They had won the war, and it was time to make her wish on the Grail. Closing her eyes in relief, she makes her wish to return to her previous life to build her new kingdom and get revenge against the ones who scorned her.
As she made her wish, she decided that she'd need allies she could trust to aid her and expressed her desire to also be able to summon Servants, although she doubted that part of her wish would be granted she couldn't help but wish for it.
After her wish was made a silver light engulfed her form, and she vanished from that life and was sent to her previous one. Once the light cleared, she looked around, noticing that she was standing on a beach overlooking an ocean. Taking a closer look she noticed multiple large Whirlpools surrounding the shore in the distance, going through her memories she recalled this place being Uzushiogakure.
She smiled, 'A perfect place to build my kingdom, it provides an excellent military advantage, as well as an opportunity to act in the shadows until I am ready to come into the light, since no one would expect a kingdom to rise in the ruined Uzu.' She thought.
She went to turn around but was halted when a small book fell onto her head with a thump. Growling in annoyance, she looked down and picked up the book, reading the title her eyes widened, "How to Summon Servants for Dummies?" She read the book's title out loud.
Snorting in indignation at the book's title, she sat down and opened it to read. What she found slightly confused her, it was a list of Servants with their pictures, abilities, and descriptions, along with pictures of summoning symbols, pondering on what to do next she decided she needed a spy so she could find out what was happening in the world.
Glancing through the names her eyes landed on one name that brought a conflict to her mind, this assassin would no doubt be completely loyal to her, but she wasn't sure if she could deal with the cost of keeping them in line.
Looking through the list again she sighs in defeat as there are only a few names, a Rider, an Archer, a Saber, an Assassin, and a Caster. Looking at the names of each of them, she read them out loud. "Astolfo, Atalanta, Mordred…" she groaned, not ready to meet her unruly daughter, "Jack The Ripper, and finally Medea."
Sighing in defeat, she drew the symbol on the ground and started the chant to summon the servant. After a moment of blinding light, it cleared to reveal a short girl with short white hair, green-yellow eyes, with stitched-up scars on her face. Her upper body is that of an adolescent, while her lower body is more mature like that of an adult, creating an odd juxtaposition to her appearance. She wore a black vest, black panties, and black thigh-high stockings with pink shoes. Both her arms are bandaged with a glove on her left hand. She has a purple oval-shaped 'O' on each of her shoulders. A number of sheathes adorn the small of her back containing her knives.
"Are you our mommy?" The girl asked.
Artoria, knowing the quirks of the servant in front of her, only nodded in defeat, "I'll be your mother." She said, but it was a little forced.
"Yay!" The girl cheered, before barreling into the armored blonde nearly knocking her onto her back. Luckily she caught herself, only falling into a sitting position with the young girl in her lap, clinging to her as if her life depended on it.
Artoria couldn't help but rub the girl's back, she knew who this was. The infamous Jack The Ripper, an Assassin who kills their targets with ruthless efficiency. However, she was a mother, and her maternal instinct was telling her to ignore that fact and treat the young killer as if she truly were her daughter, after all, this wasn't the holy grail war. They were in no haste to defeat their enemies, meaning they could afford to do things like this.
After a moment, the young girl pulled back and gazed into her new mother's green eyes and tilted her head to the side, giving her the appearance of a confused puppy. "What can we do to help you?"
Artoria returned her gaze for a moment, before finally speaking. "I need you to spy on the other nations for a while so we can learn about what's going on currently. We'll start with Konoha, in Fire Country, if you see a man named Danzo Shimura…" she paused as her eyes filled with hatred, "Kill him in the most gruesome method you know, but don't let anyone see you do it."
Jack nodded and then looked around at the beach they were on, "Where are we, mommy?" They asked.
"We're on an island called Uzushio, it's my family's original home in my past life, or is it my current life?" She pondered before continuing to explain all she knew about her first life's clan and family, along with explaining their destruction.
Jack hummed excitedly, "Your clan was super good at killing, right?" They asked.
Artoria chuckled, "They were, when the combined forces of Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri attacked the village they only had a quarter of the invading force but they nearly wiped them out before they were destroyed."
