Chapter 06: The Ka of Kul Elna, Diabound

Kul Elna – Atem vs Bakura

Both Atem and Bakura stared each other down while Yuya was incapacitated and pressuring his wound. Hasan was holding Yusho back while Mana and Mahad were unconscious.

"I'm going first!" Atem declared. "I discard one card from my hand to Special Summon the Tricky (ATK: 2000, LV: 5)!" Atem summoned a monster dressed like a jester. "I set one card and end my turn!"

Bakura LP: 8000, Hand: 5

"My turn! Draw!" Bakura drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Cost Down! By sending one card from my hand to the Graveyard, the Levels of all monsters in my hand are reduced by two! Therefore, I can summon the Level 5 Diabound Kernal without a release! Appear! Diabound Kernal (ATK: 1800, LV: 5)!" Bakura summoned a white skinned fiend with the top of a genie and the bottom of a snake.

"Next, from my hand, I activate the Equip Magic: Spirit Illusion! This card allows me to Special Summon a Doppelganger Token with the same attributes as the monster equipped with it!" Another token appeared.

"This token is also able to use the Monster Effect of the monster that is equipped with Spirit Illusion! I activate the Doppelganger Token's effect!" The token shrouded the tricky in darkness.

"What is this?" Atem questioned.

"Diabound Kernal's effect allows it to become an Equip Card to a monster! It decreases that monster's Attack Points equal to Diabound Kernal's! Therefore, the Tricky loses 1800 Attack Points!" Bakura revealed as the Tricky got weaker.

Tricky (ATK: 2000→200)

"Battle! Diabound Kernal, attack the Tricky!" Diabound Kernal unleashed his attack and it destroyed the Tricky and damaging Atem.

Atem LP: 8000→6400

"I activate my Trap Card: Dig of Destiny! Since I took Battle Damage, I can draw one card!" Atem drew one card.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Bakura finished his turn.

Bakura LP: 8000, Hand: 1

"My turn! Draw!" Atem drew his card. "From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: The Eye of Timaeus! This card allows me to Fusion Summon using this card and a Black Magician monster in my hand or field! I fuse the Eye of Timaeus with Black Magician Girl!"

"Legendary Dragon of Atlantis! Unite with the student of the black mage and create a new power to fight evil! Fusion Summon! Appear! Dragon Knight Black Magician Girl (ATK: 2600, LV: 7)!" Black Magician Girl was now wearing an armor and sword while riding on the back of a large teal dragon.

"I activate Dragon Knight Black Magician Girl's Monster Effect! By discarding one card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can destroy one card on the opponent's field and destroy it!" Timaeus unleashed his breath attack towards Diabound.

"Continuous Trap: Kul Elna Barrier! Upon this card's activation, I must send my entire hand to the Graveyard!" Bakura discarded his last card. "With this, Diabound cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects!" Diabound was protected from a shield of dead souls.

"Go! Dragon Knight Black Magician Girl, attack Diabound Kernal! Black Dragon Burst!" Both Timaeus and Black Magician Girl combined their attacks but the barrier protected Diabound.

"I cannot destroy your monster, but you will still take damage!" Atem pointed out and Bakura skid backwards.

Bakura LP: 8000→6400

"Hm? You took more damage?" Atem noticed. The difference between their monsters was only supposed to be 800 points.

"I paid an additional price for my Continuous Trap." Bakura grunted. "I can prevent it from being removed from the field in exchange for doubling all battle and effect damage."

"I set one card and end my turn!" Atem finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Bakura drew his card. "At this moment, my Equip Magic: Spirit Illusion summons another Doppelganger Token!" Another Diabound Token appeared. "I activate the Token's effect!" The second Diabound went to Black Magician Girl and Timaeus, making them weaker.

Dragon Knight Black Magician (ATK: 2600→800)

"This combo again." Atem thought.

"Diabound, attack Black Magician Girl!" Bakura ordered.

