2Teen Date
Once their game ended, it was now NeoMark, Deadpool and BeConFuzzled Writer who were left.
"So… given the title of this chapter and the fact that you're still here means we all have a good idea what show is next." Deadpool said.
"I thought your fourth wall breaking abilities allows you some sense of spoilers." BeConFuzzled said with a smirk.
"Okay… so… we can skip the part of Danny's return home and his meeting with Tucker. He dated Jack-Jack's babysitter again, so we're good there." NeoMark said.
"YES! LET'S GO!" Deadpool said.
"Wait… 61394 ate all the food. I didn't even get anything." BCF said.
"It's cool… I can order food while we watch." NeoMark said.
Danny went to his computer and logged onto the You+Me=LOVE! website. It was time that he rated his date with Vi. He decided to be fair and score her an 8, due to how he felt she still had feelings for Tony. That said, he enjoyed his time with her, both in and out of costume.
He then noticed his next date waiting for him.

"If you don't mind me asking-" BCW started.
"Shh…" NeoMark said.
BCW tilted his head with a perplexed look.
"Uh..." He went.
"Usually, I answer the question of why this character is here after we see them." NeoMark explained.
"I see…" BCW said.
"He also doesn't like it when people interrupt him… such a dork. Then again, you're both adults with the mindsets of children…" Deadpool said hypocritically as he snacked on a large ice cream sundae.
Both NeoMark and BeConFuzzled Writer shared an unamused look.
"Want to make every chimichangas within sight run from Deadpool screaming, possibly depriving him of his favorite snack later?" BCF asks.
"Agreed."
The Next Day
At the hockey rink.
Danny had managed to arrive at the hockey rink on time. After checking his hair, he made sure the flowers were alright and his heart sticker was in place for when he meets his next blind date, SportyJen.
That's when she walked towards Danny, spotting him from afar.
He's short… already not off to a good start but… I gotta be mature. She thought.
"Hey there..." She said to get his attention.
Danny turned around to see a tall, teenage girl approach him, one with red hair, blue eyes and a heart sticker on her light blue Hoodie. He knew this had to be her.
"Hello there. You must be SportyJen…" Danny said.
"Just Jen is fine, you must be D-Fenton..." Jen said to her blind date.
"Yeah but you can call me Danny...these are for you, Jen..."Danny said as he handed her the flowers.
"Thanks…" Jen said lightly as she looked at them.
Huh...these are kinda nice. I guess that's one point for him… She thought, half neutral, half pleased.
The two teenagers then went to get their tickets and then entered the rink to where their blind date would begin.
"Huh… Jen's back." BeConFuzzled Writer said.
"So… tell us why she's back. Why did you pick her as opposed to the other girls of the 6 character group?" Deadpool asks.
"Well, it's simple. First off, I like Jen. I think she's a nice character and she's someone I did want to write. I actually binged about a dozen episodes of 6Teen to get an idea of how to write her." NeoMark said.
"Then a certain someone took the spot." Deadpool said cheerfully.
"As far as I know, NeoMark was cool with it. He never said anything otherwise..." BCW shrugged.
"It's cool. As for the other reason… well… For Nikki, I did take out Gwen from TDI because she's too much like Sam, so that's the main reason. As for Caitlyn, I think she's a little too shallow even if she's not a bad person. So… that's why." NeoMark said.
"That's reasonable..." BCW said.
"Alright. Let's keep going." Deadpool said.
In the audience of the hockey game
After getting some snacks and taking their seats, Danny and Jen began to start with the standard blind date questions he's used to bringing up.
"So Jen, tell me about yourself?" Danny asked.
"Well, I recently turned 16, I work at the Penalty Box...a sporty goods store at the Galleria Mall. I like sports of all kinds, especially snowboarding and hockey, among others..." Jen said.
"I see..." Danny said, already knowing they don't have that much in common.
"What about you?" Jen asked.
"Well...I'm 14, I go to school at Casper High in Amity Park...I'm not really that much of a sports fan, unless you count bowling…" Danny said.
Jen unintentionally frowned, seeing as bowling isn't really the kind of sport she's into.
14...and not sporty... Jen thought in disappointment.
