We know continue with the rest of their stay at Loch Loud, meeting some folks and also dealing with whatever the heck this town has issues with, which are somewhat easy to manage, and a plot which will soon be underway. Chapter 369: Louds and Lewis', in Loch Loud...
(Loud Castle, Loch Loud Scotland.)
Lincoln is in the bedroom, which once belonged to the Duke. He then gets out of bed, and then he heads to the balcony and sees how peaceful and serene everything is. He takes in the fresh air, and he can hear some stuff going down as usual at the village of Loch Loud.
'This is still so unreal. The Loud last name, is of royalty, and I was a former Loud. But I don't think a royalty is my thing. I already live in Royal Woods... Wow, I think Luan should use that joke.'
Then the bathroom opens, and he sees his big sister, Luna and she is dressed for the day. "Good Morning, little brother. You're up, and I allowed ya to sleep for a while." She goes over, and then she hugs her brother, and he hugs her back.
Then the door opens, and they see it is their mother, Michelle Lewis. "Good Morning you two. Breakfast is going to be ready soon, so best get to it. Also, we got a big day ahead of us."
(Later.)
Lincoln is now all dressed, and he leaves the bedroom and so does his big sister, Luna. They do encounter, the Castle Keeper, Morag and she doesn't look pleased from cleaning the messes left by some of the Louds.
Lincoln and Luna go over, and Lincoln speaks. "Sorry about this, Morag. This is the usual work from some of the loud sisters, at least the older ones don't do much messes."
Morag sighs. "Yes, I am aware. Especially from that sports loving one, and the other one who is making jokes. I got pied in the face." This surprises Lincoln and Luna.
Luna sighs. "Yeah, that'll do it. Hey, at least she's given up on being a psycho pranking monster. Otherwise, you wouldn't survive. Also, we didn't make a mess, the bed is all made and everything in that room hasn't been bothered."
Lincoln and Luna then head off downstairs, leaving Morag relieved to know. 'At least those two are decent, and aren't messy.' She then sees the portrait of Old Aggie. 'Oh dear Old Aggie, if only those wretched louds from before were like those former louds, but now the rest of the louds are here and... Wait, what did she mean by Psycho Pranking Monster?'
Lincoln and Luna then head off to enjoy breakfast, but then they are met by the local groundskeeper of the place, Angus. "Good Morning to you two lads. You're morning doing alright?"
Lincoln nods. "Yeah, nothing else special. We're about to go and enjoy breakfast."
Angus nods. "Of course, after all it is the most important meal of the day. Also, I hope you lot are ready for a day to spend at the village." He then walks off to continue his work, both Lincoln and Luna don't know what to even think of that and just go to enjoy their breakfast, and see how the others are doing, especially since last night with the ghostly encounter.
(Later, again.)
We now see Lincoln, Michelle and Luna, headed for the village with Angus. The others have left for the village earlier, but some remain behind at the castle to enjoy themselves.
Michelle then speaks. "Alright, let's go and see what the heck is wrong with that town, and other stuff that could use some improvement."
Luna speaks as well. "Honestly, I don't even know why some of them aren't even fixing those issues themselves. I mean, some of those problems don't even sound so serious."
Lincoln sighs. "Well, we might as well see what is happening. I mean, I know for sure this is going to be one heck of a challenge."
Angus chuckles. "Oh come now. I know that you can make this work out, lad. Let's go and help the town, and everyone else." Lincoln, Luna and Michelle have this odd and mixed feeling about doing this.
(Helping Loch Loud montage.)
They round up all the sheep, and Michelle helps repair the fence and they ensure they don't escape, and they even see the sheepdog who seems kinda lazy. This didn't seem quite right.
They managed to help them repair the bridge, and using some of the rocks which were found in the stream, and they belonged to the bridge too.
Next, they help with fixing the bell, and they even notice some small damages to the tower of the bell, and they can see that it needs some refurbishing.
They sort out the signs, and make sure that there won't be any more confusing things or crashes, they had to use a map to figure out which sign goes where, and some of these signs don't belong here.
They help restore the damaged Gazebo, and move some of the fallen trees away from the stream and help the water flow, and even help some ducks cross the road.
They help with some of the chimneys that need cleaning, and instructing the people of their house construction issues, and also Lisa is there for that one since she wants to know who is responsible for the construction of these terribly designed homes.
They head to the docks and help with some damages to the place, ships and even to some local fishermen who need some help in the best spots for fishing.
They even stop the dispute between Fish and Chips, but thankfully Lynnard helps with that one.
(End of the montage.)
After two hours of helping around the town. Lincoln, Luna and Michelle are now at the nearby fountain, and are exhausted from all of this hard work. "That was a nightmare and hard to do" replied Luna.
Lincoln sighs. "No kidding, I mean that was so much hard work. I don't know why the people don't do this themselves."
Michelle is also confused. "Something doesn't feel right and I think..." They then see the villagers show up, and all of them are chanting.
"Duke Lincoln! Duke Lincoln! Duke Lincoln! Duke Lincoln! Duke Lincoln! Duke Lincoln!"
