Previously on Canon Distortion
Sora Minakaze was having dinner with Ragna the Bloodedge and The Kakan Taokaka. As he bonded with the two, he learned about Ragna's amnesia and decided to try and assist him in any way he could. And that came much sooner than he expected by helping Ragna The Bloodedge make an escape from the most unlikely of foes, the son of the man he hates the most, Carl Clover. With him and Carl facing off against each other, it's only a matter of making sure he did not die doing so.
And now, the continuation of Canon Distortion
The Novus Orbis Librarium, a group often said for having a very tense relationship between the world's population. Currently they were helping the people around Kagutsuchi's orient town, making sure that everyone was alright and not harmed due to the series of events that had happened to them. Makoto was part of this group, busy directing people away from the scene as Tsubaki approached her.
"Is everything alright Makoto?" Tsubaki questioned as Makoto nodded her head. "Yeah, most people are trying to sneak a peek but other than that, nothing else is happening." Makoto explained as Tsubaki nodded her head. "To think that all of this happened while we are having dinner. Truly that tells me that regardless of how much we try to be prepared, we can still be unprepared." Tsubaki said as Makoto nodded her head at that, mostly as a way to ensure that Tsubaki was not suspicious of her.
"And to think that Ragna the Bloodedge ate in the same restaurant we were at." Makoto added as Tsubaki nodded her head at that. "Yeah everyone's pretty amazed at that. We would have gone after him were it not for those two vigillantees fighting each other." Tsubaki replied as Makoto scratched her head upon hearing that. "Yeah but at the same time we didn't really know. We shouldn't hold that above our heads too much." Makoto said as Tsubaki sighed and nodded upon heairng that.
"I understand that, I am just worried that Noel wouldn't see the same way." Tsubaki said as Makoto simply tilted her head to observe Noel tending to other people at that moment, making sure that the civilians were alright. Makoto simply watched Noel taking care of a couple of children with a smile on her face as Makoto shook her head. "Don't worry about Noellie. She's got things under control." Makoto explained as Tsubaki was surprised to hear that response.
"Noellie's not the same person she was back at the academy. And she's got Hunty with her so she's going to be alright." Makoto continued as Tsubaki smiled upon hearing that. "It's good to hear that you have faith on our friend. I just worry she's in the wrong job at the end of the day." Tsubaki said as Makoto nodded her head upon hearing that. "In that case, why don't you go and make sure she's alright. I will make sure nobody goes through here." Makoto said as Tsubaki smiled upon hearing that, nodding her head and going to Noel.
As Makoto watched Tsubaki approach Noel and Hunter, she could see her friends simply talk among themselves. The smiles on their faces were simply never going to be replaced by her eyes. At the same time, she could picture herself with her friends and Sora being by her side, the days that she spent in the academy were truly memorable to her. She looked down on her own hands and clenched them tightly, feeling the power she now had flowing in her hands and swore to not squander them.
"Sorry guys. Sora needs me." Makoto said as she quietly sneaked out of the area, leaving her friends behind for her own goals. As soon as she felt that she was far enough from everyone, she began to ran towards the direction she saw Sora and Carl were last at. The small amounts of debris and destruction that was scattered around the area serving as a general guiding post for her to follow. She felt her heart race as while she knew Sora was capable of handling himself, she couldn't help but worry still.
She wondered if she should use the communicator to try and contact him at that moment. Would that disrupt his concentration while he is fighting? Would hearing her voice simply cause a momentary distraction that would be fatal? Makoto debated deeply but soon decided that not knowing what is going on was worth the risk. "Sora. Sora are you there?" Makoto questioned, deciding to use her quiet voice hoping that would be enough for Sora's attention.
"A bit of bad timing on your part Makoto but understandable." Sora quickly replied as Makoto was surprised to hear him say that at that moment. "Where are you right now?" Makoto said, questioning him as she resisted the urge to simply scream her lungs out at that moment as much as she wanted to do so. "I don't really know, don't know the town really well enough to tell which district I am in." Sora said as Makoto sighed upon hearing that.
"Just give me a rough landmark you can tell. Something iconic that you can see." Makoto said, hoping that what she said would be enough for Sora to give her proper clues. She could hear grunting and groaning as he was doing all of this while fending off what seemed to be like a very dangerous foe. "All I can see is what looks to be Ikarugan structures everywhere." Sora said as that immediately told Makoto where he was at that moment.
