A/N:

Final upload for this story, guys.

This entire journey has been supported by readers just like you, and you yourself. Whether monetarily on pa-atreon or with good reviews, or even just by the act of reading the story itself. I guess it's a good time to let you know that I just officially uploaded the very last chapter (barring any epilogues) on my pa-atreon page. Thank you so much for sticking with me so long. Oak might have ended, but I haven't. We just finished a poll on the same pa-atreon page that means the next story I'll be working on is a self insert into the body of Clark Kent in the MCU (Update; The first chapter of that, along with the first four chapters of an SI into an OC firebender during the 100 year war are both live right here, right now). Feel free to follow or favourite my profile so you can get notified once that comes out. Thank you. Thank you all so much.

Of course no one had accepted peace, not at first. Not even Indigo had taken the deal at the end of the day. Oak had called my intentions admirable but my execution flawed. When the time came for me to carry out my threats, Sabrina had stared me down and essentially forced me to look for a better way. And then I did.

I couldn't force them, but I could approach things from a different angle. I registered as a trainer in Hoenn the very next day. Not a single gym had made me use more than a single pokemon. Permanently mega-evolved as they were, my team was more than a match for the best of the region. The Ever Grande conference had been a formality, and not many were surprised when after sweeping the whole thing without sending out a single pokemon other than Igneel, I used the rights vested in every conference winner and triggered my Elite challenge immediately.

The Elite Four were, in a similar vein, no threat. Wallace's team had been devastated in the fight at Mewtwo's island months prior and even though he'd begun training a new team, Igneel still could not be denied in the end. When he surrendered, I took my place as Champion of Hoenn, and overhauled much of the league structure.

After that, I signed up at the next Indigo conference. It was practically unheard of, but not contrary to any written law. At this point, I did not just enjoy the strength of power, but popular support. The fight against Mewtwo had been streamed to the rest of the world after all, and I'd done my best to make sure my intentions and plans were similarly conveyed. Instead of keeping to myself and letting the press dictate my image as they saw fit, I'd taken charge of things. Started talking on forums, releasing videos, explaining things from my perspective and giving answers to the questions people had.

Someway somehow, just that had been enough to get me the popularity that made the powers that be hesitant to pass laws to block me from doing just what I was doing right now.

In time, the Indigo conference fell with similar ease. Kenpachi enjoyed the workout. Eventually, Lance was the only one that stood before me, and even he fell. His Mega Dragonite was special, but even it could not match up against six mega evolved pokemon. It had managed to defeat Igneel, but had fallen to Ino immediately after. My mega evolved psychic had grown the most thanks to Mewtwo's power, and she enjoyed showing off as she sliced Lance's team of dragons to bits. He gave a fight, but not a particularly good one.
In the same way the first champion had unified Kanto and Johto to form Indigo, I'd brought Hoenn and Indigo together to form the United Pokemon States.

With that, my taste for conquest was sated. There was no backing for me in Sinnoh. I'd considered it, but unlike in Indigo and Hoenn where the people had grown to know, like and trust me, the civilians of Sinnoh were virtually unknown. I was forced to settle for 75% of the world united under my banner, and it was more than enough for me.

Ruling the regions would have been stressful if I couldn't just appear wherever I was needed with a bit of concentration. It would also have been much more stressful if I didn't just have the power to force everyone to fall in line with my plans. With true unity, the resources of both regions had been put into ensuring maximum welfare for the people. There was no widespread suffering in any region even before me, but I was making it my goal to eradicate even the edge cases. Those who lived in remote areas without access to key resources were the first to feel my influence, and standards of living across the board were on an upwards trajectory.

That's why when I received the request for this meeting, I wasn't that surprised. I'd ruled over the UPS for close to half a decade now. "Cynthia of Sinnoh. To what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked her as she walked into my office at the top of what had been formerly known as the Indigo Plateau.

"Sinnoh wants in. This arrangement you've got here. We want a seat at the table" She asked, and I smiled at her as she spoke the words I'd been waiting to hear.

"Why?"
"Let's not kid ourselves. You've done a good job in the last few years. All in the name of international cooperation, you've shipped us goods cheaper than what we have. You've opened new avenues of entertainment to my citizens, at this rate, everything consumed in Sinnoh will have a UPS badge on it by the end of the decade"

'Within the next two years actually' I silently corrected her.

"My citizens can already see how good the other regions have it. No wild pokemon attacks, free healthcare, Universal Basic Income, and all the other good stuff. They see it, and they want it. They look to us as if to ask why we haven't joined in yet, and everyday our reasons get less and less convincing."

"So you want to invite me in before your citizens throw open the doors to welcome me" I concluded for her.

"Yes. But I have conditions"

"Of course you do. Please list them out for me."

"First of all, I maintain my position as Champion. Similar to the deal you offered us all those years ago at the island"

"No"

"No?"

"That deal was based on immediate surrender. This is years after. That deal is gone." I tell her simply.

She stares at me, and I stare back.

"What can you give me?" She says

"Good. Now you're talking"

A/N; Well, they all lived happily ever after. I know a few plot points are left unaddressed, but that's a matter for future me. I hope this gives you all the closure you deserve. Both the stories I've been raving about for the past six weeks are live right now! Go check em out.