This surprises them, and this made Lincoln pinch the bridge of his nose. "For the love of... Okay, here we go." he climbs the statue of the former Duke, and then he yells. "I AM NOT GOING TO BE THE DUKE!" Everyone remains silent, and are shocked by his words.
But then someone speaks. "But, you helped fix out village. That makes you literally duke material."
"You even look like the Duke, sorta."
Angus then intervenes. "Lad, please listen. Our town of Loch Loud, we need a Duke. We haven't had one in years, and you have proven yourself to be true Duke Material in the eyes of the good folks of this town. You'd be a perfect Duke."
But then he sees Luna crosses her arms, and she points to Michelle, and they see Michelle is not looking pleased. There is fire in her eyes, and her teeth are gritting. This scares Angus, and he realizes that he is in big trouble, and he tries to find some excuse...
But Lincoln intervenes. "Everyone, I don't wanna be the Duke. I don't even think I even should be one, since I love the life I have back in Royal Woods, Michigan. I have a family whom I truly love, a girlfriend, friends and my school of course, and though I am not related to the louds, I still see them as my sisters."
This warms the hearts of Luan, Lisa, and Lynn Jr. Rita and Lynnard also listen to this and they are happy to hear this coming from Lincoln, and accept his words.
"I am not going to throw all of that away or even trade it for the world. I am not going to be the Duke, nor do I even want one. The only reason why I was helping with the issues in this village, is because it needed some serious help, and take note, my sister and mother helped me as well. I deny the offer."
Angus is shocked to hear this. "Wait, lad. Don't do this, perhaps we can sort something..."
But then Michelle speaks. "Kids, we're going back to that castle, now. Let's go, before the dimwittedness of this town affects us too." Lincoln and Luna nod, and they leave the village, and so do the Louds.
Lisa then speaks. "Also, FYI: How dense are all of you to not even know how to fix a fence?" She then takes her leave, and hearing her words make the villagers feel like idiots, and that she is right.
Angus then sees everyone looking disappointed, and then he tries to reassure things. "Nobody worry, I will figure something out. This will be sorted, and we will have our duke. I know it." they all don't feel so sure, and they go back to what they were doing.
Three girls notice this and are confused, they don't seem to mind what happens, but they do question whatever the heck just went down and they head off to do their own thing.
But nobody notices, Morag heard everything and she is not pleased by the outcome. 'Angus, you pathetic stupid idiot! What is wrong with him?!' but then she calms down. 'The presence of these louds are going to keep him motivated to get that boy to become Duke. Perhaps, if I remove the louds and have the Lewis' sent back home, then everything will go back to as I deem it fit! Back to the way things were meant to be, for me!'
(Back at Loud Castle.)
Meanwhile, Lucy is in the bedroom with the ghostly ancestor of the Louds, Lucille and she tells her everything. "So, you weren't exiled and just driven away by the dragon for some reason?"
Lucille nods. "Aye lass. We have never ever seen the dragon act like that towards us, she's usually friendly and not dangerous unless the village was under threat from someone hostile. That day, my dear brother had to surrender the crown, and we all left Loch Loud."
Lucy thinks about this, and then something comes to her thoughts. "Then, it seems like it was on purpose. Sounds like someone from Loch Loud, didn't want the Louds to even come back, someone who wants them gone for good."
Lucille thinks about this as well. "Sounds a little bit into the obvious, despite being a theory to comprehend, but the on purpose part... There is a way to control the guardian dragon. The Duke's Scepter is the only one that could, but the Duke's Scepter was under the care of Old Aggie, and we might not even know where she hid it, and the only living relative she has left now is..."
"Morag" replied Lucy with a cold tone. "Something doesn't seem right, and I have been suspecting her ever since we got here." Just then, they hear some voices in the hallway, and they overhear that it is in fact, Morag.
Morag sneaks into this secret hallway, and so they both follow her, and thankfully Lucy and Lucille are both silent when on the move. They continue to follow Morag, and then they see her with a Book. "Blessed the great vast lands of Loud that be the book from Old Aggie" whispered Lucille.
They see the artifact that has been removed from the book and Lucy whispers. "And that must be the Duke's Scepter." They then listen into what Morag says.
"Don't you worry Ol' Aggie I will finish what you couldn't have been able to do long ago. I will be rid of the louds, and then have my peace and quiet forever! Those wretched fools in the village mean nothing to me, and are mere peasants with pea brains. I will become the Duchess of this land, and have those louds buried six feet under!"
But then she stops and realizes. "Hmmm, then again Lincoln and Luna, they aren't louds and Lewis'. Meh, I'll send them back home and just get rid of those louds. Those two and their mother are decent, and alright with me. Why couldn't the louds long ago be more like them?!" She then goes through the book on what she has to do.
This surprises Lucy and Lucille and they sneak away, to inform the others. But to Lucille, she feels that the Loud Royal Family has been betrayed, and she feels that their exile must be avenged.
A/N: Seriously though, enough is enough. Can't they take a hint? If they want a Duke, then they will need to just vote at least, and next chapter... The plot is discovered and the truth will be known. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter everyone.