"Stay around that rough area. I will try and make my way towards you now." Makoto said, hanging up at that moment as she knew that Sora understood what his objective was and was going to be fine handling himself. She needed to focus on getting to him and making sure he was not going to be badly hurt in the process. The sooner she can get to him the sooner she can help him against what looked to be a Nox Nyctores as she knew very well.
...Nox Nyctoreses were designed to fight Black Beasts…
Things were rough for Sora. He was struggling to fight against the double team of Carl Clover and the doll that he called Nirvana and it was not just only the sheer fact he was fighting a 2 vs 1 right now. He could easily just use his new powers and overpower the young clover that way but at the same time he believed in not developing a reliance on such power. His time without using his drive had told him how much he depended on his drive subconsciously.
Yet at the same time, it was seem to look like he needed to ditch that mindset quickly before things got worse. The fact that he was facing off against what he suspected to be a nox nyctores told him he needed to take the situation seriously before he got harmed severely. Firing a shot right at Nirvana's arm, the shot was powerful enough to redirect the doll's attack towards his neck to the wall behind him as Carl jumped over his doll's shoulder and with a graceful raising of his purple cape, manifested a giant mechanical spear right at Sora's face.
"Shit." Sora simply said as he turned around, using the Rev Blade on his back to parry the attack as he sheathed the pistol quickly and grabbed the Rev Blade's handle and revved it. Carl could hear the sound of a motor engine activating before a blast of Seithr smacked him in the face through the sheer expulsion of said material. Nirvana was quick to grab Carl and used her body to shield him from further potential harm.
Sora did not hesitate to follow up from his attack from there, slashing with the Rev Blade with enough force to force Nirvana to raise her hand to guard his attack, making her slide across the ground as she held Carl as tightly as she could. When the dust settled, the two of them found themselves standing right in the middle of a ikarugan style bridge as Sora charged towards the two and delivered a head kick towards Nirvana, forcing her to release her grip on Carl as he leapt off his doll's grasp and summoned a giant gear to try and crush Sora.
Sora reflexively looked up and saw the giant gear descending down to crush his head and his mind immediately rushed to come up with a solution. He could just jump out of the way but he knew that would simply be surrendering his time to press the attack so instead of doing that he should instead go on the offense. Raising his stump towards the gear, Sora focused for a bit before making manifest a giant Black Beast head to chomp and destroy the gear, causing Carl's eyes to widen in shock.
Nirvana immediately reacted upon seeing this thing by trembling greatly, quickly charging to tackle Sora to the ground which he was quick to dodge out of the way as she grabbed Carl before his feet could touch the ground. "What… That can't be…" Carl said, his eyes widening in shock as Sora allowed the giant head to slowly form back to his arm as he tensed it to a fist for a bit. "Is that magic? But Nirvana wouldn't have reacted the way she did if it was not…" Carl pondered as Sora felt a ringing sensation strike the back of his head.
He shook his head upon feeling that sensation, unsure what to think about what he had just felt. He knew that it was just a distraction for now and he needed to focus on the fight ahead instead. "….Dangerous….Careful." Sora heard as he looked around for a bit, wondering where he heard that voice. "I know. I am very aware." Carl said as Sora realized who that voice was for. "Tell me… what are you?" Carl questioned.
"Would you believe me if I just said I was a Black Beast?" Sora said as he told the truth, hoping that would be enough only to hear a scoff come out of Carl's voice. "Nonsence, the black beast cannot exist in the world as it is right now. Only it's remnants." Carl said, speaking as if it was common knowledge and to Sora, it's understandable as he simply shrugged upon hearing that. "That doesn't change the fact that Nirvana's cautious about you… and you are dangerous." Carl said as Sora could feel a gaze focus on him at that moment.
"Well that is touching to hear you say that Carl Clover." Sora said, pointing the Rev Blade towards the young boy. "So now that you know how strong I am, will you leave me alone?" Sora questioned, hoping that his display of strength would be enough to dissuade the young boy from further action. "As if that small provocation would be enough to dissuade me. You prevented me from apprehending Ragna The Bloodedge and I need to vent that out." Carl said as Sora saw Carl slowly reach into his pocket.
