(Episode 4: Let me get this Straight, I'm a what now?!)
It would be the start of November as Issei and Aika were still helping one another in regards to the mastery of their respective abilities, which while still rocky for Issei who was managing the output of power and sheer spectrum of what he could accomplish, that success was still on a positive incline for him. Given that, whilst the threat of prying eyes was still real for the teen in question, he found his confidence in them growing more and more by the day, and as such with Aika at his side felt near unstoppable all things considered.
Yet the one thing that was taking time to get used to for Issei, was the fact that he now had a god-slaying dragon inside of him; which on top of everything else he was dealing with was…quite a bit to take in all things considered.
(Kuoh Town, 8:54 Pm, November 3rd, 2018)
It would be nearly 9 at night as Issei would get done on a snack run that he was currently surfing on some power lines back home, via his electrical powers while conversing with Ddraig on his status as a Red Dragon Emperor.
"So let me get this straight. On top of everything else, I'm dealing with between my artwork/animation/cosplay-making hussle, which I'm glad is continuing to take-off by the way. Plus training to get a grip on my powers, that I also have to deal with people headhunting me because we're a package deal now?" Issei asked as he used his powers to continue surfing along the powerlines using his electrical powers
"Indeed, as now that we are a 'packaged deal' as you call it. There will be those seeking to test your strength in the future, such as the White One that you call your friend. As no doubt that you have begun to come into your own, that he will soon seek to challenge you in combat." Ddraig told Issei regarding his inevitable face-off against Vali
"That is why you must continue your training, and stay on guard against all threats in your immediate vicinity. For there will be no shortage of enemies to challenge you." Ddraig further warned Issei of the dangers to come
"...Can't say I didn't see it coming already when I first got my powers. But with that in mind, is there any way at all I can force you to get online? Since with my powers, plus you in me. I feel like I'm gonna need every leg-up I can get." Issei asked the ancient red dragon within himself
"The best way I can think of at the current moment; is to force out my power or to have someone of notable strength act as a vector to which I can fully awaken. Especially, when circumstances are not kind enough to seek out other ways of doing so in a timely manner." Ddraig responded on the best ways he knew beyond the traditional means
"In that case hopefully, Aika can help out with that." Issei said back in hopes that his bespectacled friend could assist in thar regard
"I hope so as well. I long to once again show the world the power of a Dragon of Domination." Ddraig spoke eager to show his immense power once more in this new age
"Hey, slow your roll there. The one thing I'm trying to do now is keep what I've got going on stable, get my g.e.d, and lastly just try and be a good person with my powers. So we can save that domination stuff for later my guy." Issei told his inner dragon
"Very well, I can wait a bit longer…After all, I have waited over 50 years to find a suitable partner to fight alongside, I can wait a bit more." Was Ddraig's response as Issei continued on his way
However, as he eventually jumped off from the powerlines he was surfing upon he decided to walk the rest of the way back, so despite his trek being some 2 to 3 blocks away he was more than happy to enjoy his walk back. What with him wondering what new ideas he was going to put out for his next Youtube video, he eventually found himself stopping as in the midst of the chilly November night did he find the starry sky turning a psychedelic haze of ruddy reds, putrid blues, and obnoxiously bright greens.
The sight having Issei briefly summon his Twice Critical so that he could use it to unsheathe his baseball bat from it, and hold it at a ready stance as lightning cracked and arced around it; as he stood ready to defend against whatever came his way…Moments passed until he saw a tall and very busty woman with navy-colored hair and piercing chocolate brown eyes; who wore a maroon trenchcoat-like top with a matching minskirt and black high-heels, yet the thing that drew Issei's attention was the 4 pairs of ebony feathered wings on her back.
