Harlem, New York

It's been 2 weeks since anyone has seen the enhanced or PowerGirl, that's the name the girl has been calling herself every since she saved those groups of girls. No one was able to get a picture of her face but Tony Stark provided them the video of the girl.

Natasha had a job, find the girl and befriend her and gain her trust.

It was a risky move, but Natasha was a better candidate. Stark managed to narrow her location down to Harlem,New York. Natasha didn't know why the girl chose Harlem, but she's gonna find her.

Natasha is posing as a waitress at a diner near the local high school. So far she hasn't seen nor heard anything yet, but she knows it won't be easy so she has to be patient.

Natasha drove to the diner on her 2006 Honda CBR. Natasha had a reputation of sorts, she was accosted by a small group of thugs who worked for a club owner. Let's just say, they found out the hard way not to mess with her.

Natasha pulled up to the Diner and parked her bike. She walked in the Diner and got ready for work.

Natasha worked the late shift. So it was night after her first couple of hours. At night she could see when the crime was most frequent. She would have to be careful not to get mugged, she would blow her cover real fast because people were being idiots.

The door to the diner opened and she was caught by surprise, but quickly hid it. The girl she was looking for, was walking in the diner, with different clothes when she was last scene but the same jacket.

"Hey Laura, your here a bit early aren't you."

The voice that spoke next to her was Sara. Another waitress, who works at the diner.

"It's getting late, what time does your shift end." Laura said while making her way to a chair up front.

"In a hour, do you want something to eat before we go?" Sara asked.

To Natasha, it looked like Sara cared about the girl. She needed to get as much information as she could while they were still here. "Sooo, how did you two meet, if you don't mind me asking?" Natasha sounding curious.

"Oh Laura lives in my building with her aunt." Sara said smiling brightly. Laura nodded as she waited for her food. "Oh Laura, this is Natalie. She started working here for a week now."

Laura looked at Natalie for a moment. Her food had arrived while Sara was talking . Laura looked away to finish eating her food.

After awhile, Natalie and Sara clocked out and were leaving. Laura got up and followed Sara and Natalie. "So how old are you Laura?" Natasha said with a curious look. Laura looked at her and answered. "I'm 12." Laura said before turning back to face ahead of them. "12 huh, is your aunt ok with you coming out here by yourself? It is a dangerous place out here at night." Natasha said wondering what she would say. Laura looked at her with a smug look on her face. "I can take care of my self. I'm strong, one punch and I'll send anyone flying." Laura said while flexing her small arms. Natasha had to admit, she would be adorable if Nat didn't know it was true. Sara laughed, covering her mouth and Laura looked at her while pouting cutely.

They got to the parking lot and Natasha walked to her bike and got on. She looked at Sara and Laura and called out. "I'll see you tomorrow Sara and it was nice meeting you Laura."

Laura nodded and Sara waved and they both began to walk to the bus stop. Natasha drove to her apartment to inform Fury that she made contact with the asset.

It's been 2 months since she met Laura, and gaining the girl's trust was a challenge but Natasha managed to get close to the girl. Laura was shy at first, but after awhile she opened up to her, talking to her about things and even though the girl is strong and is a high value Target for people.

Natasha felt protective of her, she knew that Laura was really alone and she wondered how the girl managed to get an apartment by herself.

Currently, Natasha, Sara and Laura were sitting at the diner enjoying lunch and just talking and hanging out. It was their off day and they wanted to do something together.

As they were talking, Sara got up to go to the bathroom, leaving Natasha and Laura by themselves. As Natasha turned towards Laura. "So, how did you get an apartment by yourself?" Natasha asked, startling Laura who looked at her with wide eyes and a nervous expression on her face.

"I don't know what you mean. I told you I live with my aunt." Laura said while tucking her thumbs in her hands. An adorable tell she's lying. In the past 2 months, Natasha has realized that Laura is a terrible liar.

Natasha put's her hand on Laura's and rubs her thumb over it. "I know your by yourself, but your not alone. You have me and Sara too, if you need money or place to stay just ask me, I'll help you." Natasha said with absolute certainty.

