Title: Changing For The Better
Summary: Due to some interfering witches, a hot night between Katherine and Stefan results in her being pregnant. Stefan starts off by forgiving her and eventually falls in love. Katherine starts off by trying to get Stefan and then she ends up changing. Elena is not happy about any of it. Steferine and slowburn Bamon. Anti-Delena. Takes place after Katherine helps Stefan with his PTSD in Season 5.
Rating: M for Mature due to smut scenes.
Warnings: Not for fans of Elena or Delena. Elena may seem OOC in this story but I'm channeling all my frustration with this character into my writing.

Chapter 18: New Alliances
"Hey Care," Stefan says greeting his best friend. He gives her a hug and smiles warmly at her. She grins back.
"I guess that means I was right, huh?" Caroline smirks.
"Are you ever wrong?" Stefan rolls his eyes playfully.
"Nope," Caroline says before sticking her tongue out at him.
"I just wanted to check on you," Stefan says concerned, "You seemed a little freaked out at the mall…" She laughs nervously.
"I'm fine, Stefan," Caroline says, shifting her eyes away from his.
"Care… Talk to me," Stefan grabs her hand and squeezes it softly.
"I… I just, I wanted to make sure everything was perfect, but I made the mother of your child cry which is just proof I'm going to be horrible godmother," Caroline frowns. Stefan presses his lips together to keep from laughing.
"Caroline Forbes, you are a brilliant woman but that has to be the dumbest thing you've ever said," Stefan chuckles, "Katherine was crying because of her hormones, okay? It had almost nothing to do with you. And you are going to be an amazing god mother… Would it help if you spent more time with Katherine?"
"I think it would," Caroline smiles brightly.
"Okay great, I'm going to see Nadia now and I'll be busy tomorrow, so why don't you stop by and keep Katherine company?" Stefan offers.
"Totally! We could do our nails and I'll grab some trashy magazines…" Caroline starts ranting.
Stefan gets into his car and heads over to the spot Nadia texted him.
"Stefan, over here," Nadia waves him over.
"Nadia, do you have any news?" Stefan asks nervously.
"So, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that this baby is extremely powerful so its pretty much a given that he or she will fine until the birth. The bad news is that the birth is going to kill my mother… I've been trying my best to find a way around it, but no one has a solution," Nadia explains.
Stefan looks down. "We need to find a way around it… I just got her back… I can't lose her again."
"I know," Nadia says before embracing him, "Me too."
"I think there's some people I need to see," Stefan says, "Caroline's gonna be with Katherine tomorrow. Just check in on her. I'll be back soon."
"Where are you going?" Nadia asks curiously.
"The witch that saved me, I'm going to see if I can find her. I think she might be able to help."
Nadia nods and Stefan gets into his car and drives off.
The next day Caroline arrives at the Salvatore Boarding House, supplies and trashy magazines in hand. "Caroline, have you seen Stefan?" Katherine asks.
"No, I haven't, he said he would be busy so I figured you and I could have a girls day in," Caroline smiles brightly. Katherine's eyes widen in surprise.
"That sounds like fun actually," Katherine smiles back.
They spend the day hanging out like friends and somehow in that time it's like they become friends. Caroline feels like Katherine really has changed and if she makes Stefan happy then that's all that matters.
Stefan walks into his room and finds Katherine sitting on his bed. "Where were you?" Katherine asks.
"I was trying to track down an old friend and I couldn't find him," Stefan says.
"Him?" Katherine raises her eyebrow.
"Yeah, Lexi's boyfriend. I thought he might know some witches that could help," Stefan lies.
"Oh," Katherine remarks, still having a bad feeling.
"Did you have a good day?" Stefan asks trying to change the subject.
"Yes, I did… Caroline came over. We hung out. It was fun," Katherine replies.
"Good. I'm glad that my two favourite girls are getting along," Stefan smiles at her and squeezes her hand softly.
"Me too," Katherine smiles back at him.
"I missed you today, you know?" Katherine bats her eyelashes at him.
"You did?" Stefan eyes her curiously.
"Yes, I was touching myself imagining it was you instead. Let me show you," Katherine says seductively.
She takes off her dress and unclips her bra before taking her hand and massaging her breast. She pinches the nipple and moans. Stefan watches her in fascination as her fingers trail down to her pussy. She starts sliding her fingers in and out slowly.

"Damon, it's good to see you but actually I'm here to-," Bonnie starts before Damon interrupts her. "Yes, I know, to wallow alone, post break up with little Gilbert. But not to worry, I am here to be your hero and save you from wallowing alone," Damon wiggles his eyebrows.
"Here you go," A handsome man says while placing a drink in front of Bonnie.
"I'll have a burger and fries," Damon says to him without taking his eyes off Bonnie.
"Oh, I'm not a waiter," The guy replies.
"Then what are you doing here?" Damon asks confused.
"I'm her date," Handsome guy says with a smirk on his face.
"Oh," Damon remarks, a hurt expression gracing his normally striking features, "I should be going. I have things to do." And before Bonnie can say a word, he gets up from the table and leaves the restaurant.
Damon walks into the Salvatore Boarding House to find Katherine sitting on the couch reading a book. He flops onto the couch face first and groans.
"What crawled up your ass and died?" Katherine asks jokingly. He lifts his head up and pouts.
"Bonnie is on a date," Damon says before letting his face hit the couch once again.
"What's wrong with him?" Jeremy says when he walks in and sees Damon on the couch.
"Bonnie is on a date," Katherine explains.
"Ahh," Jeremy says understandingly.
"Katherine!" Damon scolds, "Jeremy's her ex-boyfriend!" Then he looks at Jeremy and asks, "And what did you mean by 'ahh'?"
"Exactly," Katherine rolls her eyes, "So he can help, duh."
"And I meant that it's totally obvious that you like her, and I was wondering when you'd figure it out," Jeremy shrugs while turning on the PlayStation and passing Katherine a controller.
"You don't have a problem with it?" Damon asks unsurely.
"Bonnie and I are just friends now. I want her to be happy. I'd threaten to hurt you if you hurt her but we both know she can hurt you far worse than I can," Jeremy laughs.
"It would be nice to see you date someone with her own mind that would treat you as an equal rather than her lapdog," Katherine giggles.
"Hey!" Damon shoves her playfully.
Author's Note: It's a little short I know but I wanted to update. I was thinking of doing a time skip of a few months to later on in Katherine's pregnancy so we get more into the drama rather than having filler chapters and I'll do some flashbacks. Otherwise I could do a chapter that summarizes the next few months and then include flashbacks where they're relevant. Let me know what you guys think is better before I start writing :)!

3) Sammy (Chapter 4): Personally I think it was insensitive because she was there. If they were doing it in private then that's their choice but they did it for her to hear on her deathbed. My bigger issue was that there were things she did that she definitely deserved to be blamed for and it would have been okay if they brought those up, but instead they chose to blame her for their own choices. Because if we're blaming Damon's actions on Katherine then we might as well go further back and blame Katherine's actions on Klaus because she wouldn't have pretended to be in the tomb if it wasn't for him. Then we blame Klaus's actions on Mikael and so on and how far back do we go?
4) Sammy (Chapter 5): I fully believe in holding them accountable for their actions, even my faves so yes I thought it was important for him to acknowledge that he's no saint :).
