Clone P.O.V

The Zetsu were killing so many shinobi, and the thought that people were dying believing they were safe with people pissed him off. Cutting off from the two clones to head toward the coast, this clone had been given more chakra for the job of ensuring he gets to Shikamaru and can be of valuable help. The same was for the Clone sent to Gaara. The night was spent with occasional interactions with the white clones. Ones he had learnt were named 'White Zetsu' he found it strange to add the colour they were all the same, was there other Zetsu's of other colours?

The sun was rising when his heart dropped when he felt Shikamaru's chakra waver along with his teammate Choji. Then it stilled, but, something was wrong with it. He was about to teleport to the blade he had marked when he ran into a small group. One had someone carrying a device of some sort on his back. Being told it put him in contact with the base he immediately demanded to speak to Shikaku.

"Shikaku!" He yelled

"I can't say I am disappointed you came. What is it?"

"I felt something happen to him. Is he okay his chakra is... its-

"Yes. Ino is currently keeping them alive. Despite the rules to stay apart for safety right now"

The clone shook his head ignoring the question

"Keeping him alive?" He grated out and the elder Nara sighed

"There was once a time Shikamaru and his team had a mission to retrieve Sasuke. The ninja they had killed, well it seems as though they are one of the many to return. And they are holding a grudge. They seem to have trapped the squads souls. If they do not return or the Chakra runs out they will die" Shikaku explained

"Then I am going to find them. Taking time out of a war for a petty thing means they're angry. I ca-"

"Your job now is to follow the malice you feel, clear the way for our people. Shikamaru knew all the risks when he took his job and had kept up as much as an advantage as he could until this point" Shikaku ordered and Naruto was tempted to teleport to the cloud just to go burst in and punch the man through a window "just keep following it and don't detour, that is your mission" he said and Naruto almost grinned when he understood. He turned on the balls of his feet and left the man who put him through to Shikaku and Inoichi. The idea that he couldn't go directly to Shikamaru had his stomach on knots in a way he has never known before. Because there was now no doubt that if the barrier containing his and the other men's souls wasn't destroyed, he would die. He had no way to track him and the idea his soul, was covered with such a hatred as he could sense getting stronger made his skin feel too tight. Made him sick and angry because they had no right. The horror and pain of the life he chose wasn't the same, he knew it likely felt heavy on their hearts, wore down their souls the way the leaf had Naruto's but he didn't think it ever tainted it, and the idea someone thought they could stick Shikamaru's in it had him seeing red. Because he deserved only the warmth of love, kindness and happiness. Something he had no doubt his family and friends gave him. Its the only thing that would have people continue the job they have. But the feeling was only getting stronger. There was a group ahead that had an imposter which he wasted no time on before running ahead.

Bursting through the trees to see the grey dome was both concerning and relieving. He lifted his shirt to remove the seal on his hip to keep Inoichi out. This wasnt a direct link and he couldn't risk him not hearing. The dome felt like a black hole of hate and rage. He had hoped Inoichi was focusing on him hoped with all he had that if he stretched out his chakra and mind he would be heard. He had heard how powerful Inoichi was and he needed that to be true. Producing a rasengan he charged at the barrier.

"Naruto?" The Yamanaka head called and Naruto almost fell in the relief.

"I found it. They're right next to me" he growled out before using two tails to push more Chakra to make a giant Rasengan. Jumping up and caving in the top he fell, his eyes zeroed in on Shikamaru who looked up at him with a knowing smirk before he and the others vanished. Naruto landed where Shikamaru just was and glared at the resurrected souls.

"Times up" he growled charging at them.

Reaching the coast was concerning. There were so many, the Clone made two others to help clear the large area, mostly so he could selfishly go to Shikamaru. Clearing the way of the ones in his area was like torture but the fact he and Choji were standing was relief enough to have him focus on the impostors. He landed next to the Nara and frowned

"Are you alright?" He asked

"Thanks to you" he smirked down at him "I knew you could do it. How're you feeling in there Kurama?" He asked

"He's okay, at least when I was made" he shrugged taking Shikamaru's hand and assessing his chakra

"I'm fine" he reassured again and held his hand tighter.