"This time, I'm prepared! I activate my Trap Card: Magical Silk Hat! This card allows me to choose two Magic or Trap cards from my deck as well as one monster on my field and set them as Normal Monsters in face-down Defense Position and shuffled them!" Atem played his set card.

Three hats appeared on the field and one of them covered Black Magician Girl and Timaeus and it got shuffled with the other hats.

"Tch…what a cheap trick." Bakura grumbled. "But I have to end this Duel quickly, I have to revive before Genesis gets here."

"Diabound attack the center hat!" Diabound unleashed his attack and it destroyed the hat. The hats lifted upwards to reveal that Black Magician Girl and Timaeus were okay. "Damn it!" Bakura cursed. "I set one card and end my turn!"

"My turn! Draw!" Atem drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Pot of Greed! I draw two cards!" Atem drew two cards.

"Bakura's Diabound is protected thanks to his Continuous Trap: Kul Elna Barrier. And Spirit Illusion will summon another token during his turn and he'll use its effect to weaken my monster. But thanks to Magical Silk Hat, if I damage him more than he can damage me, I can win this Duel! Alright!" Atem had a strategy.

"I release Dragon Knight Black Magician Girl!" Atem declared. "I'm sorry."

Black Magician Girl and Timaeus nodded as they knew it was the right decision for Atem to release them and they vanished.

"Appear! Apprentice Illusion Magician (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Atem summoned a dark-skinned version of Black Magician Girl. "Since I have a Spellcaster-type monster on my field! I can Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Coconut Magician Girl (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Atem summoned a small female magician wearing the hat of a coconut.

"I'm Tuning my Level 6 Apprentice Illusion Magician with my Level 1 Coconut Magician Girl!" Coconut Magician Girl turned into a single green ring and Apprentice Illusion Magician flew through them.

"Magician with skin as white as snow, shine down on this dark place and illuminate the darkness! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 7! Chromatic Illusion Magician (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Atem summoned a magician in yellow-green robes and had pure white skin.

"A Synchro Summon this time. So, you weren't just sitting around on your throne." Bakura got ticked off.

"As Pharaoh, I must continue to grow stronger for my country! Battle! Chromatic Magician, attack Diabound Kernal! Chromatic Magic!" Chromatic Magician fired a blast from his wand.

"My Kul Elna's Barrier protects my monster from destruction!" Bakura shouted.

"But you take double damage!" Atem pointed out as Bakura grunted in pain.

"I end my turn!" Atem finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Bakura drew his card. "I activate my Pot of Greed!" Bakura drew two new cards. "My Spirit Illusion's effect! I Special Summon another Doppelganger token!" Another Diabound appeared.

"At this moment, Chromatic Illusion Magician's effect activates! When my opponent Special Summons a monster, that monster's summon is negated and destroyed!" Chromatic Illusion Magician unleashed a spell at the token and destroyed it.

"Damn you." Bakura cursed. "But I still have a way to deal with you! I activate the Magic Card: Dead Souls of Power! This card can only be equipped to an Fiend-type monster! It doubles that monster's Attack Points!" Diabound grew in power.

Diabound (ATK: 1800→3600)

"3600 Attack Points…" Atem started to sweat.

"Battle Diabound, attack Chromatic Magician!" Diabound unleashed its spell and destroyed Chromatic Magician and damaged Atem.

Atem LP: 6400→5300

"Next, from my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Diabound Second Blast! When Diabound destroys a monster in battle, it's allowed to make a second attack! Diabound! Direct Attack Atem!" Diabound unleashed its attack and knocked Atem off his feet.

Atem LP: 5300→1700

"With this, I end my turn!" Bakura smiled with pride.

"A-Atem…" Yuya got worried for his friend but he couldn't do a thing.

"Please endure it, my Pharoah." Hasan looked at Atem without letting go of Yusho.

At the side, Mana and Mahad were still unconscious but their expression was that of concern and worry. "Pharoah…" Mahad muttered.

"Prince…" A tear fell down Mana's eye.

