Aero finds himself waking up to the sound of someone's voice. They were shaking him, as they were trying to get him up. But then the shaking went to feeling fingers on his body and this caused the cabbit to burst out into laughter. Only to fall out of bed. He looks and finds himself back in his own room, but the one who greets him was his little brother, who was still wearing his dark blue and white PJ's. Who landed on top of him when they fell.
Klonoa: Aero are you alright?!
Aero: Urge Klonoa?
Klonoa: Oh good you're awake! You weren't waking up and I got worried so I tried what I could to get you up!
Aero: Klonoa, Klonoa it's ok I'm fine! I'm, , ,fine.
He looks at himself, he was back in his sky blue pj's, and what was the most he felt was very familiar, were his wild ears. He felt them, they twitched. Klonoa was confused by this, and before he could ask. Aero gets up to go into the bathroom to look, and was relieved that he was himself again.
Aero: Man it feels good to have these back! That journey really made me miss these wild bats.
Klonoa: What are you talking about Aero?
Aero: Oh uh heh heh sorry Klo, but umm could you give me 15 minuets to get ready, I'll explain later.
Klonoa wanted to ask but agreed, giving his brother plenty of time. While Aero does what he needed to do, and that was freshening up and getting dressed. But not after looking at himself in the mirror a bit more. He thinks back to when he originally wanted to get back at the person who hurt Klonoa. Only to get a better insight on who they really were. And after experiencing on what it would feel like to be what others would call a normal cabbit.
Aero: While it did feel nice, it makes me appreciate what I was actually given. I better get to breakfast before Klonoa starts barking me to come down.
He then joins his brother and grandfather, where food was already prepared. Aero tried his hardest not to tear up, upon seeing his grandfather alive and well. He just greeted them with a smile and was eating away. When he was able to settle, he told them what happened.
Klonoa: Wait you were dream traveling?
Aero: Mhmm and it was actually pretty wild.
Jeramiah: It has been awhile since you last told us about any. I am interested in knowing what you've seen Aero.
Klonoa: Yes please tell us, I want to know!
Aero: Well it's gonna sound crazy but this was what happened to me.
With Klonoa's excitement returned, goofy grin, eyes with light and tail wagging. Jeramiah knew this was what both brothers love to hear, stories of adventures. And the preteen cabbit began to recap the events that's happened, all the usual Klonoa's already been on. But with what Aero's seen and faced, seemed different. Even the parts that made him and Klonoa feel pain, but the way Aero described was even more heartbreaking. Mostly cause Jeramiah knew how personal it was to Aero. But when it came to describing the final act was the most tense, that it even made Klonoa shocked, but also hearing how much his brother had to go through and experience it. When it was over the older brother was in tears, but mostly from how much retelling and how exhausted he felt.
Klonoa: So you were me, and yet you mostly kept to yourself and wanted to find out if Huepow really was how it happened with me.
Aero: I know, it was pretty crazy, using ears that you have, it felt strange yet fun. Though I wouldn't change mine. And Huepow, I thought I was going through a dream, but when really. . . it was like you and him were asking for help. And it was quite the journey. I did make a promise that I would get closure and help you.
Klonoa:. . .He really did feel terrible after all. And he was scared that I might hate him?
Aero: Yeah I couldn't blame him, he was in a position where he didn't have many options. But he hopes whenever you two meet again, you can start anew.
Klonoa: Yeah, I would like for that day to come. But for now, I would rather be with you.
Aero: Aww I appreciate it Klonoa. It means a lot.
Jeramiah: You're growing into a young man Aero. Your parents would be proud of you.
Aero: I hope so. It's been a few years since they went missing.
Jeramiah: And you have been doing good to keep you and your brother safe. And I couldn't be any happier to be your guardian. Raising you children have made my years the brightest I've had in a long time.
Klonoa: And we're happy to keep you company. We love you grandpa.
Aero: You took us in when we didn't have anywhere else to go.
Jeramiah: And even if you both decide to venture out, despite there being dangers. You can always return here. Though if you do, please give your Auntie Margarete my best wishes. She would love to see you boys again.
Aero: I'll remember that.
Klonoa: Oh I love Auntie Margarete! She's always bringing us to circuses, and let's us help with decorations and great foods and-
Aero: Ha ha ok easy there little buddy! We'll go, but i'd like to rest up before we do.
Jeramiah: Indeed it is wise to do that. A dream traveler would need to rest after all they experienced. And giving what you told us, you take it easy.
The rest of the day went on as normal, but Jeramiah had asked Aero and Klonoa if they would go with him to town to get a couple of things. To which the boys were excited to say the least. It was an activity all three would do, and Jeramiah said that while he maybe old, doesn't mean he's bound to just sitting around, and even lightly joked that his adventurous spirit doesn't know when to rest. And the three spent the day walking around town, with the brothers exploring. It really was a good day. When they got home, Aero had decided to spend his time on the roof, thinking about his adventure and how much he's been through. It was then that Klonoa came to check on him.
Klonoa: I knew you would still be up here. You thinking about what happened?
