Silence penetrated throughout Ravenclaw tower, the silence was broken only by the sound of the elements striking against the trees of the forbidden forest that the tower overlooked. The young pureblood had an unreadable expression plastered across his face. The young Malfoy scion ran a hand through his platinum blonde mane sighing in frustration. His mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions. Steeling his trembling body he made his way towards one of the midnight blue sofas in the centre of the common room sitting down.

"Draco", a soft voice began, the voice was low and quiet like a whisper cutting through the silence like a knife.

Snapping his head to locate the source of the voice, the young pureblood grimacing in pain, "Chang", Draco said, identifying the voice and acknowledging the owner.

"Did you get resorted", The Ravenclaw asked gently.

"Not exactly", The pureblood said.

"What do you mean", The Ravenclaw asked raising an eyebrow.

"My father demanded I be resorted, but Dumbledore asked me if I wanted to be resorted I said no", The young pureblood said.

"Y-you did", Cho stammered, a mix of surprise and a small sliver of pride coloring her voice.

"Why", she continued.

"You", Draco said a faint blush staining his cheeks.

"Me", Cho said, her voice exuding confusion.

"Y-yeah I thought about what you said, about how I'd just be sorted into Ravenclaw for a second time, and I thought it was pointless especially if it wasn't going to change my sorting, plus I like being in Ravenclaw with you," Draco explained, his cheeks stained with a crimson blush.

"Draco", The Ravenclaw said, tying to fight off the rising blush she felt creeping up her neck and onto her cheeks.

"Good night" The Ravenclaw hurriedly added before bolting to her dormitory leaving Draco alone by himself.
