Percy lounged in between the pilot and co-pilot's seats where Clint and Natasha were flying the quinjet towards Manhattan. He was slowly twisting the shark-tooth necklace he always wore in between his fingers.
Behind him, he could hear Jason and Annabeth quietly talking to each other. Steve was sitting across from them, running his fingers across his shield.
Everyone's thoughts were serious. From what Percy could tell everyone was worrying about what was about to happen.
To be fair he was feeling the same way.
Whatever was about to happen was going to change things. Percy could almost sense that this was important.
Percy let out a small breath, trying to focus his attention away from Clint's mind which was still embroiled with pain from whatever Loki had done to him. . . and probably the concussion that Natasha had given him earlier.
He looked up when Natasha spoke up, "Drop zone in ten, Percy."
Percy nodded to her and straightened up, heading over to where he and Clint had lashed his bike. He began to unstrap it. Once the bike was unstrapped, Percy rolled it towards the quinjets ramp.
Steve was waiting for him by the button that would open the ramp for him to ride his bike out.
"See you in Manhattan," Percy told the Captain with a light grin.
Steve nodded to him, before speaking in his comm to Stark. "Sharks on his way to join you, Tony."
"Copy, Cap," Stark responded. "Tell him to move his fishy butt."
Percy rolled his eyes and got onto his bike. He gave Steve a short nod and the quinjets hanger door slid open, revealing the bright blue sky dotted with clouds.
He started up the bike and revved the engine, flicking one of his favorite buttons.
In that instant, the bike's engine revving changed. The wheels twisted onto their sides as Percy carefully placed his feet onto the footholds along the bike. The bike was propelled by the same systems that the Helicarrier and the quinjet had.
Percy smirked when he noticed Annabeth's awed expression before shooting forward down the ramp and into the open sky.
He always did love whenever someone new saw what his bike could do.

Percy caught up to Stark a short while later, sliding into place at the armored hero's side as they both flew towards Stark tower. The tower stood out among all the other buildings in Manhattan from the huge words 'Stark Industries' that stood out on top.
"Nice place," Percy noted, remembering how he had been heading up the elevator of the tower just a few days ago.
"Just don't destroy it, Shark Boy," Stark told him.
Percy rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses. "Honestly Stark, I don't blow up buildings anymore."
Stark said nothing for a moment before stating, "JARVIS has found someone on the roof."
Percy nodded his head, reaching up and flicking on his sunglasses. He peered through them, picking up one heat signature on the roof and another on the main parapet that probably led to Stark's office.
"I'm picking up two heat signatures," Percy told Stark as they arrived at the tower, heading for the very top of building.
Percy tensed slightly when he caught sight of Dr. Selvig standing beside a strange machine connected to a computer.
"Shut it down, Dr. Selvig," Stark ordered, causing the mind-controlled man to turn and face them.
Percy focused his attention on Selvig's mind, intent on kicking Loki out of the doctor's head.
While he focused, Selvig began to jabber.
"It's too late!" He called up to them. "She can't stop now. She wants to show us something! A new universe."
Percy could hear the annoyance in Stark's voice as he muttered, "Okay."
Iron Man held out his hand, and Percy realized what he was about to do about a second before he fired on the machine.
"Wait!"
It was too late.
The Tesseract deflected the shot back at them, knocking both Stark and Percy back. Percy barely managed to hold on to his bike's handles. He nearly screamed when Selvig's mind exploded with pain before blacking out.
Percy shuddered, eyes flicking over the doctor's body as he distantly heard Stark hiss into the comm. "Reindeer Games is below us, Jackson."
Percy shook his head and glanced downwards toward where Stark was indicating.
Loki was gazing up at them, a smirk clear on his face.
He glanced over at Stark, narrowing his eyes in confusion as he took in Stark slowly lowering himself down towards the platform below them.
"What are you doing, Stark?" Percy demanded.
Iron Man landed onto the platform and began to walk down the platform, robotic arms reaching up to pull off his armor.
"Keeping him occupied."
Percy hesitated for a moment before shrugging and flicking another button on his bike, the spinning blades slowly lowering him to the platform too as Loki headed inside to meet Stark.
