Chapter 1: New Friends
It was March 4th, 2021. Two new characters had joined the Smash Ultimate roster for the ultimate battle. These two were Pyra, the kind-hearted, mild-mannered, and soft spoken young woman, and Mythra, the confident, short-tempered, and independent young woman. Many of the fighters(including most of the males) were excited that they were finally joining them.
As soon as they had arrived to the mansion, they were bombarded by the boys and their compliments to them. Any type of compliment you could think of. From their hair, to their eyes, their clothes, etc. Some of the girls were jealous of the two ladies due to having their men "taken' away from them. Zelda and Robin were some examples of them as Link and Chrom seemed to be infatuated by the beauty of the two women. Some men were also expected to hound the two females such as Captain Falcon, Wario, and the "other" perverted male fighters. Needless to say, Pyra found it a bit awkward and tried to diffuse the situation while Mythra just scowled and gave them all the cold shoulder.
Later
Pyra: Well, that was such a warm welcome they gave us. It was a bit overwhelming, haha. What did you think Mythra?
Mythra: glares You kidding me Pyra? Those guys were nothing but perverts! Honestly, this is supposed to be a legendary tournament and we have to put up with these losers? Seriously? That short fat guy and that dude with the stupid helmet on his head were total jokes. I could beat the crap out of both of them easily!
Pyra: Mythra! They weren't perverts! They were just being nice and welcoming.
Mythra: Are you serious Pyra? Did you not hear their compliments and see how they were looking at us?!
Pyra: W-well..I-maybe they were just being VERY nice...hehe..
Mythra looked unamused
Pyra: ...okay maybe they were a bit TOO friendly..
Mythra: hmph. ya think?
Pyra: But we should still try to be nice! The girls here and the...uh...animals seem nice.
Mythra: Tch, the only one that's piqued my interest so far is that lettuce haired goddess...everyone else just looks so boring and weak
Pyra: Mythra! Be nice!
Mythra: Hmph! Whatever.
As Pyra and Mythra were walking to find their rooms, they were facing eachother while talking that they didn't see someone about to run into them
CRASH!!!!
Pyra and Mythra fell to the ground as they crashed into whatever was coming at them
Pyra: U-ugh..Mythra..you okay..?
Mythra, who was clearly even more irritated by this situation, grunted in response
Mythra: Hey! Watch where the hell your going! These hallways are narrow and we don't have the time nor space to get out of the way!
Pyra and Mythra look down and see who they crashed into. it was a girl that looked around their physical age with long silver hair who wore a black headband and silver armor. She also had some type of cloth on and she was barefoot
?: Owwww...wha-?
The girl looked up and saw the two ladies she crashed into. She then got embarrassed and jumped up and bowed
?: A-ah crap! I-I'm so sorry! I heard the new fighters were here so I-I was gonna greet them but I lost track of time! I-I still need to go greet them! S-so sorry again!
The girl was about to run off but Mythra grabbed her by the collar
?: ACK!
Mythra: We are the new fighters, you idiot.
Pyra: Mythra! I said be nice!
The girl then turned around and looked them up and down
?: Huh, come to think of it. I've never seen you girls before...
The girl started to think long
?: Oh! You girls are the new fighters, aren't you?
Pyra sweatdrops at this while Mythra just scoffs
Mythra: You run fast but your brain is slow
Pyra: Mythra!
?: W-well it's nice to meet you girls!
The girl then smiles brightly and introduces herself
Corrin: My name is Corrin! I'm the princess of Nohr which is the kingdom I grew up in. How about you two?
Pyra: Wait, Corrin?
Mythra: Yea, what the hell? We just met a Corrin downstairs that looks just like you, but he's a boy.
Corrin: Oh, you must be talking about my other self. Yea, he's from another universe that's exactly like mine. I just think of him as my big brother though.
Pyra: I see, well, my name is Pyra.
Mythra: huffs Mythra
Pyra: We're also known as the Aegis!
Corrin tilted her head in confusion
Corrin: The..Aegis?
