The final few days leading up to him going to Hogwarts had been good for Harry. He had spent his time out in the garden reading his school books and a few other books he picked up at Flourish and Blotts while Hedwig flew around his head.

Harry had finally started to come to terms with Shisuis's death, it had affected him horribly but he was finally starting his path to healing, he was nowhere near healing fully. No Harry doubted if he could ever heal completely but he could see the slight progress in his process of healing. He no longer cried when he thought of Shisui. Harry wouldn't ever cry not even when the Potters had forgotten all about him but Shisui's death had made him break down many times over the past month. Harry didn't care though he didn't care how it made him look he didn't care where he was or what he was doing, whenever he thought of Shisui it used to make him cry

So here he was, lying in his bed staring up at the ceiling, the night before he got the train to Hogwarts. Harry reflected on the past 3 years he had spent with Shisui with a small smile on his face.

Harry also thought of what the future held for him. He knew these 7 years at Hogwarts would change him for life, he just hoped that they changed him for the better. He thought about his soon-to-be classmates. He couldn't name any of them except that Hayley girl and Adrian Potter.

He recoiled at the thought of the Potters. He didn't hate them, no not at all but could he ever forgive them? No probably not. By what he had seen of Adrian he didn't think they had changed at all but that could just be Adrian being big-headed.

Oh well, he would deal with that when he came to it, for now, he wanted to get to sleep as fast as possible to make tomorrow come faster.

—————————————————————————

Harry awoke with a smile etched upon his face as he realised what today was. It was September 1st!

He's going to Hogwarts! Finally!

Harry jumped out of his bed as fast as he could as he raced to the bathroom to get ready for the day ahead of him. He didn't care about anything. Nothing could wipe the smile off his face at the moment

It took Harry no longer than 15 minutes to be changed and ready to leave. He gathered his bags and walked through the floo. He was going to have to floo to a nearby magical pub and then walk into Kings Cross

Harry came out of the floo with a stumble, he still wasn't all too good at using wizarding travelling methods as he hadn't really left the house with Shisui.

Quickly picking himself up as he gained his bearings, he noticed he was in a dark dingy bar. To put it simply it stunk and it was the type of bar that most people wouldn't be caught dead in.

He looked about in disgust at all the drunk people in the bar. It was 10 in the morning and they were already drunk to the point of passing out.

Was the wizarding world full of alcoholics Harry had to ask himself as so far his experiences in it pointed towards that.

"3 knuts please" came a voice behind him

"Sorry?" Harry spoke confused, as he spun on the spot to look at a man. He was about 5'11 in height, balding and round. Very round.

"3 Knuts to use the floo" The man shot him a greedy smile flashing his gapped teeth towards him as his breath hit Harry. It might've been the worst-smelling thing Harry had ever encountered. It smelt like something had died in his mouth. Worst of all, with every word he spoke it came wafting towards Harry in waves smacking upon his face and brutally attacking his poor sense of smell.

Harry wanting to get out of there as fast as possible quickly fished out 3 knuts. He stuck the three bronze pieces inside the man's dirty hand before quickly evacuating the dingy pub and walking out into the street.

Having never been to Kings Cross before he got lost. Multiple times, he was glad he came 3 hours early as it took him 1 and a half to find the station.

Harry couldn't believe how full Kings Cross was. It was only 9:30 and yet it was bustling with people, all living completely different lives. All going completely different places.

As Harry walked down to platform nine he looked around for anyone he might recognise or just anyone going to Hogwarts.

Arriving at platform nine, he stood there curiously not understanding where to go.

"You have got to run through the wall," someone said as if it were obvious

"Wha-" Harry couldn't be more confused if he tried

"You have to run through that wall in between the signs 9 and 10!"

