Ash sat in the Pokémon Center with his head down and a defeated expression on his face. His first battle against Brock had been a total disaster. He had trained hard for this moment, but all his effort seemed to have been in vain.
He remembered with sadness how his Pikachu, his loyal companion, had been defeated in an instant by Brock's Onix. It was as if everything he had done had no meaning.
He felt overwhelmed by defeat and frustration, and began to question his ability as a Pokémon Trainer. He had dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Master since he was a child, but now he wondered if he would ever be able to achieve that dream.
While lost in his thoughts, a voice pulled him out of his state of sadness. It was Sayaka, the young Nurse Joy who had decided to accompany him, and she had noticed the concerned look on Ash's face, having heard that Misty had been defeated without much difficulty by the Gym Leader Brock.
"How are you feeling, Ash?" Sayaka asked, concerned about Ash's sad expression.
Ash looked at Sayaka with sadness in his eyes and confessed that he felt very disappointed in himself.
"I thought I was ready to face Brock, but he defeated me easily," Ash said with a sigh.
Sayaka placed a reassuring hand on Ash's shoulder and said, "Ash, it's normal to feel disappointed after a defeat, but you must not let it discourage you."
"Exactly," Mirian nodded as she approached Ash, having overheard the conversation. "All great trainers have experienced defeat at some point in their careers," Mirian's words, spoken by Officer Jenny, also resonated with Ash.
Ash felt encouraged by these words and stood up with renewed determination.
"You're right, I can't give up. I'll train even harder and try again," Ash said with determination in his voice.
Sayaka smiled, proud of Ash's determination. "That's what we hope to hear from a Pokémon Trainer. That's the spirit!" Sayaka cheered him on.
"And if you need any advice or help in your training, I'll be here to support you," Mirian added with a reassuring smile.
At that moment, Misty entered, and she wasn't alone; she was carrying a recovered Pikachu in her arms.
"It seems your Trainer is in better spirits now," Misty exclaimed with joy as Pikachu responded with an adorable "Pika," catching the attention of Ash and the girls.
"Pikachu, I'm so glad you're feeling better, buddy," Ash replied with joy, seeing that his first Pokémon was doing well.
"It looks like the little rookie has regained his smile," a male voice caught the group's attention. They noticed that it was the same man who had been selling stones outside the city.
"Sir, what are you doing here?" Ash asked the man, showing his curiosity.
"I came to give you information if you wanted to go to one of the nearby gyms, but the way you fought against Brock was quite skillful. You even put up a good fight despite the type disadvantage. But Brock is much better. If that kid focused solely on being a Trainer, he could easily make it to the Elite Four in the region," the man spoke confidently about the Gym Leader's enormous potential in the city.
"I knew the rumors about the strength of this Gym Leader weren't just talk, but being skilled enough to reach the Elite Four is surprising. But staying as a Gym Leader doesn't mean he's wasting his talent," Misty expressed her doubt about Brock's situation.
"That's a big topic I can't tell you about, but I could show you why a talent like Brock's is wasted in this city," the man said as he gestured for the group to follow him.
The group didn't hesitate to accompany him, and they walked from the Pokémon Center to one of the nearby residences with natural architecture, which included stone walls and nearby bamboo trees.
The man peered over the wall and signaled for the others to climb up. They obeyed and looked through the wall, where they saw the Gym Leader. Instead of having a tough appearance as he had shown in the gym, he now had a serious and homely expression while taking care of a large group of children who looked very much like him.
"Are those his children?" Ash asked, displaying his characteristic ignorance.
"Of course not. They're his younger siblings that he has to take care of because their mother is traveling the world, exploring hobbies, while their foolish father tried to challenge the Veterans League to reach the Elite Four. But after failing and being eliminated in the first round, he hasn't wanted to return."
The Veterans League was Kanto's tournament where all trainers who had participated at least once in the Indigo Plateau League faced off. While the Indigo Plateau League was designed for novices, the Veterans League was much more challenging, with even champions of the Indigo Plateau or Gym Leaders who had failed to secure a spot in the Elite Four competing for another spot or a higher ranking for the World Championship held every four years.
