The next day, Teams CMSN and LEMO were out looking for Dust but hardly any of the shops were open.

"Unusual." Cinder said.

"What are we gonna do?" Magenta asked.

Lapis sighed. "I know someone who can help us. Follow me." She said and her friends followed closely behind.

The renowned hero of Remnant led them to the SDC building.

"...Lapis, why are we at the Schnee Dust Company? They manufacture Dust." Emerald asked.

Lapis said nothing then led them inside and to the receptionist.

"May I help you?" She asked.

"Tell Miss Schnee that Lapis Lazuli is here to cash in a favor."

She got on the phone and contacted Weiss. "Yes, ma'am, I have the Defender of the Four Kingdoms here with her friends. She says she's cashing in a favor. ... Of course. I'll send them up right away." She said then ended the call. "Miss Schnee will be expecting you in her office on the top floor."

Lapis nodded then the eight first years walked to an elevator and took it to the top floor. When it opened, they walked right to the door leading into the office. There, Pyrrha stood with a friendly smile on her face.

"Ah, Lapis. How nice to see you..." The redhead started.

"Just open the damn door, Pyrrha." The silver eyed girl said and Pyrrha did.

Weiss looked up and smirked. "Well, well. Lapis Lazuli. How nice to meet with the world's greatest hero again."

"I'm not here for idle chitchat, Weiss. With you or Yang." Lapis said when she saw Yang as the helmet wearing girl walked to the two women.

"Always so aggressive, kiddo." Yang said with a smirk.

"Wonder where I learned that from." Lapis quietly sneered sarcastically at Yang, who rolled her eyes. "My friends and I need Dust but because of most of the Dust shops being closed, the SDC is the only place to get the Dust." She said to Weiss at a normal volume. "We'll need enough for the next few months if you can spare it, Weiss."

"Of course. Anything for a friend." Weiss smiled.

"We are not friends." Lapis growled.

"...While we're here, may we ask why the Dust shops are closed?" Cinder asked.

"Robberies because of those ne'er-do-wells, the Black Rose." Weiss scowled.

"You mean the global criminal organization, the Black Rose?" Mercury asked and Weiss nodded.

"They've been at this for weeks now."

"Weird thing is it's not usually their target. Money's usually more their style." Yang said.

"And you're all about style. Right, Commander?" Lapis snarled, heavy sarcasm in her tone when she called Yang a Commander.

Yang glared at the younger girl, who glared back. Only one thing kept the two from attacking each other and that was Weiss clearing her throat.

"Nevertheless, I'm willing to give you and your friends enough Dust for the next few months, Lapis. I have more than enough on my hands, anyway." The white haired woman said. "Pyrrha, see to it, please."

"Of course, Weiss." Pyrrha said.

"Thank you, Miss Schnee." Neo said via her Scroll.

"Of course. Friends of Lapis' are friends of ours, Miss Vanille." Weiss said.

"With all due respect, I prefer Neopolitan or Neo."

"My apologies, Neo."

"With our contract negotiated and ready to be signed, I won't take up much more of your time, Weiss. You couldn't have asked for better protection." Yang said then turned to the first years. "I'll give you kids a ride back to Beacon with your Dust." She added before glaring at Lapis. "And I'm not going to take no for an answer."

Lapis glared back with a growl before Magenta placed a hand on her leader's shoulder and looked at Yang. "We'll accept your offer for a lift back, Commander." She said/signed, a translation of all that was having been provided by Cinder.

"I'll let you know when the conference is arranged." Weiss said to Yang.

Yang nodded at Weiss then smirked at Lapis, who just glared before heading to the elevator without another word. Her friends and Yang followed behind her. Yang began talking about some of the things she'd dealt with since graduating from Beacon.

"...and then this little badass flies in on her bike and immediately targets the Queen Lancer with fire Dust rounds, giving Nora an opening to smash its head in." Yang finished as the ship docked at Beacon with the Dust the students requested. As she knew Lapis wouldn't translate, Magenta has looked at Cinder for interpretation of Yang's stories.

"Lapis told us the part where she lent a hand but we hadn't heard the full story till now." Ember said.

"So, she hasn't told about some of her run-ins with the White...?" Yang heard Lapis draw her sword out an inch in warning.

"Finish that sentence and you'll need an extra prosthetic arm as well as prosthetic legs, Xiao Long!" The silver eyed swordswoman growled.

"My, my. Quite the surprise." Eight of the nine turned to see a man with a braided ponytail resembling a scorpion tail and an actual scorpion tail as well. "Yang Xiao Long. Been quite some time." He said.

"Tyrian." Yang said with a straight face.

"That's still Professor Callows to you, Miss Xiao Long."

"And that's Commander Xiao Long to you."

"Be that as it may, I'm afraid I have to ask you to leave. But before you do...your mother sends her regards."

Yang's eyes turned red briefly before she calmed down. "You're right. I have a few things to take care of. I'll see you and your friends at the Vytal Festival, Lapis." Yang said then got back in her Bullhead, which flew off.

Lapis just growled but sheathed her sword. She then turned to Tyrian. "What did she mean when she said that, Professor?"

"Commander Xiao Long has spoken to the Council about having the Burning Suns as part of the security detail for the Vytal Festival." The Faunus professor said.

"What?!" She shouted then marched past everyone and headed for Selene's office.

Onyx groaned softly and leaned on Ember for support.

That's chapter seven

Tyrian will still have his flair for the dramatic, but he won't be insane in this story
