In a world where superpowers were the norm, what would you do if you had the power to take and give any powers you desired?

So many possibilities…and yet so often, evil and pain comes from such a Quirk.

For one man, he would use it to amass a vast criminal empire that shrouded the entire country of Japan in darkness for many years before finally being overthrown by a brave hero with a sacred power entrusted to him.

But this is not that man's story. No, this is the story of a boy...a boy who only wishes to do good in the world. A boy who will find himself bearing this power...and who will do his best to use it for the good of all.

The sun was setting in the district of Musutafu in Japan. In a nice modest house, a family was minding their own business. The mother was cooking, the father was watching the news on television, the daughter was chatting with her friends on her phone and the son was in his room, getting ready.

Now what was he getting ready for, you might ask? Well, let's just say this boy had a great responsibility thrust onto him. One that he vowed to uphold above all else.

He put on a dark green hoodie with a big smile printed on the back, black slacks, black running boots with green laces, a black face mask over his nose and mouth, and a pair of black sunglasses over his eyes. Once he was completely assembled, he looked at himself in the mirror before taking out a note and writing something before leaving it on his desk and climbing out the window before somehow running on air until he reached the nearest rooftop, which he ran across as he made his way into the city.

"Izuku? Are you there?" The mother, Inko, asked as she came inside before finding the note on his desk and reading it.

'Just once around the city. No more than an hour. Love, Izuku.'

A frown crossed her soft beautiful face as she looked out the window with worry.

"Be safe..."

The boy continued running across the rooftops expertly jumping across them like a ninja before eventually stopping and overlooking the city he called home. The setting sun painted a lovely picture but alas, it hid many ugly secrets that he was determined to expose.

"HELP!"

Feeling a pulsing in his brain, the boy zeroed in on the source to find a young woman being ganged up on by three unsavory men. Frowning behind his mask, the boy quickly ran toward the scene of the crime in progress and hid in the shadows to prepare his move.

"Come on girly, we just wanna play with ya..." The leader of the trio leered, licking his forked snake-like tongue.

"You might enjoy this, so don't try and struggle, K?" A rotund but muscular member said, showing sharp teeth.

Deciding to make his move, the boy quickly landed down near the creeps, quickly catching their attention.

"And who are you, punk?" The leader growled. "Shoo! Don't you know this is our private time?!"

"Yeah, who do you think you are, brat?!" Sneered the third of the group, a lanky, rat-faced man with clawed hands.

Now it was either overconfidence or stupidity that the rat-faced member of the would-be-rapists immediately lunged at the mysterious hooded figure to try and beat him down, only to be caught by the face and stop in his tracks as he suddenly began screaming in agony.

After a few agonizing seconds, the man fell backward, taking massive gulps of air with a traumatized look on his face, as if something had been ripped out of his core being.

"M-My Quirk...y-you..."

The boy looked at his hand, which began sparking with black and green lightning which he snuffed out with a clenched fist. He then turned to glare at the man with a look of scorn behind his mask and shades.

"Your Quirk is [Convenience], it allows you to summon any small object for your convenience." The boy said in a calculating tone, a hint of anger at what he now had….. "Any Quirk can be heroic or villainous depending on the user...but you chose to use it to aid your scum friends in assaulting innocent people."

"How do you know what his Quirk can do, punk?!" The fat muscular member of the trio asked.

"Simple...I took it."

The trio of punks were horrified at this revelation. This allowed the woman they were threatening to quickly run away, taking one last look behind her at the young man who saved her before getting to safety.

"You three are the worst kind of people; threatening those who can't defend themselves and thinking you can do whatever the hell you want with your powers. Even the Meta Liberation Army would hate you guys for misusing your own gifts in such repulsive ways." The boy said as he calmly approached the shaking trio. "None of you deserve the Quirks you were given."

The fat muscular member was now shaking even more before turning tail and trying to run...only for thread-like strings to come out of the boy's fingers and pull him in before he grabbed the back of his head and did the same thing to him as his rat-faced colleague.

"Your Quirk is [Consumption], it allows you to consume anything and spit it back out, essentially giving you as pocket dimension in your stomach to store a near-unlimited number of things...yet another power squandered on disgusting scum."

The leader of the trio was shaking, anger clear in his eyes. How dare this brat insult him and his mates when they're just doing what they want with the Quirks they were given and now they didn't even have that.

