It was incredible how time flew by. Weeks stretched into months and months into years. It had been exactly one year ago that Rosalie and her mom had set foot in Forks. A town that promised not only steady work for her mother but new beginnings. Roots.

Rose tried to remember the last time she'd stayed in the same place for even one year. Same town, same house, same friends… It seemed only yesterday that she was navigating through a new town and a new school. Only yesterday she went to that party and saw Jacob for the first time.

A lot of things have changed though. For the first time, she had people around whom she could call friends. People who were there for her, always having her back. She had a family. Not by blood, but by choice.

She felt loved. Her heart was full of love these days.

Jacob knew how special this day was for her. The start of something new. He had promised to take her to somewhere special. A surprise. He came over from college just for this.

Her eyes were covered with a black cloth, he did love dramatics. For a brief moment, her brain threw a very peculiar picture at her. Jake on one knee, a smile on his face and a velvet box. Her heart fluttered at the idea. But surely it was too soon, right? She was still seventeen, her eighteenth birthday only a few weeks away but still. Jacob had only started college, something he was really focused on and very proud of. The first person in his family to go to university. Quite a milestone.

It smelled like pine trees and she could feel the breeze in her bare skin. Jacob helped her climb some stairs. "Almost there."

They were still outside, at least it felt like it.

"Here." The cloth covering her eyes disappeared, it took her a couple of blinks to adjust. Rose gasped "Jacob–", they were on some kind of rooftop; lit candles were spread around a little picnic table with a vase with yellow daffodils. "Where are we?"

He laughed, "We're on my rooftop."

It was true, she got closer to the edge of the rooftop. Rose could see parked Billy's truck, even their garage where Jake still worked on cars. He started his little auto shop in his garage, people from La Push and Forks brought their cars there.

"Let's have dinner." Jacob stretched out his hand, and Rosalie took it.

He cooked the dinner himself and it was quite good. Rose knew Jacob liked Italian but she felt that the lasagna was a little wink to their first date.

"More wine?" Jake asked after they were done with the dinner. He had set the cutest set up to watch the stars. A black padded bed sheet with matching pillows and cover-up.

He served her more wine, the only wine she liked. Rose had started drinking sips of alcohol here and there, Rose understood that she was not going to get completely drunk with just a simple beer or a glass of wine. Her mother liked to take things to the extreme, but they were not the same.

They lay in the set up watching the clear dark sky. She've never seen so many stars this clear. Jake had said the contamination of the city hid the stars, but in the reservation, the stars were clear as day.

"Jake," Rose said as she put away her glass of wine. His arm was wrapped around her, her head listening to his heartbeat. "This is so beautiful. Thank you for doing this. I mean coming back to town–"

"You don't need to thank me." He kissed her forehead and her heart warmed. "And recently I've been missing you more and more."

Jake was going to state college and living in Olympia, a three-hour drive from Forks. Rose hated that every weekend he had to drive back home to spend the weekend. He tried to make her feel better by telling her that he also did repairs and apparently he needed the money so it all worked out in the end.

"I can go visit next weekend, you know? My neighbor can lend me his car–"

"I should have chosen a college closer to you." He sighed "I miss you every day."

Rose also missed him every single day at all hours of the day, but it had been his dream to go to college and the university he was going to was really good, with incredible options for business school. They could talk all night on the phone, but nothing was going to compare to this. His arms around her, his mouth on her mouth…

"This is my last year. I'm going for a scholarship to go to Olympia too–"

"Really?" Jake's smile was disbelieving, she smiled back and nodded. His soft lips touched hers making her breath hitch. He rolled her so that he could be on top of her. He helped her out of the sweater and the skirt she had worn that day, leaving her in underwear.

"Beautiful." He murmured as he kissed and nipped that special spot behind her ear. She whimpered when he bit her ear. "Jake–"

"Shh–"

Rose could already feel him hard in his pants, so she unbuttoned his jeans. Not fair she was the only one in her underwear…

When he was only in his boxers, he started to kiss her throat again. In a blink of an eye, he unfastened her bra. With his thumb, he massaged the sensitive peak. Goosebumps erupted from his touch. "Jake–"

He took one of her nipples in his mouth and she could not help but moan at the feeling. His fingers got rid of her underwear and with no hesitation, he teased her slit. "Please–"

"Mmhh?" He continued to tease.

