(Earthrealm: Sky Temple)
The thunder god known as Raiden was watching over his chosen Kombatants through the Jinsei Chamber.
The shaolin master, Bo' Rai Cho saw this and stood beside him
Bo' Rai Cho: "They have much promise, Lord Raiden...all they need is guidance."
Raiden looked at him and had a slight smile.
Raiden: "I know...but they are young...and brash."
Bo' Rai Cho: *chuckles* "Never said teaching them is not going ge easy."
Raiden: "Agreed."
(Forest: Early Morning)
A teenager was running through the forest, wearing sunglasses and dodging ice blasts from behind.
The teenager was none other than Johnny Cage, in his fighting gear, which consisted or white cargo pants, a blue and white jacket and boxing wraps, along with blue and white Jordans.
He then slid down a steep hill and flipped into an open area.
He then got into a fighting stance and looked at his pursuer.
The trees and grass started to freeze as the air became chill.
Johnny: *pants* "Dude, can I catch my breath first? You've been chasing me since we got here."
He asks his opponent and friend, Sub-Zero who was wearing a blue hoodie with arm guards, wearing black cargo pants and combat boots, along with his mask.
Sub-Zero: "You ran before the fight started! Now are you ready or not?"
He states getting into his fighting stance and Johnny sighed then did so as well.
Sub-Zero then performed his ice slide, Johnny then ran up and flipped off a tree.
Sub-Zero quickly turned and caught off guard by a roundhouse connecting to his jaw, he then blocked the incoming strike from Johnny and froze him.
He then made an ice hammer and launched Johnny in the air and performed a dive kick, knocking him back to the ground.
Johnny recovered and dodged a side kick and hit Sub-Zero with a rising knee to the face.
Sub-Zero was stunned then was hit with a shadow kick getting knocked down, Johnny then tried hit him with an axe kick but Sub-Zero rolled out of the way.
They then changed at each other but lightning burst in between them.
Raiden: "Enough...training is over."
Sub-Zero and Johnny nodded then they were teleported along with Raiden in a burst of lightning.
(Abandoned Building)
A teenager wearing a red and black leather jacket, black cargo pants and combat boots, along with a blindfold was walking around the building.
This was none other Kenshi Takahashi, he then stopped as a kunai dart went into a pillar, past by his face.
Kenshi: "Dude, sneak attacks don't work on me."
The kunai retracted and it went back to it's owner, Scorpion, wearing his mask with a yellow and black hoodie with baggy pants and combat boots.
Scorpion: "I was testing your senses, they are adequate."
He states then unsheathes his sword and tries to strike at Kenshi who dodged backwards then unsheathed Sento, his family's sword.
Kenshi then telepathically pushed Scorpion back, he then threw Sento at Scorpion who sidestepped the attack.
Sento stopped then came back like a boomerang and it cut at Scorpion's side, as it returned to Kenshi's hand.
Scorpion then flipped over and kicked Kenshi in the back of the head.
Kenshi then tried slashing at Scorpion from behind but he blocked with his sword then unsheathed his other sword and was now duel wielding.
Scorpion then spun around trying to strike Kenshi who blocked and palmed Scorpion in the chest.
Scorpion stumbled back and Kenshi jumped in the air going for a downward slash but was countered and flaming kick to the gut.
Kenshi went flying back then Scorpion threw his kunai, it getting lodged into Kenshi's chest.
Scorpion: "GET OVER HERE!"
He then pulled in Kenshi and hit him a flip kick knocking him down.
Kenshi sat up but felt a sword at his throat.
Scorpion: "I win, Kenshi.
Kenshi: *chuckles* "I almost had you."
Scorpion then sheaths his sword and helps up Kenshi.
In a burst of lightning, Raiden, Sub-Zero and Johnny appeared.
Johnny: "So, who won?"
Sub-Zero: "It was probably Kenshi."
Kenshi: "No, it was Hanzo."
Johnny: "Aha! Pay up!"
Raiden rubbed his eyes then spoke up.
