Day: 3

Prompt: Soulmates

(A week before the finale)

"Ugh!" Amity said as she walked into her room. "Finally, I'm done for the day and now I can get ready. I'm not missing a day with you, my hermosa."

It had been 3 years since the Belos and the Collector were defeated. Since then things have been much more peaceful and the Boiling Isles were so close to being rebuilt. Amity's life had taken a turn for the better in the time since Belos' defeat. For starters her parents divorced and she and her siblings have completely cut ties with Odalia altogether.

Secondly, she had become a master of abomination engineering much like her father and this skill has helped a lot in their goal of rebuilding the Boiling Isles. Along with becoming a certified adventurer searching the new lands beyond the Boiling Isles for Lilith's new collection at the rebuilt Bonesborough Library.

But most importantly her relationship with Luz was still going stronger, stronger than ever. Since they now had an easy way to each other's world they would both go see each other. Today was the last day Amity would see her girlfriend for the next week since Luz had human school stuff to take care of. Luz has been studying in the human realm ever since graduating from Hexside, and since this would be the last time they would see each other until next week, they both planned a small date on the last day before she had to leave. All they were going to do was have a small picnic together under their grom tree. It wasn't anything big but it didn't need to be, all they needed was just the two of them, together. Amity had just finished her task for the day and was finally starting to get ready to meet Luz. Amity cleaned herself up and put on a fresh pair of clothes.

"Hey Mittens!" Emira said as she walked into her sister's room, "Luz is waiting outside for you."

"Thanks Em," Amity replied as she ran by her sister to meet her girlfriend.

Amity walked out her door and her face was beaming when she saw her girlfriend.

Amity bolted to her girlfriend and jumped into her arms, "Luz!"

"Amity!" Luz replied and she picked Amity up and spun her around.

Luz placed Amity back on the ground and placed a sweet and gentle kiss on Amity's lips. Something Amity would never get tired of.

"Ready, Hermosa?" Luz asked, arms still wrapped around her waist.

"Absolutely, let's go Batata!" Amity replied.

"Well then," Luz held out her arm, "Shall we milady?" Luz asked in a silly voice.

"Why yes, you may." Amity grabbed Luz's arm and the two walked to their Grom tree.

Normally they would fly there together but it wasn't that far away and they wanted to spend as much time as possible together. They arrived at the grom tree and Amity laid out the blanket. Luz had brought a lot of her and Amity's favorite human realm food and left it at The Owl House to keep it all fresh till today. They spend the rest of their day under the tree together. When they got done eating Luz laid against the tree with Amity laying her head on her shoulder.

"Hey Luz," Amity said as they laid together.

"Yes Ami?" Luz responded by running her fingers through Amity's hair.

"After everything we went through, Do you ever think about what the future holds?" Amity asked and she enjoyed what girlfriend was doing.

Luz thought about it for a second before responding, "Well….I have few ideas."

"Tell me some."

Luz placed a light kiss on Amity's head. "Well, I've always imagined living in either world, but regardless I would always have quick access between the human world and the demon realm that way I would never be far from my friends and family. That's just one of many scenarios I've thought of, but do you know what all my scenarios have in common?"

Amity looked up at the human, "What's that?"

Luz looked deep into those golden eyes she fell in love with, "You would always be there."

Amity turned red as a tomato as she was known to do, "R-R-Really?"

"Amity," Luz responded as she sat Amity up and held her hand in her own and looked her directly into her eyes, "A Lot of things have happened since I first came to the Boiling Isles. Some bad, sure but mostly good. I met my best friends, I grew as a person, I learned magic, all sorts of stuff. But the best thing that happened to me was meeting and falling in love with you."

"Luz….." Amity replied, hanging on Luz's every word.

"When we started dating I told you I wanted you in my future and I meant it. I love you Amity Blight more than anything.

Amity couldn't contain herself anymore. launched herself to Luz and placed a very passionate kiss to her lips which Luz returned. The longest and most passionate kiss they ever shared. They both reluctantly broke the kiss and stared into each other's eyes, both red as a stop sign.

"Luz…." Amity said in a low tone, and she reached behind her neck and took off her necklace, and put it around Luz's neck.

"You're giving me your necklace?" Luz asked. "But isn't this your official The Good Witch Azura Hecate lunar necklace?"

"Yes, but the thing is…" Amity took a deep breath and started talking as fast as possible, "In the Boiling Isles it's tradition for a witch to exchange jewelry to their partner. It's a symbol that my heart will always be with you and yours will always be with me. I've wanted to do this for a while but I wanted to wait until the perfect moment."

Luz said nothing as she placed another gentle kiss on Amity's lips. They broke the kiss and wrapped their arms around each other and rested their heads against each other.

"I love you, sweet potato."

"I love you too, hermosa."

Amity and Luz laid back against the tree and Amity fell asleep in the love of her life's arms.

"I will leave in the morning, I don't want to move from this spot anytime soon." Luz thought to herself as she drifted off to sleep.
