Chapter 4 Dobbie

That morning the kids were greeted with the sight of a giant yellow caterpillar laying in front of the door to the stairs. Sakura took it upon herself to wake the creature by poking it hard.

Aizawa: ow

He sat up and quickly sucked up a jelly pouch then proceeded to get out of his sleeping bag and the kids watched in amazement.

Kipo: aw I was hoping he would turn into a butterfly.

Aizawa rolled his eyes at the comment.

Ai: OK that's enough I'll make breakfast and after we're done eating we need to talk.

Eri: what about the caterpillar man?

Ai: chuckle, oh right this is Eraserhead and he is what the conversation is going to be about.

So Ai got to work making breakfast and coffee for herself, Shinso, and Aizawa. Then they packed up their supplies and they started the important talk.

Ai: OK so this hero wants to know if we would like to live with him and he already promised he wouldn't let the child's services get us. If you want to thumbs up if you don't thumbs down and if you have a question raise your hand and will try to answer it.

To both Ai and Aizawa's surprise, they got all thumbs up.

Aizawa: not that I'm not happy you all want to come live with me but what made you all say yes?

Sakura: Mom wouldn't have even let you meet us if she didn't trust you.

Aizawa was a little put off by the name she used for the other girl.

Aizawa: did you just call her mom?

Sakura: ya that's what you call a girl that feeds you.

Izuku: clothes you.

Shinso: and put a roof over your head.

Eri: and chase away the scary nightmares.

Aizawa shook his head to show that he understood.

Aizawa: OK so do you need help packing your things?

Ai: if you wouldn't mind taking this down to the wagon that would be nice.

She pointed to the cooler she kept the food in. Aizawa did as asked and by the time he got back on the roof the tent was packed away in one of the bags and each kid had a backpack on and was making their way to the fire escape. Aizawa made his way back down to the ground and helped each kid down. He knew they could do it by themselves but if they were willing to accept the help he was going to give it. Most of the kids piled in the wagon, this included Eri, Shinso, Izuku, Kipo, and Sakura. Ai let Aizawa pull the wagon as they made their way to Aizawa's house. On the way, the kids asked for something to drink because the walk was taking the holiday and it was lunch time so they stopped at a convenience store where Izuku had noticed a tall boy with black hair and covered in burns putting a bag of chips and burn cream in his jacket. Izuku went straight up to this boy and asked.

Izuku: why are you putting those in there?

Dobby looked at this boy with his bright eyes and small stature and couldn't bring himself to lie to the boy.

Dobby: I'm putting them in my jacket because I need them and don't have the money to pay for them.

Izuku: why where your parents can't they pay for them?

Dobby: my parents didn't want me so no my parents can't pay for them.

Izuku: then my mom can pay for it and you can live with us.

Dobby: oh really.

Izuku: ya my mom and the rest of my family take in kids with no place to go all the time.

Izuku then noticed the hesitation in the boy's face.

Izuku: well you don't have to live with us if you don't want to.

Dobby didn't see any lies from the younger boy's face or body. So he took a breath and held out a hand.

Dobby: my name is Dobby.

Izuku smiled at the jester and shook the older boy's hand.

Izuku: I'm Izuku its nice to meet you Dobby. My mom is this way but you will have to take the stuff out of your jacket.

Dobby nodded his head and did as the boy asked then followed the kid to a group of kids and a tired-looking man.

Izuku: Mom I found a new kid who wants to join our family his mom and dad didn't want him.

Ai took one look at the other boy and Aizawa also looked the boy up and down.

Ai: ok it's nice to meet you. You want those right?

Dobby: uh ya. Are you his mom?

Ai: well that's what he calls me and I do take care of him well until Aizawa takes us to live with him today then that job will be his but he can still call me whatever he wants. Do you still want to live with us?

Dobby: well I don't know isn't that up to him?

He points to Aizawa.

Aizawa: if she sees you'r with her then you'r wellcome.

Dobby: well ok by the way my name is Dobby I'm sixteen.

Aizawa: it's nice to meet you Dobby please put your items on the counter and go ahead and grab a drink.

Dobby: OK.

They all hurry and by the end, the younger kids are back in the wagon with a drink and a sandwich. Dobby followed along with his own and they made their way to Aizawa's house.

During the walk, Aizawa called Hizashi and he buried to prepare another guest room.

When they finally arrived the kids were all greeted by a loud blonde and a cat that tried to escape. The house was in a quiet neighborhood a short drive from U.A. High. And it was a double story.

Yomida: hey little listeners welcome.

His smile had faded just a little at the sight of Dobby's burns but not for long. He then showed the kids to the upstairs rooms where three rooms were waiting for them in one of the rooms there were two beds for Izuku and Shinso to share. In the next room were two bunk beds for the older girls and a kid bed against the wall between the two bunk beds for Eri. The last room had one bed in it and it was all for Dobby.

Yamada: OK while you all get settled I'll be getting dinner ready please join us when you are ready and after dinner we will be doing bath time. Ok.

The kids shook their heads at him saying yes.

Aizawa then made his way to Dobby.

Aizawa: if you want I can patch you up and sometime tomorrow we can go to recovery girl and see what she can do for you. What do you say?

Dobby: Ya I would like that. Why are you being so kind to me we literally just met today. and you know nothing about me so please tell me why.

Aizawa: well from what I've gathered you're a kid that's been abused and hurt and needed help and I'm a hero it's literally my job to help people that need it and because I wanted to and If that girl in the other room trust you I have no reason not to. And before you ask yes her quirk helps her tell the good people from the bad ones.

Dobby: OK I'll take that. Thank you for what you are doing anyway. You won't call the police I don't want them to send me back to my dad.

Aizawa: as long as I think you are not safe with your dad then I can use my foster license to keep you with me.

Dobby just looked at Aizawa and then unexpectedly hugged the man and started to cry. The other kids wanted to join the hug but Ai said it wasn't the right time for a group hug just yet.

They spent that night as one of their best, they had a hot meal Ai didn't have to cook and they all got a worm shower, Yamida had all the kids give him their dirty clothes that he promised to clean tomorrow. And Aizawa lent Dobby some clothes since all the clothes he had were the ones on his back.
