After enjoying a night at the pier, our heroes were now leaving, conversing with each other. "Ladies and gentlemen, after a night like tonight, there's only one thing that can cement this friendship. Frosting!" Zee said as she pointed to a dessert shop. "Sweet Justice!" The girls, minus Kamala, Gwen, Babs, Diana, rushed into the dessert shop. "This looks promising," Gwen said. "Kamalakins, do you have…" Before Gwen could ask Kamala, she instantly looked at her phone to check the time. "Don't worry Gwendy, I got time." Kamala said. "You do not wanna miss this." Kara said as she grabbed the 4 girls and they went inside. The heroes went inside Sweet Justice and saw everyone enjoying their ice cream treats.
"How did I not know about this place?" Babs said as her face was in the glass. "This is a pretty cool place. I bet it's no good back in my old town." Gwen said. "And what's that?" Jessica asked. "A place that sells the best vegan donuts. Gwen, myself, and our old team mates used to got there alot of times." Kamala explained. Then a blonde teen who also works here came in. This is Barry Allen. "Hey, guys. So, what's the haps, what's poppin', what's the latest? Can I get you something sweet? Sure hope so, 'cause that's what we have. It's sort of our specialty." Barry said in a fast way. "Hi, Barry." the four girls said in a union. "So, what'll it be? The usual? The usual? The usual? The usua- Huh?" Before Barry could finish, He then noticed Babs, Kamala, Diana, and Gwen, and became a bit confused.
Zee stepped in and ordered for the 4 other girls. "Babs will have the candy cake triple ripple tower with the rainbow sprinkles and Diana will have the death by chocolate." Diana Brought out a mace randomly. "Figure of speech, Diana." Zee said as she pushed it away. "Gwen will have the crazy radical donuts with extra sprinkles and Kamala will have the organic special donuts with extra almonds." Zee said as she finished the order. Surprisingly Barry has finished the order in at least seconds. "Here you go." Barry said as he took out the desserts, as they left with their treats, he spotted Diana. "Oh, hey, nice to meet you, Diana." he greeted. "
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I shall await your text message in three days' time." Diana said which left Barry confused. Soon they sit down at a table enjoying their treats. "MMMM!" Kamala said in excitement. "These donuts are just like the Vegan Donut store" She stated. "Yeah, they are very tasty." Gwen said as an agreement. "However, Diana has yet to try hers. "Well, what are you waiting for?" Jessica said. Diana then tried a small taste, and then, she was amazed by the flavor! She then gasped then started munching her treat down and gasped in amazement.
"Never have I tasted such wonderment." Diana said. "More. I must have more of this magical concoction. Do you intend to eat that?" She asked Karen for her treat. "Uh…" Before Karen could say something, Diana grabbed Karen's Milkshake and Chugged it down, she then started grabbing the girls desserts even Gwen and Kamala's 2 other donuts and started wolfing them down until she passed out. 'Geez!' Gwen thought. "Diana…" Karen tried to check on the unconscious Diana until… "SISTERS!" Diana shouted as she Got up and slammed her hands on the table. "This food is more delectable than ambrosia, the place is more perfect than Elysium. I declare that we must celebrate our every future victory here and thus!" Diana said in declaration. "Sweet Justice for the win!" Babs said in excitement as she pumped her hands in the air. "I do not know what that means!" Diana did the same thing then the girls started laughing.
Suddenly Gwen's Spider senses started tingling. "Uh oh!" Gwen said nervously then she turned her head to see trouble with the two dessert shop owners having a argument. "Hey, what are you doing? We turned down the offer. Get out of here, please." the owner said. "We said we wouldn't sell. Barry, go get our lawyer." the other owner said as Barry then rushed in to get the phone. "Lawyer? Why do they need a lawyer? "Maybe it is a villain attack!? Doctor Doom? Magneto? Kang the Conqueror? Kingpin" Kamala rushed with questions. "Nope!" Gwen said. "Them" She then pointed to the strange robots with green visors entering the shop. "Attention, citizens. This business or dwelling has been categorized for immediate destruction." one of the robots commanded. "No" the owner main cired as most everyone got confused on what's happening.
