The 12th Doctors life is ending, and as many of his lives have ended before, he's in the Tardis, collecting his thoughts on this life. And all the hopes he has for the next one in line.

The Doctor, Rose, and Jack are being attacked by the family. To hide the Doctor must turn human. But what happens when the human doctor (aka John Smith) does something the doctor did a long time ago; falls in love with Rose Tyler.

In a case of mistaken identity the Doctor and Clara must pretend to be married, or face execution. Will they also face up to how they really feel about one another? A story about things that are more than skin deep.