Harry spun around to see a girl with bright blonde hair that just went past her shoulders with bright ocean-blue eyes. By the way, she held herself and the quality of the clothes she wore, Harry could tell she was a pure-blood of sort

"Wouldn't that make it 9 and 1/2?" Harry asked cheekily

"Stop being an idiot and go into the wall," the girl said blandly

"You go first." No way was he running into a wall that some girl had just told him was a magical portal of some sort

"Fine" the girl gritted out as she sped up her walk into a light jog, Harry prepared to start cackling at her when she ran smack-face into a brick wall, he soon stopped however when he saw her disappear into the wall

"What the fuck!" Harry asked to no one particular

Harry took a deep breath as he prepared to run into the wall. He let his breath go as he slowly sped up getting faster and faster, squeezing his eyes shut he was preparing for contact with the wall... but it never came

Harry stood there admiring the red train and also processing the fact he had just run through a wall and nothing happened. In fact the only contact he felt the whole time was when someone crashed into the back of him

"OMPH"

Harry had been hit into the back by a trolley causing his knees to buckle. He spun around to see who had just smacked into the back of him. It was her again. Hayley Nolton.

"What the fuck Nolton, are you trying to kill me!"

Harry snapped at her

"It's your fault why are you just standing there!" she shouted, picking herself up off the ground. Her light brown hair was all over the place after crashing into him

"I'm sorry! I wasn't expecting to get hit in the back of the knees by someone who couldn't wait their turn!" Harry said sarcastically

"Shut up" She grumbled out walking away from him

It took Harry a minute to realise the fact he had lost that blonde girl. 'Oh well.' he thought to himself as he went to board the Hogwarts Express

As he approached the Hogwarts Express he bumped into two redheaded boys. Considering the fact they were identical Harry assumed they were twins. Probably Weasleys if their clothes and hair gave anything away. Not that Harry cared about family status and all the nonsense

"Oop you alright there little firstie!" one spoke merrily as the other nodded along to him

"You see I'm Fred and this is my brother George" the other one, now called Fred spoke

"I thought I was Fred and you were George today?" George spoke quizzing his brother

"Yeah I am George today but for introduction's sake we have to go by our real names, you know Mom always told us that" Fred replied grumpily

"But when have we ever listened to what mom said?" George asked confused

"Good point dear brother!" Fred said now a lot happier for some reason "Anyway ickle firstie we are Fred and George Weasley, Hogwarts resident pranksters!"

"The best to ever do it!" George cut in

"Cept for the mauraders of course!" They spoke in unison

"Well nice to meet both of you, I'm Harry" Harry responded with a smile on his face, he liked these two already

"Well then Harry good luck at Hogwarts and I hope we can play a few pranks together!" Fred said as they both walked off leaving Harry to go find a compartment

Harry soon found a compartment not too long after meeting Fred and George. Entering the compartment he quickly put his trunk in the overhead storage he settled down into the seat. He stifled a yawn as he noticed just how tired he actually was. Harry quickly decided to try and get some sleep before the train set off on its journey.—————————————————————————

Harry's eyes opened to a knock on the compartment door. It was the blond from earlier. Signalling them in he dug about his trunk to get a book out

"Hello," The blonde girl from earlier said

"Hi," her friend said

"Hey, thanks for the help earlier by the way," Harry said towards the silver-blonde girl

"No problem, I'm Daphne Greengrass by the way," She says with a slight smile

"Im Tracey Davis" The other girl says with a full-blown grin

"I'm Harry, nice to meet the both of you" Harry said with a bright smile at the thought of making friends

"No last name?" Daphne asked while arching an eyebrow

"Ah dear Daphne, my last name would cause too much attention

"Whatever you say" Daphne rolled her eyes

"Anyone wanna play exploding snap?" Tracey asked trying to get rid of the tension

"I don't know how to play" Harry admitted sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, causing his unruly black hair to stick up

"I'll teach you" Tracy beamed

Harry spent the next two hours playing Exploding Snap with the two girls, he wasn't very good as both of them had taken multiple galleons off him when they had started placing bets

It was a very fun two hours in Harry's opinion and he hoped he had made some friends. He had never had many growing up of course most if not all visiting to see Adrian. Adrian only had one that he consistently hung about with and that was Ron Weasley. He was too jealous for Harry's liking, also talking about how he wished he was the boy who lived. He didn't think about what actually happened for Adrian to become the boy who lived. Voldemort nearly killed the whole family yet people wished to be like him

Speaking of the devil Adrian Potter and Ron Weasley barged into the compartment

"Mhm what have we got here, a couple of snakes and someone who doesn't know who's stronger than them" Adrian spat with distaste. He quite literally spat, spit came flying out of his mouth with each word.