"So...any hobbies?" Jen asked for the sake of being polite.
"Like I said, I like bowling and I have an interest in NASA, Astronomy and I like video games. And you?" Danny asked.
"Like I said, sports and I like music from Dawg Toy…" Jen answered unenthusiastically.
There's no way this guy could be my match. He's younger and isn't into sports. He's cute but not cute enough to overlook those two things that go against what I wanted. Man...I'm beginning to sound like Caitlyn… Jen thought in silence as she and Danny decided to focus on the hockey match.
Danny looked away, feeling awkward.
I guess she can tell we're not bonding. I can't blame her though, but may I shoul-
Something then hit him in the back of the head.
"OUCH!" Danny yelped.
"Are you okay?" Jen asked in an alarmed tone of voice.
"I think so..." Danny said as he picked up the soda can.
It was then they both heard an obnoxious voice laughing.
"Who is that?" Jen asked under her breath, hating the sound already.
"Dash…" Danny growled as his school bully came to them.
"I knew I'd get back at you for yesterday, dweeb!" Dash said.
"For what? I didn't do anything!" Danny exclaimed.
"Don't lie! I know you and the skinny chick did something!" Dash accused.
"Excuse me, who are you?" Jen asked angrily.
It was then that Dash's eyes landed on the unfamiliar girl. This caused him to smile eagerly as he placed his hand through his hair.
"Hey there, cutie. What are you doing here with a dweeb like this?" Dash asked in a smooth voice, one that had no effect on Jen since she saw him being unpleasant to Danny.
"We happen to be on a date..."Jen said.
Dash blinked in surprise before scoffing.
"Oh please...first that kung fu monster, then the water chick, then the spazz from yesterday and now this babe?! I don't believe it. The other losers? Maybe. But not a hottie like you..." Dash said
Jen figured he was referring to other girls that Danny went out with due to the program.
How immature and disrespectful… She thought with a frown.
"Don't talk about Vi or the others like that…" Danny said, only for Dash to push him to the ground.
"Danny?" Jen exclaimed after gasping.
"Come on babe, why don't you dump the loser and watch the game with a real stud like me?" Dash asked in his Casanova voice.
Jen growled in anger at how rudely he was being.
"Look dude, I don't know who you think you are but-"
"Oh yeah, sorry, forgot to introduce myself. The name is Dash Baxter, quarterback for the Casper High football team. Which reminds me, do you like quarterbacks?" Dash asked flirtatiously and tried to put his arm around her.
Jen growled in anger in response.
"Not ones that are big jerks like you!" Jen shouted as she slapped him for daring to touch her without her permission.
"OUCH!" Dash exclaimed in pain as Jen sent him a dirty look.
I have way higher standards than what's essentially an American Jonesy, athlete or otherwise. At least Danny was being respectful of bounda- Jen stopped thinking as she realized Danny was still on the floor.
"Danny..." Jen said as she helped him get up.
Dash was still smarting over the slap she gave him before erupting in anger.
"You! What the heck are you doing?!" Dash shouted angrily, getting attention from the other spectators.
"What am I doing? You march over her to harass the guy I am on a date with, touch me without my permission and act like a grade A creep!" Jen shouted in anger.
"Why you-" Dash growled.
Danny quickly got between him and Jen when it seemed like he was about to assault her.
"Dash, leave her alone!' Danny shouted, not wanting his bully to keep harassing his date.
This was something Jen noticed.
Huh...he has guts, I'll give him that much. Jen thought, surprised and somewhat impressed.
Suddenly a security guard came over.
"What the heck is going on here?' The security guard demanded an answer.
It was then Dash had a sinister look on his face.
"These two jerks over her were harassing me and this girl slapped me…" Dash lied, making Danny and Jen look appalled.
"What? No we weren't, you came here to harass us!" Danny shouted, feeling like he was back at Casper High.
"Did you actually slap this guy, miss?" The guard asked.
Jen looked absolutely peeved.
"You don't understand, this creep was messing with us and had the nerve to touch me that-"
The security guard wasn't listening to them anymore. Dash had a smug look on his face as he knew what would happen now.
"This is looking too much like the original story." Deadpool said.