Atem grunted as he got back to his feet. "Oh, you're still willing to fight even after all the punishment delivered onto you?" Bakura questioned.

Bakura LP: 5000, Hand: 0

"I won't give up…" Atem grunted. "My friends need me. For their sake, I won't lose! My turn! Draw!" Atem drew his card. "I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Spell Textbook! By discarding all cards in my hand, I draw one card and reveal it! If that card is a Magic Card, I can activate it!" Atem drew his card.

"I drew the Magic Card: Treasure Cards of the Heavens! Both players draw until they have six cards in their hands!" Both Atem and Bakura drew six cards. "They're here."

"I activate the Magic Card: Ancient Rules! This lets me Special Summon a Level 5 or higher Normal Monster without releasing! Appear! My strongest servant! Black Magician (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Atem summoned his ace.

"Next, from my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Black Magic Veil! I pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon one Dark Spellcaster-type monster from my hand!" Atem grunted as he paid Life Points.

Atem LP: 1700→700

"Come forth! Magician of Black Illusion (ATK: 2100, LV: 7)!" Atem summoned a magician made out of illusions.

"I Overlay my Level 7 Black Magician and Magician of Black Illusion!" The two monsters turned into purple lights and entered the spacelike portal in front of Atem.

"Magician of Black Magic! Dwell into the arts of illusion and distort reality! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 7! Ebon Illusion Magician (ATK: 2500, RNK: 7, OVU: 2)!" Atem summoned the Xyz Magician.

"I activate Ebon Illusion Magician's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can Special Summon a Normal Spellcaster-type monster form my hand or deck! Appear from my deck! Trance the Magic Swordsman (ATK: 2600, LV: 6)!" Atem summoned a swordsman with magic.

"No matter how many monsters you summon, even with double the damage, Diabound cannot be destroyed and my Continuous Trap can't be removed from the field!" Bakura shouted.

"Is that so?" Atem smirked.

"What?" Bakura questioned.

"Battle! Trance the Magic Swordsman, attack Diabound Kernal! Trance charged in with his sword. "At this moment, Ebon Illusion Magician's effect activates! Once per turn, when a Normal Spellcaster-type monster attacks, I can target one card on the field and banish it!" Atem revealed.

"You're Diabound Kernal cannot be destroyed thanks to your Continuous Trap and your Continuous Trap cannot be removed from the field…" Atem smiled.

"Shit! Even though Diabound Kernal can't be destroyed, it can still be removed from the field!" Bakura realized.

"That's right! Diabound Kernal is no more!" Ebon Illusion Magician used his magic to banish Diabound Kernal. "And with your target gone, your Spirit Illusion and Kul Elna Barrier cannot remain on the field!" Bakura's cards were all but gone.

"Trance, redirect your attack to Bakura!" Trance went to Bakura and slashed at him, making Bakura cry in pain.

Bakura LP: 5000→2400

"It's over, Bakura! Ebon Illusion Magician! Direct Attack!" Ebon Illusion Magician charged in with his spear.

"I activate my Trap Card: Undead Blessing! I discard any number of Undead Monsters in my hand and gain 100 Life Points for each one! I discard five of them!" Bakura discarded five of his cards.

Bakura LP: 2400→2900

Ebon Illusion Magician's attack struck Bakura and he was knocked off his feet.

Bakura LP: 2900→400

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Atem finished his turn. "Bakura, you can never defeat me!"

"Damn you…" Bakura cursed.

Jonouchi vs Yami Marik

Yami Marik LP: 4500, Hand: 1
Field: Hellpoemer (ATK: 2500, LV: 5), Equip Magic: Black Pendant

Jonouchi LP: 5700, Hand: 1
Field: Red-Eyes Black Dragon (ATK: 1600, LV: 7)

Yami Marik smirked as he showed the Ra card in his hand. "Damn it…I have to win before he can summon his God card." Jonouchi cursed. "But Hellpoemer has more Attack Points than Red-Eyes. This next draw will determine the flow of the Duel."

