It was one of the three free days for the contestants of Total Drama Island. Everyone was either hanging out with their friends, or off doing their own thing. For two girls, Courtney and Bridgette, they decided to spend some time on the part of the island that can distinctly resemble a beach.

Bridgette sighed relaxed. "I love relaxing on the sand. It always seems to take the stress away."

"I admit, it is very relaxing." Courtney said. "I'm usually so busy that I hardly have time to just, chill."

"Chill? I didn't know that was in your vocabulary." Bridgette teased.

"Well, I guess I picked it up from Duncan." Courtney told her.

"You and Duncan seem very coozy with each other. Are you two a thing?" Bridgette asked.

"Honestly, I'm not to sure." Courtney admitted looking down. "He'd constantly flirt with me, but I'm not sure if it's genuine, or to just get on my nerves. He seems to enjoy doing that."

"He does like to mess with people, but honestly, I think he likes you. Geoff has told me that je once woke up to Duncan talking about you in his sleep."

"Really?"

"Yeah. So maybe he really does like you. You should talk to him."

Courtney thought about it. "Maybe, but I'm still sure if I even like him back."

"Really? Is it because he's weird looking?" Bridgette tested.

"He's not weird looking! He's totally hot." Courtney immediately said.

"So it's because he's boring." Bridgette continued.

"Duncan is not boring!" Courtney defended again." He's funny, interesting, cute little legs, awesome carving skills, and I know I complained about his mohawk before, but now I find it incredibly hot. When I ruffle it, it's like petting a tough yet gentle bulldog." Courtney ranted while blushing, only now noticing Bridgette trying to hold in her laughter. It was at that moment she realized.

She liked him.

Inside of the Bass Boys cabin, music was heard. Duncan, DJ, and Geoff had invited Owen and Trent to hang out with them. Harold would have joined too, but he didn't wanna risk getting pranked. The five boys were partying to the music and sipping soda.

"This party is awesome man!" Owen said munching on a bag of chips.

"You've said it dude!" Geoff said. "This party won't stop until the cops come knocking!" As Geoff said that, there was a knock on the cabin door. DJ turned off the music while Geoff and Duncan panicked.

"Gah! It's 12! I can't go back to juvie yet!" Duncan said.

"Quick! Everyone hide!" Geoff shouted as he and Duncan dove under the beds. Trent went to open the door, revealing to be Courtney.

"Hey Courtney, what's up?" Trent asked.

"Hi Trent. Is Duncan here?" She asked.

"Hold on." Trent told her before going to the bed Duncan and Geoff were hiding under. "Yo Duncan, it's for you."

"They'll never get me alive!" Duncan's voice was heard.

"I got this guys." Owen said before bending down near the bed and letting out a nasty fart. In the blink of an eye, Duncan and Geoff flew from under the bed and out of the cabin gasping for air. Trent and DJ quickly followed, not wanting to be near Owen's fumes.

"He's all yours Courtney." Owen told the girl, who just watched everything unfold with an unreasonable look.

"Uhh... thanks." She said before walking over to Duncan, who was leaning on Geoff gasping for clean air. "Hey Duncan."

Duncan finally noticed Courtney.

"Oh, uhh..." He quickly pushed Geoff out of the way and put back on his cocky expression. "Hey Princess, what can I do for you?"

"Can we talk privately for a minute?" She asked.

"Sure, lead the way." He started following Courtney. He looked back to see the boys giving him thumbs up, including Geoff who was still on the ground after being pushed.

Duncan and Courtney walked into the forest were they can be alone.

Courtney finally turned around to face Duncan. "So Duncan." She started.

"Yeah?"

"I wanted to ask, what exactly are we?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you're always flirting with me. And I just don't know if that's because of genuine interest, or you just like messing with me. I just want clear answers." She told him.

Duncan smirked. "Are you asking if we're together?"

Courtney's face turned red. "What? No!" She denied.

Duncan's smirk never left his smug little face. "You dig me."

"N-no I don't! Or at least, I don't think I do."

"Then why are you asking what we are?"

"Like I said, I just want clear answers!"

"Well, if you don't know what we are and I say we're a thing, would that be a good enough answer for you?" Duncan asked.

"What?! You can't just go around saying that without my own consent!" Courtney yelled at him.

"Okay, are we a thing?"

Courtney froze. "I... I don't know." She admitted.

Duncan looked at her and then got an idea. He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her towards him.

"Duncan? What are you do- hmph!" Her question was answered when Duncan pressed his lips onto hers. Her first instinct was to pull away, but that thought slowly melted away as she started to kiss back. This kiss, it felt nice. Like all her problems in the world were melted away by this single kiss. The two pulled away from sir, looking into each other's eyes.

"So, do you know now Princess?" Duncan asked.

Courtney smiled. "Yes. We're definitely a thing now." She happily responded.

Duncan smiled. Not a smug smirk, a genuine smile. "Glad we're finally on the same page Princess."

Not much of a one shot but I made this for a challenge in a discord TD season I'm in and thought about posting it here.
