Chapter 14 (Adrian) The Traitor

It was night time and Andrea and I were hiding behind a bush in the forest. Luke was just up ahead. I looked at Andrea. "Now." I whispered. We burst out of our hiding place and we jumped at Luke just as he disappeared.

There was a blinding light as we appeared outside of a dark cave. Luke knocked Andrea down and punched me in the face. I fell down on the ground. I heard Andrea draw her knife and slash at Luke but Luke deflected it with his own sword. He twisted the dagger out of her hand and pointed the tip of the sword at her throat.

"Don't make me do it." He whispered.

Andrea snarled. "Kill me then, you filthy traitor."

Suddenly behind us, monsters of all sorts came out of the cave. The surrounded us and out of the middle came a coffin wrapped in gold cloth. Luke let go of Andrea and walked over to the coffin and knelt. "Lord Kronos, I have brought you two demigods, both children of Athena." A demigod wearing armour and an eyepatch stepped out. "Are you sure we can use them?"

Luke glared at him. "Shut it Nakamura." The demigod drew his sword.

"Enough." From the shadows of the cave came more monsters. This time even worse than before. A Titan. Hyperion. Titan of the East. Titan of the Sun. The most powerful Titan after Kronos. He pointed at me. "That one looks good enough. Dispose of the other." Luke got up and drew his sword again.

"No, Wait!" I shouted. "Kill me, not her. Please."

"Get out of my way, Chase." Luke snarled.

"Make me."

He kicked me in the face. I fell down again onto the floor. Hyperion walked over to me. He smiled evilly. "Kill the girl and you will be rewarded, Luke Castellan."

I screamed in pain as I watched the blade as Luke stabbed Andrea in the chest. She cried out and fell down and Luke stabbed her again, removing all hope that she was still alive. I screamed in rage and charged at Luke, not even caring about the hundreds of monsters and the Titan behind me. Luke swung his sword and left a deep cut on my leg. I fell into a kneeling position in front of him.

"Kill me then, you spineless worm." I whispered. He raised his sword.

"No wait." Hyperion walked over. "Not yet. My brother has some plans for him." The Titan laughed and walked over to a cliff edge. "Besides, watching him suffer as he dies would be much more enjoyable. He turned around, glowing with light.

Luke walked in front of me. "I'm heading back to camp. Good night Adrian." He punched me again in the face. As I lay on the ground and slowly losing consciousness, all I thought of was Andrea lying next to me, her eyes, seeing nothing, wide open, her face frozen in shock and pain. I'm sorry Andrea, I thought as I blacked out.