"Jonouchi…" Rio got concerned.

"Don't worry, Jonouchi won't give up. He's very bad at it." Rua said.

"My turn! Draw!" Jonouchi drew his card. "It's risky, but I can't wait for a chance to come, I have to make it!"

"First, I set one card!" Jonouchi set his card. "Next…I Dimension Summon!"

"But Jonouchi!" Asuka was going to argue, but Jonouchi let out a roar.

"Appear! Gilford the Lightning (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Jonouchi summoned his strongest warrior. "Here I come, you bastard! Battle! Gilford the Lightning, attack Hellpoemer!" Gilford unsheathed his sword and unleashed lightning on Hellpoemer, destroying it and damaging Yami Marik.

Yami Marik LP: 4500→2500

"Black Pendant's effect activates! When this card is sent to the Graveyard, the opponent takes 500 points of damage!" Yami Marik pointed out, making Jonouchi grunt in pain.

Jonouchi LP: 5700→5200

"Red-Eyes, use whatever power you have left for a Direct Attack! Black Flame Bullet!" Red-Eyes unleashed its power and sent Yami Marik skidding backwards.

Yami Marik LP: 2500→900

"Hehehe…good…really good…" Yami Marik smiled. "This pain makes me stronger."

"Damn it…I lowered his Life Points so much, but he's still confident that he can win and he's thriving in the damage I dealt to him." Jonouchi thought.

"I end my turn." Jonouchi finished his turn.

Yami Marik LP: 900, Hand: 1
Jonouchi LP: 5200, Hand: 0

"My turn! Draw!" Yami Marik drew his card. "I Dimension Summon Ra!" Yami Marik revealed.

"What?! You're gonna Dimension Summon a God?!" Jonouchi was confused.

"That's right! Even though it's proper to offer sacrifices to God, the Plana makes this an exception! Appear! Winged Sun Dragon of Ra (ATK: 0, LV: 10)!" Yami Marik did a chant and Ra appeared in his sphere form before opening up to reveal his second form.

"He summoned a God." Blue Maiden sweated.

"Now I'll activate God's effect! God Phoenix!" Yami Marik revealed.

"You can't do that!" Jonouchi argued. "In order to use God Phoenix, you have to pay 1000 Life Points, you don't have that much left!" Jonouchi pointed out.

"I'm not paying the price." Yami Marik smiled.

"Huh?" Jonouchi was confused.

"At this moment, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Ray of the Sun!" A ray of sunlight shined on Jonouchi. "With this card, for the rest of this Duel, I am allowed to use my opponent's Life Points to use Ra's effect!"

"Using the opponent's Life Points for the cost?!" Rio exclaimed.

"That's a broken card!" Rua argued.

"Now Jonouchi, pay 1000 Life Points to the God!" Yami Marik ordered and Jonouchi screamed as the ray of the sun burned him and Ra turned into its God Phoenix mode.

Jonouchi LP: 5200→4200

"Ra, destroy Gilford the Lightning and Red-Eyes! God Phoenix!" Ra unleashed its flames on Gilford, making both him and Jonouchi scream in pain as the flames engulfed him. "Feel the pain from Dimension Summoning your monster!" Jonouchi screamed louder as he took damage.

"Jonouchi!" Asuka, Rua, Rio and Blue Maiden cried in worry.

Jonouchi LP: 4200→1400

After a while, God Phoenix stopped its effect and returned to behind Marik. Jonouchi was all burned and bruised, but he was still standing. "So, you're still alive…but not for long. Jonouchi, you will offer more of your points to power Ra!"

Jonouchi screamed again as he felt more of his Life Points disappear and Ra's Attack Points increased.

Jonouchi LP: (1400→1)
Ra (ATK: 0→1399)

"Die! Katsuya Jonouchi! Ra! Direct Attack! God Blaze Cannon!" Ra unleashed its Blaze Cannon on Jonouchi.

