"It's getting cooolder," Alicia whines, tucking herself back into bed next to Ricardo. "Oh my god."
He chuckles and wraps an arm around her, squeezing her close. "Sorry, I probably should've gotten up and checked the twins."
She shakes her head against his collar and exhales. "No, it's ok. It was my turn. I should've put socks on or something."
"The unfortunate time of year where we all have to dress warmer," he teases her, kissing her forehead. "Well, I'm glad you're back here where it's warmer."
"You're always very cozy to cuddle with," she says, tucking her head under his chin. "I'm thankful for it."
He smiles and kisses her again before finishing the reply to an email about the wrestling school. Once done, he sets the device aside and tips Alicia's face up, kissing her properly. "Welcome to fall," he murmurs against her lips.
She huffs slightly, tangling her fingers in his shirt. "Yes, well, I do love Halloween and the aesthetics of it all, I just didn't expect it to get so chilly so fast."
"Is it just me or is it getting super dark super early too?" he muses.
"It is!" she agrees. "I was thinking that last night too."
"Soon, we'll have to decorate for Halloween."
"Then Christmas," she says, and he groans, making her giggle.
"Don't remind me. Sofia will be all over the place with that one."
"Well, the house does look very nice when she's done."
"It does," Ricardo concedes, rubbing a hand lazily up and down her spine. "I guess I'm just not ready to let go of summer to the point we're talking about winter holidays, you know?"
"Oh yeah, I definitely get it," Alicia sighs. "Let's get through Halloween first, then maybe we'll find the energy to discuss it."
"Thatagirl," Ricardo says with a chuckle, kissing her again.