"But Brock's father shouldn't be feeling sad. The Veterans League is quite competitive, and getting a spot to participate should be a reason to celebrate," Ash's words somehow hit the man hard.
"I wish I could say the same, but the shame of that man suddenly appearing out of nowhere to seek the regional champion title and then being eliminated is the shame of that man. He hasn't returned to his home and has left his poor eldest son with so much responsibility."
The man's tone was one of sadness and concern for Brock and his father. The group of trainers fell silent for a moment, feeling the sadness that the man expressed. Finally, Misty spoke in a reassuring tone.
"We all make mistakes in life, but what's important is to learn from them and move forward. Perhaps someday Brock's father will return and reconcile with him," Misty expressed with understanding.
The man nodded, grateful for Misty's words.
Then the man climbed down from the wall and looked at Ash.
"If you want to defeat Brock, it would be a good idea to select the three Pokémon you're going to use and train them. Maybe if you address your mistakes, you can bridge the gap you have against Brock," the man said as he looked at Ash. "Fortunately, I know of a nearby field where I can give you a taste of the power of Rock-type Pokémon, which might help you."
Ash nodded enthusiastically at the man's offer and prepared to follow him to the nearby field. The field turned out to be a rocky area filled with large and small rocks, with small cracks in the ground where grass and low bushes grew.
"This will be the training ground, so choose the ones you're going to use, while I'll only use one," the man said with seriousness.
The man's words made Ash think, and recalling that he had already made the switch with Professor Oak, he had in mind the three Pokémon he was going to use.
"Spearow, Pikachu, and Beedrill, I choose you!" Ash shouted as he released the Poké Balls of Spearow and Beedrill, while Pikachu hopped onto the field.
"A good choice. Let's show him our power, Graveler!" the man exclaimed with excitement as he threw his Poké Ball, and a rock-type Pokémon much larger than Geodude, with four arms, emerged from it.
"Wow, a Graveler!" Ash exclaimed with excitement as he took out his Pokédex and analyzed the man's Pokémon.
"Graveler, a Rock-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Geodude. Graveler grows by eating whatever the ground can offer, but it dislikes metals. It rolls down hills, which can be dangerous for both humans and Pokémon."
"Are you ready, Ash? Then I'll give you the first move," said the man as Ash concentrated to figure out which attack to use.
"Spearow, use Peck! Beedrill, Rock Smash! Pikachu, use Tackle!" Ash ordered as his Pokémon lunged towards Graveler. Due to their incredible speed, all three connected with Graveler.
Graveler staggered a bit from the impact of the attacks but quickly recovered.
"That strength isn't enough to take down a Rock-type Pokémon. You need to harness the power of your Pokémon and have them concentrate their energy in their attacks. The distance makes their strikes lose power until they build up speed. What you should have done was close the distance so your attacks would be much stronger," the mysterious man corrected as Ash listened attentively.
"But let me show you. Graveler, use Rock Throw!" he ordered, and Graveler covered its body with rocks that were then hurled in the direction of Ash's three Pokémon, hitting them directly due to their proximity to Graveler.
Spearow, Beedrill, and Pikachu were struck by the rocks and fell to the ground, quite weakened.
"Don't give up, Ash! You can still do it!" Misty shouted, encouraging the young Trainer.
Ash nodded, determined to keep fighting.
"Come on, Spearow, Beedrill, Pikachu, get up!" Ash said, urging his Pokémon to get back on their feet.
The three Pokémon struggled to their feet, despite their injuries. Ash knew they needed to focus more and get closer to Graveler to make a stronger impact.
"Let's go again! Spearow, Beedrill, Pikachu, charge and attack with everything you've got!" Ash ordered.
Ash's three Pokémon advanced rapidly toward Graveler, concentrating their energy in their attacks.