"I…activate my…Trap Card: Compensation Mediation! My opponent must select two cards from their Graveyard and shuffle them with this card!" Jonouchi threw the card to Marik. "After that, you set them on the field and if I select Compensation Mediation, the Battle Phase ends."

"Traps don't affect the Gods, but isn't used on God." Yami Marik chose two cards from his Graveyard and shuffled it with Jonouchi's card. "But your luck has run out. You only have a 1 in 3 chance of getting it. God will not spare you."

"Hurry…up…" Jonouchi panted. Yami Marik finished shuffling and set the cards. "I…choose…the right." Jonouchi pointed weakly to the right card. The card flipped over to reveal Compensation Mediation. "I'm still lucky…"

"Tch…" Yami Marik tossed the card back as Ra stopped its attack. "But I get to add the cards from my Graveyard to the top of my deck." Yami Marik added the cards to his deck. "I end my turn!"

"Jonouchi only has one Life Point and he has no cards in his hand." Blue Maiden observed.

"This is really the last turn." Asuka said grimly.

"Jonouchi…" Rua trembled.

"You can still win…" Rio put her hands in a prayer.

Yami Marik LP: 900, Hand: 0
Jonouchi LP: 1, Hand: 0

"My turn…Draw." Jonouchi drew his card. "From my hand…I activate the Magic Card: Roll of Fate." The dice appeared and rolled on the field before stopping on two. Jonouchi drew two cards from his deck and discarded two from his deck, though very slowly.

Jonouchi looked at the cards in his hand. "This is…my last turn…I can feel it…" Jonouchi's consciousness was waning. "Akari…Ray…Shizuka…Yuma…my beloved family. Aoi…Rua…Rio…Asuka…Yuya…the best team to be a part of…thank you for everything…"

Jonouchi then let out a strong roar, alarming Yami Marik and the other Guardians. "From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Resurrection of the Dead! Revive! Red-Eyes (ATK: 2400, LV: 7)!" Jonouchi summoned back Red-Eyes.

"Next, I activate Red-Eyes Fusion! I fuse the Red-Eyes on my field with the two Red-Eyes in my deck!" Jonouchi declared.

"A triple Red-Eyes Fusion?!" Yami Marik exclaimed.

"Jonouchi's strongest monster!" Blue Maiden realized.

"Black dragons with red-eyes, now is the time to unite with the power of friendship and create a miracle! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 12! Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (ATK: 3900, LV: 12)!" Jonouchi summoned his three-headed dragon.

"I-Impossible!" Yami Marik stepped back. "Even if I use Ra's effect to transfer my own Life Points, it won't be enough to defeat Red-Eyes."

"Red-Eyes…my strongest partner…" Jonouchi looked up at his dragon. "God is no match for our bond and the bond of the Guardians! Battle! Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, attack Ra! Ultimate Flame Shot of Friendship!" The three heads unleashed their attack and they struck down Ra, killing it. The shockwave from the attack sent Yami Marik flying as he disappeared.

Yami Marik LP: 900→0

Winner: Katsuya Jonouchi.

Jonouchi panted for a while before falling backwards. "Jonouchi!" Asuka and Blue Maiden caught him before he hit the ground. Rua and Rio gathered around him looking concerned.

From the distance, a tiny girl in a magenta dress and gold accessories watched them. "They are the ones that can stop this madness… Diva…I'm sorry, but I cannot help you with your plan." The girl put her hands in a prayer and the Guardians bodies glowed before disappearing. "Guardians…save my brother…and stop Genesis."

Atem vs Bakura

Atem LP: 700, Hand: 0
Bakura LP: 400, Hand: 1

Bakura got back to his feet and he glared at Atem. "Damn you…My turn! Draw!" Bakura drew his card. "Atem…you should've stayed down when you had the chance. Now you will suffer from my power!"

"What are you talking about?" Atem questioned.

"I have no more use for this body. From my hand, I activate the Ritual Magic: Advent of Zorc!" Bakura showed his card.

