Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters
Chapter 1 (Adrian) The Uprising
"So… You thought you could go send an Iris message for help from your buddies hm?"
"Kill me already, you scumbag." I spat at Luke.
He laughed. "Not now. Though I have to admit, you've made great friends. Your buddy buds won't come for you." He laughed sycophantically. "My Lord Kronos needs you. He'll need someone to possess before he can regain a full body. I've already volunteered to be his form before he becomes his true form." He puffed out his chest.
I snarled at him and was about to lunge at him before I remembered the blade pointing at my back.
"Careful or I'll skewer you from behind." Chris warned. I turned to look at him.
"You idiot. You picked the wrong side. You were just jealous of the gods and other people. Leave if you know what's good for you."
Chris Rodriguez was a demigod from the Hermes cabin. He and a few others including a few that left to join the Titan Lords army. He shook his head at me. "I'm not making a mistake. No one at camp cared for me. Kronos promised all of us power."
"Careful there demigod. Don't spill our secrets." It was Krios, the Titan of the South. Lord of Constellations.
I glared at him. "What are you doing here? I thought you were hiding in a cave with your sorry excuse of a Titan nephew."
His eyes glowed. "My treacherous nephew in the tuxedo has joined our cause. Our brother Oceanus, the Lord of the Ocean has risen from the depths. He is slowly gathering sea warriors to fight for him."
He must have read my mind because he laughed at my expression. "Yes Oceanus, the Titan of the sea. He was neutral in the first war but this time, Kronos has managed to convince him to fight."
"So, Kronos persuaded all of you huh?" I taunted. "Useless excuse for a human."
Luke's contorted. "I wouldn't be so proud if I were you."
"Why's that?" I spat at him again.
"Kronos will take your body before taking Luke's. He must have a body to host before regaining his true form." Hyperion had arrived. Great. Two Titans, one of which, after Kronos and Atlas, is the greatest Titan of all time. "You will host Kronos's body before Kronos transfers to Luke's." He pointed at Luke.
"What do you mean take over?" I was starting to panic a bit. Even children of Athena can panic. "You don't mean possess right?"
Hyperion smiled wickedly. "That's exactly what I mean, demigod." He turned to Luke and Chris. "Get the sarcophagus. Kronos has waited long enough."
The two demigods bowed and backed off. I saw Luke yelling orders at the other demigods that Kronos had been brainwashed and forced into his army. I glared at the two Titans. "You'll never win."
Krios remained silent. However, Hyperion laughed loudly. "Not this time, demigod. Our brother has waited for many years, whispering in the dreams of demigods and gods alike. We will prevail. We will have different plans this time. Last time, Prometheus and Oceanus had not joined in the fighting. Oceanus will keep Poseidon busy while we take on the Olympians. Typhon will join our cause and we will dominate and rule the world!" He spread his arms to show that he meant the world. The world must be very tiny.
"Lord Hyperion, the sarcophagus." Chris and Luke were back. They placed the golden box on the ground next to me. Hyperion grinned. He faced the box. "Brother Kronos. I offer you this demigod for you to host a temporary body. A son of Athena and according to the demigod Luke, he is extremely talented and powerful."
He stepped back. A golden light filled the air and the last things I remembered was the terrifying face of the Lord of Time.