"By order of the city of Metropolis, you must vacate before structure removal begins. You have 30 seconds to comply." The Robot commanded again. "What should we do?" Kara asked. "What can we do? they're city robots." Zee said as she wondered. "You have 15 seconds to comply." The robot demanded. "Please, girls, let's go. Nothing we say is gonna stop 'em." The owner said as he tried to get them to leave. "But the city can't tear this place down without your permission. This doesn't make sense." Jessica wondered. But the situation is getting worse. "You have 10 seconds to comply. 10…" the robot started to count. "Is this a law we must obey? Or should we fight?" Diana asked. "I-I don't know!" Kamala nearly started to panic. "Gwen started to look around the dire problems going on and she knows what to do. "Excuse me girls, I have to use the restroom." Gwen said as she rushed to the bathroom and locked the door. 'Like you said Pete, "With great power comes great responsibility". She thought as she started changing. 'Now my responsibility is to help my friends.' she then finally put on her mask. Meanwhile outside, the girls were thinking of what to do. "We should fight to stop them from destroying this place." Kamala said in a confident look. "I second that!" Babs said.
"Girls, please. This isn't work getting hurt over." The owner man pleaded for their safety. "Let's get out of here. We're not ready for a fight." Karen said worriedly. "Oh yes we are, because this is a new story of the new team that will rise like the Avengers!" Kamala said. ": 2,1... This completes your warning. Demolition will now begin." The robot said as all of them started to destroy the shop, Many of the destructive robots suddenly crashed out of the walls! "Johnny, look out!" It turns out one of the teenage boys was in his VR not aware of his situation, Diana gasped and saw what's happening and sooner than later, Diana changed into her Wonder Woman attire, and saved the teenage boy from getting attacked.
The girls gasped as they witnessed the heroism of Wonder Woman. "It matters not if these villains are protected by man's law. Our mission is to protect the innocent. And that is what we must do. Come, sisters and brother. This is our time." as Wonder Woman was finished with her speech, another robot was after the owners, until a spider webbing rope caught the robot and was slinged around and destroyed another robot with it. Then Ghost-Spider appeared infront of the girls. "Did I miss the party?" Ghost-Spider joked then another robot was heading for the owners again, But Supergirl lifted it up. "You're right. This is our time." Super said as she threw the robot aside, Then the girls, including Kamala, transformed into their superhero forms and were ready to fight.
"Embiggin!" Ms. Marvel shouted as she stretched her legs to stomp on both of the robots. "Oh Yeah, another win for Team, Ms. Marvel" She then took a selfie of the smashed robots, but another robot was coming to Ms. Marvel but luckily Ghost-SPider saved her by doing an energy-powered kick. "Woah, Thanks!" Ms. Marvel said. "Don't thank me yet!" Ghost-Spider said as both of them went back to the fight. Zatanna then shrinks one of the robots with her magic, while Batgirl trips one over with her grappling gun. "Yeah!" Zatanna and Green Lantern said in excitement. "Huzzah! Let us earn more chocolate." Wonder Woman said as she kicked the robot. "Hee-ya!" Batgirl kicked one of the robot. While Supergirl and Ms. Marvel continued to smash more robots but Bumblebee tries to fight one, but to no avail. "Og tog mrof ecnehw uoy emac" Zatanna used her magic to blast the robots then she started to make more hands to make a small applause. "Thank you, thank you. Nobody gets past the great Zatanna!" Zatanna said. Ghost-Spider did a combo move by slamming both robots on the ground.
Suddenly, more robots with a saw were heading for two teenagers! "Great Hera! Why do they not run?" Wonder Woman wondered. "Quickly, Supergirl, you must-" But before she could finish… "I got it!" Supergirl said as she rushes to them. "No, wait!" Wonder Woman tried to stop her. "I said I got it" Supergirl said as she threw the robot, However, the robot was heading for other teens. "Oops." Supergirl said worriedly. "I got it!" Ghost-Spider then created a huge spider web to catch the robots, more and more debris was falling. "Woah!" Ghost-Spider screamed but she managed to seal the cracks with the ceiling but more debris kept falling, throught the cracks "Whoa!" Green lantern managed to catch some with a net she constructed with her ring." "Bumblebee, try short circuit them!" she told Bumblebee which she tried to prepare herself to do, however the robot was coming at her with a bunch of sharp weapons! Bumblebee got super scared and said, "t's too scary! I don't want to! I can't!" Luckily Ghost-Spider formed a fist of energy and punched the robot through the chest. Meanwhile, Batgirl was punching a robot repeatedly, but it had no effect on it.
