Chapter 5: The Dream

Anakin finally making it to the ship and would head towards the crew quarters of the ship. Then would go to sit on the bed as he felt tired and couldn't really stay or doing anything. But would try to take out his commlink so he could talk to Barriss about what just happened. He would fall on the bed face first laying face down across the bed of the quarters. Before he knew it, he was also passed out in a coma like sleep. The meeting continued almost not finishing by midnight before they finished the meeting in all in agreement. Obi Wan was going to head back to the ship but was stopped by the prime minister "Master Jedi a moment please?" Obi Wan would nod while get out of his chair folding his arms as he approached the Prime Minister.

Anakin would open his eyes seeing he was in a dark almost space like place. As he was lying down, he would put his hands on the ground or what he thought was a ground as it was some kind of liquid based platform. Slowly getting up Anakin would look around in wonder as he had never seen anything like this before but believes he is in a dream. As he looked, he would notice little, small dots of light and the platforms were paths and some went off into circle shaped rings. As he continued, he would see a figure on the ground of the platform ahead. Running to it he would notice it was Barriss. Calling out her name he would continue towards her as he got close Barriss would open her eyes somewhat confused as to where she was. "Anakin?" Barriss asked confused "Yes, its me" replies Anakin reaching out his hand to help Barriss up as both think they are having dreams about each other. "Where are we?" Barriss asks while reaching out for Anakin's hand. "I don't know never been here before" Anakin replies lifting Barriss to her feet. Both would then start walking side by side as they both pondered what was going on.

As they continued their walk together as they explored where they were. They would start hearing voices and noises they didn't recognize but looking around Anakin and Barriss would notice they were coming from the Rings that were all over the place. Walking up to one of them, they would notice a glass like mirror in the rings. All a sudden the glass start the materialize and looking in they would see two Jedi one human female with a blue double-bladed lightsaber and the other a Zabrak male with a green lightsaber facing off against two Sith Warriors one with a crimson double-bladed and the other with a single crimson bladed lightsaber but both Anakin and Barriss couldn't tell what the Sith were as they wore black hood cloaks. The female Jedi was locking blades with the Sith with the single blade lightsaber, while the Zabrak jedi was fight the double bladed one. The Sith would knock the female Jedis' lightsaber out of her hands knocking her down to her knees. The Zabrak saw the Sith making the final blow on his padawan and force pushing the Sith he was dueling with and threw his lightsaber in the direction of the Sith making the final blow but stopping it with an accurate throw with it returning to him to defend himself. With Anakin smirking while thinking that was a great move. The Female jedi would then kick the Sith She was fighting knocking him away into debris. They didn't know where this was all they could tell was that they were fighting in some kind of hanger of a space port. Anakin would look at Barriss wondering as he said, "What is this?" Barriss would look at Anakin then back at the battle unfolding before stating "I am not sure" as she looked on in confusion. But before they could see how it end the images turned back into the clear like mirror it was before. Both would look at each other in confusion. What just happened they both thought but hearing each others' thoughts but would think they just said it out loud but that was far form the truth as the force bond between the two were getting strong as the day's past.