"Advent of Zorc?" Atem questioned.

"By banishing monsters in my Graveyard, I'm able to Ritual Summon the Dark One Zorc! I banish Diabound Kernal and Ghost Earl in my Graveyard!" An altar similar to the Stone Slab of the Underworld appeared and Bakura's two monsters appeared before turning into 10 black flames.

"Ruler of the Dark World, accept these offerings and unleash your darkness upon the world of light! Ritual Summon! Appear! The Dark One, Zorc (ATK: 5000, LV: 10)!" Bakura summoned out his strongest monster. It was a talk fiend with dark eyes, horns and a dragon extension around his waist. Bakura then passed out and fell forward.

"Bakura?!" Atem was confused at what happened.

"Your opponent is here!" Zorc spoke. "I activate my Monster Effect! When I'm Ritual Summoned, I can destroy all cards on the opponent's field!" Zorc fired a blast.

"I activate my Trap Card: Worldwide Illusion! When I have two Spellcaster-type monsters on my field, I can negate the activation of an effect that destroys cards on the field!" Atem's two monsters created an illusion that made it look like Zorc's effect went through but didn't.

"Enough of your tricks! It's time you die! I attack Ebon Illusion Magician! Zorc Inferno!" Zorc unleashed his attack.

"I activate my other Trap Card: Magic Cylinder! This card negates your attack and you take damage equal to your monster's Attack Points!" Atem shouted.

"I activate my other effect! Once per turn, when my opponent activates a Magic, Trap or Monster Effect, I can negate that effect and destroy all cards on my opponent's field!"

"What?!" Atem gasped. All of Atem's cards were destroyed. "And for each card destroyed, the opponent takes 300 points of damage!" Atem was blown off his feet again and he landed next to Yuya.

Atem LP: 700→100

"I end my turn! Now, Atem, hurry up and start your turn! Because as soon as you start it, I'll banish a Fiend-type monster in my Graveyard and automatically end your turn!"

"U-Urgh…" Atem continued to lay on the ground. "This…pain…"

"Don't give up…Atem…" Yuya said. "I know…you can win…" Yuya smiled at his friend.

"Yuya…" Atem smiled back.

"I think that will be quite enough."

Yuya, Atem, Zorc, Hasan and Yusho gasped as they turned to the entrance of the room and walking in was Genesis. "It's too bad, Zorc. I even gave you a head start to being your full resurrection."

"H-How did you know my plan?" Zorc was shocked.

"I know the truth of every person and creature I come in contact with. You can put on multiple facades and masks but I'll always see the truth underneath." Genesis approached the stone.

"I knew you would try to usurp my rule by placing the Millennium Items in the stone slab before I arrived to absorb the power of darkness and bring you back to your full power. And when the gate to the Duel Monsters world would open, you would lead an army to attack the human world." Genesis said. "Such thoughts have no welcome in my paradise."

"Aren't you…planning the same thing?" Yuya questioned.

"Oh, Yuya." Genesis approached Yuya and knelt down to him. "Why do you still compare me to that of a villain who wants to take over the world?"

"What are you talking about?" Yusho was confused. "You said you wanted to bring paradise into the world! The Paradise of the Dark Games!"

"Oh, Yusho. For a master of tricks, you fell for the oldest trick in the book." Genesis went to the stone slape and held her hand over the broken pieces of the Millennium Puzzle. "The Paradise of the Dark Games is merely a step towards my true Paradise."

"You're true Paradise?" Atem questioned.

"The Dark Games use the power of darkness to travel to alternate planes of existence so that the players cannot be interrupted. I don't want a world where every game is a Dark Game. I merely just need the dark power to travel between the planes in order to create a gate to my original home."

"You're original home?" Yuya asked.