This time, when they reached Graveler, they were close enough to make a powerful impact. Spearow pecked fiercely with Peck, Beedrill struck with its sharp paws using Rock Smash, and Pikachu leaped and headbutted with a powerful Tackle. Graveler staggered back from the impact and then fell to the ground, defeated.
"We did it!" Ash shouted, jumping with excitement.
The mysterious man smiled and applauded, impressed with Ash's determination and his Pokémon.
"Well done, Ash. You've learned the importance of strategy and how to make the most of your Pokémon's abilities. Also, remember that many Rock-type Pokémon are also Ground-type, so you should know when to use Thunderbolt," the man said, approaching Ash. Ash smiled, happy to have learned a valuable lesson.
"Thank you very much, sir. With this, I think I'll be ready for a rematch with Brock," Ash said as he hugged his Pokémon. Ash had already learned how to face Pokémon with great defense, and his joy spread to Mirian, Sayaka, and Misty, who watched with happiness as Ash's cheerful attitude prevailed.

.
.
Preparing for his first gym battle of the day, Ash stood in front of the gym with Misty, Mirian, and Sayaka by his side.
"Let's go, guys. It's time for you to see me win my first gym badge," Ash declared as he opened the gym door. Unlike his first battle, there was now a small audience, mostly made up of children who resembled Brock and others holding banners in support of the gym leader.
Misty noticed this and whispered to Ash, "It looks like there are a lot of kids here. Brock must be a hero to them."
"Definitely," Ash responded. "Brock has been a gym leader for a long time, and many kids have come to challenge him and follow in his footsteps."
Mirian, who was behind them, added, "He must also be a role model for many Rock-type trainers. It's impressive that he's come this far in his career at just 18 years old."
Sayaka nodded in agreement. "Besides, he's been through a lot in his life and has had to take on a lot of responsibility. I think we can cut him some slack for being so charismatic."
Ash smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed about his earlier reaction. "You're right. Maybe I was a bit too hard on him."
All of this was observed by Brock, who, with his doctor's heart senses, understood everything. He then approached Ash and grabbed his shoulder.
"I used to see you as a child, but catching the attention of such beautiful ladies makes me understand that you and I can be the best of friends. After the battle, I hope you'll talk about your secrets with your great friend, Brock."
Ash smiled, relieved that Brock hadn't taken his earlier reaction the wrong way. "Of course, Brock! After the battle, we'll talk about everything. But first, I want to challenge you to a gym battle!" Ash exclaimed with enthusiasm.
Brock nodded with a smile on his face and walked to the center of the stadium. "Alright, Ash! As the gym leader, I accept your challenge. Let the battle begin!" Brock declared, releasing his first Pokémon.
Brock threw his Poké Ball into the air, summoning his Geodude. Ash did the same with his Beedrill. Both Pokémon took their battle stances, ready to fight.
"Geodude, use Rock Throw!" Brock commanded.
Geodude raised its arms, and a large rock materialized out of thin air. It was hurled towards Beedrill, but Beedrill managed to dodge it with a swift movement.
"Beedrill, use Fury Attack!" Ash ordered.
Beedrill began to flap its wings furiously and attacked Geodude with a series of pecks and wing strikes. Geodude tried to defend itself, but Beedrill's attacks were too fast and precise.
Brock didn't give up and ordered Geodude to use Tackle. Geodude charged at Beedrill, but Beedrill managed to evade the attack at the last moment. Beedrill then closed in on Geodude and struck it with a powerful Rock Smash.
"Geodude, Harden!" Brock commanded.
Geodude's body glowed as it increased its defense.
"Beedrill, continue with Fury Attack," Ash ordered, and Beedrill lunged at Geodude again.
Beedrill's relentless Fury Attack continued, with quick and precise strikes that Geodude struggled to withstand. The battle was intense, with both Pokémon showing their determination.
Brock knew he had to act quickly to avoid Geodude being defeated. He ordered Geodude to use Rock Throw again, but this time with a different strategy. Geodude raised a rock and split it in two, creating a shower of small rocks that headed towards Beedrill.
