(A/N: Today marks 6 years since the Ninjago movie was released. That was actually what got me interested in the show and to write fanfics about it. I thought of doing one about the movie myself, but changed my mind and concentrate on the series and my own originals. Anyway, hopefully this is the last little fanfic of the year, also revealing a secret relationship between a Ninja and a cop)

It had been a day since the Ninja had returned from the Never-Realm after successfully finding Zane and Cirrus wishing to be trained as a samurai to help out the Ninja, who must also help take care of Caelus. When they came into the city, they were shocked to see that Ninjago City was damaged from some sort of battle, which turned out to be the Preeminent's doing when Dragon accidentally released it from the Departed Realm while trying to reach the Never-Realm, and decided to help repair the city.

Cole and Hayden were slowly lifting the Laughy's sign up as Blake was helping by lifting it to keep the weight off of them and Kai was waiting to weld it with his recovered Elemental Power. "So, the creature that attacked the city was called the Preeminent?" Hayden asked as they soon put the sign in position and Kai started to weld it.

"Yes." Cole replied. "The Preeminent is the Cursed Realm, and the Cursed Realm is the Preeminent. People with obsessive desire who die were sent to the Cursed Realm. Lord Garmadon was once sent there himself, to bring out some Anacondrai he banished there after the First Serpentine War."

"So, how did he even go to the Departed Realm, if he was in the Cursed Realm?"

"When Oni was sent to the Cursed Realm, a ghost named Morro escaped and took possession of Lloyd, in order to find the Realm Crystal and use it to bring her here." Kai said as he was halfway through welding the sign. "During our quest to stop him, we learnt the ancient Art of Airjitzu from a ghost, who turned Cole into one himself. We also went to the Cloud Kingdom where we met Cirrus while trying to stop Morro from getting the Sword of Sanctuary."

"And he also got away with it." Blake said. "But I got it back."

"But then, Ronin stole it because he had a debt to pay." Cole said as Kai had soon finished and dropped down to them.

"I was able to stowaway and was able to stop Morro from possessing Lloyd by making him take my body instead. It's how I got my Elemental Power."

"So, Morro was the Master of Wind before you?" Hayden asked.

"Of course."

"Anyway, back to the point." Kai said. "After we rescued Lloyd and Blake, we tried to get the Realm Crystal back, but Lloyd hesitated because Morro told him that he might not see his father again."

"But in the end, Nya and I were able to use our powers to drown it, killing her, Morro, the ghosts inside it... and Garmadon."

"Wow." Hayden said, putting his arms around Kai and Blake's shoulders. "Need to hear more. Also, where you guys have been these past few days."

Later that night, Ninjago City hosted a party to congratulate P.I.X.A.L. for defeating the Preeminent at Laughy's, where Hayden got to hear about the Ninja's quest in the Never-Realm by some of the Ninja. "And that's how Blake was able to find us a way home." Geoff said, explaining to Hayden about how they got back from the Never-Realm.

"Cool. Almost wish I went to the Never-Realm."

"You could've came along with us." Zane said.

"Not with that situation you were in. Hate to say this, but I hate getting dragged into your messes."

"Why didn't you say so from the start?"

"I grew up in the First Realm. I wanted a bit of peace and quiet from being involved with you guys at all."

"As some say, your loss."

"Hey, are you guys making fun of Mantis?" Gewuji sarcastically asked as she came up to them.

"I didn't think we were." Zane doesn't understand what she meant.

"All those decades in the Never-Realm haven't taught you the difference between sarcasm and the truth." Blake said as he got up and came over to him. "Let me check on you, over there."

"Uh, there's nothing wrong with me."

Cole gets up to help drag Zane away as Gewuji sat down in Zane's former chair. "Sounded like a nice adventure." Hayden said, referring to their previous topic.

"It was." Gewuji replied before lowering her head.

"What is it?"

"It was on that same adventure to stop Morro, I started to have feelings for Lloyd." They both look at Lloyd, who was getting hounded by girls who want him to pick which one to dance with. "To be frank, it was all just for show. To see what it felt like to be truly loved. But, deep down, I really loved Lloyd."

"You still do?"

"I suppose so." She looks at her watch. "Oh, man. I gotta get back to put Caelus to sleep."

"Need a ride?"

"Thanks." She gets up as Hayden did the same and they leave the bar.
