„Ok, that's going to be interesting."

[Welcome Player! This is your one and only Player System! Due to Player reincarnation in the word where fighting prowess and overall power are essential, it was determined that Player has an insufficient qualifications to exist in such environment, therefore creation of the Player System was needed to support Player efforts!]

"This is certainly one way to say that I suck" Irene grumbled irately, while sitting on a plush armchair located in her room. It has been 5 years since she reincarnated into the world of Damn Reincarnation, and she still could not believe what has happened. Despite reading uncountable number of novels, she did not expect to be an unwilling participant of one. Irene massaged her brows in frustration and read on.

[Player System will not be granting stats management to the Player, the only help that will be given includes Skill Creation and additional Perks that can be unlocked by the Player]

"Oh, come on! At least give me something to work with" Irene groaned in dismay, what's the point of the System if not to micromanage everything like a true gamer.

[Skill acquisition … commencing]

"Better be something good" Irene leaded into her armchair and looked at the blue semi-transparent screen that folates before her eyes with anticipation.

[Skill acquisition … successful. Obtained skills are as follows]

[Thought Acceleration (lvl 1) - significant increase in user's thought processing speed. The acceleration varies from a few times to thousands depending on the level of the skill.]

[Parallel Processing (lvl 1) - user can maintain multiple trains of thought at the same time, the number of the though fragmentations depend on the level of the skill.]

[Analyze and Assess (Max) - allows the user to analyze and appraise a target. The analytical prowess of this skill depends on the user. Different users gather more information with different means (i.e., sight, touch, consumption), however most users can gather information with multiple approaches. The amount of information acquired also depends on the knowledge the user has about the targets concept.]

[All of Creation (Max) - allows the user to comprehend anything as long as they have a basic understanding of it, and it is perceivable to the user.]

[Chant Annulment (Max) - eliminates the need for chanting when using magic after a spell is analyzed or successfully cast. The spell is stored in the user's mind and available to be cast just by thinking about its activation.]

[Player System congratulates the Player on acquiring the skills needed for survival! System also informs the Player that in order to check the Skill Progression the Player needs to issue command "Skill Tree", in order to check the existing Perks, the Player need to issue command "Perk Tree"]

[With this, Player System concludes its task of aiding the Player in surviving the new world! Player System wishes the Player good luck in their adventure in their second life!]

With the last announcement the blue screen dematerialized like it was never there to begin with. Irene sat there gob smacked, unable to utter a single coherent sentence.

Suddenly, Irene eyes widened, and her mouth opened in silent scream. Head splitting pain assaulted her brain, as if someone tried to fragment her mind in multiple parts – which was probably true as Parallel Processing adjusted her mind to several new streams of thoughts. With heavy breath Irene sat up from the slouch and tried to get used to new sensation, it was truly disconnecting, thinking several different things at the same time with no difficulty whatsoever, at the moment she could split her mind up to 3 times. Few minutes passed and the alien sensation started to go away as she become more accustomed to it. Looking at the small table before her she picked up the book she was reading before System window appeared. It was nothing to fancy, the history of Aroth, it's kings and magical advancement since the times of First Magic King. Irene opened the book at the last page she finished her reding and began to study once more, but this time the difference was quite noticeable. You know what they say, repetition is the mother of learning, well she read the same chapter 3 times in the span of time that would take to read it once, she tried to read different part at the same time, but it was to chaotic for her liking, it seems she need a lot of practice to get used to this. The best comparison she could think of was how typically a computer scientist will divide a complex task into multiple parts with a software tool and assign each part to a processor, then each processor will solve its part, and the data is reassembled by a software tool to read the solution or execute the task. Each processor will operate normally and will perform operations in parallel as instructed, pulling data from the computer's memory. Processors will also rely on software to communicate with each other so they can stay in sync concerning changes in data values. Assuming all the processors remain in sync with one another, at the end of a task, software will fit all the data pieces together.

"Now, what will happened when I use Thought Acceleration?" Irene mused and focused on the next chapter of the book, while simultaneously looking at a grandfather clock standing nearby. Reading one chapter took her around 15 min – it was a lengthy book – then with acceleration of 100 times it should take around 9 seconds to finish, assuming she would read in the undisturbed manner without a delay in the form of flipping pages, with physical restrains it should take around 26 seconds to finish the chapter. Irene concentrated and started reading, for her time seemed to slow down, when she tried to flip to the next page, her hand moved as it was submerged in water. She finished reading the chapter in 30 sec, slightly longer then she predicted but the enormous difference was palpable.

Irene closed the book and put it on the small table, then she focused on her other skill such as All of Creation. On paper this sounds like an omnipotent power, unfortunately it is not. To summarize, user can basically understand most obvious physics and science phenomenon that took humanity the past several thousands of year to learn and more. Like for example, if you had all of creation and saw rust, you'd understand that's just iron oxidizing, ice melting you'd understand that's a change in state from solid to liquid, friction is kinetic energy being converted to heat, electricity passes through water and metal because of its high conductivity. This also applies to magical phenomena as well, but it's important to remember the unhidden part, so understanding high level spells and unique power is out of the equation. If correctly used all of creation is an extremely powerful weapon. Chant Annulment is rather self-explanatory, the sure can cast spells without incantation, which is also a huge bonus. Usually, magic users are immobile and need specific prep time to cast a spell, this skill should reduce this disadvantage significantly. The last skill that needed tasting was Analyze and Assess, Irene once again laid her eyes on the book that she previously read. Just from watching she can conclude that the book was made from paper and animal skin around 80 years ago. The wood used to form the paper is native to the Kingdom of Aroth and the skin is of a cow. The number of pages is 1230 and that the ornaments on the cover are made with spell forged gold. Irene could not determine the if there were some kind of enchantments etched into the book. To do that she need to use her mana to sense - witch she could not do at the moment due to her lack of training in that regard.

The enormity of the situation left her head spinning with possibilities, countless ideas flooded her brain. But one prevalent thought sticked out more than the others.

"Holy fuck! I am absolutely stacked!" exclaimed Irene "Who cares that I am some discount Rimuru, this changes the everything!" Irene laughed in delight at the prospect of not dying the first time she tried to do something resembling interaction with main storyline.