"Stop teasing." Her voice sounded like she had run a marathon.

"A little impatient, aren't we?" He circled his tongue on her areola and she arched her spine, wanting more.

She finally felt his thick finger massaging her entrance. She tried jerking her hips trying to get more friction, but he wouldn't give it to her. "Be patient." His thumb massaged her nub, making her head fuzzy. A first finger entered her, pushing in and out of her body in a slow rhythm, her hips following the motion. "I need you inside me–"

Jacob stopped his movements abruptly making her whimper like a kitten "You don't have to do it, Rose–"

"Please, Jake. I'm ready." His eyes roamed over her face, trying to detect the lie. The truth was that she'd felt ready for a long time now. "I swear."

He kissed her deeply, erupting a sigh for her. She opened her eyes in surprise when she felt him prodding her entrance. There was no way in hell he fitted inside of her. He was going to break her in two. "I–"

"Don't be nervous Rose. I'm going to take care of you." He pushed slowly inside of her.

"It's not going to–"

"We'll make it fit." He sounded like he was in pain, like it was taking him an extra enormous amount of effort not to thrust inside of her. Her body rapidly accommodated him and the pain started to feel like pleasure.

He began to pull back and thrust back into her, moving in and out of her. She could feel herself coming already, still very sensitive from his fingers.

Her hips started to move in their own accord, meeting Jacob's movements. Her movement started to become more erratic and desperate, hitting a special spot inside of her that made her see stars. Tears started to fall from the intense pleasure when Jake started to massage her sensitive nub.

"Perfect." His voice hoarse from arousal.

Intense pleasure erupted from Jacob's movement, small sex noises leaving her mouth without permission as she climaxed. Her core and belly pulsed with pleasure.

Jake continued to thrust into her as she rode out her orgasm. She lay there, post orgasm bliss looking at his beautiful face constricted from pleasure "Rose, I'm going to–"

Before he could even think about slipping out, she said "I'm on the pill–"

"Fuck–" The force of his thrust increased as he groaned and stilled. Liquid rushed out of her when he pulled out. a minute later, Jake flipped them over again and covered them up with the sheet.

It took a minute to catch her breath. "I love you, Jake." Emotion closed her throat and tears filled her eyes. "I–"

"I love you." He snuggled her closer "Thank you for trusting me, I know this was a big step for you."

"I once thought love and pleasure were out of the cards for me. Now I see how wrong and pessimistic I was."

"Oh, Rose." Jacob sighed "You were not pessimistic you did not know love yet. However, love always comes when you're not expecting it, when you're not looking for it. Sometimes it requires sacrifice, but in the end, it's always worth it."

Tears filled her eyes again "I never found myself worthy of love."

"We're all worthy of love, Rose. Never forget that." Jacob's eyes were so full of affection, of promise for the future, of loving and trusting her till the world ended, of loving till the very end of time. Her heart filled with love, pure love at this boy who showed her a way to see the world with new eyes.

There were no words yet invented to describe the burning passion she found in his arms; but in Jacob's eyes, Rose could see a mirror of what she was feeling in the depths of her soul. A fire meant to burn eternally.

A/N:

Thank you so much to anyone reading along. This is the very first completed work I have –a huge milestone for me- and I'm so excited to finally upload this last chapter. This is somewhat a personal project of mine but I decided there was no harm in uploading this so I hope you enjoyed this fic as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Since the very first time I watched Breaking Dawn, I immediately felt a potential between Jacob and Rosalie, and I needed to write something about them. This story flowed out of my naturally and I couldn't sleep or eat in the two weeks it took me to write this.

I don't usually write in the Twilight fandom but who knows, maybe this is the first Twific out of many. I do have a Dramione WIP in the Harry Potter fandom that's currently on hiatus but I hope someday I would be able to finish… If you're interested you can find it in my ao3 account under the name "Influenced Confessions." I have the same pen name over there, BieberBlue.

THANK YOU FOR READING EYES OF THE GAMBIT.
