"Oh, I cannot stop scratching!" Marinette said in frustration as she dropped her fork to itch. "Girl, you were itching in art today, too. At first, I thought you were just anxious to see Adrien, but now I'm not so sure!" "Here, love, let me take a look," Adrien said, gently, looking at Marinette's neck.

Adrien frowned. Marinette's neck was covered in red blotches. "Looks like you have chicken pox!" Marinette gasped, staring at him. "But I feel fine!" "Come on, let's take you the nurse, and I'll take you home."

"Guess I'll see you guys later," Marinette said, as she got up with Adrien. Now that they were discussing it, she did feel a little warm. "Now, don't you worry, love. I'll take care of you." Marinette smiled, and slipped her hand into his. Not only was Adrien Agreste her boyfriend, he was her partner, Cat Noir.

Sure enough, Adrien's diagnosis was correct, and Marinette was sent home. "How about you get in your jammies and I'll make us some hot drinks?" Marinette nodded, slowly trudging upstairs.

Climbing into her soft warm bed felt nice, and even though Adrien was right downstairs, she missed him. A coughing attack suddenly seized her just as Adrien came in, and hearing her distress transformed.

Rubbing and patting her back, her coughing slowly eased, but Marinette clung to Cat as she struggled to get her breath back. "Here, water helps."

The water was cold and good, followed by delicious warm chocolate, a drink of Marinette's creation. Cat read stories to her as she rested, followed by cuddles in the late afternoon. Cat only left to have supper downstairs with her family, as Marinette slowly ate her chicken soup.

I should make Cat some kind of a thank-you, she thought to herself and she eyed her sketchpad, and an idea leaped to her mind.

She still working on it when Cat came back in. "What's this?" He asked, when she handed it to him. It was a picture of Cat taking care of her along with a small poem.

"I may be a bug with spots,

for I am a Ladybug with a mask.

So, when I get chicken pox's I ask myself, am I a bug or a chicken?

Either way, your tender care makes me feel better, for love is the best medicine you could give.

This is one of the ways you show your love, and when you are sick, I'll do the same thing for you.

Love you forever and always,

Your Princess and Forever, Bugaboo

Cat looked at Marinette who had fallen asleep while he read it. Eyes shining, he leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"Sleep tight, my love. Feel better soon and don't let the bedbugs bite."
