Challenger's eyes were alight with excitement as he paced back and forth in front of a table covered with ancient Avalonian manuscripts, occasionally pausing to point out specific texts to Summerlee, who sat across from him, analyzing the parchment with a careful eye.

"Summerlee, just look at this!" Challenger exclaimed, hardly able to contain his enthusiasm. "These manuscripts are an absolute treasure of knowledge! The advancements and discoveries these ancient people made are centuries ahead of our time."

Summerlee, ever the composed counterpart to Challenger's enthusiasm, adjusted his glasses and leaned closer to the text. "Remarkable, indeed," he admitted, tracing the ancient script with a finger. "The depth of their understanding of natural phenomena and the principles governing them is truly unprecedented."

Challenger couldn't help but nod vigorously, "Exactly! And consider the implications this could have for our own research and the scientific community as a whole. It's like stumbling upon a gold mine of untapped potential."

Summerlee raised an eyebrow. "While I share your excitement, George, we must approach this with due diligence and respect for the knowledge bestowed upon us. We are, after all, guests in this land of wonders."

As Challenger and Summerlee engaged in a deep discussion about the fascinating discoveries in Avalonian manuscripts, Abigail joined them, bringing with her a sense of serene wisdom.

She explained, "Many centuries ago, there existed a civilization on Earth that was far more advanced than anything we've known. Their origins and how they achieved their profound knowledge and technological advancements remain a mystery. The accumulated wisdom of this ancient society is safeguarded here, in Avalon. But in the outside world, their truths have become myths, their incredible constructions misunderstood. Present-day humanity isn't prepared to inherit this vast reservoir of knowledge. Its potential is monumental, but the danger of misuse is just as great."

The two scientists exchanged a glance, a myriad of emotions flashing between them: astonishment, excitement, and responsibility. Their ever-curious minds already racing with questions and hypotheses.

As Challenger and Summerlee navigated their way back towards Avalon's central square, it was already night and they, engrossed in their conversation, almost didn't notice Marguerite walking towards them. The gentle rustle of her dress and her distinct voice cut through their scholarly discussion.

"Professors!" she greeted with a light smile.

Challenger, ever the enthusiastic one, wasted no time. "Ah, Marguerite! Just the person I was hoping to see."

"Why? What is it?" She asked.

"We have come across an extensive collection of ancient texts. They are filled with invaluable information, but many are written in languages that have long been forgotten." Challenger explained. "I was wondering, given your fluency, if you could assist in translating some of them?"

Upon hearing Challenger's request, Marguerite smiled and responded in a light-hearted manner, "Yes, sure, why not? It sounds intriguing enough. But it will have to wait. I'm quite busy at the moment…"

Marguerite's eyes subtly drifted towards the end of the hall where Roxton appeared, wearing a wide grin on his face.

Challenger, catching the glance and understanding the situation, responded with a knowing smile, "Understood. We shall revisit this when time permits."

After the two scientists departed, Marguerite walked towards John, her steps light and a welcoming smile on her face.

Sharing a tender kiss, Marguerite playfully inquired, "My room or yours?"

John looked through the window, taking in the clear night sky adorned with countless stars. "It's such a beautiful and starry night," he responded, his hand caressing her cheek. "How about a walk in the gardens first?"

Marguerite's face lit up at the suggestion, agreeing with a delighted smile. Hand in hand, they made their way through the flourishing gardens of Avalon. They were led to a serene pond, adorned with floating water lilies and surrounded by the soft glow of fireflies. The distant strumming of a harp added a magical melody to the enchanting scene.

Marguerite, looking around in awe, remarked, "This looks too good to be true. Do you think it might be a setup? Like they're creating these romantic scenes on purpose?"

John, sitting on a branch by the pond and pulling Marguerite into his lap, chuckled softly and said, "I don't mind. Even if it is, there's no place I'd rather be, and no one I'd rather be with."

They shared a gentle, lingering kiss and Marguerite, wrapped in the warmth of John's embrace, whispered with a sigh, "Oh, John… I wish we never had to leave this place."

John held her closer, his voice a gentle murmur, "It is magical, indeed. But we will create our own paradise in Avebury together. It will be just as beautiful." he assured, indicating his intentions for a shared future.

Marguerite didn't respond with words; instead, she snuggled closer to John, her eyes following the dance of the fireflies in the night.