Pyra: Well, you see-
Mythra then pushes Pyra aside
Mythra: Hmph. Let the TRUE Aegis explain
Pyra just pouts with an exasperated look
Pyra: thinking I wish she'd be more nicer to her SISTER
Mythra: We aren't humans. We are classified as blades
Corrin: Blades? But, you look like humans! You don't look like swords.
Mythra: facepalms Not actual swords, you dimwit
Pyra: Mythra, explain it to her.
Mythra: sigh okay, your brain better keep up with what I'm telling you.
Pyra: Mythra!
Mythra then explains everything about blades and "The Aegis"
Mythra: …I think that just about covers everything. What do you-
Mythra looked over and saw Corrin with steam coming out of her ears, looking very confused. This causes Mythra to groan and facepalm
Mythra: I knew it was a waste of time explaining to such a stupid girl!
Pyra: Mythra! She just needs to process it. You fed her a lot of info!
Mythra: Yea, well that's the only thing I'm ever spoon-feeding to her. If you want to spoon-feed her, fine! I'm out. I'm gonna find the room because I'm tired!
Mythra then walks off to find the room
Pyra: Hey Mythra! sigh
Corrin: What's her deal?
Pyra: She's not usually this rude...but...let's just say her and our driver had a bit of conflict.
Corrin: Drivers...they help you guys live, right?
Pyra: Yes. Oh hey! You did learn! See, I knew you could do it!
Corrin smiles proudly
Corrin: It wasn't that hard.
Pyra smiles but then gets a bit upset
Pyra: I just hope she doesn't act this way the whole time we're here. I know she won't listen to me, whatever I say.
Corrin: What happened?
Pyra hesitates but spills
Pyra: W-well, our driver fell in love with me but he rejected Mythra..
Corrin: ohhh, I see...
Pyra: Yea, she hasn't taken the rejection too well...
Pyra whispers to Corrin
Pyra: I think she's pretty upset with me too..
Corrin gets an idea
Corrin: I bet I could try and make her happy again!
Pyra: Huh? You want to try cheering Mythra up? I don't know Corrin, if she doesn't listen to me when she's like this, what makes you think you'll be able to crack her?
Corrin smiles proudly
Corrin: Heh, I'll just have to be a "pest" toward her
Pyra: A...pest?
Corrin: Yup, I'll pester her the whole time she's here and I will make her feel better, I promise!
Pyra: You would do that for me? I really don't want her to be rude to everyone
Corrin: Don't you worry. I'm sure I can handle it.
Pyra smiles
Pyra: Thank you, Corrin. I'm glad I can count on you.
Corrin: No problem! I can't wait. This'll be fun!
Later, Pyra finds her room and enters it to find Mythra lying on the bed on her side of the room. Mythra glances over and then looks back to her phone. Pyra sighs
Pyra: You know, it was pretty rude to just up and leave like that.
Mythra: Tch, I don't care. I was tired.
Pyra looks down, upset
Pyra: Mythra...I-I'm sorry..
Mythra: Hm? What?
Pyra: I'm sorry about...Rex..
Mythra then stiffens
Pyra: I-I thought he liked you too but-
Pyra jumps as Mythra throws her phone to the ground in anger. Mythra then jumps off the bed and glares at Pyra
Mythra: Would you shut the hell up about that? Drop the damn topic.
Pyra: B-but...you're still upset! You have to get over it Mythra! You'll-
Mythra then grits her teeth and hits the side of her bed, hard. This made a loud boom sound which caused Pyra to jump, her heart dropping a bit.
Mythra: Shut. Up.
Mythra groans
Mythra: I can't be in the same room as you right now. I'm going out. Don't. Follow. Me.
Mythra then slammed the door shut, leaving Pyra who was on the verge of tearing up. She felt extremely guilty as she truly believed that she was the source of Mythra's hostility
With Mythra
Mythra sighed as she took a walk to the kitchen
Mythra: That freaky hand guy told me they had Cloud Sea Crab Sticks here. I'll just eat those and cool off.
Mythra then thinks about her outburst with Pyra
Mythra: thinking I know it's not her fault but...why'd it have to be her..
