The Many Deaths of the Justice League

"Let's Go!" The Flash yelled out grabbing Reverse-Flash by the hand as they fling each other running at super speed. The Flash hated Reverse-Flash but at this moment he needed him in if this world was to survive Zod.
The Flash leapt up throwing a massive bolt of lightning at a Kryptonian soldier then landed on top of him sliding across the ground like a surfboard before grabbing his weapon and running it into the hands of another soldier.
The Reverse-Flash leaps over an energy beam kicking his Kryptonian soldier in the chest causing him to fly back across the ground. Then The Reverse-Flash held out his hands catching the rifle and ran to a soldier handing it to him.
"I think you'll find you'll be better with this." The Reverse-Flash told him before speeding off in a blur of red lighting.
The Flash and the Reverse-Flash ran around cutting off a group of Kryptonian soldiers twisting around sliding to a stop as their boots touch causing an explosion of blue and red lighting dome as they propel off each other.
There were twelve Kryptonians floating in the air, six near The Flash and six near the Reverse-Flash. They watched them fall in slow motion. Both speedsters ran up to each Kryptonian, The Flash used Faora's blade to kill each one, while the Reverse-Flash vibrateded both his hands and ran them through the Kryptonians then each speedster grabbed the rifles and ran them into the hands of the human soldiers.
As The Flash was running to grab the last rifle he slid to a stop clutching his chest heavy sweat running down his face. The Flash exited Flash-Time with everything around him moving at normal speed. The Reverse-Flash slid to a stop next to him.
"Careful how much time you spend in what future you call it? Flash-Time? When everything around you is moving in slow motion because you're moving so fast. Careful not to get stuck living an entire lifetime in a single moment." The Reverse-Flash warned.
The Flash thinks back to his future self, The Dark Flash. Old man Barry Allen in that brunt, twisted, creepy armor with fragmented shards sticking out of it. The Flash shook the memory catching his breath.
"Yeah well we don't have time, Thawne." The Flash snapped at him.
"Just saying Flash-Time is really hard on the body the longer you maintain it Flash." The Reverse-Flash said with an evil smile.
There was a loud explosion in the air. Both speedsters looked up to see one of the two remaining Kryptonian ships going down in flaming glory with a number of fighter jets letting out all their missiles at it hitting it with everything until it crashed into the ground and blew up. The other one was being chased down by the Batwing as it shot out its engines. Then fired its missiles, taking it down.
At this point with the Kryptonian sky power reduced to nothing the gunship powered-up its engines and its multi-targeting cannons to start flying around shooting multiple jets and attack helicopters as it gave chase toward the Batwing.
The Flash remembered in his half a dozen attempts it was Batman who died first. The Flash remembers each of the half of dozen deaths he saw Batman perish from. The Flash then heard another explosion to see Nam-Ek emerging from flames swinging a giant missile around swatting soldiers away like they were mere baseballs waiting to be hit.
The Flash saw the gunship and Nam-Ek both were the constant inevitability that killed Batman. They were both active as if time was correcting itself to make sure Batman would die. The Flash couldn't do anything about the gunship, but he can remove Nam-Ek from the playing field. Then maybe if he could get to Supergirl intime. The Flash looked back at Reverse-Flash who made a tick tock sound tapping his wrist like one tapping on a wrist watch.
"The Future isn't going to change itself. Run! Barry, RUN!" Reverse-Flash yells in a dark voice.
The Flash ran over to Nam-Ek catching all the soldiers before they hit the ground then ran on top of an overturned tank and hurled lightning at a missile Nam-Ek tossed at a nearby helicopter. Destroying it and saving everyone's lives.
"Yes…" The Flash said weakly lowering his head taking a breath before he felt a massive hand on the back of his neck tossing him back clear across the ground.
The Flash quickly lifts himself up to see Nam-Ek barreling down at him. The Flash gets up with lightning pulsing off his body. The Flash fired a massive beam of lighting at Nam-Ek who took the attack and kept on walking putting his hands up like a person wading through raging waters.
The Flash stayed in Flash-Time building friction by sliding his right leg back and forth to continue to generate lighting to keep firing at Nam-Ek who kept barreling down at him like an unstoppable juggernaut. The Flash needed to generate more power so he dug deep running to one end of the battle field then back standing parallel where he was unleashing another lighting bolt.
The Flash moved so fast that before his initial beam had run its course he was there with a second as if there were two Flashes but in reality he was moving so fast he created a speed mirage of himself. Nam-Ek's armor splintered into pieces.
The Flash vibrates his entire body through the pieces running up to Nam-Ek vibrating his hand through his chest and killing him, taking him to the ground.
The Flash hunched over breathing hard with time moving normally around him. With Nam-Ek down there was only one chest piece left to remove to save Batman.
The Flash looks up to see the gunship plowing through fighter jets and helicopters while the sides fire beams.
There were some jets and helicopters behind it opening fire but couldn't get through its shields.
The gunship made a b-line for the Batwing and there was nothing the Flash could do, but there might be something Supergirl can do. The Flash races with Batman's life on the line through the battlefield.
Zod stops tumbling across the ground regaining his composure as he leaps up off the ground as Supergirl comes flying around to punch him. Zod strikes first punching her through a passing attack helicopter.
