A/N: I do not own the Naruto anime or manga series

It should be noted with the end of the Naruto manga and Naruto Shippuden series, switching Hinata and Sakura between teams 7 and 8 has another purpose. With Hinata descendant of Hamura Otsutsuki, Hagoromo's twin brother, Naruto being reincarnation of Asura as well as descendant, and Sasuke being reincarnation of Indra and well as descent.

Plus it's not like Sakura won't benefit being on Team 8. Sakura started off as a Genjutsu type before becoming a medical ninja and Kurenai is a Genjutsu specialist so I can actually do something with that little detail that Kishimoto never build on (even though we know Kakashi can perform Genjutsu himself). I still can have her train as a medical ninja under Tsunade but I can at least make Sakura more useful with both Genjutsu and Medical jutsu as well as her strength.

But then a puff of smoke surrounded the Shuriken revealing to be Naruto in disguise using the transformation jutsu, and he had a kunai ready.

"Eat this!" Naruto threw the kunai knife toward Zabuza.

Zabuza removed moved sideways removing his hand from the water prison but was barely cut. Out of rage Zabuza came at Naruto with the demon wind shuriken as Naruto was falling into the water. "I'll destroy you!"

Kakashi got in front of Zabuza and used the metal plate on his gloved hand to block the shuriken as Naruto hit the water.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Hinata responded.

Naruto rose out of water for breath of air.

"Naruto, that was an excellent plan!" Kakashi said. "Your dad would be proud of you."

Naruto laughed. "I knew I couldn't beat him with my wind clones but I knew how to use them to distract him and to get my plan into action. When he destroyed my clones I turned into a demon wind shurikens and used the wind from my clones to throw myself toward Sasuke. Sasuke could tell it was me in an instant. But we knew Zabuza would noticed I was missing, so Sasuke had to act quickly so he spun around, pulling out his own shuriken to get the water clone's attention as he threw both the real shuriken and me. I hid in the shadow of the real shuriken and my target was Zabuza. Of course I knew I couldn't fight Zabuza myself. I maybe son of the Fourth Hokage, but even I could tell was still outmatched. My real plan was to break his water prison jutsu! Of course, if Zabuza had took us seriously earlier when we said we weren't leaving you behind, he might have realized what we were up to. We got lucky there. As an added bonus I didn't think I would destroy his water clone in the process. Believe it!"

"Don't brag! As you said you just got lucky!" Sasuke said.

"The whole thing was just a fluke!" Tazuna said.

"It's as Kakashi sensei taught us during the bell test. One genin alone don't stand a chance against a Jonin, but if more than one work together as a team, they might stand a chance," Hinata thought. "Naruto and Sasuke manage to pull off a flawless teamwork without discussing the whole plan with each other and freed Kakashi-sensei because of it. Only luck was that Zabuza catch onto the plan when Naruto brought up about leaving a comrade."

"I got distracted and lost my grip on the water prison." Zabuza said.

"Don't flatter yourself. You weren't distracted. You were forced to let go," Kakashi said. "Your technique worked on me once. But it won't work again. So what's it going to be?"

"Hinata," Sasuke said.

"Right," Hinata and Sasuke took defensive position in front of Tazuna since Naruto was still in the water.

"Ha!" Zabuza folded the blades into one over Kakashi's metal guard allowing him to put more weight and force onto Kakashi. Kakashi managed to threw off the shuriken. The two jumped back creating some distance between them.

Zabuza started making a series of hand signs which Kakashi caught on and started the same process, catching up quickly to Zabuza until they were making the same hand signs in unison.

"Whoa, is this the power of the Sharingan?" Naruto asked.

Finally they stopped at the rooster handsign. "Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"

Two giant streams of water formed in a shape of dragons and coil around each other before colliding sending waves of water inland. Sasuke and Hinata manage to keep Tazuna alive but Naruto had to rise back from the water as he was forced under.

"Amazing. He was able to mirror the hand signs instantly," Sasuke thought.

Sometime during the jutsu Zabuza came at Kakashi with his Zampacto, which Kakashi blocked with a single kunai knife.

"Something isn't right," Zabuza thought. "Sharingan can comprehend and replicate the enemies' technique. However... Both jutsus happened simultaneously."

If HInata had her Byakugan active and wasn't focus on the battle she would have noticed a masked figure in dark kimono robes had showed up in the trees.

"Could it be?" Zabuza and Kakashi broke off and put some distance between them once more. They ran around in circles for a bit then stop. Then they made the same handsign as though Zabuza was going to perform the Hidden Mist Jutsu.

