what?" " Your massive crush on Nanc-" Allison slapped her hands over Trisha's mouth. " Not out loud you idiot!" She said in a hushed whisper. Trisha licked Allison's palm, earning a disgusted look from her. " Gross!"

" Payback."

" That wasn't even close to payback!"

" I say it was. So it is."

" Get off my dick."

" Aye Aye Captain."

Soon after sitting at their table. Jonathan did indeed join them. He always sat next to Trisha as she made sure he always did.

Not like she was possessive over him, she just preferred no one but him sat next to her. Allison was eating her sandwich and talking about how her History test would be the reason she failed.

" I'm sure you won't fail from a simple twenty-five question test." Trisha took a bite of her potato salad. It was warm, she liked it cold but at this moment she didn't care. " Nancy, you take that test and see if you flunk it, I promise you you would."

Jonathan was oddly quiet, not like he was all the time. But normally he and Trisha had little conversations together while Allison and Nancy talked until Allison butted in asking what they were talking about.

" Jonathan, You okay?"

The teen turned his head to face her " Oh yeah- I'm fine. Just thinking-" " 'Bout what?" Speak of the devil. " Nothing important." " Thinking of Trisha isn't important?" Trisha's jaw dropped, she made sure to kick Allison's leg extra hard under the table." OW! Tris-" Allison averted her attention to the brunette.

Her face said it all. Allison gulped, yep. She was done for. The next morning she'd be found by cops in a ditch. Not actually but mentally she would.

" What? No, I'm just thinking of the pictures I took, I don't know if they'll develop right." Trisha sighed in relief. " Oh, Well I hope they do."

" Well, I'm going to go to the red room, I need to develop more photos, you guys can tag along if you want." Trisha started packing up her things. " I'll go with you." Jonathan grabbed his bag, and helped her by grabbing her drink.

" I'ma stay with Nance. See if my brother turns up. " Trisha nodded and waved bye to the two girls, walking off with Jonathan.

" Sorry about what Allie said. She's a little nuts." Jonathan chuckled " Nah. It's alright. I'm used to it." This piqued her attention. " What do you mean by that?" Her glasses slipping down her nose a bit. " Oh.. Uhh, some people ask if we're dating and stuff. Not that I mind it, you're awesome. It's just it always happens." Trisha's eyes widened. She had no idea of this.

" You think I'm awesome? Wow, I've never been told that." She has.. she just doesn't count complements, complements unless they're from Jonathan. " Yeah. I do. Plus I had someone ask if we were together today, you'd think they got the gist of it by now. "

" Yeah- totally."

Allison looked at the two as they walked off. "They're so cute together! Like, they just need to date already!" Allison giggled at Nancy.

Nancy smiled and looked down. "Yeah, they really do. So, tell me about this little crush you have, Allie!"

Allison nodded. "So, they're really hot, beautiful even. Beautiful is a better word to describe. I literally would be so lost without them. They're like, just so smart, talented, everything you could want in a gi- guy." Allison caught herself before she could make the mistake of confessing for Nancy.

She wanted to make sure Nancy would be okay with her sexuality before she admitted to actually liking her.

Nancy nodded. "They sound like..a good person. I hope they treat you well, Allie." Nancy was secretly hoping that Allie wouldn't end up with this guy. Nancy really liked Allison, more than just in a friendly way.

Nancy didn't know if Allison liked girls. She hoped she did. She really really hoped she did. But all she could do is be patient and wait. Unless she called Trisha after school and bugged her about it.

Allison smiled. "So, you ready for English?" Allison began to throw away her trash. "Wait where's Steve..?" She questioned.

Nancy looked around. "I don't know...that's weird. Usually he sits with us."

Allison looked at her. "Let's go investigate the gymnasium. I bet he's there!" The two got up in unison and ran out to the gymnasium.

As they busted in they saw that Steve was on the floor with Billy Hargrove leaning over him. "Plant your feet, Harrington."

Allison cringed. "Yikes..." She called out to Steve. "Stevey! Whyd you skip lunch?"

Both Billy and Steve looked over at Allison. "Oh, it was nothing, Allie. I'll eat twice as much dinner tonight, deal?"

Allison nodded. "Deal!!" She smiled as she walked out with Nancy toward their English 3 class.

Later that night, Trisha planned to call Allison, regardless of whether Nancy was there or not. She ran into her room ignoring her father's look of surprise as she zoomed past him. " Go to bed dad!"

The man didn't question it as he saw her door shut. Trisha quickly grabbed her phone and dialed the Harrington household. Putting the phone between her ear and shoulder she took off her sweater and tanktop. Grabbing a more comfortable shirt as the phone rang. " Harrington household, Steve speaking." " Oh! Steve, Hey. It's Trisha." Well that was just dandy. Allie always picked up the phone.

" Hey, Trisha. Look if you're calling to talk about the kiss, I'm very-" " I'm not. Could you put Allie on the phone?" Trisha heard him sigh. " Yeah." " Thanks Steve, we can talk about it tomorrow yeah?" A hum in response was all she got before she heard Allison's voice. " Trish! Whaddya need?" " Nothing just to talk about a certain someone." " Jonathan?" " No.. Nancy." " Huh!?" Trisha could hear a 'what's wrong' from Nancy in the background. Along with Steve calling asking what was wrong from downstairs.

" Yeah, and your evident crush on her. " " Trish I told you that it was just a stupid crush- it's not going anywhere." " Tell her that."

Allison groaned. Trisha wasn't one for being petty. But today? She was gonna rain hell on Allison. In a friendly way of course.

" You mind passing the phone go Nance?"

" Not a chance."

" I'm willing to make a sacrifice ."

" Do my homework for a week."

" I'll make it one and a half."

" Deal."

" Trisha?" Trisha smiled " Hey Nance, you doing anything tomorrow night?" " Other than going to dinner with you guys tomorrow, no I dont." " I'll drive you home tomorrow, how bout that?" " Sure!"

She passed the phone back to Allison. Trisha could already see her face, her eyebrows were pulled together, her lip curled up a little, and she had a loc of hair in between her thumb and index finger.

" Love you Allie!"

" Don't lie to be you heathen."

" I would never dare lie to thy maiden."

" Goodnight Trisha."

" Goodnight Boo Bear."

" I'm going to murder you-" Trisha hung up, feeling happy at her successes. She was going to sleep like a princess tonight. With a handsome prince in mind. Not like that mattered.