With another flick of the first button, the wheels reverted, and Percy parked his bike. He slipped off it and headed inside after Loki, keeping his mind focused on the gods alien mind just in case.
As Percy slipped in behind Loki, keeping the god blocked in from behind, the god spoke to Stark, "Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity."
Percy glared at Loki's back as he leaned against one of the windows that blocked off the office from the open air.
"Uh – actually, I'm planning to threaten you," Stark informed the god casually.
Loki scoffed as he moved closer to the billionaire. "You should have left your armor on for that."
"Yeah, it's seen a bit of mileage," Stark told the god, shooting a glance over at Percy as he spoke. He gestured towards the staff clutched in Loki's hand. "You've got the uh – blue stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?"
He headed over to his minibar as he talked, and Percy actually rolled his eyes at the billionaire's clear choice of misdirection.
"Stalling me won't change anything," Loki said, stalking closer, like a lion on the prowl.
"No, no, no – threatening." Stark corrected, as he grabbed a bottle. "No drink? You sure? What about you, Agent Jackson?"
Percy raised an eyebrow behind his sunglasses. "It's illegal to offer drinks to minors, Stark."
Stark paused at that for a moment, shrugged, and then said, "Suit yourself. I'm having one."
Loki had stalked towards the windows while they were talking. Percy eyed him carefully as the god studied the open sky.
"The Chitauri are coming, nothing will change that," Loki said, before turning back to face both of them. "What have I to fear?"
"The Avengers," Stark said, as he popped the cork back into the bottle. Loki stared at him for a moment, and the billionaire continued. "It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes' type of thing."
As he talked, he walked down the stairs toward Loki. Percy pushed himself off the windowpane and stalked towards the gods back.
Loki chuckled as they both came to a stop, surrounding the god on both sides. "Yes, I've met them."
"Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one," Stark admitted with a shrug as he took a sip of his drink. "But let's do a head count here. Your brother, the demi-god;" – Percy flinched at the words 'demi-god' and Loki's sneered at him when he noticed – "A super-soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues, a kid who can both read minds and move objects with his own; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."
Percy smirked at that, and crossed his arms over his chest, eyes burning into Loki's back as the god said, "That was the plan."
Tony stalked closer to the god, eyes blazing, "Not a great plan. When the come, and they will, they'll come for you."
"I have an army," Loki spat.
"We have a Hulk."
Well, they sort of had a Hulk. Percy didn't know where Banner had ended up after the attack on the Helicarrier. But if Stark truly believed Banner would come back, Percy would give him the point on that one.
Loki snickered darkly, "Oh, I thought the beast had wandered off."
Stark shook his head in disgust, "Yeah – you're missing the point. There's no throne, there is no version of this, where you come out on top."
Percy nodded in agreement to the billionaire's words. Loki meanwhile had stopped moving and was staring straight at Stark with a huge amount of aggression. Percy tensed keeping his gaze fixed on Loki's back, ready for whatever he attempted.
"Maybe your army come and maybe it's too much for us," Stark was continuing, "but it's all on you. 'Cause if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well we'll avenge it."
"Hear, hear," Percy called, eyes not moving from Loki's back as the god started moving again. There was some kind of dark intent in his thoughts now that made Percy tense in anticipation of whatever was to come.
Loki stopped in front of Stark, pointing his scepter at the man.
"How will your friends have time for me," the god started with a devilish air in his thoughts that made Percy tense in realization, "when they're so busy fighting you?"
Percy darted forward; arm outstretched to rip the god away from Stark. His movements were too slow, because the scepter touched Stark's chest, a blue power rushing out towards the billionaire's chest, before suddenly being repelled.
Percy stopped in his tracks, head starting to tilt in confusion as he felt Loki's own surprise.
Loki frowned and tried again.
The same thing happened.
"This usually works," the god complained.
"Well performance issues. You know?" Stark said lightly, glancing at Percy over the god's shoulder and giving him a nod.
Percy started forward again.
At that moment, Loki grabbed Stark by the throat and threw him across the room. Percy cursed, "Stark!"
Loki spun towards him, the scepter powering up. Percy didn't have time to move out of the range of fire before he was blasted backwards by the blue energy.
He flew backwards slamming into the opposite wall, before crumbling to the floor, groaning in pain.
That was unpleasant.