Mythra was about to tear up but she then stopped herself. As Mythra was walking toward the kitchen, she heard someone eating in the kitchen. She decided to peek over the corner of the wall to see who it was. It was Corrin. She was eating what seemed to be a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Mythra just sighed with irritation and walked in
Mythra: What the hell are you doing?
Corrin jumped and turned to Mythra
Corrin: Oh geez! You scared me Mothra!
Mythra wanted to kill her
Mythra: Its. Mythra.
Corrin covers her mouth
Corrin: O-oh, oops. S-sorry Mythra.
Mythra: Yea whatever.
Mythra walked over to the fridge and opened it to look for the cloud sea crab sticks, only to find there were none left
Mythra: What the hell?!
Mythra looked everywhere and couldn't find them
Mythra: Where the hell are the Cloud Sea Crab Sticks?!
Mythra then hears a tiny burp and glances at Corrin who was sweating bullets. Mythra was now 100% pissed. Mythra then turned around and grabbed Corrin by the collar and spoke to her in a dark voice
Mythra: Did you eat all of them...you pig?
Corrin looked afraid
Corrin: N-no! I-I don't even know what that is!
Mythra pushes her a bit and they both watch as half a Cloud Sea Crab Stick falls out of Corrin's pocket and onto the floor
Mythra: No crab sticks...huh?
Corrin: U-um...
Corrin then quickly picks the crab stick off the ground
Corrin: 5 SECOND RULE!
Corrin then turns around to Mythra
Corrin: Would you still like it? It's not dirty at all. These floors are clean, I eat off them all the time!
Corrin smiled while Mythra just looked disgusted
Mythra: I'm not a pig like you
Corrin gasps and pouts
Corrin: I am not a pig!
Mythra snaps back
Mythra: Oh yea?! Who the hell ate all the Cloud Sea Crab Sticks and who just admitted they eat off the floor?!
Corrin: …fair. But, it's not a big deal. Come on, I feel bad for eating them all. If I had known you'd like them, I would've been more considerate but you left before I got to learn anymore about you!
Mythra tries to respond back with a snarky comeback but she had nothing because she knows Corrin was correct.
Mythra: sigh y'know what, fine. Thank you, Corrin. Now, hand it over.
Mythra reaches out for it but Corrin kneels on her chair to reach Mythra's face. Corrin then holds out the snack to Mythra's mouth
Corrin: Say ahh~
Mythra took a while to process what was happening before blushing madly and stumbling backwards
Mythra: W-WHAT THE HELL, CORRIN?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!
Mythra was so caught off guard by this that she had no clue how to react. Corrin just giggled like crazy and placed the snack on her plate. She then walked past Mythra
Corrin: There's your Cloud Sea Crab Stick. Hehe, y'know what Mythra, I think we're gonna be good friends here! I'll see you around!
Corrin then leaves the kitchen, leaving Mythra in her thoughts
Mythra: thinking W-what the hell was that? Why the hell did Corrin do that? W-was that a joke or did she really mean what she was doing? Why am I blushing so much?? WHY CAN'T MY HEART STOP BEATING!?!?
Mythra then sat up and walked over to the table after recollecting herself. She then sees the Cloud Sea Crab Stick that Corrin left on the table. She could see that Corrin took another little nibble on the snack. Mythra just sighed and sat down, taking a bite out of the Crab Stick in the same spot Corrin did. Mythra then realizes what she does and blushes again while groaing.
Mythra: Ugh...why'd she have to go and call me her friend? And...why does she make me feel this way...ARRRGH!!! DAMMIT!
While Mythra sat there, feeling confused and irritated about her conflicted feelings for Corrin, Mythra had no idea how close her and Corrin would become in the future...
A/N: My first story in a while. I was writing Sonic's Fairytail(Sonic x Fairytail Crossover story) but I haven't watched Fairytail in a while so I put it on hiatus. I will come back to it though. I'm focusing more on this story now. I've kinda thought a Mythra x Corrin(female) pairing fanfic would be fun to make. Also, Corrin does not act how she canonically does so, yea. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it. It's a short chapter, but next chapter will definitely be longer!
