She had it, with this stupid craftworld. It was even worse than back home on Ulthwe. At least back home, all the people who would smile politely but within their minds contained a thinly veiled sea of disgust. People who thought they were hiding their true feelings through the centuries if not millennia of practiced Aeldari mental and spiritual discipline, but to her it was as clear and visible as if they were some human actors attempting to hide their lack of skill with dramatized emotions.

Here on Biel-Tan, they didn't even try to hide their disgust from her.

She knew there were some who did genuinely love and care for her. Her mother and father, her auntie Macha, uncle Ronahn, madam Tauriel, Ripper, and grandfather; but even with them she felt so alone. Auntie Macha spent most of her time at Biel-Tan and when she did visit it was often to discuss something with grandfather and momma; uncle Ronahn was a ranger so neither of them were around much. Grandfather and momma were Farseers and always busy. Madam Tauriel was more of a teacher than a friend, and her father was well, her father. Ripper couldn't speak but she didn't need him to.

She kept running away from the various districts and domes where most of the craftworld's residents lived and worked and took extra care to avoid any Eldar who were in the wilderness domes meditating. Before she really knew it, she had accidentally gotten herself into a portion of a wilderness dome that was virtually devoid of any other Eldar presence. It was unfamiliar until she walked into a clearing and found a Webway Gate that was the size of a wraithguard.

She didn't know where it would lead to or why it was even here, but her curiosity got the best of her and inspected the runes around the gate. Ripper kept sniffing around. The runes seemed to indicate that only one of the Line of Manan and Ulthran may pass through the gate. That was her line through momma and grandfather. Ripper picked up a scent and from the emotions that he radiated, it was not only a familiar one, but it was her auntie Macha's scent.

That made her even more curious as to see where this gate led too. She focused her mind to channel her psychic power to activate the runes. It was slow going but she activated the runes and the gate sprung to life. The indigo energies of the Webway surged through the gate and opened a portal.

She took a deep breath before stepping through. A surge of energy made her feel as if she was just shocked but she had heard this was normal when entering the Webway without a vehicle. She walked through for what seemed like an hour before she finally found the exit of this path of the Webway. She stepped through once again. Curious as to why her aunt had this secret Webway gate in a remote corner of the Craftworld.

When she left the Webway, she found herself in a large well furnished room of obviously human origin. The walls were filled with tapestries, portraits, and statues. Most were clearly human and of a singular Space Marine, but there was something odd about the two children in many of the portraits. As she took a closer look she realized that it wasn't all that she thought. The children were like her. They were half Eldar. A boy and a girl. They looked younger than her, but she didn't know by how much. She remembered her grandfather saying that because hybrids are so rare, that there is basically no information about a standard growth rate. Auntie Macha said that she had been only taken 25% shorter of the time it normally took for an Eldar child to develop, but who could say if that was fast or slow.

The boy had auburn hair with dark green eyes while the girl had bright red hair with eyes as blue as her own.

Before she could ponder the similarities, she realized there was a low buzzing going off like some sort of alarm. She reached out with her senses trying to sense any hostile emotions, but all she sensed was unbridled excitement and excitement.

The door swung open and there were the two children from the portraits. They came running into the room yelling, "MAMA"!

They suddenly halted as soon as they said the words. They must have overcome their excitement and finally reached out with their senses.

The boy said, "You're not mama", he took a sniff" You smell like her though".

The girl said through tears, "WE WANT MAMA"!

Lofn didn't know what she could do. She came here by accident and now she had two crying children in a place where she wasn't supposed to go.

She knelt down to their eye level and asked, "Does your momma have bright red hair, blue eyes like me, and red lines tattooed to her face"?

The girl sniffled as she answered, "Yes".

Lofn smiled and said, "I think your momma is my auntie Macha. Which makes us cousins. My name is Lofn, pleased to meet you".

They were suddenly excited at the idea of them having a new cousin.

The boy said, "My name is Miguel".

The girl said, "My name is Socorro".

They said together, "Do you want to play with us"?

Lofn smiled as she answered, "Of course".

They started playing as Lofn sensed a new presence running towards the room, panicking as if they had lost something they were in charge of.

When the presence finally arrived at the room, Lofn saw that it was a human woman in green dress with Imperial symbols and symbols of some kind of beast.

The woman gave off a sense of relief that she found what appeared to be her charges, but then went on alert upon noticing her.

The woman said with iron resolve to protect her charges, "Who are you and why are you here? This is the personal residence of Luis Firewolf, Lord of the Firewolves and a Runic Knight".

Socorro spoke up, "She says she is our cousin, lady Elinor. She is just like us".

Elinor sighed and said, "My lady, you cannot trust people just because they say they are your kin. You and your brother are a precious miracle of the Allfather and Allmother. You must be kept safe".

Miguel said, "But she came from the Webway gate and mama said that she made it so that only our family could enter, save father of course".

Elinor said, "Be that as it may, my lord. I believe it would be best if we call your Lord Father".

The twins were ecstatic about the news that their father would be coming. Lofn could only wonder what her uncle was like. Was he like her father? What kind of man captured the heart of her frankly crazy aunt.

Author's Note: I'm back with more Human/Aeldari relationships and wackiness. This time with everyone favorite's couple before Guiliman and Yvraine. Taldeer and LIIVI, along with their absolutely adorable daughter. Not sure if the Wolf and Harlequin needs a third chapter, so I will leave it up to my wonderful readers. Leave a comments with any critiques, ideas, or whether or not one of my short stories deserves more chapters.