"Screw you, kid! Who the hell do you think you are?!"

The leader lunged, using his own Quirk to turn his arms into scaled reptilian claws which he prepared to use to rip the hooded boy to shreds...only for him to duck and weave underneath before turning his arm into a giant black fist and punch him square in the back, his spine snapping from the force as he was sent into several trash cans.

"Who do I think I am? Simple...I'm Retribution."

As the man tried to get back up, he was grabbed by the back of the head and slammed into the ground before feeling his own Quirk ripped out of him. Screaming in pain and sorrow as he felt a piece of his own soul leaving him, his tongue turning more human-like in the process.

"Hmmm...[Lizard Morph], allows you to transform parts or all of your body into a reptilian beast, granting you various superhuman physical characteristics and reptilian-based powers...you could have easily used this to become a Hero, you know. All of you could have."

The boy addressed the three goons, all of them curled up in pain both physical and psychological as he knew the police and Pro Heroes would be arriving soon. He then walked up the side of the wall, seemingly defying physics as he put his hands in his pockets.

"Good day to you all. I hope you three rot in jail where you belong."

Somewhere else in Japan, an important but lowkey meeting was taking place over coffee at a local café.

Toshinori Yagi AKA All-Might, the #1 Hero in not only Japan but the world, was visiting his best friend, Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi on one of his few days off.

"So, why did you want to see me here?" Toshi asked. "As great as it is to see you, I highly doubt you wanted to just clink a few mugs."

Naomasa sighed.

"I'm sorry Toshi. But it was either me today, or Nighteye and or the HPSC tomorrow."

The skeletal man frowned. He and Nighteye hadn't talked in years, for him to break that vow either meant Nighteye finally understood what being the Symbol of Peace was (unlikely but the most wanted reason; brilliant as Mirai was his tunnel vision and cynism did him no favors) or it was really bad (far more likely).

"What is it?"

The police detective pulled out a file and let out a sigh.

"In Musutafu, there's a new vigilante going around. No name yet, occasionally he shows up outside of the city, but one thing is certain: He takes away the Quirks of the criminals he fights."

….

….

The world went silent.

'Takes away the Quirks.'

'Takes away the Quirks.'

There was only ONE Quirk that had that kind of power: The source of nightmares for many, not just All Might. Someone the legendary pro SWORE he had killed a few years ago!

"Before you start panicking, there is some good news: This guy's also been giving Quirks to random people, actually helping improve their lives."

That reminded All Might of how the villain he loathed above all else started building his empire…

"From what the witnesses have mentioned; the Quirks they've been given help negate the problems of their original: Overheating, stamina issues, lack of healing factors, that kind of stuff. Either that, or they were Quirkless."

"And what does this vigilante ask for in return?" Toshinori asked, looking for the catch.

"Nothing." Naomasa explained. "Absolutely nothing. Once they use the Quirk for the first time, he often runs off. No thanks given, no pictures or videos….Altough, we DID arrest one formerly Quirkless and then Quirkless again: Apparently, he DOES keep track of those he helps and learnt one had gone on a rampage he stopped. The guy said that the guy had said, and I quote:"

The detective cleared this throat and did his best 'Batman' impression:

"You were belittled and bullied and when given power, do it to others? I gave you that Quirk to help you and for you to help others. But instead, you harm others? If you do that, you are not worth it."

A sip of tea was needed after that line.

"And then the quirk reappeared in a child a few days later."

The skeletal man sighed as he stared at his tea. Whoever this mysterious Vigilante was, they were clearly using their power for a much more nobler cause than HIM. However, the Symbol of Peace needed to be vigilant all the same. He didn't know if it was a ploy to get him to drop his guard, after all. He'd just have to keep posted and see what comes next.

The hooded young man returned home as soon as night fell. Taking off his hoodie, sunglasses, mask, pants, and shoes, he walked into the kitchen where his parents and twin sister were waiting for him.

"Hey, Izu-Nii!" A beautiful cute teenage girl with adorable freckles, fluffy dark green hair with a yellow bow, and shining jade eyes greeted her brother as he smiled and sat down.

Izuku Midoriya was a young lad. Like his sister, Izumi, he also had a bush of dark green hair and freckles dotting soft cheeks as well as shimmering emerald eyes. He then beamed when his mother set down his favorite food; Katsudon.