"The boy who lived and his little pet, what a surprise" Daphne drawled with disgust while trying to dodge the spit pellets that were shooting from Adrian's mouth

"Shut up!" Weasley shouted his cheeks going as red as his hair as he began shaking

"Say Potter, does Weasley follow you when you go to the toilet?" Tracey asked innocently while Weasley somehow turned even more red

"Is Weasley trying to turn into a tomato?" Harry faux whispered to Daphne and Tracey. Wesley got even redder, by now he was far too red than any human should ever be

Weasley pulled his wand out from his shabby robes and pointed it at Harry, who stared him down calmly

"Come on Ron let's get out of here" Adrian looked down at Harry disgustedly as he and Ron walked out of the compartment

"Prats" Harry muttered under his breath just loud enough for Daphne and Tracey to hear. Who both let out a small giggle as they all went back to playing Exploding snap

It wasn't much longer until they were disturbed again, this time by two girls. Hayley Nolton and a girl with big brown bushy hair and teeth that protruded her lips.

"Have you seen a toad, a boy named Neville has lost one?" the unknown girl asked as she walked in without knocking and sat down. Harry was beginning to sense a theme here, no one ever bothered knocking in the wizarding world

"Nope no toad here, at least I don't think so" Harry replied not bothering to look up from his book

"Whats that supposed to mean?" Hayley asked with venom which was unneeded in Harry's opinion

"What do you think it means," Harry rolled his eyes as he carried on reading "I haven't seen a toad but there might be one in here"

"You're really unhelpful," the bushy-haired girl said in a matter-of-fact voice

"You know it's rude to barge in a compartment without knocking and then proceed to sit down and insult people" Harry shot back peeved at the girl's rudeness

Hermione bristled out of anger as she got up and left, leaving Hayley by herself

"You are horrible, she's just nervous and you are insulting her!" Hayley spat towards Harry

"It's not my fault she barged into the compartment without knocking!" Harry defended himself while throwing his hands into the air

Daphne and Tracey sat there watching the argument with a slight smirk on their faces and a quizzical eyebrow raise.

"Well, you better apologise to her!" Hayley argued, her voice getting louder and louder with each word. Her dark brown eyes got angrier and angrier with each word.

"I am not apologising to her, I did nothing wrong!"

"URGH Your so infuriating!" Hayley shouted as she slammed the compartment door shut so hard it caused the glass to shake

Harry, Daphne and Tracey all carried on with exploding snap and reading. They were undisturbed other than a kid with platinum-blonde hair being a ponce but they soon got rid of him

It was soon after the train began to pull to a halt. Harry quickly left the compartment while the girls got their robes on as he went to get changed as well.

The first years were led into boats by a huge man with a long unkept beard which went down to his belly called Hagrid. If Harry had to guess he would say that he was a half-giant. He didn't even want to begin to think how someone could be half a giant knowing that it would entail a giant and a human having fun. Harry grimaced at that thought as he loaded into a boat with Daphne Tracey and a boy who was called Blaise.

The boat journey didn't take long as they veered around the corner to get their first glimpse at Hogwarts. It was beautiful in Harry's opinion

The boat trip didn't last much longer as they journeyed up what felt like a mountain to get from the boat house to the entrance to the great hall

Arriving at the entrance they saw a woman who looked about 80 in age with grey hair up in a bun underneath her hat. She gave a thin-lipped smile as she welcomed the students to Hogwarts. Soon they were ushered into the great hall which consisted of four tables with students on every one brandishing a colour representative to their houses.

Then the sorting ceremony began. Harry in truth didn't pay much attention instead opting to look at the enchanted ceiling which reflected the sky outside.