"It's still a good start. I like it." BCF said.
"Don't worry… here's the big change." NeoMark said.
"That man attacked Danny and touched me without consent!" Jen shouted.
Before the guard could say anything, Danny's ghost sense went off. Thankfully, no one saw it, but that meant something.
"Oh no…" He muttered.
A piercing screech was heard coming from above the ice rink. Everyone stopped what they were doing, even the hockey teams, in order to look up at a pair of menacing red eyes looking down. That's when it jumped off the rafters.
"Look out!" One player said as they skated out of the way of the large creature landing.
In the middle of the ice rink was a large ghost animal, a bird of some kind.
It looked not unlike a bird Jen had seen before, only bigger and with a pale blue in pace of white.
The large bird screeched and made everyone in the audience run away.
"That penguin is gonna wreck this place..." Danny muttered.
"It's not a penguin. It's a Puffin..."Jen clarified.
The ghost boy sent her a puzzled look.
"A… puffin?" Danny asks.
"I'm from Canada, I see a lot of those when I go to the beach..." She explained.
Before they knew it, the large bird jumped over the barrier to the rink and started running up the stairs.
"We should go." Danny said.
Despite how crowded the halls were, the two looked for a way out.
"Over here!" Jen said, pointing to what looked like a storage closet with the door somewhat ajar.
However, once they opened it, the one inside pushed them away.
"This is my hiding spot!" Dash went.
"Dash?" Danny asks.
"I'm hiding here! Me! Just me!" Dash went before flashing a smile at Jen. "Unless someone wants to apologize and go out with me after this? Maybe make out while inside here?"
"I'd rather be eaten by Big Bird out there." Jen said with arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
Dash looked momentarily shocked before frowning in insult.
"Well fine!" He shouted before slamming the door.
With that, the two found themselves out in the open as the giant puffin went up the stairs and into the hallway of the second floor.
The puffin made its way done, causing panic as people got out of the way. Someone pushed Jen down in their attempt to escape.
"Hey!" She shouted before seeing the puffin coming towards her.
Jen's eyes opened wide as she screamed before Danny got in its path and threw a discarded soda cup at it, getting its attention.
"Hey! Back off! She's already on a date!" He shouted.
Angered, the puffin responded by grabbing Danny in its beak before running off with him.
Jen got back up, gasping in shock.
"Danny?! NO!"
The puffin made its way to the rooftop thanks to intangibility, still with Danny in its beak. Seeing that they were no longer in view of others, Danny decided to take advantage.
"Sam's not here to complain about animal cruelty, Jen's not here to see this, which means… I'm goin' ghost!" Danny said before morphing.
Turning into mist, he escaped the bird's beak before reforming and kicked it in said beak.
Angered, the puffin screeched loudly. It tried to use its beak on him, only for Danny to avoid them by bobbing out of the way repeatedly.
"Chill, Big Bird..." Danny said as he fired an ice beam, freezing a wing.
Once he saw an opening, he descended onto the rooftop before swinging his fist upwards into the belly, knocking it off the hockey center. Hovering up, and seeing no one below, Danny decided to knee the giant bird in the belly, causing it to fall on the concrete below. Pulling out the thermos, he fired and trapped the bird within it.
Relieved, Danny closed the thermos and took a breath.
Better get back to my pretty date who isn't really into me… He thought.
"Danny!" He heard Jen call out. Looking down, he saw her outside. "Danny!"
She wasn't going back in after seeing the puffin was gone, or applauding Danny Phantom, she was occupied with trying to see where Danny was.
"She's looking for me…" He said under his breath.
Thinking fast, Danny decided to turn invisible and find a spot to morph. Once he did, he walked into view of where Jen was looking.
"Danny!" Jen said in relief as she ran up to him and put her hands on his shoulders. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She asks in concern.
"Other than almost being bird chow, I'm okay." Danny said in a light tone to assure her.
"What the heck was that?! Why is there a giant bird running around? Was that supposed to be about some game you guys are having?" Jen asks.
Based on her words, it was clear she didn't know that it was a ghost. Still, he wanted to say something when he remembered something.