"It's all clear here, two clones are clearing the beach and up the cliffs"

Shikamaru relaxed immediately and looked to the man Naruto assumed was Choji's father and then to Darui

"All clear here to the cliffs" he called and the forces all relaxed

"Thank you" Darui said approaching

Naruto nodded and sensed his chakra was still low

"You overdid it in your fight" he warned him.

"I'll be fine, it's safe now and Choza mentioned some special food pills. I plan to take one and hope to be of use later"

"You're a clone?" Shikamaru asked to which he nodded "where is the real you?"

"Heading for the reanimated Pain with Bee" Shikamaru tensed "I'll be fine, I'm not alone and Itachi and Sasuke are heading over there too" he explained "now I have a question" he said narrowing his eyes "where is the blade I gave you?"

Shikamaru looked guilty but not regretful

"With my dad. I could summon you, I just... with being so far I knew if I was with you and something happened I could..."

"That's fair" Naruto conceded and smiled at him softly pulling out a new one, marked it and passed it to him "is there anyone else?" He asked and Shikamaru snorted putting the blade in his pack "It's all clear" he said just before the other two clones landed beside them.

"Where did you send your other clones?" A girl asked coming to stand next to Ino her hair in two buns.

"To each main squads I could feel. Kakashi, Hinata, and Gaara and this squad got clones with more chakra"

"Lee and Neji? They're in separate squads" she said and Naruto smiled at her understanding

"You're Tenten, Gai's student" she nodded "They'll be fine Gai has gone to meet up with Kakashi, I don't know about Neji but if he is with one of them I'll clear the threat" he nodded and Tenten sighed bowing

"You've done a lot for us, thank you"

He looked to her eyes wide with surprise and a little uncomfortable.

"We need to move to support Gaara, they were struggling with the resurrected Kage" Shikamaru said "I need a group to stay with Choza and the barrier ninja to ensure Dan Kato doesn't escape"

Naruto whipped his head to the purple barrier to see the grey haired man. That was the Old Lady's fiance? Naruto didn't know much but Jiraiya once mentioned how he had lost Tsunade to a ninja with the dream to be Hokage and end the wars. He had wished he could hate him but apparently he was a good man 'worthy of the princess she was'

"You're Tsuanade's fiancé?" Naruto asked and the man looked at him surprised but nodded

"And you are?"

"Jiraiya's Godson" he said "I'm sorry you have been brought back for this"

"I am only glad I didn't have to fight her" he said looking rather content in his prison.

"Right, let's move out!" Shikamaru called and people began to move. The clones moved with them "Asuma is with Kakashi's devision, do you know if he is okay?" Shikamaru asked and he frowned

"No, I'm sorry I haven't memorised his chakra" he felt bad for that but Shikamaru shook his head

"It's okay, I haven't had any bad feelings but..." he shrugged

Two hours later the Clone helping Gaara dissipated giving the clones with Shikamaru the information it had. So far it was the only original clone made to have been lost and he put his hand to his head at the stupidity of the one to accidentally hit it.

"Gaara is heading to the original, they're battle is complete and the Clone with them just disapated" he informed Shikamaru just before it seemed Shikaku was giving orders to head to the main battle with the original Naruto, Kakashi and Gai being held off by the Madara imposter who had reanimated four of the fallen jinchirichi including the old Mizukage. While it was revealed the five Kage were facing off with the reanimated Madara.

"So the masked guy was a fake?" Ino asked after Naruto explained

"Would seem so" Shikamaru frowned looking down to Naruto.

"Doesn't change anything" Naruto assured him understanding he would worry about where Kurama would now stand in this fight "he's not just fighting for himself. It's for me too"

"He said that?"

"Didn't need to" he shrugged. The actions through training, the fact he was still there were enough to know. Even now he could have left at any time.

Naruto P.O.V

Naruto and Bee made it to Nagato first, disappointed his warning of the clones hadn't helped as much as he had hoped, he was determined to stop Nagato here. He may not have had the six paths of pain but he had the rinnegan, and that gave him access to Jutsu Naruto probably couldn't even comprehend.

"Naruto? Have you done it?" Nagato asked

"No, it hasn't been all that long yet" he admitted

"I see, well, I see you've become stronger already?" He smiled softly and Naruto nodded

"I'm... learning to be better" he shrugged and frowned pulling out the peice of paper from Konan "I got this from Konan" he admitted stepping closer and Nagato's eyes widened pain taking claim on his face. Did he know?