She falls off the robot, only to see more are charging at more teens. As she's about to throw her Batarangs, a piece of rubble hits her on the head, making her throw them everywhere, losing her focus. Ms. Marvel used her giant hand to grab the robots to crush hem and threw them which kind of sends them flying to the wall. "Careful." Ghost-Spider told. "Sorry about that." Ms. Marvel apologized. Then Ghost-Spider's spider senses started tingling as she sensed a robot coming at her. Ghost-Spider then uses her web to shoot at the robot in the head then does a power pounce ax kick to destroy it. "Excellent work, Rook!" Wonder Woman compliment. "No problem!" Ghost-Spider said back. "Focus, Batg- Oh, Hades! I shall do it myself!" Wonder Woman then kicked a robot which one of the arms came off. Dianauses the saws to slice multiple robots.
Zatanna then starts taking down more of the robots. "Take this, heinous beasts!" She blasted more magic at the robots, However, her magic accidentally hit Wonder Woman. "I didn't mean you." Zatanna panicked. Then Wonder Woman slammed into Supergirl, causing more damage to the building. Suddenly, the place was starting to collapse! "Everyone out! It's coming down!" Green Lantern shouted. "Come on!" Ms. Marvel said. Then Everyone managed to get out, and nobody was hurt, but Sweet Justice was destroyed in front of our heroes. "Aw man…" Ghost-Spider said in disappointment. "Thank you for your cooperation. You will receive a bill for any damage to city property. Have a nice day. The Robots left the area leaving the 8 girls alone. Then all excepted for Ms. Marvel, Ghost-Spider, and Batgirl started arguing.
"Insubordination! Why don't you not await my orders?! You are reckless!" Wonder Woman yelled. "Well, excuse me, Princess, in case you didn't notice I was the only one in there actually fighting!" Supergirl said as she pointed to Bumblebee. "Nuh-uh, I was fighting." Bumblebee tried to ddefend her self. "You were cringing." Zatanna said you wanna yell at someone, yell at her! One flick of that ring, and she could've taken all of them out!" Supergirl said as she then pointed to Green Lantern. "Oh, like Zatanna took out you and Wonder Woman?!" Green Lantern said. "Or was her showboating a better strategy?!" she dramatically said. " At least my magic blast did more than some silly magic rope!" Zatanna said in anger. "Guys Please, lets not fight, we can put this out!" Ms. Marvel tried to stop them but…"STAY OUT OF THIS!" The 5 girls shouted at the Inhuman, making her nervous.
Meanwhile Batgirl found a disc shaped piece with the logo of Lexcorp. She then gasped then gasped loder and said. "You guys. You guys! It's okay, it's okay. We can fix this. A city would never demolish a private business! And demo-bots would never endanger the public! They were rigged! By Lex Luthor." "Lex Luthor?" Green Lantern asked. "Uh-Huh" Batgirl reapplied. "Oh, jeez. Focus, Batgirl! What could Lex Luthor possibly have against cupcakes?!" Supergirl dramatically asked. "Uh... Huh? Uh, I don't know." Batgirl said in all confusion. Ms. Marvel then stepped in and said, "You know you, You might be good at figuring stuff out, but you're not as smart as Tony…" Ghost-Spider then finally snaps. "Would you quit comparing our new friends as the avengers!" She yelled at Ms. Marvel. "All you ever did was compare the girls as the Avengers, well they are not Avengers, they're even heroes when they caused more damage to the city. So stop seeing them as the Avengers!" she said in anger. The girls were pretty shocked by what Ghost-Spider said. Then Ms. Marvel came in and said, "Well excuse me for trying! At least you were acting like Spider-Man after you got that spider bite!" "Yeah?" Ghost-Spider said. "Well since the last time I tried to be like Spider-Man, I ended up with my best friend getting Killed!" As she shouted, this left all of the girls in shock more, even Ms. Marvel. "Oh yeah…" Ms. Marvel said as she remembered what happened. "Gwen I…" before she could finish. "You know what." Ghost-Spider said. "I'm done looking out for your back Kamala. You're on your own." She then shot a spider web and started to swing away from the girls all alone.