"He's not just following. He moves the same way at the same time," Tazuna noted.

"My movements," Zabuza thought as he lowered one of his arms with Kakashi doing the same. "Its as if he knows what I'm--"

"Going to do next?" Kakashi finished Zabuza's thoughts.

"What?" Zabuza responded. "Is he reading my mind as well?" Zabuza looked at Kakashi's sharingan making another handsign. "He looks at me with that eye..."

"Makes you furious, doesn't it?" Kakashi asked still mriroring Zabuza's movements.

"All you are doing is copying me, like a monkey," Zabuza said.

"You can't beat me with cheap tricks. I'll crush you." Both Zabuza and Kakashi said at the same time frustrating Zabuza more as they started mirroring a series of hand signs again.

"When I finish with you, you'll never never opened that monkey mouth again!" Zabuza said.

But what scared Zabuza was what he saw appeared behind Kakashi, an image of himself as they stopped. "It's me! But how? Is it some kind of illusion jutsu?"

Kakashi used the moment to finish the handsigns. "Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu!" Kakashi's sharingan eye widened as the sharingan spin around.

"What?" Zabuza reponded.

A giant vortex of water formed in front of Kakashi and slammed into Zabuza

"Impossible! I was just about to create a giant vortex. But he created one first!" Zabuza thought as was spiralling through the vortex. "He copies my jutsu before I can even do it. I can't keep up!"

The giant vortex slammed through the forest. Naruto was send back ashore by the waves. Finally Zabuza hit a stable tree as the vortex ended before Kakashi pinned him using a series of kunai knives. Kakashi landed on a branch above Zabuza. "You're finish!"

Slowly the waves retreated back to the sea.

"How? Can you see into the future?" Zabuza asked.

"Yes! This is your last battle," Kakashi said holding up a kunai. "Ever."

But then a series of senbols aka throwing needles came out of nowhere and struck Zabuza in the neck catching everyone by surprise. Kakashi turned to see the Masked ninja as Zabuza hit the ground.

"You were right. It was his last battle."

Naruto manage to reach the others, not too happy to see Zabuza down.

Kakashi jumped down to Zabuza's body and checked the pulse. "No vital signs."

The masked ninja bowed. "Thank you. I been tracking Zabuza for a long time waiting for this chance to finally take him down."

"By your mask, I see you are a tracker ninjafrom the Village Hidden in the Mist. "

"Impressive. Well informed."

"A tracker!" Naruto went on guard.

"Relax idiot. He's here for Zabuza not us," Sasuke said. "Trackers track down rogue ninjas from their village carrying secrets of their village so their secrets remain secrets."

"That is correct. I'm a member of the elite tracking unite of the Village Hidden in the Mist. It was my duty to stop Zabuza."

From his size and voice, he must be the same age as Naruto, and yet he's an elite assassin. He's no ordinary kid, but what is he?" Kakashi thought.

Not satisfied, Naruto rushed up to the tree the tracker ninja was standing on looking between him and Zabuza's body. "What is this? Who do you think you are?" Naruto demanded.

"Naruto," Hinata responded.

"Did you hear me?" Naruto demanded.

"Easy Naruto, he's not our enemy!"

"So what? He took down Zabuza with ease even though it took everything we had to fight him. How can I accept that when we might as well been made fools?" Naruto asked.

"Accept it or not, the fact the matter is it did happen." Kakashi put his hand on Naruto's head. "In this world there were kids was who were younger than you and yet stronger than me." Kakashi looked as Sasuke as if Sasuke reminded him of someone like that before turning to Naruto. "Your dad was one of those kids at one time, Naruto."

"My-my dad," Naruto said.

"Yes. He was gifted shinobi at a young age. He made many shinobies twice his age look like amateurs just as this kid did to us," Kakashi reassured Naruto. "So save your anger for the next enemy."

Naruto hmph and groan.

The teacher ninja shimmered in a swirl of mist and appear at Zabuza's body. He picked up the body and lifted him over his shoulders.

"Your struggles is over for now. I must deal with the remains. There are many secrets in this body. It must not be allowed to fall in the wrong hands. Please excuse me! Farewell!" the ninja made a handsign and another swirl of mist surrounded him and Zabuza before they disappeared.

Kakashi sighed and covered his sharingan eye with his headband. "We haven't completed our mission yet. We still have to get the bridge builder to his bridge."

Tazuna chuckled. "Sorry I caused this trouble for you. But you can rest at my house when we get to the village."

"Alright! Let's get a move on!" Kakashi started moving but after a few steps he froze before falling over.