'Oh fuck, not this again...The last thing I need is to get merked by another busty babe with black wings.' Issei thought to himself as he began to white-knuckle the bat in his hands at the sight of the fallen angel
"Before you get all stir-crazy, I didn't come here to fight you. I just came here to talk and that's it." Kalawarner spoke as above her floating magical circle of aquamarine hovered above her before expanding outwards for roughly 50 feet
"Then what do you want, and why the hell is the sky all weird, and who even are you…very attractive woman who has awesome tits...Anyways, what's going on." Issei said before having to snap himself out of staring at her exposed cleavage
"My name is Kalawarner, kid, and I came here to warn you about your crazy ex-girlfriend who gutted you over a month ago." Kalawarner spoke back knowing she had to be fully transparent here
"As for this little number. This is a little illusion I made to give us privacy to talk to each other in. No one can hear or see what goes in and out of this bubble I made. So we have as much time as needed to chat." Kalawarner further informed Issei
"H-How do you know about Yuuma? I haven't told anyone about what she did to me?" Issei asked as the lightning arcing around his baseball bat began to intensify
"Because her name isn't Yuuma, it's Raynare and she's a fallen angel. A powerful one at that; whose a angry psychotic bitch, and if she gets her way she'll kill you again, your friends, and make this whole town of yours into a fucking shitshow. And I'm sticking my neck out so you have a heads up to try and fight this shit before it gets any more out of hand." Kalawarner told the young man
"Wait why does she want me dead for a second time, and what the hell does she want with my town? I haven't done anything to anyone to get merc'd by my crazy ex-girlfriend!" Issei shouted in confusion
"I can't tell you everything right now, as I'm already risking a lot by telling you this. But what you do need to know is that you need to be ready and fast, Issei Hyoudou. Things are about to go to hell and a handbasket soon, and you need to get whatever friends you can and have them be ready to fight against whatever she throws at you. Because, there is so, so much that she's gonna slam onto you to get her way, so you need to be at your A-game if you want you're home to still be in one-piece." Kalawarner warned him of whatever was coming without giving away too much in case she was being followed
"Is there anything else you can tell me? Just how strong even is she, since she's apparently a fallen angel out of the bible? And just how big of a threat are we talking?" Issei wondered as to what else he was missing in this hot mess that was turning into his life
"Stronger than me and the only other person I have as a friend. Hell, if I were you I wouldn't take any chances with her at all. So no matter what she does, you have to bring everything you can against her, and I'm talking full-blown scorched earth if you can do it." Kalawarner told Issei regarding the immense strength that Raynare possessed
"...Alright, that's a nice heads-up. Thanks, for the info." Issei thanked the buxom fallen angel
"You can thank me by taking out Raynare and her forces, as soon as possible…The faster this entire mess is done with the better." Kalawarner replied
"Now then, I'm going to teleport and let you go on about your business. Because you are going to have your hands full pretty soon." Kalawarner said as a secondary magic circle formed in her hands
"Wait! How the hell do I beat a powerhouse fallen angel?!" Issei asked
"Simple, you do it as you would with anything else…Beat the living shit out of it til it can't move anymore. That being said, good luck." Kalawarner said before with clap of her hands she vanished in a flash of aquamarine and teal-colored light
"Great, Now I gotta fight against what's essentially gonna be a Dark Souls boss on steroids…Crapbaskets, just freaking crabaskets right now." Issei said to himself as he walked home lamenting the fact that he now had to protect his home against a new level of b.s
'I just hope that Aika is ready for a whole-ton crap coming out way, 'cause what the actual FUCK is my life turning into right now.' Issei said to himself knowing he was gonna be in for it and then some
(3 days later, November 6th, 2018, Hyoudou Household, 4:20 Pm)
It would soon be the following Tuesday later as Issei was quick to have Aika come to his house after school hours and tell her about what Kalawarner had warned him about, and what they would soon be up against in the days to follow.
