Cindy and the others were fast asleep with tomorrow being a big day. However, something woke Cindy up in the middle of the night. She got up and was going to do what she needed to do. However, she woke up just enough to see what was going on out the window. She took a look and saw Life Destroyer and Star Phoenix facing each other.
"Hold on... Is that...?" Cindy said and soon realized what was going on. "Guys! Wake up!" She called as she hurried to get everyone. "Yukina is dueling Raika right now!"

The Duel
The finals for Duel Battlers were set for it being Yukina vs. Raika. As Raika's dark power grows stronger, Yukina decides to try and face him alone to keep her friends safe. The two of them already started their duel at the top of a tower. Yukina managed to bring out her Wild Ally Star Phoenix and her Wild Ally Leopard equipped with Aurora Curtain. She also had 3000LP. Yukina thought she just dealt major damage against Raika and destroyed Life Destroyer, but it was still standing.
"How is Life Destroyer still up?" Yukina questioned.
"It's all thanks to my trap card!" Raika said as he showed he activated one. "Psycho Joy! This trap can equip on to my monster to prevent it from being destroyed! What's more is that I gain back half of the life points from the damage I just took." He explained as his life points were now sitting at 3050. "You'll have to try a lot harder than that if you want to bring the big guy down."
"I might not be able to destroy Life Destroyer, but at least I can still deal damage. For now, I'll switch my leopard into defense mode and I end my turn." Yukina said as she readied herself for what was about to come next with her phoenix's attack points dropping down to 3300 and her leopard having 0def points.
"My turn!" Raika said as he drew his next card. "Do to the effect of Limit Disrupt and Psycho Joy, I'm not allowed to summon any other monster as long as Life Destroyer is on the field, but that's just fine." Yukina knew what was going to happen and needed to ready herself. "I activate Life Destroyer's ability! Your leopard might be untouchable, but your phoenix is another matter!" He said as Life Destroyer grabbed a hold of her phoenix and was starting to drain its power. Yukina could feel her own power being drained away as well. "Now all of your phoenix's abilities are negated and half of it's attack points are added to Life Destroyer's!" He said as Life Destroyer's power increased to 4650. "Now, destroy her phoenix with Conquering Darkness Demise!" He called. Life Destroyer brought out its weapon and struck its dark power against her phoenix. Yukina was blown back from it as her life points dropped to 1650. "Ha! So much for your mighty phoenix!"
"I wouldn't laugh about that so soon!" Yukina said. "When Star Phoenix is destroyed, I can bring back Wild Ally Phoenix!"
"What?!" Raika said. Her regular phoenix reemerged on the field with it having 2500atk points. "All of your Star Phoenix's abilities should have been negated! How did you bring it back?!"
"Well, just like how Life Destroyer's ability can't be stopped once it's activated, neither can my phoenix's to bring back its original form." Yukina said. "The same applies to Wild Ally Phoenix's other evolve forms!"
"Does that mean I'm going to deal with your whole flock?" Raika said. "That's fine with me. I could tell just by looking at you I got some good energy. So tell me, Yukina, where's all that power you were talking about before?!" Yukina is already in a tough situation and isn't looking good for her.
"Don't give up, Yukina! You can still beat him!" Yukina heard Cindy's voice. She looked at the top of a building and saw her friends cheering her on. It wasn't just them. So many gathered on the roof of a building and down on the streets. Everyone was cheering on Yukina to beat him. "You can do it, Yukina!" Cindy cheered.
"Remember what you're fighting for!" Hana said.
"We all believe in you and know you can take him!" Sylvia cheered.
"Show Raika what dueling is really about!" Henry cheered. Everyone wants her to win and they all believe they can. Yukina almost couldn't believe it herself.
"Everyone... I wanted to go in this alone to prevent anyone else from getting hurt." Yukina said. "I thought I carried you all with me, but you being here physically...gives me more strength!" She said as her hopes were being renewed.