"I'm not just a dragon…I'm a Duel Monster." Genesis revealed. "And for too long you humans have been using my kind for your entertainment and tools for war. That's why, I'll use the power of darkness of the Dark Games to create a connection from the Duel Monsters world to this world! Once that gate is opened, my fellow Duel Monsters will enter the human world and we will subjugate all humans! And we will be the ones using you humans for our entertainment and tools of war! A reverse of the Duel Monsters game, where the monsters are the Duelists and the humans as the monsters!"

"That's your true paradise…" Yuya grunted.

"That's right." Genesis held up the completed Millennium Puzzle. "But my paradise has no room for monsters or humans that want to use it for their own self-satisfaction. That's why Zorc, Yusho. You're both relieved of your roles." Genesis pointed her finger at Zorc.

"W-Wait?! Genesis, I'll listen to you, I won't—" Zorc spoke in fear.

"Goodbye." Genesis smiled as a small orb of light fired from her finger to Zorc's chest and the light consumed Zorc, burning him from the inside before exploding.

"You bitch!" Yusho got out of Hasan's grip and fired his gun at Genesis, but the bullets bounced off of her.

"Really?" Genesis gave an exasperated look. "I gave you a second chance and all you had to do was follow my orders. But if you want to throw away your life, then I'll help you out with it." Genesis fired another blast from her finger and it pierced through Yusho's skull, instantly killing him.

"Oh, looks like it's done." Genesis was now holding the restored Millennium Puzzle. "And I'll take that as well." The Millennium Ring from the unconscious Bakura flew to her hands as well.

"You will not get the power of Darkness!" Hasan charged towards Genesis and struck her in the face. However, even with his powerful force, Genesis didn't even flinch, nor did she move from her spot.

"That was a mistake." Genesis grabbed Hasan's head and ripped it clean off his shoulders.

"No!" Atem cried as the body of Hasan slumped to the floor. "Damn you, Genesis! Damn you!" Atem in rage ran towards Genesis, only for her to grab Atem by the neck and slam him into the ground.

"Atem…" Yuya was still in pain from the gunshot wound.

"Now, if there are no more interruptions…" Genesis went to the Stone Slab of the Underworld and placed the last two Millennium Items in place.

"Gotta…get…out of…here…" Yuya painfully crawled towards Atem.

"Stone Slab of the Underworld, grant me your power of darkness!" Genesis opened her arms as the stone slab glowed and darkness came out of it and into Genesis.

"Now…the gate shall open!" Genesis gathered the power of darkness and light in her hands and destroyed the Stone Slab along with the Millenium Items and a large red gate appeared in front of her.

At that moment, Mahad and Mana opened their eyes and they saw what was happening. "This is not good." Mahad sweated.

"Prince!" Mana saw the beaten Atem.

The gate glowed and soon, multiple Duel Monsters, ranging from fiends to warriors to machines to even dragons appeared at the gate. With more Duel Monsters coming in, the numbers were not in Mahad's or Mana's favor.

"We have to get out of here!" Mahad said.

"But we can't leave them!" Mana argued and ran towards Atem.

"Mana!" Mahad shouted.

"Stupid girl." Genesis created a clear wall that blocked Mana and Mahad from Atem and Yuya.

"Prince! Prince!" Mana screamed, but Atem didn't respond.

"Mana, we have to go!" Mahad grabbed her.

"But!" Mana started to cry.

"I don't want to leave them either, but we have to warn the country! We have to warn the world!" Mahad carried Mana away with a look of regret. "I'm sorry, Pharaoh."

"Prince! Prince! Atem!" Mana called Atem by name before Mahad took her out of the shrine.

"Atem…" Yuya finally made it to the unconscious Atem and held his hand. "I'm…with you…" Yuya finally passed out and laid next to his best friend.

"Head for the Nile and set up our headquarters. Fusion Monsters, head to Academia and Saio. Synchro Monsters, you're with Roget with his attack on Neo Domino. Xyz Monsters, enhance yourself with Don Thousand's Chaos. Ritual and Link Monsters will go to Maiami City and Den City. Await your orders from Diva and Lightning." Genesis ordered the monsters and they all moved out.

