A/N: This story takes place after season three of 'Lucifer' and season two of 'The vampire Diaries. In this story, Isobel had Elena in college instead of high school.

Elena looked on in horror as Klaus prepared to murder her aunt. His witch had just extinguished the flames around Jenna, and Elena knew he was about to kill her. All Elena knew was fear and rage. She had so much rage. The only parent she had left was about to be murdered because of her, and because Klaus wanted to break some curse. She was filled with hate for him and a desire to stop him, to kill him.

Before Elena knew what was happening, the flames around her had extinguished, and two large wings erupted from behind her attacked Klaus. They slashed his shoulder and sent him flying several feet backwards.

Klaus growled in pain and grabbed his arm, which was bleeding profusely. He then looked over at his doppelganger and gasped. She had two large wings coming from her back and her eyes were bright red from her rage. He'd only seen those eyes on one other person before, so he had no doubt the doppelganger got her knew accessories from him.

"Elena?" Jenna asked in disbelief as she stared at her niece. She supposed at this point that nothing should surprise her, but her niece growing wings on her back definitely did.

Stefan got up at that point as well and also stared at his girlfriend in shock,

Elena, meanwhile, stared at herself in shock. What the hell had just happened? There were two white wings coming out of her, and she had no idea how. Had the beginning of the ritual done this? Was it a doppelganger thing? "Oh my God."

Just then, Damon appeared and took the scene in. He looked around in confusion before he zeroed in on Elena. "What the hell?"

"We need to get out of here," Stefan said. Klaus was still stunned and injured on the ground. They needed to leave now before he came out of it. They could figure everything else out later.

Damon nodded before rushing to Elena, while Stefan did the same with Jenna. They all ran away in a blur.

Damon opened the front door of the boarding house and stepped aside to leg Elana through, which wasn't going to be easy, given that her large wings were still present. "Careful."

Elena turned to the side and carefully maneuvered herself inside. Stefan and Jenna stepped inside right after her.

Hearing them come in, John, Jeremy, and Alaric rushed into the room moments later. "Hey, are you all…?" Alaric started, but trailed off when he got a look at Elena.

"What the hell?" John asked.

"My words exactly," Damon said.

"Can anyone with more knowledge of the supernatural please tell what has happened to my niece?" Jenna asked.

"Yeah, we've never seen anything like this before," Damon said.

"Great. I'm a freak even to the supernatural then. John, you know a lot about the supernatural. Do you know what's happening to me?" Elena asked her biological father.

John shook his head. "I know about vampires and witches. I have never heard of any supernatural being that can produce wings, at least not outside of fairy tales. What exactly happened to make them appear?"

"I don't know. Klaus was about to sacrifice Jenna, and all I could feel was anger and fear. I wanted to stop him. Then I did. These came out of nowhere and threw him away from her," Elena explained.

"They must have done more than that. He was bleeding. These things can hurt him. We might be able to take him down," Damon said with a smirk.

Elena glared at him, and her eyes flashed red again. "I'm finding it hard to care about that right now!"

"Whoa," Jeremy said.

"What?" Elena asked.

"Your eyes just turned red," Alaric said.

"They did that earlier too, right after the wings appeared," Jenna said.

"Th…they did?" Elena asked.

"Yeah, for a few seconds. Then they turned back to their normal color.

"Oh, God. What is happening to me?" Elena asked as she began to panic. He

Her wings then began to flap uncontrollably, destroying everything in their vicinity.

"Whoa!" Damon said before they all took several steps back.

"Elena, they are obviously triggered by your emotions. You have to calm down," Jenna said.

"I don't know how!" Elena exclaimed.

"Take some deep breaths. It's going to be okay," Stefan promised.

Elena did as he suggested and started to relax a little after a few minutes. She was still anxious though. She just wanted these things to disappear. How was she supposed to go around with two giant wings attached to her back.

Soon enough, Elena seemed to get her wish. The wings retreated into her back and disappeared, causing Elena to sigh in relief.

Stefan immediately ran to her side. "It's going to be okay. They're gone."

"For now, but they'll come back at some point," Elena cried into his arms.

"I'll call Bonnie and have her get her ass back here, so she can help us figure out what the hell is happening," Damon said before leaving the room.

As soon as Klaus got back to his place, he ripped off his shirt and placed it on his arm to try to stop the bleeding. He yelled out as soon as it made contact with the wound. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He'd finally found a human doppelganger only to learn she wasn't really human. There was no way Elena Gilbert was human, not with those wings and those eyes. Obviously, Isobel had been less than honest about who had fathered her child.

Just then, Klaus heard his door open and close. He turned and sighed when he saw his brother. "I should've known you were there watching. I suppose you followed me back there."

"Hmm. I was there to kill you. Unfortunately, you ruined the plan," Elijah said.

"Actually, the doppelganger ruined the plan. Or I suppose I should say her mother did. And I suppose you aimed to kill me over our siblings. Just for the record, I lied. I didn't drown our siblings. I said that to get you to abandon me," Klaus told him.

"Where are they?" Elijah demanded to know in a dangerous tone.

"Later. We have other concerns. Did you see her? Elena Gilbert?" Klaus asked.

"I did," Elijah said. He had been shocked when he saw Elena transform. She seemed human to him. He never imagined she was what she was. He didn't think she knew either. She gave no indication that she was anything other than human.

"She's his," Klaus said with certainty in his voice.

"You don't know that. There are many like him, even if we've never seen them, we know they exist," Elijah said.

"Her eyes turned red. He's the only one with that trait," Klaus said before taking his shirt away from his arm. The bleeding had stopped and the wound began to close. "It's healing, just very slowly."

"Well, you can't say you didn't deserve it. Have you called him?" Elijah asked.

"I just got back here with a bloody gap in my arm! I haven't had time to do anything," Klaus said.

"You need to call. You owe him. We all do," Elijah said.

"I'm aware. First things first. I need to get the girl away from her little group of worshippers. Who knows what they'll do to her if they find out what she is," Klaus said.

Elijah nodded. He agreed with his brother. The Salvatore brothers and the Bennett witch might protect Elena now, but there was no telling how they would react once they found out that she was most likely the Devil's daughter.