"They're all right!" They all looked and saw even Kent showed up. "What are you waiting for?! This guy has to answer for what he did to Cray and the others! Finish what Cray started!"
"It looks like the finals of Duel Battlers has already started!" M.C. announced as he rode on a helicopter. "Yukina appears to be on the losing side, but that doesn't mean she can't turn this around in her favor." Everyone appears to be on Yukina's side and it was annoying Raika.
"What is all this garbage?" Raika questioned.
"It's what I was trying to tell you earlier, Raika. You stole the power of so many, and that can only get you so far." Yukina said. "Rather than stealing that power, if others share their power with you, it unlocks a greater power."
"Give me a break. Try saying that after you beat me, which won't happen!" Raika claimed.
"Let's find out! It's my turn!" Yukina said as she drew her next card. "I'm going to summon my Wild Ally Jellyfish to the field!" She said as she brought out her Jellyfish with it having 100atk points. "Next, I activate my jellyfish's ability! It can become the same level as another monster on my field, and I choose my phoenix!" She said as her jellyfish became a level seven monster just like her phoenix. "I now overlay my jellyfish and my phoenix!" She called as her phoenix and jellyfish went into the network and a pillar of light shot into the sky. "I xyz summon Wild Ally Cosmic Phoenix!" She called as her xyz phoenix emerged on the field with 3000atk points. "Your Psycho Joy might prevent Life Destroyer from being destroyed, but you can still take damage! It's also vulnerable to my monster abilities! I activate Cosmic Phoenix's ability! One overlay units means your monster loses 1000atk points, but two means Life Destroyer is losing 2000atk points!" Her phoenix used both of its overlay units and drained Life Destroyer of some of it's power with it dropping down to 1000.
"Oh yeah! That's the same combo she used against me!" Henry said.
"Yeah, but it isn't enough." Hana said. "Raika's trap card will replenish some of the life points he loses after each attack."
"Who cares?! At least Yukina can still deal some damage!" Kent said.
"Wild Ally Cosmic Phoenix, attack Malicious Fiend: Life Destroyer! Galactic Blaze!" Yukina called. Her phoenix ignited itself in flames and smashed against Life Destroyer. The attack blasted against Raika with his life points dropping to 1050.
"Did you forget that Psycho Joy won't allow Life Destroyer to be destroyed? Not to mention I gain life points equal to half the damage I take!" Raika said as his life points increased to 2050.
"But you're still taking damage!" Yukina said. "Eventually, you'll run out and your terror will end. For now, I'll end my turn there."
"They're life points are almost even! This duel could go either way as they appear to be equal!"
"You think we're even? I'll show you how wrong you are!" Raika said as he drew his next card. "I activate Passing Soul! By sending any monster I want to the graveyard, I regain life points equal to their highest point value! My Malice Fiend has 2600atk points, so I gain 2600LP!" He said as he discarded the card and his life points increased to 4650. Now he had even more life points than when he started. "Life Destroyer, drain more of their power!" Life Destroyer grabbed a hold of Cosmic Phoenix and began draining its power and some of Yukina's.
"Oh no! Yukina is losing her power!" Cindy said.
"And it's giving Life Destroyer even more power!" Hana said as Life Destroyer's power increased to 4500.
"Now, unleash all that power and destroy her phoenix!" Raika called. "Conquering Darkness Demise!" Life Destroyer unleashed it's terrifying power once again and caused some real damage that the tower could barely hold it. Yukina's half was starting to take some damage. On top of that, her life points dropped down all the way to 150.
"Oh no! She's only got 150LP left!" Sylvia said.
"It's not just that! That tower is starting to take some real damage! Just look at it!" Hana said as they all saw the tower was starting to break apart.
"That tower looks like it could collapse any moment!" Henry said.
"Life Destroyer is causing real damage! That tower looks like it won't be able to take much more!" Kent said. "Yukina better do something and fast!" Things were looking rather grim for Yukina. She needed to hold on to the railing to help keep her balance after having some of her energy being drained away.