Beedrill tried to dodge the rocks, but couldn't avoid them all. Some hit its wings, making it unable to fly easily. Brock seized the opportunity and commanded Geodude to use Tackle to charge at Beedrill. Geodude struck Beedrill with force, sending it to the ground.
But Beedrill wasn't ready to give up just yet. It got back on its feet, despite its injuries, and launched another Fury Attack at Geodude. Geodude attempted to defend itself with a Tackle, which hit Beedrill, but Beedrill used the small space to strike with a Double Hit.
The battle was fiercely contested, and both Pokémon were tired and injured. But neither of the trainers was ready to give up and continued to command their Pokémon.
The battle would continue until one of the Pokémon was knocked out or one of the trainers decided to withdraw.
Beedrill was clearly weakened after Geodude's attack. Ash knew he had to act quickly if he wanted a chance to win the battle.
"Beedrill, use Rock Smash!" Ash ordered with determination.
"Geodude, respond with Mega Punch!" Brock ordered excitedly.
Beedrill got to its feet and approached Geodude with its fists glowing with energy. Geodude, on the other hand, prepared to launch its own punch.
The two Pokémon met in the center of the battlefield and unleashed their attacks simultaneously. Beedrill's blow hit Geodude's rocky body, while Geodude's punch landed on Beedrill's head.
The energy from both attacks combined into a massive explosion that shook the ground and raised a cloud of dust and debris.
When the dust settled, both Pokémon were lying on the ground. The gym referee observed the situation and announced,
"Both Pokémon are unable to continue. The first battle ends in a tie."
Mirian, Sayaka, and Misty were sitting in the bleachers, watching the exciting battle between Ash and Brock. When the battle came to an end, they stood up and began to talk among themselves.
"That battle was impressive, both Pokémon fought with great strength," said Misty, admiring the Pokémon's abilities.
"Yes, it was a closely contested match. Brock and Ash are very good trainers," added Mirian, nodding in agreement.
"I was surprised by Brock's strategy at the end with Geodude. The Rock Slide was very clever," commented Sayaka, analyzing the battle.
"But Ash didn't lag behind; Beedrill's Double Hit was quite effective too. Both trainers are really good at what they do," replied Misty, admiring both of them.
"Yes, and I'm sure the next battle will be just as exciting. I'm eager to see which Pokémon they'll use," said Mirian, excited.
The three girls sat back down and continued to enjoy the rest of the battle, eagerly awaiting to see who would emerge victorious in the next round.
"Good fight, Beedrill, you managed to defeat that Geodude," said Ash as he returned Beedrill.
"You've improved a lot, Ash. I didn't expect you to defeat my Geodude," Brock said with an excited smile. "But this is just the beginning; Onix is your next opponent."
Brock called out Onix onto the battlefield.
"Same here, Spearow, it's your time to battle," Ash shouted.
Spearow and Onix took their positions on the battlefield, ready for the second round of the battle. Brock knew that Onix was a tough and powerful Pokémon, so he was confident in his victory.
"Onix, use Rock Throw," Brock ordered.
Onix began lifting large rocks from the ground with its powerful jaws and hurled them towards Spearow. However, Ash was ready to respond.
"Spearow, use Peck," Ash commanded. Spearow started flapping its wings rapidly, dodging the rocks thrown by Onix and closing in on its opponent with incredible speed.
Spearow pecked at Onix with its sharp beak, causing moderate damage. Brock didn't give up and ordered.
"Onix, use Tail Whip to hit that elusive Spearow."
Onix launched its long tail towards Spearow, but the flying Pokémon managed to dodge the attack with a swift flight. Ash seized the opportunity and ordered Spearow to use Peck.
Spearow approached Onix at great speed and attacked it repeatedly with its beak, causing significant damage. Brock couldn't believe what he was seeing and ordered Onix to use Rollout to make its body longer and reach Spearow. Onix began to spin rapidly, making its body uncoil and elongate.