He did take note of some names though. Tracey was up first out of the people he knew and she went to Slytherin after about 30 seconds on the stall. Then it was that bushy-haired girl from earlier who went to Gryffindor. Daphne joined Tracey in Slytherin. Up next was Hayley who joined her bushy-haired friend in Gryffindor. Harry was getting more and more nervous as his name got closer and closer

"Adrian Potter!"

"It's the boy who lived"

"How did he defeat Voldemort"

"He's going to Gryffindor"

"Did he really fight a dragon when he was 5?"

That last murmur made Harry snort out of disbelief, people really believed anything huh

Adrian swaggered up to the stool as he revelled in the attention he was getting

He sat down on the stool and instantly seemed to start arguing with the hat about where to go. After 5 minutes the hat gave a disappointed sigh as he half-heartily shouted Gryffindor

"Harry Potter!" the old woman shouted out with a hint of confusion in her voice. As the hall erupted into murmurs

"Did she say Potter?"

"There's another one?"

"I've never heard of him"

"He's pretty cute"

Harry rolled his eyes at the last one, it came from the same girl who thought Adrian had fought a dragon

Looking at the staff table Harry saw Dumbledore looking at him fondly as he gave Harry a bright smile. Harry returned the smile as best as he could, while the knot in his stomach was tightening. He was nervous, something about one moment defining the next 7 years didn't sit right with him at all.

He looked among the student body at the faces he knew. Daphne and Tracey looked shocked, to say the least, realising they had spent 8 hours in a compartment with the unknown brother of the boy who lived.

Hayley was just as equally shocked as Daphne and Tracey now realising why he had never told her his last name. However, looking upon him now Hayley realised something she hadn't the other three times she had met him. He looked really familiar, she didn't know how but it felt like she had seen him before meeting him in Diagon Alley.

The bushy-haired girl looked like someone had killed her pet as she realised the books she had read about the boy who lived had been wrong as they never mentioned anything about Adrian having a brother. No, the books couldn't be wrong, he was impersonating Adrian's brother who didn't exist

Adrian was fuming that someone had taken the spotlight away from him as he shook with anger. Meanwhile, his pet looked angry at him for just upsetting Adrian.

Fred and George looked at him as if he had played a great prank by making people believe he didn't exist. It would be a pretty good prank if he was honest

Harry soon reached the front of the hall and sat on the stall while he slid the hat onto his head. He nearly jumped when he heard a voice in the back of his head.

'Hello, Mr Potter, do not panic I am the sorting hat. I'm going to look at your values and personality traits and sort you accordingly. Hmm this is tough you would do well in most houses' the hat spoke into his head

'Most?' Harry asked wondering which one was out of the ruling already

'Yes you do not have any to be loyal to yet, so, therefore, Hufflepuff is out of the question, you are smart but do not have as much of a thirst for knowledge as most Ravenclaws'

'So Gryffindor or Slytherin?' Harry asked even though he already knew the answer

'Yes, Mr Potter do you have a preference?'

'Put me where I'll do best.' Harry said in pure confidence

'Very well better be…' "Slytherin!!" The hat bellowed out causing the hall to look shocked as the Slytherin table began clapping politely, still shocked at the revelation that Adrian had a brother.

Harry plopped down between Daphne and Tracey as they both just looked at him slack-jawed.

"So that's why you never told us your last name" Daphne worked out as Tracey was still recovering

"Yup pretty much" Harry said nonchalantly while watching as Ron Weasley was sent to Gryffindor. He had to go where Adrian did of course

"I guess you weren't lying about your last name creating too much attention" Tracey said finally coming out of her shock

"How come we have never heard of you?" Daphne quizzed still coming to terms with everything

"I'll answer any questions tomorrow but right now I wanna eat and sleep" Harry was tired and didn't want to have to answer questions tonight

Dinner whizzed by for Harry with his main thought being about going to bed. After the prefect had led them back to the common room. They went over the Slytherin rules with their head of house Professor Snape. Harry got the feeling Snape didn't like him but he didn't care right now. He wanted to sleep

Finding out he had his own room was a relief. He didn't want to spend time listening to people snore.

He found his room and didn't bother unpacking or anything. He just went and collapsed on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.