"So bottom line, we have to fight a group of fallen angels, and their death-squad of rogue exorcists; to stop them from taking over our town and killing are friends?" Aika questioned
"Yup! That's the long and short of it, basically. If we don't stop my crazy ex-girlfriend whose supposed to be a strong as hell fallen angel, and her minions. Then everything is fucked, and we can kiss everything we want to do for next year goodbye." Issei answered back on the condensed version of what had he'd been informed of by Kalawarner
"This is just fan-fucking-tastic. Here I was thinking that we could have the rest of the year to do what we want. Instead, we have to play guardian to our town of dickheads…Just our luck." Aika said lamenting the situation
"Hey, it was either we do this or let everything in the town get blown to bits…I'm not a fan of our home either, after we have to deal with those jerks at the Academy. But you and I both know it would be a gigantic dick move to let that happen; when we damn sure have the power to do something about it." Issei replied as his moral compass and resolve to be a better person simply wouldn't allow for these cretins to overrun his home
"As much as I don't want to do this, and I mean really don't. I'm in it for the long haul, Issei. After all, its like we've agreed on since 4th grade, your bullshit is my bullshit and so on and so forth." Aika said with a long sigh
"Besides, us perverts have to stick together, and I'd be a crappy friend and pervert-in-arms if I let you solo this stuff alone." Aika added knowing full well that her conscience wouldn't let her leave Issei to fight against the threat alone
"Thanks, Aika, I really appreciate this, a whole heck of a lot." Issei spoke to his fellow pervert
"Not a problem at all, Issei. Someone's gotta watch your back when those two idiots can't. Especially, since I've got enough firepower to cover both our backs." Aika told him with a smug grin
"And I appreciate it...Now all we gotta do is survive this, the academy, and whatever other nonsense comes our way...God help us all in that case." Issei said with a wearisome grin at the hell that was coming there way
"So what even is the game plan to take these guys down? Since there has to be something up our sleeves we can do to these guys." Aika questioned as to how they were even going to do this
"I don't really have much to go with, since it has been barely been 3 days since I got our inside info. But the best things I could come up with are the following, starting with no matter what. We do not do solo fights against these idiots, there are too many of them and too little us. So no matter what we jump them on sight!" Issei told Aika knowing full well that working together as a tag-team was their best bet
"Basically just do what we've been doing for almost 2 months?" Aika questioned again
"Exactly! Because we may be trying to save our home, but I am not gonna go out of my way to act all honor-bound and run the ones' with any of them...That right there is just asking for trouble." Issei answered back
"Alright, what's the other thing in mind for our master game plan?" Aika questioned
"Number 2 on the list is that we do the whole thing of one part ambush, and the other part shock and awe. Since as long as we're at a numbers disadvantage; even if we're super strong. That going at these guys directly is a suicide mission waiting to happen." Issei responded
"That's why we're doing this as sneakily as possible, and hitting them in one major go and getting the hell back outta there. Because there's no way in hell I'm letting us go into a firefight when we're outnumbered 30 to 1. So our greatest strength right now, is going to be sticking together." Issei added
What with the brunette teen knowing full well that even with the sheer magnitude of his powers, and Aika's abilities combined that while they were a fearsome duo to be reckoned with, the newly minted Red Dragon Emperor didn't want to take any chances whatsoever with a threat this extreme.