Spearow tried to dodge the attack, but Onix hit it hard, sending it flying to the other side of the battlefield. Ash didn't give up and ordered Spearow to use Fury Attack. Spearow quickly got up and started attacking Onix with a series of pecks and wing strikes. Onix tried to defend itself with its rocky body, but Spearow's attacks were too fast and precise.
Brock was closely watching the battle, analyzing Onix's moves and searching for a way to counterattack.
"Onix, use Rock Throw," Brock ordered, realizing that his Pokémon needed a stronger attack to stop Spearow. Onix began lifting a large rock from the ground and threw it at Spearow with force. The flying Pokémon tried to dodge it, but the rock hit it directly, causing considerable damage.
Ash frowned upon seeing Spearow injured, but he didn't give up. "Spearow, use Quick Attack again," Ash commanded.
Spearow approached Onix at high speed, pecking and striking it with its wings. Brock ordered Onix to defend itself with its rocky body, but Spearow's attacks were too fast and continuous. Brock knew he had to do something to change the course of the battle.
Brock nodded with determination when he heard Ash's orders and decided to follow his strategy.
"Onix, use Harden and endure Spearow's attack. Wait for it to get close enough and counterattack with a Body Slam," Brock ordered.
Onix began to glow brightly as it used Harden, increasing its resistance. As Spearow continued to attack, Onix endured the blows with its sturdy rocky body, waiting for the right moment to counterattack. Spearow kept up its Quick Attack, pecking and striking Onix without stopping.
But just when it seemed like Spearow was about to defeat Onix, the rocky Pokémon moved incredibly fast and landed a powerful Body Slam, sending Spearow flying to the other side of the battlefield.
Ash frowned upon seeing Spearow injured again, but he remained determined.
"Spearow, get up and use Fury Attack," Ash ordered.
Spearow struggled to get back on its feet and began attacking Onix with a series of pecks and wing strikes. However, this time, Onix was prepared. Using its size and strength, Onix grabbed Spearow with its jaws and threw it to the ground with force, weakening it.
"Spearow can't continue. Onix is the winner of this round. Choose your last Pokémon," the referee announced.
Spearow's defeat caught Ash off guard, but he quickly shook off those thoughts and returned it to its Poké Ball.
Misty, Sayaka, and Mirian watched the battle with great interest from the stands and couldn't help but feel the excitement of the battle as it unfolded. Seeing Brock's strategy and how Onix managed to defeat Spearow, Misty exclaimed:
"Incredible! Brock has always shown himself to be a clever trainer, and this time his strategy worked perfectly."
Sayaka nodded in agreement. "Yes, it was very impressive to see how Brock used Onix's size and strength to stop Spearow. And Ash also proved to be a good trainer by not giving up and continuing to fight until the end."
Mirian smiled. "Exactly, this battle was exciting from start to finish. And even though Ash lost this time, I'm sure he'll come back stronger in the next battle."
Misty, Sayaka, and Mirian continued to discuss the battle, analyzing the trainers' strategies and the Pokémon's moves. It was clear that they were all enjoying the spectacle.
Ash looked at the Pikachu on his shoulder, which understood his gaze and leaped onto the battlefield where Onix was. The small Electric-type Pokémon positioned itself in the center of the field, observing the massive Onix in front of it.
Pikachu, we're at a size disadvantage, but not a strength one. Use your speed and Quick Attacks to weaken Onix," Ash ordered, confident in his Pokémon's abilities.
Ash knew that facing a Pokémon like Onix wouldn't be easy. He observed Pikachu carefully, analyzing his chances of success in the battle. He knew that electricity wasn't very effective against Rock and Ground-type Pokémon like Onix, but he also knew that Pikachu was a brave and clever Pokémon, capable of finding a way to win even in the most challenging situations.
"Pikachu, use Quick Attack to dodge Onix's attacks and get close enough to deliver an electric shock," Ash commanded.
Pikachu nodded and darted towards Onix, evading the Rock Throw attacks and using his electrically charged body to increase his speed.