Supergirl stops herself floating in mid-air seeing the helicopter spinning out of control hearing the pilot scream, bringing her out of her violent rage toward Zod. Supergirl flies down catching the helicopter and gently sits it on the ground.
For a brief moment her eyes meet the pilot before him and the chopper explodes, blowing Supergirl back who slides to a stop screaming out in rage after just witnessing a man burn to death in slow motion with Zod walking through the flaming wreckage with an emotionless look on his face.
The Flash slides to a stop from a distance yelling out.
"SUPERGIRL SAVE BATMAN!" The Flash screams out.
Supergirl was about to fly at Zod when she stopped hearing Barry's voice. Supergirl looks over at him then up to see the gunship opening firing on the Batwing trying to evade its attacks.
Supergirl flies high into the air with The Flash and Zod watching her. Zod went to jump after her but The Flash ran circles around him trapping him in a twister of dust and blue lighting.
Supergirl flies down at super speed smashing through the shield and the side of the hall of the ship throwing it off course sliding down in the control room, her eyes turning red. The Kryptonians look alarmed as she unleashes a powerful heat vision at the central control pillar, chair, with its pilot falling out. The gunship turns sideways viering off path as it hits the ground breaking apart and exploding in certain areas as its wreckage and rubble spill across the ground.
Supergirl bursts from the wreckage looking around seeing the batwing was safe in the air then looks over at the massive twister with blue like purple lighting sparking everywhere. Supergirl flies at high speed through the storm in and out landing some powerful shots on the distracted Zod.
As the Flash ran circles he remembered this was one of the ways Supergirl gets killed because Zod hones his senses and counter attacks. Infact a half a dozen attempts flash through The Flashes mind on Zod murdering Supergirl.
The Flash slides to a stop throwing lightning at the back of Zod pushing him forward when he was going to bring up his hands to counter Supergirl's next punch. Instead Zod is shocked forward with Supergirl flying in and punching him through the twister as he goes tumbling across the ground. Supergirl floats in the air with The Flash coming to a stop hunching over exhausted, tired, bruised, severely thirsty, and hungry.
Zod was down on one knee looking up at them surveying the battle around him. His ships were all shot down and in ruins, humans had the beam rifles and were using coordinated attacks to take down and suppress the Kryptonian ground forces. Zod couldn't believe it. He was losing and once again his plans to take a planet was stopped and opposed by someone from the House of El. Zod looks over at Supergirl.
"Look at this." Zod told Supergirl to pick up a pile of dirt holding it out to her with it flowing out of his hand.
"We could have built a new Krypton in this place, but you chose the humans over us." Zod told her removing his helmet and breather.
Zod took a moment to painful try to adjust his senses to Earth's natural ecology like Supergirl did. Supergirl just stares at him with the wind blowing her hair in her face giving her a dark vengeful look.
"It's over Zod! Shut off the World Engine and surrender!" Supergirl demanded.
"I exist only to protect Krypton. That is the sole purpose for which I was born." Zod tells them.
"Krypton is gone! That doesn't give you the right to come to our planet and take it over by wiping us out!" The Flash yells out in rage. Zod just stares at him.
"Every action I take no matter how violent or cruel is for the greater good of my people!" Zod replies to The Flash in a calm emotionless voice.
"But were not Kryptonians! Were HUMAN BEINGS! And I'll do what's for the greater good of MY PEOPLE!" The Flash yells out his lighting turning purple with a purple glow in his eyes.
"I can still get the codex from you Kara and terraform this planet into a new Krypton and we will rebuild with what Kryptonains are left on the World Forger. Krypton…its people…my people…my soul I will not let you take it from me! You will all kneel before ZOD!" Zod said in a cold and dark voice.
Zod races forward punching Supergirl out of the air before she could react. Supergirl smacks and tumbles across the ground dazed and out of it as she rolls over on all fours trying to get up. The Flash races at Zod who merely side steps and trips him. The Flash tumbles across the ground rolling in the dirt before front flipping and hitting the ground.
"I'm going to make them Suffer, Kara. These humans you've adopted." Zod tells her as he stumps toward her.
The Flash gets back to his feet reaching for Farora's blade but it wasn't on him. He looks around but doesn't see it. Must have lost it during the fight with Nam-Ek. Then the Flash remembers the Kryptonite and pulls it out racing toward Zod. Zod catches The Flash by the throat. Zod looks at him then looks over to Supergirl.
"I will take them all from you one by one starting with this one!" Zod tells her.
"NO!" Supergirl struggles to her feet.
The Flash holds up the kryptonite weakening Zod. Supergirl hangs back once she sees the Kryptonite waiting for The Flash to phase it into his body. The Flash phases through Zod's grip then goes to phase the kryptonite into Zod using his right hand but Zod catches his wrist.
The Flash struggles trying to vibe his hand but can't because the pain of Zod crushing his wrist slowly was too great. Zod is taken back as a mere human is loosening his grip on him with his other hand. Zod starts to feel weak but reaches out with his other hand to restrain The Flash's other hand.
The Flash couldn't hold his grip as his right hand unclenched and the Kryptonite started to fall to the ground. Zod saw it and kicked it away with his boot feeling his strength and power return. The Flash tried to pull away but couldn't as he stared at an angry Zod who flung him across the battlefield like a rag doll.
"NO!" Supergirl yells out seeing the Flash hit the ground hard sliding across it not moving…
