Part 3

SEVEN YEARS PRIOR…

Olive's parents walked through the emergency room of OHSU hospital, her mom was really upset.

-…I told you not to let them go do stunts with the bikes… now he's broken a leg.. AGAIN.

Both stopped as they saw a blonde seven year old girl laying alone in one of the trauma rooms. Olive's mom went to the nurse in charge who happened to be a good friend of her.

-Who is she?

-We don't know… based on the police report she was found wandering on the road.

-ALONE? - Olive's mom said

-Believe it or not.

-And her parents? Did she said anything?

-No, she hasn't said a word, all she had with her was the Olive doll she had with her and that she doesn't let anyone take from her.

The woman walked to the girl and caressed her hair as she slept peacefully.

-Olive…

-All we know is she had bruises in her arms and a cut on her forehead.

A MONTH AFTER THAT…

Little Olive glared at her room.

-This room is all for me?

-Of course sweetie - her mom said

-wow…

PRESENT TIME

Olive was hyperventilating as she paced around the living room, her mother worriedly looking at her.

-I don't believe this…

-Olive, dear

-NO! DON'T TALK TO ME! W… WHO ARE YOU!?

-Olive, baby, I'm your mother…

-NO YOU'RE NOT! YOU… YOU ADOPTED ME! LIKE A STRAY PUPPY!

-OLIVE ANN ROSALSKY!

-DON'T CALL ME THAT! THAT'S NOT EVEN MY NAME AND YOU KNOW IT!

-Olive…

Her mother tried to get to her but the teenager pushed her hand away and ran up to her room.

-LEAVE ME ALONE!

Olive ran back to her room and slammed the door shut. Still hyperventilating she glared at herself on the mirror.

-WHO AM I! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!

Increasingly upset the blonde teenager sat on her bed trying to understand what was happening and how her perfect life had been but an illusion.

-this can't be… everything… everything is lie… A FREAKING LIE! MY LIFE IS A FREAKING LIE!

But as she tried to stand up she felt dizzy and everything around her began to spin until her limp body fell back on her bed.

REYNOLDS RESIDENCE.

-She's not answering… something is wrong… something is very wrong…

Sydney tried to dial again to the same result, her call going directly to voicemail.

-Olive come on…

She walked down to the living room to see her dad walking out of the kitchen with a not so good look on his face.

-Dad I need to

-Sydney listen to me and please be calmed.

-Dad you're scaring me…

-Deb just called… Olive is in the hospital…

-WHAT?

-I think… she found out something about her past and she got so upset she found her unconscious in her room and

-You mean she…

-No, I mean, nobody knows yet…

-You have to take me to the hospital… please Dad

Half an hour later both Max and Sydney arrived to the hospital, she ran to were Olive's mom was.

-How's Olive?

Deb glared at the teenager measuring her response.

-They… haven't told us yet…

-Did you told her…

-She… asked some questions and…

-Oh God…

Sidney went and sat on a nearby chair while Max went to Deb.

-Any news?

-I didn't want to scare Sydney but the doctor came early and said she had some sort of stroke, they are doing everything to make sure she's OK…

Max hugged her, he was the only one who knew the truth about Olive beside her parents.

SEVEN YEARS EARLIER

Max saw both Olive and Sidney play happily in a sandbox at the local park.

-Max, there's something you should know about Olive

-What do you mean?

-Did you saw me pregnant?

-Well…

-You have been a friend of the family for years and you deserve to know, we adopted her.

-That's beautiful, but why?

-She had no family and was found wandering on the road.

-You mean she was abandoned? - Max asked

-The police weren't sure… and there was no missing girl reports on her in Portland…

Max glared at the two girls that where running and laughing.

PRESENT TIME

The three were waiting anxiously for any information on Olive, Sydney called Emmy and Sophia and told them about Olive but refrained to tell them about why it had happened. At the same time Maya arrived, Sydney hugged her and began to cry.

-This is all my fault…

-Sydney look at me, this is not your fault and it'll never be.

-It is… if I had not seen that page… if hadn't said anything…

-Sydney… you did right…

Maya was about to say something else when the voice of a doctor interrupted her.

-Family of Olive Ann Rozalsky?