"Are you okay though? You got knocked to the floor." He questioned her.
"I'll live." She said reassuringly before looking back at the hockey center. "That coward, on the other hand…"
"If you mean Dash, I'm not surprised you'd want to manhandle him. Sorry about that." Danny said.
"Don't! This wasn't your fault Danny. It was that blonde creep. So, just who was he anyway?" Jen asked.
"Dash Baxter, he's a bully at my school and I just happen to be his favorite target...he was supposed to be out of town for the summer, but his folks canceled the trip, so he decided he wants to take it out on me..." Danny said.
Jen looked upset, but it wasn't directed at Danny.
"I can't believe this, this is supposed to be an important game, the Ice Pigs versus the Winter Wolves and I'm missing it because of that loser almost got us kicked out. If we go back, he'll get the security guard to come after us again. This can't go unpunished." Jen said, getting Danny's attention.
"What do you mean?" Danny asked.
Jen suddenly had a sly look on her face.
"Danny, you know personally what a big jerk that Dash guy is. Are you up for a little bit of payback?" Jen asked with a mischievous look on her face.
Danny blinked and thought about it with a smile now adorning his face. He knew that trying to sink to Dash's level hasn't always ended well for him, but he was tired of Dash always ruining things for him and getting away with it. Worse is now he almost got Jen in danger, and it was his job to make sure his blind date was enjoying her time.
"What do you have in mind?" Danny asked.
Jen leaned in to whisper her plan.
"Should we skip to the part where Dash gets humiliated? Because it looks like it's going back to how it was in the old version." Deadpool said.
"Not really. I mean, it sounds cathartic either way, but I suppose we should at least see the results." BCF scratched his chin with a finger as he mulled over the details.
"Sure thing." NeoMark said.
With that, Deadpool pressed fast forward.
Cut back to the story
"WHAT THE HECK?!" Dash shouted just as he realized that the whole place saw him like this and started pointing and laughing.
"What the heck?" The security guard shouted upon seeing what happened.
Danny used this opportunity to use intangibility to slip out of his hands.
'Catch me if you can, copper!" Danny shouted as he threw some trash at the guard, getting his attention away from Jen.
"Why you little brat!" 'He shouted as he gave chase to Danny, who was leading him away from Jen.
As the rest of the audience laughed at Dash's humiliation, Jen was distracted by what Danny just did.
Jen saw Danny do whatever he could to make sure the guards didn't see her and smiled at his actions. She used this opportunity to sneak away from here before any other guards showed up. All the while, she saw a guard grab Danny.
"Who else was helping you?" The guard asks.
"It was just me." Danny assured, not ratting Jen out.
Jen couldn't hear it but knew Danny wasn't even gesturing in her direction, making it clear he wasn't ratting her out. She smiled.
Outside
"The next time you sneak in through here, I'm calling your parents!" The security guard shouted after he pushed Danny out in anger.
"Don't worry, dude...I learned my lesson…" Danny said as the angry guard just slammed the door shut.
"Danny…" Jen said as she, no longer in her disguise, came to him.
"Hey Jen... well, mission complete...'Danny said in a pleased voice.
"I'm sorry you got in trouble Danny. I never should have suggested this…" Jen said, feeling guilty.
"Why? We managed to get back at Dash and I... got lucky that the guard decided not to call my parents..." Danny said, remembering having used overshadowing on the guard who, in his confusion, Danny reminded that he was escorting him off the premises, instead of what he originally planned to do.
"Well...good. Also, thanks for not ratting me out...that was...pretty cool of you…" Jen admitted.
"Hey, I'm no snitch...besides, what kind of gentleman would I be if I failed in doing something simple as helping my date get payback on the biggest jerk in town..." Danny said, making Jen laugh at that.
"You're funny..."Jen admitted with a smile.
It's weird, despite being younger than me and not into sports, Danny was pretty funny and cool in his own way. The way he suggested the garbage slime was hilarious and the way he didn't mention my involvement at all to protect me and make sure that jerk got what was coming to him...it took guts. She thought, not wanting to end her time with him.
"You know Danny...even if we can't watch the game here...They are still showing it on TV...If you want...we could watch it together…" Jen suggested.