"So what we're doing some Assassin's Creed shenanigans then?" Aika asked
"Pretty much, as again its stealth on top of shock and awe that's gonna help us beat these guys. Because I do not wanna chance it unless we absolutely have too. So once we spot one of these guys, we get in, fuck them up, and get right the hell out, end of story." Issei answered back knowing that the smart thing to do was to do it sneakily and as an ambush predator
"If that's the case, then I think I have a few techniques or two that I've been working on; that might help us." Aika told Issei
"Really?! That's awesome!" Issei asked
"Yeah, as I figured that hey I might well make a few moves that can help me be a badass ninja. Since I never know when the time is gonna call for it, and surprise, surprise it happened to be this occasion." Aika replied in having had a few in the works for the moment she needed to disappear and and be a whole ninja on somebody
"Well, shit that definitely makes things easier on us." Issei said back
"Trust me, it is gonna make us super effective; when we go and sneak up on people. Since no one is gonna see, hear, or even smell what we bring to the table." Aika told him with a smug grin across her face
"All I can say is, I can't wait to see what other stuff on top of this you can do." Issei said
"Same here, and what's the other rule we've got before I ask what I'm gonna ask?" Aika questioned
"That's easy, Aika. We stay in contact and keep each other posted in case we do get separated. That is the most important one of all." Issei told her
"Do we wanna invest in headsets then? Since there should be some we can get on the East-End of town." Aika suggested to her fellow pervert
"That would be great actually. We can do that this Friday, and have everything set up to get going." Issei replied on-board with said suggestion
"Awesome. Now the other thing I wanted to ask is, how are your powers coming along? I know that you've been getting better with them since we started training. But I wanted to personally hear it from you, how everything is working out." Aika asked
"To be honest, everything is going a lot better than what I could've ever expected!" Issei said enthusiastically over the progress he's made with his powers thus far
"Since it's thanks to you that I'm getting even half as good as I am now. Because, I'm pretty sure that my everything is getting stronger, I'm making all these cool super moves, and hell I'm getting better control on them too at double if not triple the rate I would've thought I could do alone…All thanks to you, Aika." Issei said with a thankful smile to the bespectacled pervert
"It isn't a problem at all, Issei. Besides, who better to help you out than someone with cursed superpowers like mine." Aika said back with a smug grin on her face
"And I am extremely grateful and blessed to have you as one of my partners, in this crazy crapshow that is my life…Honestly, I don't know what I would do without you half the time." Issei spoke thankful to have her along for the ride
"Someone has to make sure you don't do something recklessly stupid out there." Aika replied with a snarky but penultimately caring smile
"Well, with all that being said and our game plan locked in…What do you want to do now?" Issei asked his fellow pervert
"We can watch Highschool of the Dead and Baki on Netflix if your up for it?" Aika replied
"Sure why not, I'm always up for riffing on that hot mess." Issei said back
"Great! I'll get the snacks ready, and you turn it on." Aika said as Issei nodded before the two got started for an anime night
'Thank you lord for blessing me with an awesome friend; like Aika. I swear in your name that I don't know what I'd do without her.' Issei said to himself thankful for Aika's presence in his life
(O.R.C Room, 2 hours later, 6:30 Pm)
Meanwhile, Rias and Sona were in the O.R.C room with Kiba and Tsubaki having delivered hard-sought files on what they could find on Issei's parentage, and while they could find nothing on any indication for his immense electrical powers; they did find something as if not more interesting.
"So in addition to being a descendant of Richard the Lionheart, one of the most famed Crusaders and Devil Slayers of his time. He is also the grandson of Vasco Strada, who is known as the Violence of Heaven for having destroyed 6 Houses of the the 72 Pillars into extinction…This is truly staggering information to learn indeed." Sona spoke seeing the fact that he descended from legendary holy warriors on either side of his family to be truly fascinating
"Honestly, the fact that he was not raised to become an exorcist is rather curious. Considering that ever since his revival he has shown the potential for massive amounts of wielding holy energy. So much so that it is rather frightening how much he has in reserve, and yet has either not used it or does not know how to do so." Sona further remarked regarding the vast amount of holy energy that was within Issei