Laura looked at her, and opened her to speak but was interrupted by the ground shaking.

They looked outside to see everyone running away from something. Everyone in the diner ran outside to see 2 giant monsters fighting and wreaking Harlem.

The brown one was throwing the green into a building, either injuring people or killing them.

Natasha seeing this, looked to see Sara running out and Laura standing still frozen with a haunted look on her face. Ahead there was a little girl crying for her mom near a car with a pool of blood forming underneath it, Natasha could guess what happened.

The sign that was leaning on the side of the building fell and was going to land on the little girl.

Natasha felt a strong wind and in a blink, Laura is standing above the girl, holding the sign in one hand.

"Hey there, I'm sorry I didn't get here earlier, I could have saved your mom. I'm so sorry." Laura said with tears coming out her eyes. The little girl still crying, hugs Laura.

Laura dropped the sign, and hugs the girl.

A roar made Natasha look back at the battle. The Brown monster kicked the green one, which she guessed was Banner through a building. The brown monster got up and looked around and saw us and grinned.

Natasha felt worried, she knew Laura was strong but banner was on another level and this one had kicked him into a building.

"Is that the one that took away your mom." Laura said in a cold voice, a red tint in her eyes.

The little girl looked up and shuddered and nodded while burying her face in Laura's side.

Laura nodded and picked up the girl and walked towards Sara and Natasha. She gave the girl to Sara, and Before any of them could say anything she disappeared, a second later a boom sounded out. The buildings shook as the windows shattered.

Natasha looked to see Laura upper cut the monster and grab the monster by the foot and slammed him into the ground hard enough to form a crater and causing the ground to shake. Then what sounded like a jack hammer on steroids sounding from the crater. Shockwaves becoming visible as the cracks becoming worse then before. Then the sounds stop and the monster came flying out, bouncing off the ground and landing on a bus.

Laura came floating over and landed on the ground. A couple of meters away from the monster. The monster was badly hurt, he was badly bleeding green from his face, and arms. He looked up as Laura walking towards him with a cold look on her face, eyes glowing red.

The monster roared and launched itself at her, running at her with its arm cocked back and punched towards her. Laura flew towards it dodged the punch and punched the monster in the jaw, knocking out a tooth and sending it flying. She flew towards it and grabbed its face and slammed it into the ground and began dragging it across the street.

The monster grabbed her leg and threw her into a building. The monster got up slowly, but was interrupted in the process as Laura came rocking out the building, lasers shooting out at the monster. They were so powerful, that the monster got dragged across the floor. She flew after him until he hit the building across the street. She came at him with a flurry of blows, multiple cracks forming around the building.

The monster swung his arm, she blocked his arm and sliding across the ground. The monster got up and was angry than before. He swung his arm down and she blocked it, the ground cracking beneath her but not moving or straining against the arm. The monster had a shocked look on his face, then it returned to the angry look and swung his other arm at her. She dodged by flying back, and as the monster recovered, she preformed a backflip kick to the monster's jaw. A shockwave coming from the blow. Laura flew up behind the monster and wrapped her arms around its waste, aimed towards the ground at a fast pace and began spinning and hit the ground with an explosion of dust and concrete.

Sara shielded the little girl and Natasha took cover as well. As she looked up, the monster was thrown out of the crater rolling in the middle of the street, unconscious and looking worse than before. Natasha looked up at a building to see Banner looking down towards the monster and turned around and began walking off.

Laura rosed up from the crater, dust falling off of her. She looked around as everyone in Harlem began surrounding the crater she floated around.

At this moment, Natasha knew with a doubt that the world was gonna change because of her. Wither it wanted to or not.

AN; Finally got this story out. Bet you guys thought I was gonna bail. Nahhh, I just wanted to figure out what to write for this story. So now people know she's much stronger than a gamma powered monster. I can't wait the write more. Me personally I didn't know what to right for her interaction with Natasha so I do apologize if it wasn't that well written. Hope guys enjoy, see you next week.
