Anne Was sitting on the front porch of Green Gables she was Going to Alice Penhallows wedding tonight and it was exciting. little did she know someone was on his way.

Gilbert Blythe was walking in a nice suit towards Green Gables as he seemed determined, he was nervous but he remembered Anne's affection the other day, then he remembered Phil's Letter: There is nothing between Anne and Roy, all I ask of you as a friend is to try again.

Gilbert was scared but he was determined, he knew it was his only chance. Green Gables soon came into view twirling his Grandmother's ring in his pocket, he sighed and moved forward.

Anne sat on the Porch with her dress being made then suddenly: "Hello Anne."

Anne looked up shyly "hello Gil." Anne said

"I was wondering if you would like to go to Hester Greys Garden with me this Afternoon if you don't mind."

a wave of excitement ran through Anne's Body, but it quickly left as she remembered something.

"Oh I would love to Gil but im going to Alice Penhallow's Wedding tonight, and you know this dress can't sew itself, im really sorry Gilbert I hope you understand."

"Oh it's perfectly fine Anne how about tomorrow?" Gilbert suggested without the slightest bit of wavering in his voice. "oh that would be perfect! oh by the way Gil, it's not Required but-" Anne went pink as she realized what she was going to say. "Um-I Mean Alice has allowed women to have non-invited people show up as escorts for them and I haven't gotten one, so if you would like to show up tonight you could escort me you know be my wedding Partner and-and all that-" Anne Went extremely Red as so did Gilbert but they were both smiling.

"So I was wondering if you would like to go with me Tonight um if you want?"

Gilbert wanted to wrap his arms around her and Kiss her on the spot but, he managed to control himself bringing up a wide smile said "Of course Anne I would love to!" Anne lit up

"Excellent! Pick me up at five forty-five at the latest!"

"yes but what about what I'll wear?" Gilbert asked

Anne thought for a moment then Laughed a musical laugh which melted through his heart. "Ive got it! you could wear that suit your wearing right now, You look very-" she stopped herself from saying the word 'Handsome' "Very what Anne?" Gilbert asked kindly. Anne blushed "Handsome" she said "quite Handsome in it, I think it would suit you well in the wedding." Gilbert's Eyes widened as she called him handsome.

"ok then." Gilbert said absentmindedly

"yes" Anne agreed

they didn't realize their faces were getting closer. "So you will come tonight?" Anne said in a silvery voice "yes" Gilbert breathed back, as their faces got closer "tomorrow afternoon at Hester Grey's as well?" Gilbert said barely above a whisper "yes" Anne soothed back. their Lips inches from each other.

their lips were about to meet until both realized ehat was going on. they pulled away both blushing "Um I have to get ready for the wedding." Anne said Embarrassingly, then Gilbert responded "yes and I also have to Get ready erm-see you tonight Anne."

"yes" Anne said

little did either of them know is that Marilla and Mrs. Lynde were watch the whole scene eith shining eyes.

that night Gilbert rode his buggy to Green Gables in the tuxedo he wore earlier He knocked and Marilla opened the door. "Gilbert!" Marilla Smiled "how lovley to see you! Anne is upstairs she will be down in a minute."

with that Marilla walked to her room. Gilbert waited then the upstairs door opened and his jaw dropped Anne was wearing a Short sleeve creamy blue Dress that looked much like Lapeze design with flower designs on the white chest piece of her dress while she had starflowers In her loosley untied hair.

Anne drifted diwn the stairs like a Goddess. the only changes he died see wete everything else he saw Gorgeous Her Scarlet Red Hair, Anne's white Tender skin was still as beautiful as ever along with her Pretty Pink lips and Green Grey Eyes like a beautiful Hail storm coming.

"Anne-" Gilbert said in Awe

"Gilbert" Anne smiled back

"You look- Gilbert stopped himself and blushed "what were you saying Gilbert?" Anne asked "I-um-I I mean-I-" "oh please Gil just answer or we might never leave!" Anne could barely suppres a laugh at Gilbert's dazed face "ok ok." Gilbert said "you look-Beautiful." his face went redder than annes hair

At that Anne gave a flirtatious "oh" and went red as her hair.

they stared at each other until Anne realized "oh my! we need to get going for the wedding!

Gilbert rushed himself and anne to the buggy, he held out his hand to her. as their hands touched it caused a burning sensation between them and as Anne sat, they stared st each other.

they had a few minutes to spare.

Gilbert stroked her Cheek, while Anne and Gilbert Laced their Fingers absentmindedly. Grey Green Eyes met the Hazel ones.

finally Gilbert saw the time

he cleared his throat "well we must be going, Giddyap!

they soon were at the wedding, Diana Wright was there with her husband, she caught Eye of Anne and Gilbert coming off the buggy.

"Anne! Gilbert! how very lovely to see you both! I didn't expect to see you here Gil."

"oh well Anne mentioned escorts and her slot was open." Gilbert said

"Oh!" Diana said just realizing both were blushing. she started to smile"ok then."

after Alice And her Groom took their oaths and kissed, she threw the bouquet of flowers into the air, all the Girls reached for it only to have it fly over their hands into Annes hands.

Anne looked down at the bouquet for a moment then she heard Gilbert next to her say "Congratulations Anne!" the crowd was looking at both of them for a moment but then turned their attention to the bride and groom.

as soon as they left in a wagon Anne left Gilbert at the punch table to take a walk. "Hello Anne!" Diana said from behind, Anne jumped "Diana, you scared me!" "sorry" she said but Diana smiled like she really wasn't. "I just came by to ask you something about a certain Gilbert Blythe." Diana said

Anne went rather Pink, but then sighed "it's true I rejected Roy." "you actually did!? why?" "because I didn't love him that's why!" "then who do you love Anne? you've rejected too many men already, first Billy, next Gilbert, then Charlie and now Roy, what's it going to be now Anne? Humpty Dumpty?" Diana asked

Anne's face fell from emotional pain "Gilbert-I-I love him.;I realized I always loved him welhen I heard thar he was dying from Typhoid fever." Diana Casped her hands together. "oh this is wonderful Anne! do you think he'll Propose to you again?" "No" Anne said flatly "but-" Diana said but was interrupted "He hates me, he is probably engaged to someone else right now!" Diana realized what she was saying.

"oh Anne! was Christine with Gilbert when he was ill? were they publicly declared as engaged?" "well no." Anne said

"then go and Get him Anne!" Diana stated

Anne smiled at her "thanks Diana, your the best bosom friend I've ever had!"

as the night wore on Anne and Gilbert found themselves walking with each other. Anne was talking about the books she had been reading and how her meeting with Diana went. but somehow Gilbert could only stare at her.

"-and so I said to Fred and Diana that their baby looked like a little Chubby Fred and Fred looked really embarrassed after that!" Anne and Gilbert both started laughing.

they sat on a bench and they looked at each other, the books they were planning on reading forgotten on their laps. Anne's Lips were slightly Parted, and Gilbert's eyes tinkled.

after a minute of staring at each other, they both felt embarrassed.

"Um I guess we should go now." Anne said in a quiet voice "I agree." Gilbert replied just as quietly.

and so Gilbert climbed onto the buggy, Helping Anne up, he Said "Giddyap!" and thy were rocking slowly towards Green Gables.