"When?" He hissed

"Yesterday. Then it turned red, I hoped you would know what it means" he shrugged and Nagato looked wistful

"It was... a thing we did. She is saying she's gone home... come to Yahiko and I" he explained and Naruto bit his lip, that was wrong. She was dead, there's no guarantee she'd be with them.

Says the brat trying to kill himself his whole life to go to his parents Kurama scoffed. Well, he wasn't wrong Naruto admitted. Naruto put it back in hos pack for safe keeping

"Little one" a smooth calm voice spoke landing behind them causing Naruto to grin while Bee only became defensive.

"It's okay" Naruto assured him "I'm not so little anymore, ya know!" He complained to Itachi who only looked at him eyes soft before he ruffled Naruto's hair.

"Nagato" he bowed his head focusing on his old boss.

"I see you were also persuaded to his side" he smiled

"I was always on his side" he admitted smoothly which caused Nagato's face to fall in surprise "I'd known the entire time the identity of The Leaf's Jinchurichi"

Nagato smiled wide and looked surprisingly happy with that revelation

"Of course you did. Take care of him" he asked "I sense I will soon have to fight you" he frowned

"We will hold you off until a sealing team can get here" Itachi assured him "I hope you find peace after this"

Naruto didn't like the sound of that. But he knew it was facts, Nagato had to be sealed until they could release the jutsu. The idea that they may not be able to release the jutsu was something he didn't want to think about, being sealed away for eternity was a awful fate to have. Kurama agreed with that thought causing Naruto to wince

Better than being forced to kill Kurama added

The battle was hard, and Naruto honestly didn't think they'd have won had it not been for Itachi. Sasuke looked so smug, proud and Naruto was thankful they had been reunited.

"He almost had you" he snorted and Naruto shoved his shoulder

"Like you were any better! Itachi's susano saved us all. Not to mention that bird" he felt the need to be childish with him and he couldn't place why.

Sasuke folded his arms smirking at Naruto

"If you'd have stuck around you'd know we Uchiha aren't to be messed with" he nodded

Naruto didn't fully understand what had happened with the bird, or Nagato suddenly having control again.

"I will end this jutsu" Itachi announced "Sasuke, would you care to help?"

To Naruto's surprise Sasuke looked to him as if asking permission, or if he needed help?

"You think you know how to break it?" Naruto asked

Itachi nodded as his KCM died. Damn it if he didn't suddenly feel heavy! That really was some power

"I can send a clone to he-"

"No. Your battle is going to need all of your focus. We have the castor handled"

"I can help you locate him" Nagato nodded standing next to Itachi to lean on him slightly, looking a little unsteady. Itachi smoothly, without looking away from Naruto put his arm around Nagato's waist.

Naruto nodded

"Okay, I'll leave it to you guys" he grinned

"Do you still have Shisui's other eye?" Itachi asked and Naruto nodded slightly "may I have it?" He asked

"Of course, I think you should have it" Naruto rambled as he pulled it from a storage seal. Now safely in a vial. Sasuke still seemed to be waiting for Naruto to make a decision. "Well I'll leave it to you then" he nodded to the three men. Sasuke hesitated before turning to face Naruto fully

"I'll be back to help you" he looked back to Itachi who broke the smallest smile and Naruto was surprised by it "I'm your brother too, remember?"

Naruto grinned at him before he could stop himself. He blamed Shikamaru's influence, the interaction with his parents because the idea of Sasuke being his brother made him happy. And since he was so hesitant when he had said it in the Hokage's office, it was surprisingly nice. He held his fist up and Sasuke didn't hesitate to put his against the blondes

"We will see you then" he nodded

Sasuke huffed and turned to leave with his brother. Hoping they could release the people Madara had pulled from their deaths to fight his pointless war.