"And why do you even need Ragna The Bloodedge?" Sora questioned as Carl pulled out a bottle of pills and slowly slipped some of the substance into his mouth. "As if I need to tell you any of that. Now that you have broken the trust we barely had." Carl said as Sora could understand Carl's choice of words. "That's fair. Worth a shot I guess." Sora said as he pointed the Rev Blade towards Carl's direction. "Don't hold any hard feelings for me. I need you out of the picture for a while." Sora said.
As soon as he said that, he immediately fired a few more bullets down the range towards the young puppeteer. Nirvana's claws were able to deflect the shots but that made her vulnerable to Sora creating a Black Beast head to lunge and bite down on her, dragging and separating her away from Carl as Sora got in closer. While Sora could see that Carl Clover was a skilled fighter in his own right despite his age, Carl was still a young boy at the end of the day.
Carl himself understood very well that he did not stand a chance against Sora in a direct fight so he had to play keep away. At this point, he summoned various creations made from clockwork parts and gears to try and give Nirvana time to get back towards him and act as a shield once again. Sora meanwhile understood Carl's intentions and did everything in his power to ensure that Carl's plan would not be as easy to achieve as he had hoped.
Carl tried to summon a gear knight towards Sora, having it gallop towards him as Sora slipped right by it's clumsy charge. Carl then summoned two gigantic gears and had them spin towards him, attempting to crush him between their teeth. "ENHANCED GEAR!" The Rev Blade shouted as soon as Sora revved the handle as without losing momentum, Sora swung the blade towards the gears, slamming his blade as hard as he could towards the two spinning gears and having them crash into each other without reaching him.
However if that was all he did that wouldn't have been enough for Sora to close the gap. Sora instead sent the gears towards a pole and their mass easily smashed through the wooden pole, falling down where Carl stood. Carl had two choices at that moment, either get out of the way and hope Sora did not close in the gap at that moment or use his creations to either destroy or redirect the pole and have Sora get in close in the process.
"Dammit!" Carl swore, feeling a sense of frustration hit him as he summoned a metal spike out of his cape to pierce through the descending pole, splitting the thing in half. As the poles parted, Sora immediately got in close and used the hilt of the Rev Blade to strike Carl at his stomach. Being a small child compared to Sora, Carl felt the full weight of a grown man land on his stomach as the air left his body. Sora delivered a strong enough strike to not send him flying as Carl crumbled to his knees, clutching his stomach in pain.
Sora felt bad for hitting a child but at the same time, Carl did choose to pursue this path. He should at the very least give Carl the respect a vigilantee deserves by not holding back his next strike. But before he could deliver the knock out blow, he immediately sensed a protective aura come his way as he jumped back before a pair of sharp clawed nails swiped at where he stood, the air that it had slashed whoosed violently as Nirvana stared right at him.
"….Don't hurt him…" The voice called as Sora could only all but confirm that the source of the voice had to be coming from the cold machine that was in front of him. Sora couldn't help but feel a chill come down his body upon that realization as the realization that a living being was placed inside this cold metal body. "I am fine Nirvana. I don't need you treating me like a baby." Carl said as Sora realized that Carl himself was able to clearly hear her voice.
'Should I tell him that I can barely understand that Nox Nyctores?' Sora thought, wondering if by saying that it would cause the current fight to stop? Sora then immediately shook his head at that thought as he knew for certain that would raise more questions than build trust. At this point, it really did seem like the only options that were left for him was just to fight and subdue the young Clover before the situation got worse for the both of them.
And the situation was going to get worse as Nirvana charged right for him, her claws sharpening even further to try and skewer his body with many holes. Her attacks as well was even faster now as Sora used the Rev Blade to parry her strikes to the side, understanding that guarding the attack would be foolish but at the same time, if he kept on playing defensive, Carl would simply exploit the gaps caused by his lack of attack and attack him in those gaps.
And that was how the young Clover operated, creating a gear knight to try and stomp on Sora's head when he leapt into the air while Nirvana swept at his feet, trying to sever his legs in half. Sora stabbed the ground and used the Rev Blade to prop himself into the air like how shaolin monks would use their staves to lift themselves up in the air in the chinese kung fu movies that Makoto would make him watch back in the academy, using Nirvana's attack to purposely loosen the Rev Blade's grip on the ground to land on his feet, dodging Carl's attack in the process.