"Onix, stop him with Rock Throw!" Brock ordered.
But Ash quickly reacted to Brock's command and shouted, "Pikachu, jump and keep using Quick Attack!"
Pikachu jumped just in time, avoiding the rocks thrown by Onix. Using his Quick Attack ability, Pikachu created multiple copies of himself with his speed, confusing Onix and avoiding being hit by its attacks.
Meanwhile, the real Pikachu stealthily approached Onix and delivered a powerful electric shock to its body, causing significant damage. Onix shook angrily, trying to hit Pikachu with its tail, but the Electric-type Pokémon was too fast and easily dodged the attack. Ash was amazed by his partner's skills and felt more confident than ever in his victory.
"Pikachu, use your tail and strike Onix with all your might," Ash ordered with determination.
Pikachu used all his strength to hit Onix with his tail, but it wasn't enough, and Brock took advantage of the situation to order Onix to use Harden.
Harden is a Rock-type move that increases the user's defense. By using it, Onix began moving faster and more agile, making it difficult for Pikachu to land a hit. Ash realized he needed to change his strategy.
Ash took a few seconds to analyze the situation and find a strategy that would allow him to defeat Onix. He knew that electric attacks weren't effective against Rock and Ground-types like Onix, but he also knew that Pikachu was a clever and versatile Pokémon.
"Pikachu, use your speed and evasion skills to dodge Onix's attacks, and when you have the opportunity, use your Iron Tail attack on a weak point," Ash ordered.
Pikachu nodded and prepared for the next round of the battle. Onix advanced quickly, attempting to strike Pikachu with its tail, but the small Electric-type Pokémon moved with agility, evading each of the attacks.
Suddenly, Pikachu saw his chance and ran towards Onix.
But Brock predicted it.
"He fell into the trap, take advantage of your new speed and trap Pikachu with Bind," Brock ordered, and Onix quickly stopped Pikachu's advance while squeezing him as if he were a boa constrictor.
Seeing Pikachu desperate due to the bind and with no way out, Ash ordered Pikachu to use Thunderbolt.
As expected, Thunderbolt was ineffective against Onix.
"It looks like this is the end, Onix. Let's finish this with a slam, just like we defeated his Spearow."
Silence fell over the battlefield as Onix prepared for its final attack. Brock was confident that his Rock-type Pokémon would finish Pikachu with a single blow, just as he had defeated his Spearow in the past. However, something unexpected happened.
Pikachu's electric attacks began to affect the fire suppression system, triggering a burst of water that rained down on the Rock-type Pokémon. Pikachu seized the opportunity to escape Onix's grip and prepared to continue the battle.
"It's time to end this, Pikachu. Focus all your energy into your tail and finish off Onix."
Instead of using his electric attack, Pikachu concentrated all his strength and energy into his tail, channeling it into a silver glow. Brock and Onix watched cautiously, not knowing what to expect.
In an instant, Pikachu lunged at Onix with incredible speed and precision, striking it with his Iron Tail. The impact was so powerful that Onix staggered, unable to maintain its balance. Pikachu took the opportunity to attack again, striking repeatedly with his Iron Tail.
Onix tried to counterattack, but Pikachu's speed and agility were too much for it. Finally, Onix collapsed to the ground, defeated. Brock and Ash looked at each other in surprise, not expecting such a powerful move.
Ash, recovering from the shock, ran towards his friend Pikachu and hugged him affectionately.
"That was amazing, Pikachu! You learned Iron Tail!" Ash exclaimed excitedly as he embraced the Electric-type Pokémon.
Brock returned Onix to its Poké Ball, acknowledging that it had put up a great fight. Then, he approached Ash to present him with the badge.
"Congratulations, Ash! You've proven yourself to be a skilled and brave trainer. You deserve this," Brock said as he handed over the badge.
Ash took the badge with pride and admiration. It was his first Gym Badge, and he had earned it through hard work and determination.