"Not only does he have immense power of lightning and its associated variations, from what we have had reported to us. But to have him also descend from 2 incredibly powerful exorcists as well…Just when I thought that Issei couldn't prove anymore interesting, I find myself being even more surprised than what I thought." Rias said finding herself ever the more impressed and intrigued by Issei the more she found out about him
"This is not even accounting for whatever his Sacred Gear might be…Honestly, it is a good thing that you suggested we increase our strength, Rias. Otherwise, even if we had access to mutation pieces. Then I sincerely doubt we would have been able to recruit him." Sona replied
"Besides, it has been beneficial in the end. Since I have been able to improve my Power of Destruction more than what I thought possible." Rias spoke conjuring a small pyramid of P.O.D energy that this time around seemed more solid than the warbling erratic energy it usually was
"While your progress with your powers is commendable, Rias. I do feel we should get to the matter at hand; of what to do with not only Issei, but also Aika Kiryuu as well." Sona said as Rias crushed the small construct in her hands
"What is so special about her that it has caught your attention, Sona?" Rias asked
"It is the fact that she is the possessor of 2 of the Vritra Sacred Gears, and possesses a level of strength that is marginally greater than if not equal to Issei's own. Which is by far astonishing in and of itself considering that she shows a level of strength and endurance that greater than even Tsubasa's and by far and large dwarfs Koneko's." Sona answered back regarding the level of physicality and abilities that Aika wielded
"How much strength could she possibly have if she is able to dwarf Koneko's?" Rias asked curiously
"Enough to the point that Ruruko and Tsubasa had reported of her having fought against and choked 3 hill giants to death single-handedly. All by virtue of doing so with her bare-hands no less, while with Issei…Something about a bet that she couldn't do it, and that Issei would owe her a 'solid' if she accomplished the feat." Sona answered as Rias's eyes widened at that information
"You're joking right?" Rias asked as Sona pulled out her phone
"I feel as though the video that Tsubasa took of the even last Friday will speak volumes...Even I found it hard to believe until she showed me the footage." Sona told Rias as she pressed play on the recording
From there Rias was treated to the sight of Aika in tandem with her Absorption Line not only brawling against the trio of hill giants, but doing so in astonishing fashion to the point of making such a thing look like childs' play despite the size advantage. What with her swinging around like spidermonkey delivering bone-shattering kicks, punches, knees and elbows to their body with such force that you could hear the snap of their bones and violent rippling of flesh as clear as a coin bouncing on the sidewalk, yet as promised was Aika strangling/choking them out in quick succession with such force that their heads popped off their shoulders.
"So as you can see, Rias. We are dealing with not only 1 but now 2 potentially wildly powerful assets to our peerages. I find it almost hard to believe that we have those of that power level hiding right under our noses for so long." Sona said after the video finished playing
"The only question is how to go about recruiting them to our side, and more to the point. What we can offer them to join us." Sona further spoke
"As much as I would like to say it will be easy to convince them. We have to take into account that the act of having them meet with us, much less joining our sides or peerages won't be easy." Rias replied
"And how do you know that, Rias? It can't be too hard to convince them. Even moreso when it is Issei Hyoudou we are talking about…Simply promise to let him grope him your breasts if he does, and he should come running quickly." Sona spoke not seeing how it would be difficult to convince said perverts
"Sona, I say this as respectfully as I can, as your friend…While you are incredibly intelligent, and are one of the smartest and most cunning people I know. You are lacking when it comes to emotional intelligence, and intuition of others." Rias said to a now somewhat offended-looking Sona
"As such you fail to understand that Issei Hyoudou and Aika Kiryuu are more than just there perversions. Contrary to how they act in the Academy, they are incredibly far more than just perverts who like to peep and prowl on the girls of the Academy…If anything they are both rather talented at what they love to do outside of it." Rias further spoke
"How so?" Sona questioned for more elaboration
"For all of our looking into Issei, to see where the origin of his power comes from. It wasn't until recently that I had realized that I would need more than playing upon his lust to convince him to join. That was why I started to do my own looking around into what he likes more than busty women and hentai, and too my surprise there is far more too him than what I could have anticipated." Rias answered back as she went on her phone to Issei's Youtube page