However Sora was not doing all of this just to avoid the dangerous combination attack. Standing in front of the deus ex machina, Sora immediately charged his Black Beast Arm with as much Seithr he could muster towards it as he apologized in his mind for what he was doing next. He then slammed his fist right into the Nox Nyctores's metal abdomen, the impact not hurting him one bit as a Black Beast head emerged and rammed itself right into Nirvana's belly as fast as it could, the impact could be described as being rammed with a truck.
"Nirvana!" Carl yelled out of instinct as Sora immediately tried to bring his blade down the young boy, making sure it was on the blunt side to knock him out as he did not in any way want to kill Carl if he could avoid it. Carl reacted quickly by quick assembling metal gears and pieces to form a metal shield to protect him from the finishing blow as Sora had pointed the exhausts of the Rev Blade right at the face of Carl Clover.
At that moment before Carl could react, Sora revved the Rev Blade right at Carl's face, blasting him with a surge of Seithr that came from the exhausts of the Rev Blade. Carl stumbled back upon contact. Using the gap that caused, Sora attempted to try and slam the back of Carl's head with his blade's handle only to sense danger coming his way as he was forced to place the Rev Blade on his back. The next moment he felt his whole body go flying through the air and slam chest first at the edge of the bridge as his own air was taken out of him.
As soon as he felt the air get taken out of him, Sora immediately turned his head around to face the danger that caused him to stagger like this. As soon as he did so, Sora could see the doll Nirvana charge up right to him and raise it's claw above his head. She slashed right at him, aiming to sever his head from his neck and normally Sora would react to the situation by simply using his drive Balmung to see a possibility and take that instead.
What ended up happening instead was his black arm reacting by automatically raising itself against his will and a giant Black Beast head forming to bite down on Nirvana's claw, stopping her attack dead in it's tracks. Sora then felt his arm peel off his body as he followed the flow and allowed the black arm to remove itself from him as the Black Beast slowly assumed a more humanoid shape, eventually assuming the body of a strong man while it's head was that of a Black Beast.
'The more I think I know my new self the more it seems to want to surprise me huh.' Sora thought as he felt a ringing sensation hit him at that moment, telling him that Makoto was trying to contact him at that moment. Sora wanted to answer that call but was immediately tackled to the ground in surprise. He then felt a tiny body try to get on top of him as he saw Carl stand above him, mounting on top of him as he unveiled a long golden spear that threatened to shoot out and impale Sora's face.
"What the hell are you!" Carl demanded as Sora was strong enough to overpower Carl as he tilted his head, feeling the spear jut out and cut his cheek in the process, spilling black blood all over the spear itself as Nirvana was able to throw the Black Beast double off her and focus it's gaze on Sora. "CARL!" Sora heard as Nirvana immediately closed the gap at that moment and Sora could feel Balmung kick in at that moment to let him see what was going to be Nirvana's next attack.
As Nirvana lunged her sharpened claws at Sora, it was confident that it was going to land a fatal blow. Sora had no time to react, she was quicker than him, her master Carl was behind Sora and already planning to attack Sora at the same time at that moment. For all purposes, Nirvana had Sora pinned and he was surrounded, he was for sure going to fall in the next set of moves. What the Nox Nyctores saw in front of her eyes was simply impossible as Sora stabbed the Rev Blade in front of her, using it to trap her clawed hand, preventing from moving further.
Carl's attack, the hoof of a metal horse emerged out of his cape, threatening to stomp on Sora's head to knock him out. As if it was magic or an unexplainable act of god, Sora blocked the attack using the Rev Blade's flat side. Carl's eyes widened at how fast Sora was able to react and Nirvana if she could physically speak would be shocked by how instant Sora was able to pull the Rev Blade past her claws and right into blocking Carl's attack.
"...'re very dangerous. Who are you…" The voice said as Sora sensed he was able to hear Nirvana even more. The silence that greeted his ears before were more or less gone as his gaze was now focused on Nirvana as he decided to say something at that moment. "Not your enemy." Sora said as Carl did not hear Sora say that but Nirvana was simply shocked by what she had heard. She had immediately halted at that moment, refusing to move as Carl turned to see Nirvana still.