"Thank you, Brock! I'll never forget this battle. Onix was a formidable opponent, but Pikachu overcame it with his Iron Tail. It was incredible!"
Pikachu smiled, feeling happy to have mastered a new move. He knew he had an incredibly dedicated trainer and a great friend in Ash.
"Yes, it was an incredible battle. But there's still a lot to do. We'll keep training and improving together, Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed excitedly.
After Brock presented Ash with the badge and congratulated Pikachu on its incredible victory, Misty, Sayaka, and Mirian approached to congratulate the young trainer.
"Ash, that was amazing! You're truly a great trainer!" Misty exclaimed, smiling.
"Yes, I agree. I've never seen such a powerful move before," Sayaka added, nodding.
Mirian, who had been watching the battle with great interest, couldn't help but approach Ash shyly.
"Ash, I want to congratulate you too. Your training has paid off, and I'm so proud of you," she said, blushing.
Ash smiled gratefully and thanked the three girls for their kind words.
"Thank you, everyone. It really means a lot to me. But I have to admit, I wouldn't have done it without Pikachu," he said, stroking his loyal companion's head.
Misty, Sayaka, and Mirian blushed upon hearing Ash's words and looked at each other, feeling a strange sensation in their chests.
"Whoa, don't brag about your popularity with the ladies, buddy..." Brock teased with a laugh, and before he could continue teasing Ash, the mysterious man who had helped Ash so much appeared through the door.
"The world is too big to be stuck in a Gym, Brock, where type advantages don't matter if there's passion between a trainer and their Pokémon."
"You're...," Brock exclaimed in amazement at the man standing before him, catching the attention of Ash's group.
Then the man removed his glasses and the fake beard he had been wearing, revealing a striking resemblance to Brock.
"What?! My father?" Brock stammered, unable to believe what he was seeing and hearing. He couldn't help but feel excited to see his father again after so long.
Flint smiled and approached his son to embrace him, while Brock's siblings excited
Flint smiled and approached his son to embrace him, while Brock's siblings excitedly greeted their father.
"Yes, son, I've returned to the life I love so much. And I'm very proud of you, of how strong and determined you've become. But I don't just want to see you; I want to meet Ash and his friends as well. That's why I'm asking you to join them on their journey so that you can learn more about Pokémon and the world that surrounds them," Flint said, addressing Ash with a warm smile. "And if you'll allow it, I'd like my son Brock to accompany you on your adventure. It would be the perfect opportunity for both of you to get to know each other better and enjoy the life of Pokémon trainers together."
Ash and his friends looked at each other, amazed and excited by the situation, and then nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes, of course, Brock can join us! It would be great to have him on our team," Ash said, smiling broadly.
Misty, Sayaka, and Mirian couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the idea of having Brock on board since all three of them had feelings for Ash. With Brock around, there would be fewer opportunities to be alone with Ash. However, they couldn't deny that they were happy for their friend.
"Yes, Brock, join us! It will be an incredible adventure," Misty added with a smile. Brock looked at his father, then at Ash and his friends, and finally nodded with an excited smile.
"Of course! I'm thrilled to join you all on this adventure," Brock said, feeling a lump in his throat. Flint approached his son and gave him a hug, feeling the excitement and love between them.
"Go together and discover everything that the world of Pokémon has to offer. And Brock, never forget how proud I am of you and everything you've achieved," Flint said, tears in his eyes. Brock was overwhelmed by emotions and couldn't help but cry as well.
"Thank you, Dad. I love you so much," Brock said, feeling the love and support from his family and friends. Ash and his friends watched the scene with smiles, feeling happy and grateful to share this adventure with Brock and his father.
But before leaving, Brock took out a notebook and looked at his father.
"But first, if you're going to take care of my siblings, you need to know what each of them likes to eat, their sleeping habits, and all the other household tasks."
He then launched into a lengthy exposition about his siblings' lives that began to overwhelm Flint and made Ash and his companions smile with amusement. Ash had won his first Gym Badge, and they had gained a new member for their team.
