It has been four years since I last saw Jay White. I had met him in Japan while he was a young lion for New Japan Pro Wrestling and I was there scouting for WWE. We started talking and became good friends. Then I had to go back to the WWE.

"Will you be back?" He asked. "I don't know." I told him. He sighed and wrapped his arms around me from behind. "I wish you could stay." He said. "I'll still be keeping up with your progress." I told him. "It's not the same." I smiled and turned around in his arms to face him. "I know, but I have a job too. Maybe one day we'll wrestle in the same promotion." I told him. "Why can't it be now?" He asked. I laughed and kissed his cheek. "I still have time on my WWE contract. Besides, you have your American excursion to do. You'll be with Alex and he's good." I told him. "Maybe we'll meet each other in the same city." He laid his head on my shoulder. "Jay, I told you this was going to happen."

"I know, but I was hoping you would stay." He mumbled. "I wish I could. I'll keep in touch."

That was the hardest thing I did. I knew I broke his heart when I left. My time in WWE came to an end and I decided not to renew my contract. I walked into AEW with a fresh mindset. "There's my favorite girl!" A voice said. I turned around to see Matt and Nick Jackson. "Hey guys." I said, hugging them. "Not gonna lie, Mia, you look hot." Matt said. I was dressed in a black dress that was see through in the middle and my favorite black boots along with my gold switchblade necklace. "Thank you." I told him. We walked down the hallway and caught up on the past. "Oh, guess who's here?" Nick said. "I already know about Jay wrestling here. I haven't spoken to him in years." I told them. "When he found out that you were going to be working here, he wasn't exactly excited. He wasn't angry either." Matt said as he opened the door to the locker room I'd be in. "I did hurt him by going back to the WWE. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't speak to me." I told them while placing my suitcase on the bench. "That was years ago though. He can't still be holding a grudge against you." Nick said. "I don't know. I need to get ready for tonight so I'll catch you guys later." I said. They left and I closed the door. My phone buzzed and I picked it up. 'You better come to makeup and say hi to us.' Saraya texted. I smiled and texted back. 'On my way.' I left my locker room and went to find the makeup area. Saraya was sitting in the chair getting her makeup done. Ruby spotted me and came running. "I can't believe you're here!" She said as she hugged me. "Believe it." I told her, hugging her back. Toni was next to hug me. "Don't forget me!" Saraya said. I laughed and hugged her too. "Who did your hair and makeup?" Ruby asked. "Celeste of course." I said. "Is she going to do your debut look too?" Toni asked. "As soon as she gets here. I should head back so I can get ready." I told them after thirty minutes. "At least now we can hang out." Saraya said. "Yeah. See you guys later." I said before leaving. As I walked down the hallway, I ran into Juice Robinson. "Amarie?"

"Hi Juice." I said. "What are you doing here?" He asked. "I wrestle here now." I told him. "Juice! What's taking you so long?" A voice asked. We looked up to see Jay White and the Gunn brothers walking towards us. "I'd better go. See you later." I told him before walking away. "Anita wait." Juice said as he grabbed my arm. "Anita?" The voice I'd come to miss said. "Hi Jay." I said, turning around. He looked surprised. "I really need to prepare for tonight." I told Juice, shaking off his hand. I continued down the hallway and I could feel Jay's eyes on me. I stepped into my locker room and leaned against the door. I took a deep breath and sighed. I then put on the outfit I had prepared for tonight.

I went to the makeup area where Celeste was waiting for me. "Girl, you look stellar." She said as I sat down. "Thank you. Cameron has great taste, right?" I said. "Of course! I love his sense of fashion." Celeste said. We chatted while she did my hair and makeup for the show. "Are you expecting anyone?" She suddenly asks. I open my eyes and looked at her. "Like who?" I asked. "Tall, long hair pulled up halfway, killer jacket." She said. I turned around and saw Jay.

"How long has he been there?" I whispered to her. "Since I started working on your makeup." She said. "Why didn't you say something?"

"He's not bothering me." She said as she motioned for me to close my eyes again. I heard Jay move closer. "Ladies." Jay said, his accent sending shivers up my spine. "Jay," I said. "Are you waiting for someone?" Celeste asked as she finished my makeup. "I was hoping you were finished. I'd like to talk to Anita." Jay told her. "I'm finished now. She's all yours." Celeste said. Jay held his hand out and I took it. He helped me up and we walked down the hallway. "How've you been?" He asked. "I've been okay. You? I've seen how busy you've been." I said. He shrugged. "Can't complain." He said. I nudged him and smiled. "I'm not going to lie. Seeing you here in AEW was a shock, but why did you walk away?" He asked. "I didn't know if you wanted to talk to me. I did break your heart when I left." I told him. Jay took my hand and made me stop. I looked up at him. "Yes you did break my heart, but I'm not angry with you. You had to go. I understood that. I also understand that you were very busy in WWE so it was hard to keep in touch." Jay said. "Yeah."