"What's wrong Nirvana? Why have you stopped?" Carl questioned as Nirvana herself focused her gaze upon Sora as Sora stood still, unsure what is going to happen next. "...You can hear me?" Nirvana said, finally becoming clear to Sora at that moment as Sora sensed someone come his way and before he knew it, Makoto had come running towards him. "Sora! Sora are you alright!" Makoto yelled as Sora smiled upon hearing the sound of her voice.
Sora simply was too tired to deal with everything happening around him. The least he could do was just raise his hand up to wave at Makoto's direction, grabbing her attention and letting her know that he was alright. "Oh thank god you're alright Sora… You're not swiss cheese righ…" Before Makoto could finish her sentence, her eyes were immediately drawn towards the person that Sora had been fighting at that moment. "Carl? Carl is that you!?" Makoto questioned loudly as all hostility Carl had was now gone, replaced with confusion.
"M-Makoto sempai!?" Carl questioned as he quickly recomposed himself before realizing there was danger in the area and that the reunion cannot take his attention away. "Stand back Makoto Sempai! That man's a danger to everyone in the world!" Carl warned as Makoto realized that while it was nice to see Carl again, the Black Beast being behind the ground standing around and waiting orders was the biggest clue as to what Carl had seen and she needed to act right away.
"Ahhh." Makoto simply said as Sora looked at Makoto's eyes, his own eyes darting all around the place wondering what they should do or say at that moment. 'What should we do?' Sora mouthed as Makoto herself was unsure how to communicate with him at that moment. The idea of just saying that Sora was someone she knew and explaining that he was on their side would be a good idea since Carl would find it difficult to believe that the NOL would let someone who can make a creature similar to a Black Beast walk around freely without some sort of magical restraint.
"Well you see Carl… It's rather complicated right now but that man you are fighting right now, he's my contact." Makoto said. Sora couldn't believe what he had just heard but decided against arguing against it and instead went along with that explaination. "Yeah… You do remember me saying that I knew Makoto back in the day right? She contacted me about a job and I agreed to it." Sora replied, keeping his answer simple to understand but vague enough that there would be some confusion as to what Sora's job was.
Carl simply looked at Sora and Makoto at that moment with caution in his eyes. Makoto couldn't help but notice the way Carl's eyes constantly looked left and right, trying to make sure that he was not going to get ambushed from behind. His mind was probably thinking several thoughts at that moment from the validity of Sora's words to how Makoto seemed to be speaking the truth. There was also the factor of Nirvana not relaxing from her stance, most likely telling him that she was still feeling uneasy about the current situation.
"Be careful Carl… I don't trust her. I know she's one of your friends but the fact she seems to be covering for him tells me that she's probably working with him in some way." Nirvana spoke as Sora's eyes widened upon hearing that. "We really don't want to fight you and Carl anymore. Please understand." Sora said as at this point as Nirvana simply hesitated to move. Meanwhile Carl was beginning to put together what was actually happening.
"How are you able to understand Nirvana?" Carl questioned as Sora thought about what Carl had questioned as Sora thought about it before taking a deep breath. "Yeah….I am able to hear her." Sora said as he could see the look of conflict that was present on his face at that moment, unsure how to feel about that revelation. "Wait….you can hear her Sora?" Makoto questioned as Sora nodded his head upon hearing that.
"If you can truly hear me right now. Then that means you are a…" Nirvana said as Sora took a deep breath. "It's complicated but just know that I do understand her and that's all you really need to know for the time being." Sora emphasized, cutting Nirvana's sentence there as she understood herself that Sora himself was a complicated situation. "I cannot just dismiss what I just heard. If you can just hear Nirvana like the way you do…"
"It's for the best that you don't really try to question these details. There are just some things not worth knowing and also not worth your time." Sora said, stopping the conversation there as Makoto nodded her head. "I do agree with Sora. There's no point in us continuing this conversation. Yes I know that this is a big deal for you but at the same time, we shouldn't really be discussing important details like this out in the open. After all, you both did cause a lot of a hassle through Orient town." Makoto explained as Sora nodded his head upon hearing that.
"Well it only happened because he stopped me from capturing Ragna The Bloodedge. If your goal is Ragna The Bloodedge why stop me and instead help me?" Carl questioned as Sora knew he had to lie in order to make sure that Carl didn't question him and get into further battle. "Because I was trying to earn his trust. There's information I need from him and if he doesn't trust me, it would make it much more difficult for me to make him talk." Sora explained as Makoto secretly nodded her head in agreement.