"As it turns out Issei is a rather skilled artist and animator, if this is any indication." Rias said as she pulled up said page that had a staggering 627K Subscribers
"In addition, with what Akeno and Kiba had found from talking to the teachers in the academy. The one subject Issei excels in is his art class, so much so that despite everything he has become the teachers' assistant due to his love of it." Rias further spoke
"It seems as though you really have done your research, Rias. Color me impressed." Sona said back surprised to see this level of work from her red-haired counterpart
"As I told you before, Sona. I am incredibly invested in having Issei join me, and hopefully my peerage as well. So if I can learn more about him to ensure than then that I am more than happy to do so." Rias replied having so much invested into having powerful potential allies/servants on her side that she was willing to do the hard work to make it happen
"Then I have to tip my hat to you, then. Since I didn't think you were willing to go the extra mile over him. This alongside the fact you are taking your training seriously has me impressed." Sona said almost stunned to see Rias put so much hard work into something
"However, don't think that this means that you've won just yet. There is still more than enough time to change the odds in my favor before winter break begins." Sona added still confident that she could sway Issei and possibly Aika towards her side
"We'll see, but for now I'd say that my chances are far greater than yours. Hopefully, Issei won't mind being one of my cute servants. Perhaps, if he wouldn't mind could do a few pieces for me." Rias said back with a hopeful look after seeing some of his artwork he's posted and had to say that calling it top-notch would be an understatement
"Very well then, but the best of luck too you in convincing those two to join your side…The grandson of the Violence of Heaven and a wielder of the Prison Dragon's power under our noses…Who would've thought." Sona said as she rose from her seat and began to leave to head home
'I just hope that even if I can't convince them to join my peerage, that they will still join with me. I wouldn't mind having company as 'interesting' as them by my side.' Rias said to herself in good spirits
(The next night, Downtown Kuoh Town, 9:33 Pm, November 7th, 2018)
That being said in the midst of the following night as after a tense battle with a elder Behir, our duo were now at a local burger joint in town with Asia and Freed who had luckily come to assist them in dealing with the frustrating monster; who only requested that in getting something to eat that they could speak with Issei.
"So let me get this straight, I'm a what now?!" Issei asked in confusion
"So to put it simply, Issei, that is what a Conduit is. A person who has superhuman abilities and powers." Asia said after finishing her overarching explanation of what a Conduit was
"Basically, like the X-men from Marvel if that makes it any better?" Freed added to a confused-looking Issei
"Ok cool, so to sum it all up. You guys tracked me down after my powers kicked in, and want me to join up with you guys." Issei said wanting to make sure he got everything correct
"Yes, we are on the run given our…'circumstances' we have had to constantly move from one place to the other. So we would appreciate it if you would partner with us, and help us defend against threats that would come our way." Asia requested
"Well, considering that you guys are kind of fucked and have nowhere to stay at the moment. Then sure, I don't mind joining with you guys on one condition." Issei said to the duo
"What is it?" Asia questioned
"Here's the thing, my home is about to get its shit rocked by some fallen angels and their exorcist death squad…So far its myself and Aika here that are in the way of that, and any help we can get would be appreciated." Issei answered back
"So if you guys can help us beat these fallen angel jerks and their goons, then consider me as part of your little group." Issei added
"What do you say, Father Freed? Are you ok with these terms?" Asia asked as Freed finished his cheeseburger
"You kidding me, we get a powerhouse on our side and all we have to do is kill a bunch of shitty fallen angel fucks?! Sign me the fuck up for this shit, I'm IN!" Freed borderline exclaimed all in for butchering them if that was all it took
"So we basically have a super paladin and a frost witch on our side. Honestly, sounds like a pretty good set up." Aika said liking that their set-up was stronger than ever
"I would appreciate it if you did not call me a witch…I know that you mean it in a positive light, but I have had many very horrid experiences in being called such, and would appreciate it if you did not call me it again." Asia requested having been called a witch, heretic and so many other things that it still made her heart twinge from those hurtful words
