Bugs started talking with his relative, who happened to be his father, Philadelphia.
His name was an interesting one, but he never learned where the name came from.
"Hi, son. Looking forward to meeting your friends you mentioned."
"You will, Dad. This one happens to be a hunter for screwy rabbits. Just warning you before meeting him."
"What's his name?" Philadelphia asked.
He liked to be called Phil for short.
"Elmer Fudd. He likes calling me screwy rabbit. I like to call him Doc."
"Screwy rabbit and Doc. I think I like it. He can call me that when I meet him."
"I'll be sure to pass it on to him. He's going to be surprised about calling both of us screwy rabbit. I told him he would have two rabbits instead of one."
Phil laughed.
"You sure have a sense of humor, Bugs. Can't wait to meet him."
"I never mentioned I invited my dad out for meeting him. All I said was a relative."
"That's good enough, Bugs. Should be interesting how he would have two instead of one."
Now it was Bugs' turn to laugh.
Bugs decided to end this conversation with his father.
"I'll let you know when I arrive."
"Thanks, Dad. You're the best."
"No problem. Talk when I show up."
"All right."
End of conversation.
Bugs wasn't so sure about Elmer Fudd calling two rabbits screwy rabbit instead of one.
He reached out for a carrot. He was hungry anyway.
How would Elmer react to a name such as Philadelphia? Bugs asked himself.
After eating the carrot, he felt a bit better talking with his father. He reached out for another one.
Bugs would definitely pass this to Elmer. Would Elmer like the name his father has? He had no idea how to answer that question.