Genesis walked over to the unconscious Yuya and Atem. "Hm…perhaps you two can be of some help to us. Take them to the Duel Monsters World." A few magicians levitated Yuya and Atem and took them through the gate.

Ryuga-Muto Residence – Nursery

Yuzu finished changing Yuka's diaper. "Okay, new rule. You are not eating anymore of the Thai baby food." Yuzu said which made Yuka giggle.

Yuka then stopped giggling as something caught her attention. "What's wrong, Yuka?" Yuzu looked at where Yuka was looking and she noticed that a pot of her flowers one of them was wilting and losing their petals.

Yuzu remembered those flowers. They were flowers that her, Yuya and Yuka received when they went out to the park and Yuka wanted to pick flowers for each of them. The flower that was wilting was the one that Yuya got.

"Yuya…"

Ryuga-Muto Residence – Backyard

Yumiko smiled as the birds were enjoying the bread that she was throwing them. "That's good, Yumiko. Really good." Ruri smiled at her daughter. Yumiko then extended her hand to Ruri for more bread. "Okay, one more." Ruri went to get another slice.

"Here you—" Ruri then noticed that Yumiko was crawling away. "Hey, Yumiko. Where are you going?"

Yumiko stopped at a big bird that had a broken wing with two smaller birds surrounding it. From the looks of it, they were a family, with the father having the broken wing. Seeing the bird made Ruri look up at the sky with worry.

"Yuya…"

Ryuga-Muto Residence – Kitchen

"Here comes the D-Wheel!" Rin made a D-Wheel sound as she fed Yukio. "You are so adorable." Rin gushed at her son as he smiled.

Suddenly, the sound of glass shattering startled Yukio, making him whimper. "It's okay, sweetie. Mommy will take a look." Rin calmed down Yukio and went to where the sound was.

She looked and saw that one of the pictures had fallen to the floor. "Huh? How did this get on the floor." She then felt a strong breeze. "I thought I closed this window." Rin closed the window and picked up the frame and her eyes widened. It was a picture of her, Yuya and Yukio at an amusement park and a large crack was over Yuya's face.

"Yuya…"

Ryuga-Muto Residence – Master Bedroom

Yusaku was crying as Serena tried to comfort him. "Hey, it's okay, Yusaku. I know you miss your daddy but he'll be back soon." Serena rocked Yusaku back and forth.

"You know what, let me show you something." Serena reached down her shirt and pulled out her purple pendant. "See this, this was a gift from your daddy."

"Dada?" Yusaku questioned.

"Yes, this was from your dada." Serena smiled. "It's the proof of our love for each other. It's very precious and I've taken good care of it."

Just then, the pendant cracked. "Wh-What?" Serena was shocked that her pendant suddenly cracked.

"Dada?" Yusaku was getting scared.

Serena looked out the window where the moon was in its waning crescent phase, the last light about to be gone.

"Yuya…"

United World – Top of Leo Corporation

Genesis looked down at Maiami City as Diva, Saio, Roget, Don Thousand and Lightning joined her side. "I hope none of you are planning to take me down now." Genesis spoke.

"My loyalty is to you, Genesis." Diva bowed.

"Thank you for guiding my destiny." Saio bowed.

"And for giving me a second chance." Roget bowed.

"From one deity to another, you have my respect." Don Thousand bowed.

"Just keep you're end of the deal." Lightning did not bow.

Genesis smiled before looking at Maiami City. "United World…you have lost your greatest Guardian…" Genesis raised her hand in the air. "Begin!" Genesis lowered her hand and multiple Duel Monsters either fell or flew down towards the sky and towards the defenseless United World.

The time of peace came to an end.

Preview: The Guardians return from Link VRAINS only to find Duel Monsters attacking all of the cities and people under the command of Genesis. They try to get in contact with Yuya but he is nowhere to be found. With multiple battles happening all over, and Jonouchi out of commission, Aoi calls on the other Dimension Guardians for battle.
