The Jaws Of Descinthralement
Chapter 2
It could only look at the barren land within its sight. Chalky white sand that stretched out endlessly could cause anyone to crack into insanity if they stayed in such a place for too long. Their mental barriers would break under the cruel reality that there was no escape from this place. Silence reigned supreme here. The Jaw Titan, however, didn't care about any of this. It was born here from clay, yet it harbored organs, skin tissue, skin, bone, teeth, and even hair. Clay couldn't create such a being, yet normality doesn't exist here.
The Jaw Titan looked up, its red eyes doused with amazement as the countless stars shone in the distance. The beast lowered its head and turned to the left. A giant tree made out of pure, dazzling light brightened the whole realm, acting as a beacon for lost people.
The Jaw Titan was sent here whenever its current partner did not need it. It was so extremely bored that it began to scratch the milk-white sand with a somber expression. Its brothers and sisters were in different locations, wanting to avoid being in the presence of each other. The Jaw Titan disliked this heavily. They shouldn't be fighting one another but keeping each other company.
The Jaw Titan didn't possess a name. It was given the most bland name describing its special trait. It possessed the strongest jaws and teeth. They could've done a better job naming the Jaw Titan, but they settled for the bare minimum. Looking at the memories of its current partner, it began to pick which name would suit its form. Its current host's inner feelings were being suppressed. Feelings he locked away in an attempt to pursue a grand purpose in life. In other words, his purpose was to find a purpose.
The Jaw Titan decided to pick a name from its partner's mind–Bjorn. Its creator didn't give them names to differentiate themselves, perhaps because she wasn't allowed to speak by that demon. They wished their creator would speak to them, but she refused to utter a single word even after death. Her face wore a constant, expressionless feature, and a deep shadow clouded her eyes, hiding away her once vibrant, ocean-blue eyes.
The Jaw Titan, Bjorn, never left her side. Unlike her other children, he stayed close to her whenever he was not in the physical world. Bjorn wondered if she knew he was always watching her, like a protective gatekeeper, or perhaps she did but didn't acknowledge him. Bjorn wanted his creator to be free. If she was his creator, wouldn't that make her his mother?
Bjorn saw his mother walk past. Her dirty, ragged clothes that hadn't been cleaned for ages represented her soul and mind. She continued to work, even after death. She continued without stopping or rest. Bjorn occasionally tried to stop his mother from molding more clay, but she was a fortress in her solitude, an everlasting machine with no end. However, his attempts were futile, so he decided to watch.
For so long, Bjorn watched as his mother's own blood forced her to do things. It was despicable to fathom. However, no matter how much he tried, he could not stop them or his mother. She was a lost, broken soul that would not find solace in death. This is her life until the cycle breaks.
She'll never be free!

Bjorn didn't know how long had passed since the last time one of his mother's descendants appeared. This one was different, possessing silky smooth black hair that seemed to glimmer like the stars above, and her vibrant, cerulean eyes looked like they held a tidal wave within them. Bjorn knew his host would enjoy this girl's company. She seemed like a kind soul.
She was! Bjorn could feel her purity, which was reminiscent of Rose, his mother's blood-related daughter. Bjorn remembers when she called upon his powers. He felt compatible with her. Rose was a kind girl. Unfortunately, she was related to that demon!
Bjorn learned that this girl was named Frieda. Judging from her memories, she also wanted a better world like her current host. Perhaps they'll meet in the future? Bjorn suddenly rose from his crouched position as he saw his older sister, the Founding Titan, also appear behind Frieda.
Bjorn quickly ran towards the new group, but Frieda and his sister were trapped in chains before he could get any further. How? That shouldn't be possible, right? Bjorn finally noticed a blue, humanoid wisp floating before Frieda and the Founding Titan. Bjorn had some memories of who this was.
Karl Fritz was his name.
Bjorn waited until Karl Fritz left, and once he did, Frieda was stuck there in chains along with the Founding Titan.
Bjorn needed to help them. After all, he was the Jaw Titan. Such chains would be nothing but jello when he bites through them.
"Sinan, thanks for coming today."
"I came as soon as you called for me, Commander Magath!" Sinan gave a salute before standing steadily under the gazes he was getting. He was currently in the War Room with the top brass. This was the first time he'd seen them all in one place.
"Sinan Tiburon, eh? We've heard nothing but positive results from your missions. So much so that you're regarded as the best Jaw Titan in 26 years. As such, you've been given an important mission."
If Sinan recalled, that was General Calvi, whom Magath also took orders from. "I thank you for your praise, General. However, I feel it's a bit too much. I am interested in this mission you wish to assign me with."
Calvi nodded firmly, taking note that Sinan was not one for theatrics. "I'll put it simply. We wish for you to go to Paradis Island."
Sinan gawped, and his composure almost shattered. "I…"
"This is merely a scouting mission, Mr. Tiburon. You'll be tasked with pinpointing the Coordinate and sending us the information so that in the next year, we send the retrieval squad. We believe with your skill set, you'll fit right in and get the job done. Unless we're wrong about this?"
Calvi's words were brisk, like the sound of metal scratching on a wall. Sinan knew the War Room was not taking no for an answer.
"You picked the best, General. I'll get the job done!"
AN: I've heard your prayers and will grace you with the second chapter. I stopped uploading here and over on Web/Novel instead, so that's where I'll be posting mainly, but I will try to upload here as well. (I'm Saurian_Mp4 over there)
I wasn't expecting much from this, but the reviews have been positive, so to those who wanted this to continue, you've greenlit the story! Uploads will vary as I work on other stories, and chapters won't last long. I found it better to write 1k words as it's easier on me when you consider that I'm writing so many other stories. On rare occasions, chapters will be longer.
Jaw Titan = Bjorn