"My bad, I'll try to remember that for later." Aika apologized
"Thank you, I appreciate it very much." Asia spoke with a thankful nod
"...Anyways, what the fuck is your guys's strategy for dealing with these black-winged bastards? Since you two gotta have something cooked up?" Freed asked on how this was even going to go down to begin with
"So far, we've made it a thing of not doing any direct confrontations since they have a huge numbers advantage on us. Which is why we're gonna ambush them, hit them as hard as we can, and then get the fuck out before they can call for backup." Issei told the former exorcist
"On top of that we're making sure that we keep in contact with each other at all times, and not doing any solo fights sine we don't wanna risk it. Plus, we're making sure that no matter what we do everything possible to just straight up bully them in a fight." Aika added as to what their game plan was
"Since we are not gonna take any chances with who knows what they under their sleeves. Which is why we are jumping them on sight." Issei further spoke
"That actually isn't a half-bad game plan you two have cooked up, since you have next to shit to work with. So kudos on you for that." Freed said to the pair of perverts
"Thanks, and to be honest with you. We are really out of our depth on this. We're used to taking out monsters and the occasional weirdo, but an entire army like this…That is something else entirely." Aika replied still feeling it to be surreal over fighting fallen angels and an entire army
"Lucky for you two, we've been fighting against things like that for ages…Well, I have for most of my life; Asia here while not green as can be, is still able to cut up when she wants to! Trust me, she is a certified menace if I have ever seen one...Makes a man proud to see their own fuck shit up." Freed said back with a proud smile on his face
"While I am, proud to hear you sing my praises. I am not too overly fond of violence." Asia spoke not being the biggest fan of killing
"Hey, I'm just saying that you are definitely a natural, when it comes to beating the shit out of people...Hell, at this point, you're a walking Mortal Kombat fatality, and its super fucking awesome!" Freed spoke happy to see Asia be a menace on the battlefield when possible
"We could tell when she froze an entire whatever that was into a giant popsicle." Issei remarked in regards to Asia's cryokinesis
"That would be a Behir you came across and an elder one at that…I honestly did not think they were in Japan, usually their in the Americas' or in the Isles." Asia informed them
"Wait like in D&D?" Issei asked
"Yup! A lot of monsters you'd see in movies, D&D, comics you name it are real. I mean if fallen angels are real, don't you think that monsters and other bullshit would be real too?" Freed answered back
"Honestly, after how crazy things have been since I've gotten my powers. I've just learned that at a certain point; that you just go ahead roll with it. Because the more I ask, the more of a headache I get from how absolutely nuts everything is now." Issei said knowing that the more questions he wanted to ask the more it made his head spin
"Trust me, you two have barely scratched the surface of what's out there." Freed replied while finishing up the last bits of food he ordered
"How much more is out there?" Aika questioned
"I think that it would be better if we waited until after the current threat is dealt with, to further inform you about the supernatural. Given that there are many things to tell you about, yet the threat of these fallen angels supercedes that." Asia spoke feeling that it would be best to wait until it was all done and dealt with before telling them more
"That sounds fair; since we are going to need all hands on deck to deal with what comes next. Especially, when we have to deal with a literal army at our front door." Aika spoke knowing things were only going to get more intense from here
"Huh, I think that settles it then…We're all one big giant team I guess." Issei said as well
"Yep! Anyways, here's Asia's and mine's number to keep in contact with, down the line since all of are fucking shit up together." Freed said as he rose from his seat to let Asia out of the booth
"Anyways, Asia and I are gonna head back to our hotel room since its getting a bit late. It was nice meeting you two, and…you seem like a pretty alright guy, Issei." Freed further spoke to the electrically powered teenager
"Thanks, you too," Iseei said back as Freed and Asia soon took their leave
"That, honestly went a lot better than I expected…So now it's me a human lightning rod, you someone who can drain people's powers, and shoot cursed flames at people, a super-duper-uber paladin, and someone who's basically Iceman if he were an adorable nun who dresses like a brightly colored goth chick. Tch, honestly a pretty solid line up if you ask me." Issei spoke once he saw them leave the restaurant
