"It is my pleasure to inform you, young Midoriya, that with a score of 62 villain points, and 60 rescue points, you have passed the UA entrance exam with a new record! Passing my score by just 2 points, welcome to your hero academia!" The usual Midoriya tears were spilled, though now they were in pride rather than Inko's frequent worry.

That happiness however, gave way to extreme anxiety as Izuku stood before the grand door to class 1-A. It was an identical feeling to that which he had felt at the entrance exam, he felt he would be feeling it a lot throughout the next three years. Without giving himself more time to spiral, Izuku pushed the door wide open, revealing someone he'd long forgotten about.

"Did your old school shove that stick-" Katsuki Bakugou went quiet as he glanced toward the open door, something between confusion and anger crossing his face: "Deku..." He rose from his seat, though before he could say more, a tired voice spoke from the teacher's podium.

"If you're here to bicker, you might as well leave now." The man had appeared at the front of the class, his presence only made clear when he spoke. "It took you all 8 seconds to quiet down, we don't have that kind of time. You have fifteen minutes to get changed, meet me on the sports field." He dumped a pile of uniforms onto his desk, before moving from the classroom, leaving the students of 1-A extremely confused.

Aizawa's gaze passed over the students before him, they weren't that special, but they would probably be a lot better than his previous year. "Midoriya, you came first in the entrance exam, how far did you score on the ball throw last year?"

"63 meters, sir."

"Good, now-" He tossed the boy a softball: "do it with your quirk." Izuku hesitated for a moment, before walking into the circle and bringing his arm back.

"The ball's-" Izuku looked down at his hand in confusion, before looking towards Aizawa's glowing eyes: "Eraserhead." He muttered, much to Aizawa's surprise, not many knew of him.

"During the exam, you nearly got yourself killed, I suggest you take more care now." He dropped his quirk, allowing the teen to return to his previous stance. The throw was normal, up until Izuku's last finger rested on the ball, then-

"The ball's gravity is reversed." Suddenly, the sphere's arc shifted, flying straight up before it wasn't even a speck in the sky.

"This is the kind of thing you'll have to compare to in the hero course-" Aizawa grinned devilishly as he revealed the score, the screen displaying a large infinity symbol. "Should you place last in these tests, you'll be judged as having no potential and will be expelled immediately. Prove to me that you have what it takes to be a hero, so go beyond: Plus Ultra."

"There's no point in me going over things individually, so here are your scores." A scoreboard appeared from the device in Aizawa's hand, revealing Izuku's name sat at the very top. Turning his attention from the top scorers, Aizawa looked toward the bottom five. Sero, Kaminari and Jiro all had reasonable potential and had put their all into the tests.

The last two however, they were different. Minoru Mineta was the most average student Aizawa had ever had, to the point where Aizawa was unsure if that was all that was going on. Toru Hagakure had a useful quirk, but wasn't on the same level physically as someone like Ashido, that would have to be worked on. Overall, it was one of the better classes. It seemed no one was going home.

"It was a logical ruse, none of you will be expelled, but that might not be the case in the future. Go get changed, you're dismissed, pick up a syllabus before you leave." The students slowly trickled away, leaving Aizawa alone, well, not quite alone. "I know you're there All Might." The man peeked his head out from around the wall. "You as well Cathleen." A rustling came from one of the nearby trees, before a loud bang sounded as the pro fell out of the branches. Shōta sighed, why did the coffee machine decide to break now?

Between now and the quirk apprehension test, Izuku had been approached by both Uraraka and Ilda, one to thank him for his take down of the zero pointer and the other to apologise for being rude. Throughout that time he had felt a pair of red eyes burn into the back of his skull, but hadn't gathered the courage to do anything about it.

Now, the class sat impatiently within their seats, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the now quite late heroics teacher. It wasn't long however, until the sound of pounding feet filled the room, and the door flung open at incredible speeds. "I am here! Coming through the door like a normal person!"

The cape of his silver age costume fluttered dramatically in the non-existent wind, his smile brightened the entire room and his use of the door was certainly not normal: "All Might!" The class shouted in unison, Izuku among the loudest.

"Today is your first lesson on foundation heroics, you can think of it as heroing 101. First however, you'll need these." The wall panels opened to reveal sets of briefcases, student IDs labelled on each. "These outfits have been built by support companies based on the specifications you provided earlier in the year. Once you're ready, meet me at Ground Beta for your first class!"

Izuku couldn't help but smile to himself as he looked down at his costume. The main jumpsuit was green, over which ran golden lines, forming the same shape as the gold on his aunt's costume. Red fingerless gloves ran to his forearms, bearing two stripes of white in their middle. His boots rose to his knees, similar in structure to the shoes of All Might's first costume, though these wear golden rather than silver. The outfit was complete by the red cape that trailed to his ankles, golden clasps clung to his shoulders to keep it in place, though they would come straight off if someone tried to use the cape against him.

He stepped out into the light of the fake city, where the majority of the class had already arrived. Uraraka waved him over to where she stood alongside Ilda, though it took Izuku a second to realise it was the boy inside the large armour.

"Good afternoon Midoriya, your costume is rather impressive, I see you took inspiration from All Might's original costume." That led to a rather one sided conversation of Izuku mumbling about the evolution of All Might, unaware of his friends' confusion.

"Uraraka! You look awesome!" Mina ran up to the three, dragging a pair of floating gloves behind her.

"Yep!" Toru spoke as she wrenched herself from her friend's grip, gesturing wildly. "Yours is awesome, I'm stuck with this DNA encoded stuff, it's super itchy. Apparently my original idea was inappropriate."

"Original idea?" Uraraka questioned.

"It was just-" She was cut off as the last student arrived, All Might beginning to speak as they did.

"They say the clothes make the pros, and you all look like professionals. I'm going to throw you into the deep end today, with combat training!"

Toru padded down the hall, moving as silently as possible. Her and Mina had been selected as the villains against Midoriya and Uraraka as the heroes. She offered to scout ahead, and so found herself following her opponents as they got closer to where Mina was setting her trap.

However, when they reached the stairs, she was unable to follow them without speeding up. That would have been fine, if it weren't for when the two came to a dead stop. Midoriya turned around, his voice breaking the silence of the fake office building.

"Izuku Midoriya can see the movement of oxygen." He must have figured out her quirk manipulated all forms of light and so found something he could use to detect her. With no other choice in the narrow hall, she rushed forward, fist headed for her classmate's face. His hand shot up, catching her's as he spoke.

"Toru Hagakure can be seen."

ANs:

Small comment on Toru's quirk, it's light manipulation, so I don't see why some fics have her visible in infrared, which should also be manipulated by her quirk.