"But yeah, Sorry for letting you not get Ragna's bounty. But I needed his trust in order for me to get the information I need from him. Also that's why I am working with Makoto right now. To make sure that I have someone from the NOL to relay my info to." Sora said as Carl looked down on the ground reluctant to take in the information he had been given. "You could have told me all of this and not wasted my time with this fight." Carl said, anger present in his voice at this reveal.
"I'm sorry Carl. I really wanted to but you and your...Doll? Were not giving me that option." Sora explained as Nirvana directed her gaze towards him. "Because you were the one who struck first." Nirvana said to Sora as Makoto simply observed Nirvana simply tense up and focused her gaze towards Sora at that moment. While she did not hear what Nirvana had said the same way Sora would have, she could tell that Nirvana was able to understand what was happening and able to talk to Carl and Sora as a result.
"I think we should step to the side for a bit and discuss things privately Carl. I will also need to get your contact details so that when we do meet Ragna again I promise you that you can have a hand with him." Makoto said, hoping her words will have a way with him. "I don't know Makoto Sempai…" Carl said as Makoto knew she needed to play up to her charms. "Awww come on Carllie. Are you really going to say no to me?" Makoto said, slowly approaching Carl as Sora couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort come from the boy.
"M-Makoto Sempai…. I am not a child any…" before he could continue his protest, Makoto grabbed and shoved him into her boobs, Making Sora pout a bit before he noticed Nirvana slowly approach the Black Beast body double that was just standing around, watching the Nox Nyctores in front of it. "Ahhh… Sorry about that… it's only natural." Sora said as he raised his stump towards the body double. As soon as it saw that action, it simply nodded it's head and returned back to it's original host.
"You...are a Nox Nyctores… or?" Nirvana questioned as Sora scratched his head. "It really just that complicated unfortunately. I am a Nox Nyctores….but it's heart if that makes sense." Sora explained as Nirvana simply tilted it's head, the blank expression on it's face not helping him tell if there was any emotions being conveyed towards him. "You're made from evil….I can sense it from you… yet you confuse me with how...normal you are." Nirvana explained.
"Well...that's a new response. Is that how you see it as a Nox Nyctores?" Sora questioned as he looked back at Nirvana out of instinct, he was used to communicating with a normal human being so the fact that he was being greeted with facial silence from a giant metal doll. "...I do not know honestly." Nirvana simply replied as that was enough to confuse Sora. "You know….that's rather vague for a Nox Nyctores." Sora said.
"That is rich coming from someone who is being similarly vague. I know that you and that Makoto have your own intentions." Nirvana said as that was something that made Sora nod his head. "You know… For a Nox Nyctores, You don't really seem to behave like a normal one… well a normal one from what I have seen so far." Sora explained as this intrigued Nirvana as Sora continued to stare at her blank face for any kind of reaction.
"Well… Like your situation… my own situation is complicated." Nirvana explained as this intrigued Sora. "For the time being, can you call me Ada instead? I feel uncomfortable hearing the name Nirvana…" Nirvana said as this confused Sora. "Wait Nox Nyctores have name preferences? In fact that's even more weird that it's something like Ada." Sora said as he couldn't help but be curious at that statement.
"Well… Yes and No…." Nirvana said as Sora thought about the meaning of that statement as well as the pause she gave before nodding his head. "I can tell it's an uncomfortable topic for you, so I will drop it for now and just agree with your statement." Sora said as Ada nodded her head upon hearing that statement. "In any other case…. Are you going to hurt Carl any further?" Ada questioned as Sora shook his head.
"I don't want to hurt anyone. I only want to make sure that nobody hurts each other trying to get what they want. I wanted to protect Ragna genuinely and it would have been hard to convince Carl otherwise so I decided force was necessary instead." Sora explained, finding it refreshing that he had someone… or something in this case to bounce his own thoughts around. "At least I can tell from the way you described yourself that you are honest about your thoughts. As long as you don't intend to intentionally harm him we won't be enemies." Ada explained as Sora nodded his head.