"It would be my pleasure, Jen…" Danny said, flashing a smile at her.
I have to admit, that was kind of cute. Jen thought with a blush, though she could not hide her smile as well.
Later
Danny and Jen soon decided to go get a bite to eat at a Sports' themed restaurant that had many monitors showing all sorts of sporting events. This included a replay of the game they had been at earlier, laughing when it showed Dash getting covered in garbage before running away in humiliation.
As they enjoyed their nachos and soda, Jen told him that while she is from Toronto, she's in Amity Park for the summer with her friends, at her friend's Caitlyn's cousin's house and that her friend was the one who informed her on this dating service in the first place. After that, they decided to take a walk around town, cracking jokes and talking more about their own personal experiences they both found funny.
"Are you serious? You actually scared your boss with a toy mouse and he freaked out?" Danny asked while he laughed loudly.
"Hey, he had it coming, he was taking things way too far and threatening business, and most of all my commissions..." Jen said with a smirk.
Danny continued to laugh, finding the whole thing hilarious.
Jen smiled as they kept talking, seeing Danny in a different light than when they met.
It's weird. Despite him being younger and not into sports, it's super easy to get along with Danny. He's actually a pretty decent guy once you get the chance to know him. And pretty cute too… She thought.
It was then that she noticed it was getting late. Jen groaned silently when she realized she had to be getting back.
"I need to be getting back, Danny..." Jen said.
"Let me walk you home. Where is it?...'Danny asked.
"Just about three blocks from here..." Jen said, referring to Caitlyn's cousin's house.
They continued to walk and talk until they made it to the door. As they did so, Jen took another look at him.
He's not just cute, he's somehow a better guy at this than anyone back home. Jonesy of all people could learn a thing or two from him. Jen smiled at him again.
"I got to say Danny...aside from that weird bird thing and that flirty and dirty coward, today wasn't so bad…" Jen admitted.
"Yeah...it was kind of fun, I mean...I got to hang out with a cool girl and get a whole semester's worth of payback in one go...so I see it as a pretty good day." Danny said, making Jen giggle.
"Yeah…" Jen said, feeling a little strange.
She knew that despite the age difference, Danny was the first date she actually enjoyed in this program.
Should I? I mean, I had fun with him and he's cute in a sort of non-athletic way. Should I? Hmm… actually. I shouldn't have to. I should want to. And I want to. She thought.
"Hey Danny?" Jen asked.
"Yeah? Danny responded.
Jen quickly leaned in and kissed him on his right cheek, making Danny blush in the process.
"Consider that as thanks..." Jen said.
"For what?" Danny asked.
"For helping me get payback...and for not getting mad at me when it backfired…" Jen said.
"Heh… Well, a few minutes of getting yelled at by an old guy is worth it for that kind of fun…" Danny said, making Jen smile.
She kissed him on the other cheek, surprising Danny.
"Glad you feel that way…" Jen said.
"What was that one for?" Danny asked as his mouth dropped open slightly.
"For showing me a nice time today..."Jen admitted, making Danny blush even brighter now as she went to the door. "See ya around D-Fenton…" She then said with a wink.
"Bye.." A still blushing Danny said as she closed the door.
Danny, after a moment of wondering what just happened, realized that it is getting late and he needs to get home before curfew.
Wow… He said with a big smile on his face, having not felt that flustered since Marinette or Sakura.
Later
Unknown to Danny, Jen had watched him until he was out of sight and smiled, despite herself. She looked around and saw that the place was empty. She deduced that her friends were out doing their own thing. Jen pulled out her phone and dialed a certain number. After a few moments, she was talking with somebody.
"Hey Caitlyn. Yeah, I just got back from my date. Caitlyn, I was wondering, remember that rule you said about dating guys that are older than you? Um...Can you refresh my memory on the rule if the guy happens to be younger than you?" Jen asked on the phone.
"Was he younger than you?" Caitlyn asks.
"Yeah. And… surprisingly… that doesn't bother me." Jen admitted as she laughed a bit in an affectionate way.
As Caitlyn spoke to her, Jen continued to think of the boy with dark hair, sky blue eyes and a cute, warm smile.