Ms. Marvel was looking down as she saw her best friend leave. Batgirl then tried to comfort her, then all of the sudden… "Face it. We were never meant to be heroes. Especially me." It turns out Bumblebee was changing out of her outfit and putting it inside of her backpack and started to walk away. "Bumblebee, wait." Batgirl tried to stop her but… "Well, I concur with Karen.I never wanted to do this in the first place." Zee then was back to her normal attire and left. "No! You guys! Come on." Batgirl was trying her best to make everyone stay but… "I knew this stupid ring would lead to violence and destruction." she took off her ring and left. "No wait! That ring could…" but before Ms. Marvel could finish. "Like I said, trying to be a hero is for chumps." Kara was back in her normal outfit and left." After they all left, Batgirl was looking down, then suddenly fog started to form with Wonder Woman looking at it with shock. "Wonder Woman?" Batgirl asked. "What is it? Kamala asked too. "Barbara Gordon, Kamala Khan, meet... my mother." as Wonder Woman said that, Queen Hippolyta appeared from the fog.
Batgirl gasped and said "Dude, your mom looks like a final boss." "more like the female greek version of Thor." Ms. Marvel said in her own statement. "Disguising yourself as a warrior, entering the tournament of Athera and Aphrodite against the wishes of your Queen, leaving Themyscira without my permission!" Queen Hippolyta was scolding at Diana. "Wait, you snuck out? But I thought it was your destiny to save the world of Man." Batgirl asked. "This insolent child has no such destiny! She has brought shame upon her people! Come, Diana! It is time to return home-" She then grabbed Diana by the ear and started dragging her. -and accept your punishment. You are in the grounding of your immortal life, young lady." Then they all disappeared in the fog. "Diana?" Batgirl said weepingly. Then Ms. Marvel took her phone out to see its almost past her curfew. "Listen Babs, Its almost my curfew, and…and…" Ms. Marvel started to break. "I just need to go!" Ms. Marvel started to grow her legs and started running off. "Kamala Wait!" Batgirl tried to make her stay but she was already gone. Batgirl removed her cowl in sadness then dialed her phone "Dad, can you come pick me up?" Babs said.
Meanwhile, Gwen went home to see her dad to greet her home. "So, how was your trip with your new friends?" He asked. "I don't really want to talk about it right now." Gwen said in a sad look. Then the next thing later Gwen was in her Pajamas watching TV on the latest news. "Mary Jane Wattson of the Daily Bugle with huge breaking news! Recently in Metropolis square, a huge incident destroyed the Sweet justice store. Lexcorp owner Lex Lutor says that he will repair the damage once he figures out the error that is happening and…" Looking back Gwen started to feel bad about what she said. 'Oh Kamala, I'm so sorry.' She thought. Then she heard her phone ringing, she got a call from a certain hero on the phone, she then answered it on facetime.
"Hey Gwen!" Peter said. "Hey Pete." Gwen responded. "I came to call to see how are you doing at your new home, and hows the new school? Did you make any new friends?" Peter asked. "You know what, I actually did, with Kamala." Gwen responded to Peter's questions. "Really? Well thats great! Im finally glad you made some after you moved to Metropolis." Peter said in excitement. "Actually…" Gwen started to look sad. "What wrong?" Peter asked. "It didn't go out as planned." Gwen said. "What for?" he asked. "Well you see, they all have powers, and some of them wanted them to be heroes. And Kamala wanted to be like you guys, I got mad at her and…I told her I didn't need her. I felt just like a jerk!" Gwen said. "So, you were trying to be like me, after you filled in my spot after I joined the Avengers. Peter stated. "But you know what happened to Miles after I tried to be like you, and after what happened to me and Kamala, I soured our friendship, maybe im destined to be alone. Im sorry Pete." Gwen started to look down. Peter then decided to give her advice. "Gwen, I've been being a solo hero for the past 10 years, and I felt like I was most likely to be alone for my life, and I was used to it, and I was hesitant to be a part of a team before I could join the Avengers." Peter said. "Really?" Gwen was shocked. "Then what happened?" she asked. "Well after you got the bite and helped me and the Avengers take down your first villain together, I learned that having friends is the best way to control power and learn from then." Peter said, as Gwen was shocked by how Peter said that. "You know Gwen, I did say "Great Power comes Great Responsibility" But that responsibility includes great friendship, that you take care of, especially those who are close to you." He finished his advice. 'Great friendship?' Gwen thought as she remembered the great times she and Kamala did for the girls, Including giving advice, showing Diana the meaning of living in modern day life, and most importantly, how close they were. "Your right Peter, Thanks." Gwen said as she felt touched. "No Problem." Peter said, soon the alarm where Peter is started ringing. "Oh, Sorry Gwen I gotta go! Avengers business." He said as he put his mask back on. "Good Luck Gwen, you'll need it." Peter said as He then hung up the call.
