Shaking her head, she glared at the soldiers on either side of her. "You're going to regret treating Ah-Un that way."

"I would be more concerned about your own fate," one of them responded, pushing open a set of large doors.

Kagome lifted her chin, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "I'm a friend of Sesshoumaru."

Another soldier snorted. "Lord Sesshoumaru will clear things up."

"And when he confirms what I just told you, sees you've tied me up, and finds out you've harmed his dragon?" she asked, holding up her bound wrists.

The soldier in front of them glanced over his shoulder. "His lordship is not a fan of that beast in the first place. It is not the first time it has escaped its cell."

Sesshoumaru kept Ah-Un in a cell? They were one of Rin's favourite creatures; had he really become so cruel towards someone who had never raised a claw against him?

Suddenly incensed, she quickened her pace, ready to give him a piece of her mind. He couldn't blame this kind of behaviour on his nightmares or insomnia. And if either of those things had gotten so bad that he was mistreated animals, she'd never go back to the den.

Reiki crackling and eyes blazing, she prepared herself to blast him, but as soon as they got into the main room and she looked up at the person sitting on what could only be described as a throne, Kagome nearly collapsed with laughter.

Jaken stood atop an intricate chair, holding his staff and wearing Sesshoumaru's clothes.
