25. Write someone's reactions (whether eyewitness or hearsay, at any point in time) to The Horse and His Boy when they found out Shasta was Corin.
"Ho, neighbour Stag!"
"Beautiful morning."
"I was just enjoying a bit of clover."
"And I the grass. Freshly grown, very nice."
…
"Remember the army coming through last week?"
"Hmmm?"
"King Edmund, Queen Lucy, and the rest, coming through with their horses and armour? You remember that?"
"The grass was flattened for three days till the rain came. But they looked pretty. Warrior-like and impressive, and all."
"Right, remember the boy laying in the grass before that?"
"The one the Dwarfs took in?"
"Right, that's the one. I heard news of him this morning. He's a prince."
"He's a what?"
"A prince."
"We've got two kings and two queens, what do we need with a prince?"
"Not our prince—Archenland's prince."
"Oh."
"He's been welcomed with open arms, they say."
"He didn't look like much of a prince."
"No. White and small and shaky."
"Our King Edmund was much better."
"Of course he is."
"What are they going to do with a prince?"
"Make him king one day, they say."
"Hmmm."
"This is very nice clover."
"We should send him a present."
"Now that's a thought."
"We'd have to get it to Archenland, though."
"The clover wouldn't last the journey."
"Sons of Adam don't eat clover, anyway."
"We could send something else. Carrots?"
"I hear the children of men don't like carrots. Grass? No, they don't eat that. Maybe a wreath or something."
"We could send it with the Dwarfs. I hear they're going to visit."
"Would a wreath last? Oh, it's a Badger—ho, neighbour! Guess what this Rabbit heard? There's a new prince in Archenland!"