The rage he felt at the litteral chains on Son was surprising, they weren't like the ones he broke on Kurama all those years ago. They were imbedded into his flesh and looked painful. The idea the others were the same, well, that was enough to make this more personal for Kurama, never mind Naruto. Setting him free, setting them all free had been more satisfying than almost anything else he had done in his life. For a few minutes before they were sealed back into the statue. He hope Itachi and Sasuke were dealing with the castor of the reanimation okay. The fact he had asked for the eye he had taken from Danzo was surprising. Honestly Naruto was tired of it. And he was curious why the reanimated Jinchurichi had the rennigan. And given the fight his clone had he was more pissed off that some jackass was too much of a coward to use his own name. Other clones had dispelled and he was disheartened that the warning about the white clones was no help. But his own clones had cleared the way and reinforcements were coming. But he had hoped to free the other Bijuu before that, the fact he was pulled to their own mindscape, and were willing to give him part of their own chakra, a part of themselves was a honour he wasn't sure he was worthy of. Or Kurama's obvious pride as he sat tall behind him, chest puffed out as almost all of his siblings accepted him. Naruto didn't understand why, but he felt it was a big deal for them all, he made a note to ask Kurama when this was all over. He felt the immense boost in chakra, and the sense of hope they seemed to give off. He couldn't help but wish Shukaku was there, but he understood. Gaara was still alive, there was no previous jinchurichi for him to revive, he also wasn't entirely sure of Shukaku would be as forthcoming as the others. But now. Now Naruto was pissed and he wanted to kill the imposter, the man who Kurama was sure was the one to kill his mother. He tried to remember his new goal, but the fact that this man needed to be killed anyway was leaving him open to let his anger to leak through. It certainly didn't help to have memories of his clones invading him in the middle of a fight. Not of Madara being reanimated, not of Shikamaru almost dying! And not of Tsunade's fiance in that barrier. His warning to Tsunade didn't help a bit! Those clones killed thousands, people who thought they were safe with their allies, friends even some family. No. This was going to end now, he decided.

Fighting 'Tobi' was just annoying, you couldn't land a hit on him and Naruto was glad to have Kakashi with him, he seemed to have figured it out. His explanation was that the man had similar if not the same ability as he did with his Mangekyou. That put a bad feeling in Naruto's gut. Could that happen? Could two separate people get the exact same mangekyou? He hadn't stayed in the village to learn, he would have to ask Sasuke and Itachi. But it was odd.

Kakashi looked as if someone had drove a hand through his chest and ripped out his heart. Naruto broke the mask and revealed a man who had one Sharingan, the Kamui in fact and the Rennigan. Naruto glared, the Kamui could only mean one thing.

"Obito?" Kakashi choked out his hand clutching Gai's shoulder as if it was the only thing keeping him steady. Naruto wasn't surprised. But he was angry. He never expected someone who was close to them, who was welcomed as family! The one his mother hoped he would be like!

"You! You started this?" Naruto asked in disgust

He acted as if he was nobody. Said it was just a name and it meant nothing. The man was delusional. Spewing about a perfect world with no pain, or unhappiness. Bullshit!

Naruto wondered where the Rennigan was from. He knew Konan was dead but no way would Obito have been able to get the eyes. And Madara wasn't even reanimated before today, he took the reanimation into account so he still couldn't. It concerned him that his seal could have failed but he knew it didn't, unless Konan didn't put them on, but he didn't see that being the case. He wanted to ask, but he didn't think he could talk to the man without losing it.

"You have the rennigan?" Kakashi asked

"A gift from Nagato" he shrugged and looked directly at Naruto

"No way" Naruto growled

"It wasn't easy, I admit. But I figured it out" he shrugged

Madara had joined the fight, the Ten Tails was revived with the little chakra they had of Kurama and Gyuki. The others made it a while ago, though if Naruto was honest most of the shinobi weren't really doing anything for the most part. And he couldn't blame them really, there wasn't much they could do. Naruto was exhausted and Kurama needed a minute. Tentails beastbombs were being thrown and he wasn't sure he could stop it right now. But when it fired passed them... his heart dropped because that was toward the cloud, HQ! He snapped his head to Shikamaru who looked horrified but he wasn't looking at him, were they communicating? The memory from his clone flashed and before he could even consider his chakra he was in front of Shikaku, Inoichi behind him

"Naruto?" Shikaku asked confused. There were others and he wasn't sure he could make it, but the other man he would try. Making a clone with the help of Kurama he reached for the two clan heads and landed in front of Shikamaru falling to his knees. Shit. Shit that was a bad move. The two men groaned Shikaku rocking on his feet while Inoichi leant forward onto his hands, still sat, as the explosion hit. An intense wave of dizziness hit Naruto. His clone dissipated and the memory of them landing at the town of the border came to him. He saved the other guy. He laughed dryly at the luck of Shikamaru giving the blade to his dad. And them being so close together. Ino cried out falling to her knees to wrap her arms around her Dad. Shikamaru and Shikaku both nodded and came to put their hands on Naruto's shoulders

"Are you okay?" Shikamaru asked while Naruto took in deep breaths.