They would walk the area until they got to the next ring, which would show a battle going on. It was taking place on Coruscant as the army of the republic fought an unknown species that looked like some kind of pale Orcish goblin looking creatures. The battle would continue as the Ring dematerializes leaving no answers. As they continued to the next ring, images would start appearing much like the other one did. As they got closer to the ring, they would see a green and blue planet with two suns and three moons as like a drone was filming something. As the view went into the planet, they would see it covered in oceans and rainforests with different creatures and a species they did not recognize. Then heading off the planet they would see a ship heading towards the planet then a flash of light and after seeing a dust filled brown planet it would go back to the planet seeing nothing but sand on the planet as the images fade away again. Anakin thought the planet looked like Tatooine. But then shaking it off Barriss and Anakin would continue going toward another one they would see as the images started materializing a ceremony of some sort, they saw tons of jedi all standing looking towards the altar in the room where two jedi a female and male were staring into each others' eyes while some sort of priest stood by them saying something that Anakin nor Barriss could hear. The two Jedi staring at each other would finally kiss before the images dematerialized. Anakin would then look at Barriss asking "What is going on here?" with Barriss shrugging her shoulders while saying "I'm not sure I think it might be past events, but I am in just as much confused as you are." Turning towards Anakin to look at him. "What do you think this means?" She asks more concerned than before. Anakin would stare at her a bit trying to figure out something to say. "Barriss I…" Anakin is then stopped in his tracks hearing something at totally shocked him to the bone. Anakin would walk aimlessly toward the noises that he couldn't stop hearing. With Barriss not paying attention to what was going as she was still looking around at everything in her direction. But would pause "Anakin what were you going to say?" while turning in his direction then noticing he was walking down the opposite direction aimlessly. She would start following but far behind him. As Anakin got closer to the ring making the noises.

Looking into the Ring has it materialize images that would shock him he would see a volcanic planet with an older version of himself and an older version of Obi Wan clashing lightsabers in fury. Locked together Obi Wan would backflip off the platform they were on that was hovering over a lava river on to the heights of the bank of the river. Obi Wan then shouting "It's over Anakin! I have the high ground." Anakin looking frustrated on the platform looking at Obi Wan saying "You underestimate my power!" Shaking his head Obi Wan would reply "Don't try it!" leaping to flip over Obi Wan Anakin would then getting his three remaining limbs cut by Obi Wan as he got above him, tumbling to the shore of the lava river. Screaming in agony Anakin would continue trying to get his old master with his one remaining arm which was mechanical but using it to pull himself closer to Obi Wan but making no progress. Obi Wan would start crying with tear of pain as did Anakin watching his older self go down this road. Obi Wan would scream at the older Anakin. "You were the Chosen One, it was said you would destroy the Sith, not join them... Bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness!" Anakin Struggling to even move forward would scream in anger "I hate you!" Sighing Obi Wan with heartful tears he would say "You were my brother Anakin, I loved you." as Anakin starts catching on fire from the lava. Obi Wan would leave picking up Anakin's lightsaber as he would burn away.

But the Charol remains of Anakin would start move as the other Anakin continued to watch. The burnt Anakin would then look up almost staring into the other Anakin's eyes that was watching. As they both lock eyes the image would turn dark with a black mist coming from it. Anakin would be stepping back from the ring but then hearing a breathing noise like someone breathing with a respirator for help. As Anakin then started leaning his body in towards the ring to get a better look. An arm with black gloves and black robotic sleeves would burst out of the darkness in the ring saying "Come be with us Anakin" in a dark raspy voice. While grabbing Anakin's collar of his Jedi Tunic. Anakin would start panicking as he struggled around trying to get out of the arms grasp. Barriss finally catching up with Anakin would see what was going on and run to grab Anakin by the waist to pull him away from the arm. As all were struggling trying pull either Anakin into or away from the ring. The voice would say "Come Vader Join us." As Anakin stopped in his tracks hearing that name. The Arm would start pulling Anakin closer to the ring. When Barriss saw this, she screams "Anakin!" but not getting his attention would then without thinking about anything but saving Anakin she would use a force push on the arm breaking the grip and shattering the ring blowing both Anakin and Barriss away.

