Chapter 2 Eri

A few years had passed in a flash for Izuku while living with his new family. It took him a few weeks to really get convertible with what had happened to him but he got past it. As soon as they got close to running out of food Ai brought them to the public library where she found the idea to sell the mettle things from the beach to a scrap yard with a heavy-duty wagon they found in the trash. She also got all the kids including herself signed up for online school. May made some challenges, with her trying to take apart the computers at the library, or her throwing a fight about scraping some of the mental things. Ai made some compromises with some of the things she wanted to keep and somehow got all the kids to help clean the beach while they sorted things for scraping and what May could keep. After the first year May insisted on joining some free computer classes that the library offered, Ai told her she could but she wanted help to convince the other kids to take the classes. It took her saying that a hero with lots of knowledge is the most versatile of them all. She also helped Izuku and May learn to sign so Shinso could communicate easier on the days he couldn't bring himself to talk. And in the first week after May asked without tact what everyone's quirks were and why Shinso had problems. Izuku felt a little sad at the question but curious about the other kids quirks not having the courage to ask himself. After a while and most of the beach was clean they noticed signs being put up to let the people in the neighborhood that the abandoned houses would be torn down that week so the kids relocated to the roof of an apartment building where people wouldn't ask them questions. After a while most of the kids finished all of their cors work before the school year was up so they all took turns to help Shinso catch up and somewhere around that time they all started calling Ai, mom. After that Ai had them learn ferst aid and C.P.R. at the lokal hospital traing program. After some time Ai was able to get things for the kids like notebooks for Izuku, and cat trinkets for Shinso and Kipo, Sakura wanted dresses and May wanted tools so with some of the spare money for each of their birthdays she got them the things they wanted. On one of their hales to the scrap yard Kipo noticed a woman yelling at her phone for being dead while holding the hand of a little girl with white hair red eyes and a small horn on her head crying. It was when Kipo heard the woman snape at the girl to stop crying and that once she charged her phone she was going to send her to live with her yakuza grandpaw. So Kipo grabbed Ai's hand thought what she heard and led Ai to the angry woman.

Ai: excuse me I couldn't help but over here that you wanted to send her to yakuza.

Angry women: ya wats it to you!

Ai: well if you would allow me to take her from you then you wouldn't have to contact them.

Anger women: and why would I do that?

Ai: because if you don't then I'm going to call the police on you for being in contact with the yakuza!

Angry women: tusk what wever here.

She through the girl to the ground in front of Ai.

Angry woman: I never want to see that monster ever again.

She then turned and walked towards the train station while the little girl cried.

Ai: hi little girl can you tell me your name, my name's Ai and I'll be taking care of you from now on.

The little girl looked up with tier-filled eyes she shook her head yes and stood up then slowly walked to Ai and grabbed her shirt and buried her face in it.

Eri: my name is Eri.

Ai: hi Eri can you tell me how old you are?

Eri: five

Ai was eleven at this time and the others were ten. Ai then asked Eri if she could pick her up. Eri stayed quiet the whole walk to and from the scrap yard. The other kids didn't ask questions but still, let Ai know they all wanted her to stay. When they reached their tent on the roof Eri was already fast asleep in Ai's arms, from that day on she was the precious baby of the family that they promised to protect.