"So...how goes the Musutafu Crime Blotter?" His father, Hisashi, asked. He had unruly black hair, a five o'clock shadow, and onyx-colored eyes.

"Not calling myself that, dad. And not too bad, just stopped a trio of rapists from assaulting a girl," Izuku said as he ate. "Don't worry, they won't be using their Quirks any time soon."

"I just wish you'd stop this reckless Vigilantism..." His mother, Inko, worriedly said. She was a plump yet adorable woman with dark green hair and forest-green eyes. "I know you want to be a Hero, but you know there are laws, Izuku."

"I know." Izuku sighed; as much as he wanted to help people, he never wanted to disappoint his family.

"Stupid laws." Izumi grumbled. "Need a license to use your own Quirk? For combat, yeah I get. But what about life and death situations, like…?"

"Izumi." Her father forcefully said before composing himself. "Sweetheart. We all agree. You know we do. Just…live and bear it."

"And that kind of thinking is why nii-san was in homeschool for so long." The girl reminded her family.

The mood at the table dulled and soured: The parents remembering sending their children off to school for the first time, only for Izuku to come home three hours later with a note:

'To Mr. and Mrs. Midoriya,

Your son is a hopeless boy. We cannot in good conscious accept him, least he steal the Quirks of his classmates and teachers. On the back on the sheet is a list of home-school programs.

Sincerely yours,

Mr. Shimura

Musutafu Elementary, first grade'

It hadn't been until a year ago that they had been able to fight the motoion, with some much-appreciated help from the Bakugo family: Something about 'dirty, lonely repressed men' and 'Mitsuki having too much fun and enjoying Masaru going all protective'….

In hindsight, it was probably better the kids didn't know….

Izuku himself had just been eating, savoring his mother's always decadent Katsudon; the perfect breading on the juicy chicken, the sauce on the rice and just right amount of veggies accompanied by freshly brewed tea…

(A/N: Well, I know what I'm having for lunch now!)

"Izumi, its fine." He tried to assure his sister. "I look at it this way: You're going to UA, become great…and I'll either be in the shadows tackling what the heroes are afraid of or become the 'villain' who makes your career. Lord know I…"

"Don't." Inko cut off. "Sweetie, please, never say that again."

"Izu, what happened was not your fault. You know that. We know that., Katsuki, Mitsuki and Masa know."

"I know." Izuku smiled. "And that's enough for me. Sadly, not for the HPSC and hero schools."

"Oh stop it. Everyone and their mother knows that the HPSC are moronic bureaucrats." Hisashi grumbled. "They wouldn't know a perspective proper hero candidate if it got pounded up their asses with a jackhammer."

"HISASHI!" Inko slapped her husband, a slight blush on her face.

"What? What I say?" Hisashi asked, honesyly confused. "I was thinking about that Danjuro kid I offered to represent: Sure, he's sharp as a wet noodle, but had the heart and OOOOOOOH! Oh! Honey, kids I am so, so sorry!"

The twins didn't seem to understand what was going on so forgave their father and continued eating.

It wasn't too bad a life for Izuku Midoriya: Sure, he could never be a hero, but he had his family, friends and illegal as it was, his vigilante actions kept him fit and filled his dream.

That was enough for him.

"Are you sure, Doctor? They don't have their Quirks anymore?" A mysterious voice asked in a dimly-lit underground hospital room as a rotund old man with a bushy mustache and goggles looked over the recent news.

"Yes, Sensei. All three of them. Rather simplistic Quirks but useful if used correctly...and whoever this Vigilante is, he took them, if what they are saying is any indication."

The mysterious voice hummed in displeasure. "Could it really be...I thought she died...My dear Kamiko...but if her descendants are alive then surely..."

"Ah, yes, Kamiko. She truly was your better half back in the day, old friend." The doctor hummed. "It would seem my theory was true after all, the Midoriya Family is indeed descended from your old flame."

"But the baby...I thought it had died in birth with her..."

"I don't wish to upset you, my friend, but it's very clear to me she must have had the hospital fake the child's death in order to hide it from you. Not that I can really blame them, of course." The doctor muttered. "Still, do you think we should go after them? Stage a little family reunion?"