Aero: Oh hey Klo, and yeah I have been. I'll say it sure was one crazy way in seeing through your eyes.
Klonoa: And how you kept your promise. You are always a great big brother, and I couldn't ask for anyone better.
Aero: Aww I appreciated it. I do it cause I want others like you to not feel alone. Or whatever happens I would do what I can to help.
Klonoa: Hey I've been wondering, you said it was your dream to explore beyond Breezegale right? Does that mean you plan on leaving soon?
Aero: . . .That's right, when I turn 13. There's a whole new world that's just waiting to be explored. And Breezegale hasn't really seen many phantom beast attacks.
Klonoa: But you'll come by to visit won't you?
Aero: Of course I will, if I'm not too far away. And I'll be sure to send messages and money to you and grandpa! And who knows maybe when you're ready, you'll become an adventurer too.
Klonoa: Yeah and I may meet new people and make new friends too! I hope they'll travel with me too!
Aero Ha ha ha ha yeah same here! And who knows we might even meet on the road or something. Anything can happen when you're venturing, and hey you might even make life time friends, , ,friends who mean the most to you. And those who got your back. Those who will be there for you, as you are for them. . .
Klonoa: Aero your crying again. Your remembering your old friend?
Aero: Yeah I guess I am. Sorry Klonoa, I guess that's one of the things I'm hoping to meet again.
Klonoa: You said something happened with you two. Was it that bad?
Aero: It was, , , but that's something I wouldn't want you to worry about. But I know we just needed time apart. He may sound mean, but he's got a good heart. He's just lost right now, and I'm hoping that one day, someday he'll see that it's alright to let those who mean well to you, back into his heart. If there's two ways to describe him, is stubborn but a great friend, and a loyal one who'll fight with or for you. And it's thanks to him, I am who you see me as today.
Klonoa: Wow he really does sound like a really cool guy! I hope I will get to meet him someday, I bet right now he's out adventuring and finding all kinds of cool places, and maybe even treasure.
Aero: If I know one thing, he makes use of firearms. But he's had a lot of training from his father, so he isn't some dumb kid. Reckless sometimes, but not dumb.
Klonoa: Huh so like guns? Well that sounds scary, but as long as he's using them for good, then I guess I got nothing to worry about. Maybe. . .
Aero: Well I'll come clean and say that that's how I used my crossbow. I had practice when I visited.
Klonoa: Aero you really meet the strangest people.
Aero: Hey you aren't all that clear little bro! You might meet even stranger people on your journey!
Klonoa: Heh heh heh come on that's not all that bad, it makes adventuring all the more interesting!
Aero: Yeah I guess that is true. . .But that doesn't mean I can't do this come here you!
He then grabs hold and gives him a ruffling of his fur, fallowed by going for his belly.
Klonoa: Wahh! A-aero what are you- No Aero please anything but tha-Pffha ha ha ha ha ha ha Noo not my stomach no!
Aero: You cannot escape the tickle monster! I'll tickle your weak spots till you call uncle!
Klonoa: Manya! Ha ha ha ha not fair Aero! You'll pay for this!
The brothers were having a moment after all that's happened, and Klonoa knows his brother wasn't doing it out of anything maliciousness. Despite being in the position, it was clear that his brother did it cause he wanted to brighten the mood. The smaller cabbit managed to slip away and counters with his own fury of tickles, and was giving his brother the same amount. By going for places like his stomach, underarms and even his feet. It was until both brothers were in a laughing fit and laying on the roof, trying to catch their breath. Aero and Klonoa knew they were on good terms and went to join their grandfather for dinner. And both told about what Aero plans to do.
Jeramiah: You have always been a free spirit. But you have shown to be responsible too. I can't stop you from going down this path Aero. But please keep safe and if you ever feel homesick, feel from to pay us a visit.
Aero: I will.
Jeramiah: What matters is knowing you're well and be sure to keep us updated whenever you can. We love you Aero.
Aero: Thanks grandpa, I love you guys too. I'll be careful, and if I get any souvenirs I'll be sure to send them.
Klonoa: When I'm able to go on my own adventures, maybe I could tag along.
Aero: I don't see why not, you're already pretty capable. Just remember to use your head and heart when you're in a situation you'll find yourself in.
Klonoa: I will Aero.
Since then the older brother would eventually leave home, but has left behind something where Klonoa would feel close. It was his blue attire that has been well kept and they taken a picture before Aero left. He even mentioned if Klonoa were to ever meet old faces, he'll know what to do. Since then Aero had a feeling his brother will become a strong yet kind hearted adventurer, something he's always been since his first dream travel. And maybe someday they will meet again. Till then a dream traveler will venture, seeking new locations, meeting new people and making long lasting bonds. While there will be dangers, his spirit stays strong, and his heart beats with fiery passion.
Aero: A dream is just a dream. But when we put our efforts into them, and take that first step. We decide what will await. And being a dream traveler brings new opportunities for us to experience. And being a hero comes with that title as well. Klonoa will someday experience great things, just as I will. It's a new day, and a new adventure Wahoo Rupurudu!