Both Anakin and Barriss awoke from there vision. As they both jolted up from their laying position. Barriss looking around her room as she sat up wondering what she just dreamt about not knowing that she wasn't in fact sleeping. Anakin also sat up from his position doing and thinking the same as Barriss. But would notice a shadowy figure in the doorway of the ships' quarters. "Finally awake I see" Obi Wan would say while walking in as Anakin noticed it was him. "Yes, Master sorry, are we leaving the planet now." Obi Wan would smirk while saying "We already left Xxorn we are at the Chancellors' Apartment Complex. Anakin looking confused asking "the Chancellor?" Obi Wan would get next to Anakin sitting on the bed Anakin was sitting on right beside him. "The Chancellor wants to talk to you. I don't get it, but the Council told me I must so just be careful Anakin and I still want to talk about what happened on Xxorn." as Obi Wan voice turned to concern while saying it. "Yes Master" Anakin would say while looking at Obi Wan in fear because of what he saw in the dream. Then getting up from the bed has walked toward the door, but before leaving to see the Chancellor he would turn back to Obi Wan saying "I love you like a brother Obi Wan" As he quickly walked away as the door shuts to the crew quarters. Obi Wan would sit there then a tear would slide down his cheek.

Obi Wan would continue to sit on the bed remembering on what the Prime Minister asked him. He asked "Master Jedi what happened in the Market. My guards told me that there was an incident there." Obi Wan would drop his arms as he was startled by the question but would answer "I am sorry, but I don't Prime Minister." The Prime Minister would then say. "I also Heard your padawan was involved." As he got closer using his crane to Obi Wan as the Prime Minister was an old human male. "I heard that too. I'm afraid he does not know what happened as well." Said Obi Wan As he crossed his arms. "Well, I heard that two Jedi were involved in a death of a citizen of my planet and maybe not look so good when joining the Republic unless maybe… we get a little more out of the deal." As the Prime Minister smirked, he would continue "Maybe the Republic pays more for our goods and we can push this under the table." Obi Wan would smirk himself while saying "Maybe you can also tell the Republic some of your goods are slaves as it's been outlawed in the Republic." Looking directly into the Prime Ministers eyes. "How… I ever… Whatever go tell your Republic we have a deal" The Prime Minister would say while bursting out of the room. As Obi Wan is remembering it sitting on the bed in the crew quarters, he would hear a ghostly voice saying "The prophecy is incomplete someone tampered with it. The Chosen One prophecy needs to be complete. Save The Chosen One and The Balancer." As it fades away Obi Wan would recognize it this time as it was in fact Qui Gons' voice. "Qui Gon are you there? Please explain what you mean?" Obi Wan would say looking up toward the ceiling of the ship but getting no answer. "What does he mean" Obi Wan would say to himself out loud pondering on Qui Gon's message.

Back at the Jedi Temple Master Yoda and Aayla walked down the halls until they reached the Jedi Archives. Jocasta Nu the head librarian would walk up to the two Jedi with concern as both rarely come here. "Master Yoda and Master Secura what brings you here?" Yoda almost walking past her saying "Look up something I must. Come come Master Secura hurry we must." As Yoda not would anyone to know what he was looking for but trusted Aayla for some reason. Maybe the force wanted it he thought but he only knew he could trust her with it. Jocasta Nu would just stand there confused as both jedi disappeared in the aisles in the Archives. Aayla would look over at Yoda what are we looking for You can tell me right?" while walking beside him as he looked at the shelfs as if he were looking for something. "The Chosen One Prophecy" Yoda would say with a determined voice. "The Chosen One Prophecy but why?" Aayla would say stopping in her tracks. "Incomplete it is" Yoda would say as he finally finds it. "Is that it?" Aayla would ask as she got more curious about it. "It is yes"Yoda would replywhile opening the holocron that had the prophecy's text. As he looked, he notices that in some way it was tampered with and is now incomplete. Yoda would then look at Aayla saying, "It is incomplete someone as tampered with this Holocron." As Aayla looked shocked saying "But how and by who?" Yoda then looking down scratching his chin saying "Tell no one about this. I will mediate on this matter" while turning back to walk to the mediation chamber Aayla would stop Yoda by putting her hand on his shoulder saying, "Mind if I join you?" As she was very curious about it. Yoda putting a smile on saying "Come come Aayla you're not going to let an old man beat you in in a race yeh yeh" laughing as Aayla smirked, with they both walking to the mediation chamber.