"No need..." The voice sighed. "Just keep an eye on that boy, Izuku, for now...and his sister, for good measure. Her Quirk is just as powerful. I'm interested to see what comes from this..."

The next day, at Aldera Junior High, Izuku and Izumi were sitting in class, just getting through the day as usual.

"Oy, Deku!" Barked a gruff voice. "Those stolen Quirk cases last night. That was you wasn't it?"

The voice belonged to a tough-looking young man with ash-blonde hair and crimson eyes. Luckily, he had whispered it to Izuku, so nobody else in class could hear.

"Yes, Kaachan, it was just some rapists, an attempted kidnapper, and some punk extorting a family." Izuku sighed. "I kept three of the Quirks and gave the other two to people who deserved them more."

That brought a smile to the boy's face: It was truly a delight to see someone's eyes light up when they realized they had a new and often, to them, awesome Quirk. Especially when they were often younger children, who'd swear to use the Quirk to become heroes that he felt he never could.

Besides, Izuku wagered he probably wasn't ever going to use his entire arsenal, so this way nothing went to waste.

"You're starting to get bolder, Deku." Katsuki Bakugou said as he sat in his own desk. "Sooner or later, people are gonna start seeing you as dangerous. You really want All-Might or Eraserhead on your ass?"

"What choice do I have, Kaachan?" Izuku rhetorically asked with narrowed eyes. "You were there that day just as any. There's no way I can allow myself to be a Hero with a power as dangerous as mine."

"But you've done a lot of damn good with it, you stupid nerd!" Katsuki snapped. "You saved my fucking ass all those years ago. We'd BOTH be dead if you didn't do what you did!"

"Doesn't make it any less wrong..." Izuku said. "There's still blood on my hands."

"Izu-Nii..." Izumi sadly said. She was also there that fateful night and ever since then, she had watched her brother tear himself up over it ever since.

Soon, the homeroom teacher came into the class. Katsuki sighed as he sat at his desk, kicking his feet up like a delinquent as the lesson began. However, he kept a stern but worried glare toward Izuku, refusing to let go of the discussion. It'd have to wait for later, of course...

Despite Izuku's best efforts, the life of a Hero would still find its way to him. No matter how hard he convinced himself he was unworthy of the title, fate would decree that he be chosen as one to help guide the world of heroics into a new golden age...and it would all begin one fateful day...

Knightmare Lord A/N:

With all of Mrotrax's amazing BNHA stories, I've noticed he doesn't have an Izuku Gets All For One story yet. He did have plans but could never put them into words until now. Luckily, as one of his main co-writers, I've taken it upon myself to set this up for him.

Already, we see some changes here; Izuku is moonlighting as a Vigilante, stealing the Quirks of villains and other unsavory people. He has a twin sister, Izumi, who has her own powerful Quirk we'll showcase later, and Katsuki is still his friend in this world.

Also, it seems the Midoriyas are descended from All For One, which is why Izuku has his Quirk. We'll delve deeper into the lore as we continue the story, but I hope this is a nice taste of what's to come.

Anything you'd like to add, Mrotrax?

Mrotrax A/N:

Thanks for a great first chapter as usual, buddy!

Indeed, I had wanted, at some point, to try my hands at an 'Izuku with All for One.' But since I couldn't find anything to help it stand out from the rest, I tossed that idea aside until Knightmare Lord made some excellent suggestions and offered to help.

As you can see, while Izuku is something of a 'hurt badass', he maintains his sweet and intelligent side, as we aim to keep that as much as possible. He also is smart and ruthless enough to TAKE BACK quirks if those he gives them to abuse them, although luckily this has only happened once.

To clear up a few things that are not likely to be explained otherwise:

Izuku's anger at 'Convenience' comes from how its like his mother Inko's attraction and yet this scumbag uses it for crime. I reckon some of you caught onto that, but just wanted to make sure.

The somewhat funny moment between Inko and Hisashi (here a criminal defense lawyer instead of an overseas worker) is a hint at their…ahem….love life. Sorry.

Finally, no bashing of Sir Nighteye was intended or planned for this story.

Next time, we see a little more of Izuku's life both aside from and as part of his vigilante actions. Hint: True Companions/Nakama in coming!

On the matter of compainion….suggestions for Izuku's love interest in this story would be welcomed and appreciated.

Until we see each other again!
