Chapter 5
-
After arriving at the restaurant they got a table and sat down. " Wasn't Steve supposed to join us?" Nancy asked out of pure curiosity. " He said he wanted to stay home. Not that it matters, I like hanging out with you guys more than my brother. " " That's mean Allie." Trisha feigned a frown on her face.
" You don't get to talk." Allison pointed at her with a glare. " Blah blah." After a bit of small talk the waiter came up. It was a good looking boy, probably around their age. " Hi, I'm Tony, what can I get you to drink?" Trisha was the closest to him, being sat on the other side of the booth across from Allison and Nancy. " Three cokes please." Allison told him, they always had coke going out to dinner.
" Okay, I'll be right back with you."
He walked off then the three of them looked at each other, before bursting out into laughter.
Tony had brought them their drinks, his eyes lingering on Allison a little too much. " And for your meals?" Trisha handed him the menu, " Ceaser salad with ranch, and a side of fries." Nancy handed hers over next. " Spaghetti please."
The two girls looked at Allison has she was handing over her menu. " double cheeseburger, make it medium well, and a side of fries with barbecue sauce."
" Okay." Tony averted his gaze over to Trisha. " We'll have that out in a bit."
The thing with hanging out with Allison is she flirted with every male, just to annoy them. Now why she does this? Trisha had no clue. But the sheer fact that Allison did this just for sport gave the brunette to laugh about.
" Thanks Tony, I really appreciate it." Allison had grabbed his hand in her flirtatious act which made the boy in question, give her a derpy smile. " You're welcome." Allison had winked at him as he walked off.
" You're gonna get yourself caught if you uphold that act Allie." " I'm battling a war here, let me win it." Allison took a sip of her coke, more like a chug, half of it was gone afterwards.
" I can't believe you do this everytime we go out to eat." Nancy had turned to face Allison completely. Even though the two couldn't tell, Trisha was just thinking of how oblivious the two where. Trisha could see right through them. Which in her defense, made it very easy to tease.
Oh boy was she going to have fun.
Allison smiled. "Oh its fun! I mean...you never know who's going to be the next victim of Allison Harrington." She smirked.
Nancy laughed a bit and shook her head. "Thats the one thing you and your brother have in common, you guys can get any guy or girl you want."
Allison smiled slightly and nodded. "I guess your right-" She looked down at her coke as she took a sip. She knew that wasn't true, not in the slightest because Allison couldn't get ANY girl she wanted. It was frowned upon.
Tony came back out with the food after a short while. He laid the plate of Allison's food down infront of her. "Awh, thank you love. You're a peach." She smiled at him.
Tony smiled at the brunette and handed Nancy and Trisha their food. "For you two ladies." He smiled at them. He looked at Allison's coke. "I'll get you a refill there."
Allison nodded. "Thats fine, take your time." She winked at the boy who's face was a hue of red.
The girls began to eat, Trish stabbing her salad with her fork to get the pieces. She looked at Allison. "Does it ever occur to you that the guys you flirt with might try to give you their number?"
Allison laughed. "Oh, they do. I just let Steve call. They hang up immediately, cause he's got the best imitation of a female voice. It's hilarious."
Nancy looked at her. "Why don't you ever date the guys you flirt with?" She questioned the brunette who was next to her.
"Oh, they're not really my type. Like I told you before, this person I really like, smart, beautiful, curly hair.." She smiled. "Oh and no I don't mean Billy Hargrove. He's not smart."
Trisha covered her mouth as she laughed. "Oh, my god! He's like such an asshole. Have you seen him before?"
Nancy nodded. "His step-sister is so sweet, though. Max I think her name is?" Allison nodded. "Oh, yeah, Max is an angel. I take her home sometimes."
Tony brought out the check, an extra slip of paper ontop of it. Allison took the bill and gave Tony her credit card. She looked at the extra slip of paper and smiled at him. "I'll make sure to call, love."
Tony smiled and looked down as he walked back to the register, charging Allison's card.
He came back and took the dirty plates and gave Allison the reciept and her card.
The three left the restaurant and Allison got into her car, turning it on. She lowered the top and Trisha jumped the side to get in since it was a two door. Nancy got in the passenger seat and Allison put her top back up.
She took off out of the restaurant and they all arrived at the Harrington mansion after about thirty minutes.
Once they arrived back at the Harrington house. Nancy said she needed to use the restroom. So Allison and Trisha followed in behind her. Trisha had Sar down on the couch noticing Steve on a swivel chair in the kitchen. Allison had gone up to her room to change. Leaving the two of them by themselves.
" Hey.. Steve?" He turned around in the chair facing her. " Yeah?" " Sorry if I've been very avoiding lately. I just-" Trisha started twisting her fingers together. " It was rude if me to ignore you after the uh.." " The kiss?" Steve had moved over to the wall, leaning against it. " Yeah, I was trying to kiss the corner of your mouth. But I should've communicated with you before hand, and I didn't so I can't really be mad at you for that if I didn't try to make it work."
Steve licked his lips, Trisha waited for his response which she thought wouldn't happen. " It's okay.. I understand. If I had to guess that was your first right?" Trisha swallowed " Yeah.." Now he was sitting next to her, Trisha leaned back against the couch, huffing out a sigh. " Who where you saving it for?" Trisha snickered. " I'm sure you know who already. Everyone does."
" Hm well I'll just take a guess. Byers right?" " Yep" Trisha extenuated the 'p'.
" Never would've thought of that.." " Excuse me?"
Steve realized how he worded it. " I didn't mean it like that- I meant I never would've thought he would be able to get someone like you to like him." Trisha was confused now. " I don't get it." Steve shook his head. " Forget it, it's not important."
Nancy had walked out of the bathroom, and Allison finally came down stars.
" Ready to go Trisha?" The brunette stood up. " Yeah. Let's go." She wiped her hands on her pants and grabbed her keys. She gave a quick glance to Steve. A form of 'goodbye' or ' We'll talk later' type thing, he couldn't tell.
In the car ride back to the Wheeler household. Nancy looked nervous. Trisha noted this as they pulled out of the Harrington driveway.
" You okay Nance?" Trisha glanced over at her with a worried look on her face. " Yeah, somethings just bugging me." " What is?"
" Does Allie actually like boys?" Trisha slammed on the brakes. " Oh my god! Trisha!" " Sorry! Sorry!"
" That simple question almost killed us!?" " Yeah I know, sorry.. Why would she not?" Trisha had to keep Allison's secret from her. It was going to ruin the whole thing. " She gets upset when I ask what male crush she has, or how she can get any guys attention like that." Nancy snapped her fingers. " I just don't get it."
Trisha swallowed, if she told Nancy she would have to delete herself from existence. " Well, she uhh... Does like girls. A hefty bit too. She doesn't want people knowing because she doesn't want to be bullied for it. You know how people are to homosexuals."
" Yeah... but I've come to the realization that-" Trisha looked at her. " What?" " I like her.. I really do." Trisha smiled, if Cupid was right there she'd kiss his cherub cheeks and squeal in happiness. " Really?" Nancy nodded. " Don't tell anyone please-" " Don't worry, I won't spill anything!"
Trisha had dropped Nancy off and drove home.
Back at the Harrington household, Steve had slept wondering what a relationship with Trisha Vale would be like.