"Hey, I'm not gonna argue with more backup. If anything I'm here for it, I just hope that its enough to get us through whatever's coming our way." Aika replied
"Well, we are just going to have to take a blind leap of faith and hope that it'll work out. We can not really be all too picky about who we have on our side right now." Issei said back as he and Aika paid their tab and soon left the restaurant
"Fair point, Issei. So what do we do now?" Aika asked
"Call it a night, meet up tomorrow, and discuss more on what to do against the fallen angels and their death-squad." Issei told Aika on what he was doing for the night
"Ok, well, I'll see you tomorrow then." Aika said as she got a running start and fired off a Absorption Line tendril to swing into the night with
'At least, now we stand a better chance than we used too…Dear lord, I hope so.' Issei said to himself before he went off to the side to say a prayer
"Dear Lord in Heaven, if you can hear me. Please give Aika, myself and our new allies the strength to fight against and defeat these angels fallen from your grace. I ask this in your name, so I can protect my home from whatever evils they may try to unleash upon it. In your glorious name I pray, amen." Issei said hoping to God that whatever they'd do against the Fallen Angels would work in the days to come
So with Issei and Aika having now formulated a plan in the works to take on Raynare and her army, as well as gained new allies in Asia and Freed to assist them; the stage sets itself for the looming battle for Kuoh Town to soon begin. So that takes care of that as Asia and Freed officially join our intrepid heroes in the upcoming fight against Raynare, as well as Rias and Sona beginning to make their moves to secure Issei and now Aika on to their sides; which is gonna be neat to dive into on how they handle both sides of that. Furthermore, I want to continue to say thank you for everyone sticking around to see the story continue as we develop further into things as it means a lot that your all willing to do so, and as such I hope you and anyone else that wants to see what comes out of the story will stick around for all the future shenanigans to come.

Now then onto some of the reviews from the previous installment.
Obsidian Nova Arc: Glad you liked the chapter, good buddy. Also, its gonna be awhile before they go up against Raynare herself. Also, the whole armor idea won't really happen till I get to the New Marais arc I'm planning out. Given that it'll have a lot more to work with; among some other things I can pull of there that I can't while our heroes are in Kuoh Town. Also, we have a bit longer until Issei can get to his Boosted Gear considering that he's still figuring things out while having to deal with Raynare's group and her hit-squad of fallen angels, as well as his powers overall, much less a Balance Breaker. That being said I do plan on it giving him abilities to compliment his lightning powers furhter to make him even more of a menace in a scrap.
Guest: Glad you like what I've done with Riser, Vali, Freed, and Asia so far. Since I wanted to make them less than just one-note characters that you usually see in stories. So here's to hoping I stick the landing in fleshing them out in the future.
Skull Flame: That's fair as INfamous has been out for awhile, so I get it more often than not that everyone's not gonna know about everything that goes into it. Oh yeah, Issei does a lot with him doing art commissions, animations for his Youtube channel which is massive at the state it is at over 500K subs, as well as making Cosplays for people which has him working on a rather aggressive work schedule. Also, yup he is the grandson of the Violence of Heaven, and as for what Issei's mother does for a living I will be saving that when the end of the Fallen Angel arc comes up, but I think it will make sense for when it is revealed. Also, at this moment does have half of the Vritra gears and as such does use them from what I've written in ways that I wish they did get used in canon. Plus, I'm glad you like how I'm portraying Riser and Vali so far, since I wanted to mix things up and have Riser not be a douchebag for the 1,700th time like in every other story and as for Sona and Rias, I'm planning on developing them further as the story goes on as its just now that things are still in their setting up stage. For Koneko its basically her canon reasons as to why she doesn't like Issei, and not much beyond that. That being said with Raynare being Kokabiel's daughter she is gonna be a lot stronger than her canon self, that's for sure, as well as I'm glad you like the relationship between Freed and Asia, since expect some future moments where Asia does go a bit unhinged since being with Freed and having him as your guardian will make you become a violent menace overtime.