"I'm not angry." He said. "I'm kinda hoping that we could start over." He said. I smiled and nodded. "Of course." I told him. He wrapped me up in a hug and spun me around. "I've missed you." He told me as he held me. "I've missed you too." We stood there holding each other. "You should join me in Bullet Club." He said as we walked to catering. "I've been a Bullet Club babe." I told him. "You were Devitt's girl then. Now you're mine." He said. "Bullet Club Gold. After all, you are the gold standard of Women's wrestling." I laughed. "You're the first one to ever tell me that." I told him as we sat down. "Well it's true. How many titles have you won?" He asked. "I won the Women's title 18 times in WWE and 6 times in IMPACT. That's 26 times I've held a title." I said. "Exactly. The Golden Standard of Women's wrestling." Jay said as he kissed my hand. I smiled and we waited for the show to start. After the show started, Nick and Matt came to find me. "Kenny's looking for you." Nick said. "Well, I'd better go." I told Jay before kissing his cheek. "Remember what we discussed. Tonight." Jay said as I followed the Bucks. "I will." I told him. "What was that all about?" Matt asked. "A job opportunity." I smirked. "From Jay White? Are you joining him?" Nick asked. "Maybe. Why?" I asked. "No reason." Matt said. I rolled my eyes and followed them. We found Kenny in the office with Tony Khan. "There's she is!" Kenny said, hugging me. "We wanted to talk to you before you go out to the ring and surprise everyone by interrupting Saraya." Kenny said. "Okay. What about?" I said. "Joining us in The Elite." Matt said. I looked at all four of them. "I already told someone I'd join them." I said. "You're going to join White, aren't you?" Matt said. Kenny looked at me and I shrugged. "What happened to being part of The Elite?" Nick asked. "Guys, calm down." Kenny told them. "She's a big girl. She can do whatever she wants, including joining the enemy." Kenny said. "Jay White is not my enemy. He may be yours, but not mine. I'm joining Bullet Club Gold and I'm sorry that it hurts you that I'd choose love that I let go of five years ago over years of friendship!" I said standing up. "Tony, I'm sorry." I told him. "Not at all, Miss Moore. I'll let Jay know." Tony said. "I'll let him know. I'm headed back to him. This isn't going to affect my promo tonight is it?" I asked him. "No. Jay can let everyone know tonight." Tony said with a smile. "Thank you." I said before leaving. I found Jay still in catering with the rest of his crew. "There's my favorite girl." He said as he stood up. "You look angry."

"You be too if you're friends told you to choose between them or me." I said, crossing my arms. "They said that?" Jay asked. "Yeah. Apparently I chose the enemy." I said. Jay wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head. "Now I'm the enemy too." Juice scoffed. "I never did like them anyway." I laugh and pulled away from Jay. "Exactly. Tony said that you're going to tell everyone tonight that I'm part of the team, but don't say my name. I want to be the ultimate surprise." I told him. "Okay." I was told it was time for me to head to gorilla and I smiled. "My turn to stun the world." I told him. Saraya was in the ring with Ruby Soho talking about her victory and winning the title. Chasm by Flyleaf blared through the arena. As I walked out onto the ramp, the arena exploded in cheers. "OH MY GOD! IT'S AMARIE MOORE!" I soaked up the cheers and the chants before walking to the ring. I climbed onto the apron and did my entrance. I took the microphone from Saraya and smiled. "Congratulations on your victory!" I told her. "Now, I came out here to tell you to shut your mouth." I said. Saraya and Ruby looked shocked. "I don't care that you haven't held a title in so long or that you just made a comeback to wrestling. All I care about is the title." I said, pointing to the title sitting on her shoulder. "No, no! You have to earn your shot like everyone else." Saraya said. Jay White's theme rang out and they walked down the ramp to the ring. "Are you saying that Amarie isn't worthy of challenging you for that title?" Jay asked as he climbed into the ring. Saraya and Ruby looked at each other and then at me. "That's not what I said. I said she needs to earn it." Saraya said. I did a fake yawn and leaned against the ropes. "She's won 26 titles in her career as a wrestler. I believe she's earned it." Jay said and the crowd cheered. I shrugged my shoulders. "She's also part of Bullet Club Gold and quite frankly, she's the gold standard of Women's wrestling. You shouldn't even have that title." Jay said as he walked towards Saraya. I stood in front of him and shook my head. "If she wants me to earn it, I'll earn it. I'll earn a title shot in a match against her next week." I said with a smile. Saraya's jaw hit the floor. "Unless you're scared." I challenged. "Sounds like a plan. We'll see you next week." Jay said before my theme rang out and we went backstage. Saraya was having a fit in the ring. "Together again. Nothing can stop us now." Jay said before kissing me.