Raiden: "I have business to attend to in Outworld, the others are back at home, I will send you there now...you all have trained well today."
He states then teleports them home, as he then teleports himself to Outworld.
(Los Angeles: Harbor: Cage Family Yacht)
The shaolin monk known as Kung Lao was practicing on a sparring dummy, delivering quick and elegant strikes.
???: "Lao, you good? You've been going at it for a while."
Kung Lao looked and saw Jax, a tall and very built black teenager who hitting a punching bag.
Kung Lao: "I'm fine, just being...proactive."
Jax: *chuckles* "Well, if you keep being proactive, you're going to wear yourself out."
Kung Lao had a small smile then took a sip of his water, then they heard thunder and saw lightning flash.
Kung Lao: "The others are back."
He states and starts making his way up top to the front of the yacht.
Jax sighed and continued hitting the punching bag.
Jax: "Still not getting used to all this magic crap."
(Upper Deck)
Kung Lao made it up top and saw Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny and Kenshi who just arrived.
Kung Lao: "Good to see you my friends, how was the training? And what did Lord Raiden say?"
Johnny yawned and started heading to the living room.
Johnny: "Ehh, basically we did good, and he also had something to do with Outworld."
Kung Lao then looked back at the others.
Kung Lao: "What kind of business?"
Kenshi: "A meeting, but he didn't say much."
He explains then heads to his room on the lower deck.
Scorpion: "Is everyone back?"
Kung Lao: "Yeah, Smoke and Ermac are in the living room, as for Bi-Han...*sighs*"
Kung Lao looks at Sub-Zero, with a knowing expression.
Kung Lao: "I think you need to talk to him, Kuai."
Sub-Zero raised an eyebrow.
Sub-Zero: "What happened?"
Kung Lao: "Nothing, just...make sure he's okay."
Sub-Zero: "Okay, I'll talk with my brother."
He finishes then heads to find his brother.
Scorpion then starts to leave but Kung Lao puts his hand on his shoulder.
Kung Lao: "Remember...we're your friends...if you need to talk, we're here Hanzo."
Scorpion looked at him, with a understanding but regretful expression
Scorpion: "Hanzo Hassashi is dead..."
He states then Kung Lao let's go of him and he walks to his room.
Kung Lao sighs then sits down and looks at the sun then closes his eyes and starts meditating.
(Lower Deck: Noob's Room)
Noob Saibot, formerly known as Bi-Han was looking out his window, attired in all black, sitting on his bed, while flipping his hand-held scythe
Sub-Zero entered and sat down in a chair.
Sub-Zero: "So, what's going on? Kung Lao said I had to talk to you."
Noob stopped flipping his scythe and looked at his little brother.
Noob: "I don't feel anything."
Sub-Zero raised an eyebrow, confused.
Noob: "I feel nothing...no feelings, no rage, no sadness, no...happiness, it's just...nothing, and I hate it."
Sub-Zero then got up and sat down next to his brother.
Sub-Zero: "Bi-Han...Raiden is going to find a way to fix that...if not, then we'll keep looking...together."
He states then raises his fist towards his brother, who nodded and they fist pumped.
(Outworld: Royal Palace)
Raiden had made his way up to the palace steps, and now at its doors, he opened them and walked into the Throne Room.
He was then face to face with the rulers of Outworld, Shao Khan and Queen Sindel.
Raiden: "Emperor Shao Khan, Queen Sindel, what matter have you wanted to consult me with?"
Shao Khan was about to speak but Sindel spoke first.
Sindel: "We would like for our daughters to be sent to Earthrealm under your guide."
Raiden was confused then Shao Khan finally spoke.
Shao Khan: "As you are aware, there are rebellions in Outworld and frequently there gave been attempts on our lives."
Raiden: "I see...you don't want them to be targets...I will prep rooms for them at my temple...you have my word, they will be protected by myself and my Kombatants."
Shao Khan then stood up and walked till he was in front of Raiden.
Shao Khan: "They better...or I will have your head."
Raiden then teleported in a burst of lightning, leaving the rulers of Outworld in the Throne Room.