'Thanks Pete!' Gwen thought, she then got up and grabbed her suit, 'I know what to do.' Meanwhile Kamala was in bed, luckily her parents didn't catch her in past curfew before she got home. However she couldn't sleep, she was underneath her blankets and looking through the pictures. 'I gotta fix this!' she thought to herself. 'But first I gotta get Babs' She then changes into her superhero outfit, and goes out her window. 'Sorry Abu, but I have to find my friends.' Kamala then checks the address from her phone for Babs and starts heading there.
Meanwhile Babs was in bed listening to some music while also being emotional. "I don't wanna go so low Baby, you and me We were the greatest team!" Babs was singing along, all emotional, Suddenly, Babs had an incoming call on her tablet. It was none other than her Gotham Best friend Harleen. "BABSY!" Harleen Shouted. "Hi, Harleen." Babs said. "So? Status update, please. How's the digs? Come back to Gotham! I miss you!" Harleen cried. "Oh, I miss you, too. Metropolis is... lonely." Babs stated. "Oh. That bad, huh?" Harleen noticed Babs' sadness. "Oh, Babbly-boo, I hate being apart. If I had to do it all over, I'da done more to keep you hea. Best friends, they're worth fighting for, ya know?" Harleen said. "Which is why I came back here." A voice said through the window. "Huh? Kamala?" Babs wondered. "Wait, Who's Kamala?" Harleen asked. "Uh…A friend i made, Listen i gotta go now" Babs tried to excuse herself to talk to someone. As police sirens were ringing in the location Harleen is. "Of course, I gotta run anyway. Gotham stuff." Harleen said. Babs chuckled and said, "Gotham stuff" Harleen then kissed her screen and shouted, "Love ya, Babsa-dabsa-doo!" "Love ya too, bestie!" Babs said as she hanged up the call, she then opened her bedroom window to find Ms. Marvel right in front of her. "Kamala? What are you doing here? I thought you had a curfew?" Babs asked. "I snuck out." Ms. Marvel answered. "But that's not important right now! I need to tell you something." she said as she got inside of her room, she then got a little startled by the surroundings.
'Wow! She must really love that Gotham nut!' Kamala thought. "What is it?" Babs asked. "I'm really sorry about how me and Gwen treated you so bad," Ms. Marvel said. "Besides Captain Marvel, I wanted to have a team like the avengers, but i almost forgot how it happened to Gwen's last best friend." she started to tear up. "Hey, it's okay Kamala," Babs said. "All I ever wanted was to be a part of a team and today I had a chance, until now." she looked down. "So what happened to Gwen's other best friend?" Babs asked the Inhuman. Ms. Marvel sighed and sat next to Babs. "Before I became an Inhuman, Gwen recently filled in for Spider-Man after he joined the Avengers," Ms. Marvel said. "And Gwen tried her best to keep up the role for him, he tried everything to be like him, but it was mostly hard to keep it a secret to her other Best friend, Miles Morales." "Who's Miles Morales?" Babs asked. "He was such a sweet kid, smart, funny, and really good with making music, they used to make music together." Ms. Marvel answered. "But there was a dark secret in him, Miles was a dangerous criminal," She continued off the story. "WHAT!" Babs was shocked by what happened. "Yeah, He was known as The Prowler, one time he was hired by crime boss tombstone to hunt down Ghost-Spider, Gwen, she was pretty shocked by how Gwen found out the truth of Miles' Identity." Ms. Marvel explained. "Then what happened?" Babs asked more. "One time, Miles had Gwen by the neck, so Gwen revealed her identity to him to convince him to stop. Miles wouldn't hurt Gwen, so he refused to finish her off, but it cost his life. He was killed by Tombstone, for refusing to finish her off." Kamala said. "Oh My!" Babs was shocked as she covered her hands.