"Look at you! You're not going to be last much longer!" Raika said. "Even if the duel doesn't end, there's only so much you can take."
"I can take plenty of what you dish out." Yukina said as she wasn't going to back down. "One of which is that my Wild Ally Phoenix resurrects if Cosmic Phoenix is destroyed when it has no overlay units!" She said as her phoenix came back with 2500atk points. "See, Raika? I can handle whatever you throw at me."
"Let's see if that's true when you have so little left. It's your turn now." Raika said with Life Destroyer's power returning to normal.
"Yukina is in real trouble here! Both in this duel and in reality! The damage looks rather real! This is not looking good at all!"
"Let's see if I can change that! I draw!" Yukina said as she kept going. "Here goes! I summon my Wild Ally snake to the field!" She said as she summoned out her snake with it having 1500atk points. "Now that I have these three monsters, I'm free to build my circuit!" She said as the circuit opened up behind her. "The summoning conditions requite two monsters, one of which is my Wild Ally Phoenix!" She said with all three monsters being sent into the arrows. "I link summon Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix!" She said as her spirit phoenix emerged with 2800atk points. "Since my leopard was equipped with Aurora Curtain, my spell returns to my hand since my leopard left outside of battle." She claimed as she took her card back. "What's more is that if my Spirit Phoenix is summoned when there are no monsters next to it's link, my Wild Ally Phoenix returns!" She said as her regular phoenix came back with 2000def points.
"So you got two chickens instead of one. Do you really think that's going to make a difference?" Raika said.
"We'll see soon enough." Yukina said. "I now activate Type Burial!" She said as she activated another spell. "This spell card gives me 400LP for every different monster type I have in my graveyard! I currently have three in there: fish, beast, and reptile! That means I gain 1200LP!" She said as her life points increased to 1350.
"Yukina really hasn't given up yet! She's regained some life points of her own!"
"And now I activate Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix's ability! Once per turn, I can take the attack points of a monster next to Spirit Phoenix's links and add them to its own!" Yukina said as her two phoenixes combined their power and her Spirit Phoenix's now had 5300atk points. "Let's see if you can take the heat this time! Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix, attack Life Destroyer with Spiritual Blaze!" Her phoenix made its flames even more powerful and flew straight at Life Destroyer. It smashed right against Life Destroyer and was still causing damage as Raika's life points dropped to 2350.
"Another failed attempt as I gain power once again." Raika said as his life points increased to 3500. Despite that, Yukina hasn't given up hope just yet.
"To protect my phoenix, I'll equip it with Aurora Curtain once again!" She said as the curtain of lights formed around her regular phoenix once again. "I place one card facedown and that ends my turn." She said as Spirit Phoenix's power dropped back to normal.
"Yukina is fighting bravely, but is it enough? She has yet to defeat Life Destroyer and it's Raika's turn once again!"
"Just face the facts that you can't beat me." Raika said.
"Not gonna happen." Yukina said. "It's not over yet. I still have strength to fight and a deck I can play. There's still a chance for me to get out of this."
"You think there's a chance?" Raika said. "I don't think so. I want that power... Power... Power!" He said as he was beginning to radiate with that dark power once again. "Power! Power! I want more power!"
"Raika?!" Yukina said as this didn't look good. He was radiating with dark power and so was Life Destroyer. Something was happening to Raika. It was as if he was beginning to lose control of himself as he was sounding insane. "What's happening?! Raika, what's going on with you?!"
"More! More! I want more power!" Raika declared. "I want power!" He shouted as all the dark power he currently had erupted right from under him and was granting more power to Life Destroyer. It's as if the darkness if Raika can't hold all that darkness anymore.
"Oh no." Taiyo said as he was watching things unfold himself. "It's the darkness of Life Destroyer. It looks like Raika is losing control now." Just as things already seemed bad for Yukina, they might end up taking a turn for the worst. Yukina needs to do something fast or else this could be the end for her.