"I need... a minute" he admitted and before he could comprehend it he was being lifted up as a tailed hand crashed across where he just was, he felt like he was going to throw up. He couldn't afford this! And he couldn't remember ever feeling this drained.

Kurama?

That was a big distance. I need a few minutes. He said and Naruto cursed. Hyuga were deflecting the Tails, Gyuki taking the bulk of the attacks. Shikamaru put Naruto on the floor as Sakura landed behind him

"Time for you to recover!" She said and he almost groaned from the relief as her healing chakra reached in. He'd never had it done before and it almost made him cry. It was warm, and gentle as if it only ever wanted to make you feel good. But it was healing chakra he supposed that made sense.

The next one was coming, and they somehow knew it was for Naruto. Thinking fast Shikamaru had everyone make earth walls to slow it down. Naruto felt his heart drops and his throat closed up. How? Only two of the chakra's were unfamiliar, two were impossible and the last two were a relief. He couldn't focus as the heat from the blast got more intense. Gyuki dove ahead holding it in place but he was struggling

Gyuki!! Naruto called and then he relaxed against Sakura's hand the bomb vanished while a odd looking kunai landed in front of Naruto before the flash of white and blonde landed in front of him.

"I hope I'm not too late" he said smoothly standing up and Naruto gave a shit eating grin

"No way Dad! You're right on time"

"Prepare for the blast" he warned pointing to the coast and then a wave of power hit the forces.

"Dad?" Sakura asked her voice higher than usual

"Lord Fourth" Hinata bowed

Then landed the Old Man, two other guys

The First and Second Hokage's Kurama growled.

Then to his relief Sasuke and Itachi until he looked at him. His left eye!

"Itachi!"

"It's alright. Just an eye" he said smoothly But Naruto frowned if they're here they broke the jutsu, so how was Madara?

"Is someone going to explain what is going on!?" Sakura demanded "you called him Dad?"

"Yeah" Naruto nodded standing up "the fourth Hokage is my Dad" he shrugged and didn't miss the number of leaf shinobi who had paled. He almost burst out laughing because he supposed he couldn't blame them he knew some had figured out he was the demon kid after the pain attack, if not then at least now with the obvious fight with the said demon they were afraid of. Apparently he was like a Prince of the village. Not that he believed that. His Dad looked to Shikamaru standing beside him.

"It's nice to see you in person, Shikamaru" he smiled

"You know my name?" He asked his voice shaking than normal

"I'll explain later" Naruto chuckled

Sasuke came over

"We bumped into Orichimaru. Seems this is not something he is interested in so he had reanimated the Four Hokage's. I'm sorry, I didn't know, Tsunade and Kakashi didnt tell up that"

Naruto nodded. He planned to question the whole Sasuke retrieval and his relationship to the snake Sanin when this was over.

"It's okay. We need the help" he admitted he wished he had a update on Gaara. His clone was gone and the five Kage's hadn't made it to the battlefront yet. The fact Madara was here and they weren't was a concern. "So where is this Orochimaru?" Naruto asked because he wanted to punch him! That asshole broke his friends hearts for power and now Jiyraiya was dead. He needed to give this snake a good pounding.

"He went to help Tsunade. They should be here soon"

"Naruto?" Old Man asked surprised and he turned to look at him "is that really you?"

"Yeah" he said now wasn't the time to deal with his grudge against the stupid old man. There was a crash from above and everyone looked to see Madara

"It's about damn time! I've been waiting Hashirama!" He helled with a gleeful sort of manic grin on his face. Hashirama only glared and pointed at the Ghost

"I'll deal with you later!" Hashirama disregared him and turned to focus on the tentails as if Madara was nothing more than a minor inconvenience. The look of disappointment on the man's face had Naruto scoffing. The Kage moved and stood in a line ahead and Naruto almost cheered on the spot when his Dad lit up in KCM. Even Kurama was impressed.

This took forever and I'm not going to lie I just dreaded the war! I feel like there isn't much to add, but I hope it is okay and still enjoyable