"It broke Gwen's heart to see him die in her hands, and worst the police blamed her for the death. Gwen managed to get over trying to be like Spider-Man and clear her name for Miles's death, but what happened to him still scarred her for life." Ms. Marvel said. "And I've been her only friend since then." She finished telling her story. "But she has new friends, us!" Babs said. "Exactly, which is why I came here, most of this is my fault, I have to fix this to bring them back and become a team, not like the Avengers, but like us!" Ms. Marvel said in a confident look as she stood up from her bed. "You're right, I'm not giving up on our team!" Babs said. "So let's do it!" She got up from her bed. "Yeah!" Ms. Marvel said as they both held hands telling them they were both ready. Soon enough Babs changed to her Batgirl outfit and both her and Ms. Marvel rushed off with Batgirl's Moped to bring the girls back together, however they all were still mad at Babs and slammed doors to refuse to talk to her.
"Well this bites!" Ms. Marvel said. "Tell me about it!" Batgirl said. Then all of the sudden a certain someone came swinging by, and she landed on top of the moped. "Trying to get the team back together?" Gwen asked as a joke. "GWEN!" Batgirl and Ms. Marvel shouted in excitement then Ms. Marvel came to Ghost-spider as she jumped off the moped and they both hugged. "Gwen Im so sorry, tried to make the team like the Avengers, your right, they are not it's just…" Before Ms. Marvel could finish. "No, I'm sorry," Ghost-Spider said. "For what?" Ms. Marvel asked. "For being such a total jerk to you and our new friends, I realized that great responsibility also includes watching out for my friends, I learn that now." Gwen Explained. "Oh Gwen." Kamala said then she hugged her again. "Im sure Miles would appreciate this if he were still here." Gwen was a bit shocked about Talking about Miles next to Batgirl. "Its okay Gwen, I know what happened to Miles." Batgirl explained to her. Underneath her mask, Ghost-Spider frowned but then smiled because of the new memories she made there. "Okay now how are we going to bring the girls back together?" Ghost-Spider asked.
That's when Batgirl got an idea. "Oh, I got it." she went to her moped and started doing her work. "What's she doing?" Ms. Marvel asked. "I have no idea?" Ghost-Spider responded. It turns out she called out all for of the girls "I'm not talking to you, Babs!" the four girls shouted in annoyance. "Guys, don't hang up!" Batgirl tried to make sure everyone stayed. "Give us one reason why not!" Kara asked. "'cause I need you to fight!" The girls were about to hang up. "Plus the alarm will sound again." Batgirl told. "And both of us have something to stay." Ghost-Spider came in. "Gwen!" the four girls said as they saw Ghost-Spider. "Miss me?" Ghost-Spider asked. "I thought you left us for good?" Jessica asked. "I did, but both me, Kamala and Babs has something to say to you all.
"I'll start first." Ms. Marvel said. "Look, besides Captain Marvel, the Avengers were my idols, my heroes, the ones I looked up to ever since they were formed. I wanted to have a team like that, and then when I saw Babs trying to form a team with you guys, you were all reminded of them, Except for Babs." she pointed out to Batgirl. "Hey!" Batgirl felt offended. "But what I'm trying to say is, after seeing what you could do, you're not like the Avengers, you're your own, you have your own power that you control, and I'm really sorry for comparing you to them." Ms. Marvel said.
"I'm next," Ghost-Spider said. "A close friend said to me once, "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility," and what Kamala said about your own power, you used your own power to be heroes. And what I learned from today, that great responsibility also includes looking out for your friends, I learned that today after I blew it from you guys, I'm really sorry too." Ghost-Spider said to tell them how sorry she is.
"Look, I know not all us wanted to be heroes, but one of us did. Her." Batgirl shows the picture of them together. "We don't have to be heroes.