"Nirvana! Let's go." Carl called as both Sora and Nirvana nodded their heads towards each other. "Then I wish you luck protecting your little master." Sora said, raising his hand to shake the hand of the Nox Nyctores. Ada simply looked at him before leaving him hanging, simply approaching Carl once again as Carl walked up to Sora and shook his hand instead. "The next time we meet, you better have some good information about Ragna the Bloodedge for me." Carl warned, his eyes glaring right at Sora's soul as Sora nodded his head.
With that small threat given, Carl finally left Sora alone, leaving with his sister as Sora scratched his head a little bit before making a small sigh. "Thanks for bailing me out of that situation Makoto. I didn't know what would happen if things got worse." Sora said as Makoto smiled and took his hand as they both looked out at the scenery in front of them. "Oh don't worry about that. I knew you could hang in there. I am just glad I got here before you were forced to do something bad to Carl." Makoto explained as Sora nodded his head there.
"Yeah… I am just glad that things didn't get that bad." Sora said as Makoto smiled and kissed the forehead of Sora at that moment. "So tell me real quick, what was going through the mind of that Nox Nyctores? What was the personality of that Nox Nyctores compared to Draco?" Makoto questioned as Sora scratched his head at that. "Well… nothing really different really. It's just like talking to Draco. Though Nirvana did ask to be called Ada instead of Nirvana."
"Ada huh…" Makoto wondered as Sora couldn't help but become curious upon hearing that. "What's wrong Makoto? You seem to be thinking about something when I mentioned that name?" Sora questioned as Makoto scratched the back of her head. "Well you see… Carl has a sister named Ada Clover. The fact that Nirvana called herself Ada is a bit weird to me." Makoto said as Sora couldn't help but pause and think when he heard that fact.
'Ada… Ada Clover… Could it be?' That was the train of thought that Sora had at that moment but didn't want to try and think harder as thinking any further would most definitely bring up bad thoughts and those thoughts should not be thought of in the first place. "Regardless of that, what's going on with the others? Did I cause you a lot of trouble?" Sora questioned as Makoto shook her head upon hearing that.
"Don't worry about Orient Town, you managed to minimize the amount of damage the town suffered. We should be alright to do whatever we want for the time being." Makoto explained as Sora nodded his head upon hearing that, smiling a little. "So… Shall we begin trying to find a place to stay for the night? It's getting rather late around here and not getting rest would be bad." Makoto said as Sora still had time to think about the current situation despite thinking about Ada.
"No… I think we should head towards the Cauldron right now." Sora said as Makoto was surprised to hear Sora say his words. "And why do you think we should head there right now? Don't we have time right now?" Makoto questioned as Sora scratched the back of his head upon hearing that statement. "I don't know why….I just feel that we shouldn't waste time while we still have it. As much as it would suck to not have rest, we need to head to the cauldron right now." Sora explained as Makoto nodded her head upon hearing that.
"By your track record, you are most likely right." Makoto said as she took Sora and sat him down on a bench. "But before we go anywhere, you are getting a quick rest. I need to make sure you're not too badly hurt and you must be exhausted after fighting a Nox Nyctores like Nirvana." Makoto said as Sora wanted to argue but realized why Makoto was doing what she was in the first place as he sighed and nodded his head, making Makoto smile upon hearing his agreement.
She knew that he knew that they should be trying to get to Kagutsuchi's cauldron as soon as possible but at the same time doing so after he had just had a massive fight that took him from one district to another would probably exhaust him unintentionally. Makoto just wanted Sora to be at his strongest for their challenges ahead. Sora meanwhile understood Makoto's intentions and simply was happy to have someone who is able to slow him down where needed and have him take things easy if they are needed.
...As Sora knew that if things were already getting as crazy as they were currently… He would need more strength for the challenges ahead…
GREETINGS LOST SHEEP OF FANFICTION!? HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING ON THIS FINE DAY!? I HOPE IT'S GOOD REGARDLESS OF WHAT KIND OF DAY YOU ALL HAD! I myself have had a good day and I have been enjoying my time playing good old Payday 3. I know I know, I heard, The servers are down but at the same time the game's solid. It's lacking weapons and heists but the fact that it's already very good at base launch is more than what can be asked for other games. Always online sucks but hey, they will do something about that eventually if people complain enough so I am just going to enjoy the game as it is.
SO WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT!? WHAT IS NEXT FOR OUR HEROES!? WILL THEY BE ABLE TO SURVIVE THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS THAT ARE LAID IN FRONT OF THEM!?