"Really?" Jack excitedly asked, "Do you know who your mommy was?"
A sad look entered Artoria's eyes and she answered, "I do, but I never got to meet her. She died the day I was born, but her name was Kushina Uzumaki. She was the daughter of the current Uzukage, but she was sent to Konoha to become the Jinchuriki of the 9-tails. She lived there until she died after giving birth to me."
"So your mommy was a princess?" Jack asked with a tilt of the head.
Artoria nodded, "Yes, I was royalty in two ways in my past life, I was the last of the Uzumaki royal line as well as the daughter of the 4th Hokage of Konoha."
"Then you were a king in your next life?" Jack asked.
"Yes, but that's enough reminiscing We have things to do." She said, getting to her feet and ruffling Jack's hair.
"Kay!" Jack cheered before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
Once Jack was gone, Artoria turned to head inland in search of the ruins of the village, "I should summon Medea to have her repair the village with her magic." She mused aloud.
Arriving at the ruins, she looked at the destroyed buildings and the personal belongings strewn about the road. As she moved further she noticed that the road was caked in blood and bodies, looking at the headbands she saw the symbols for Uzu, Kumo, Kiri, Iwa, and… Konoha. The sight of headbands from Konoha infuriated her to no end, as Konoha claimed that they didn't send support, which meant they had betrayed Uzu and aided in their destruction.
Growling, her hatred towards Konoha grew further. It took a lot to anger the normally composed king of Camelot, however, it was blasphemy in her eyes. One shouldn't betray their allies unless it was the only option left, and even then it was still frowned on in her eyes.
She continued to the Kage Tower, where she'd look around for whatever was left behind and then summon Medea. Reaching and entering the building she ascended the stairs to the top floor, which contains the Kage's office.
The office wasn't large by any means, it was clearly built for efficiency. To the left of the door when you enter sits a row of bookcases, on the right is a loveseat and a chair in an L shape, straight across from the door was the desk itself, its comfy desk chair turned over as if someone was in a hurry. Papers and scrolls littered the office, along with copious amounts of blood. She walked around the desk and found that all the drawers were pulled out, their contents on the floor. Looking at the wall above the loveseat, she saw 3 pictures, each containing the visage of the previous Uzukage.
The first was a woman with striking red hair, done in a low ponytail that draped over her right shoulder. She wore a light blue kimono with a dark red sash around her waist, the photo cut off her lower body making it impossible to see what else she was wearing, her jade green eyes held complete confidence, her name was Amaya Uzumaki.
The second was a man, his blood-red hair tied in a bun, he wore black samurai armor, the emblem of the Uzumaki clan engraved on its left breast, a black headband adorned his head, and his crimson eyes glared with an intenseness she'd seen in a few of her soldiers when she ruled Camelot, his name was Ranya Uzumaki.
The third was another man, his hair was hidden by a dark red samurai helmet with 2 black 15-point antlers, his crimson beard flowed down his dark red samurai armor, the emblem of the Uzumaki clan covered the center of his chest, his ice blue eyes held what seemed to be mirth, his name was Sosuke Uzumaki.
Removing her eyes from the portraits, she glanced out the sole window of the room, positioned to the left of the desk when facing it. The view would've been beautiful if the village hadn't been destroyed, this thought brought her back to the fact that she needed to summon Medea, drawing the symbol from the book she once again said the chant to summon.
Once again blinding light filled the room, after it died down a woman stood in front of her, her appearance was much like a witch that would be seen in a fairy tale. She wore a hooded bluish-purple robe that hid her entire body, along with the top half of her face, you could occasionally glimpse her knife-shaped ears and her violet hair.
"Who has summoned me?" The woman asked in a melodic tone.
Artoria, knowing the woman's quirks, made a slight respectful bow. "Lady Medea, I have summoned you after winning the Grail war and having my wish to return to my previous life granted."
"Previous life? That's curious, but how does that involve me?" She asked.
Artoria gestured out the window, "I seek your aid in rebuilding this village, you have the magic to do so if I recall correctly."
"I do, but why should I help you?" Medea asked.
"Can I ask you a personal question before I answer that?" Artoria stated.
Medea raised a delicate eyebrow, though it couldn't be seen. "I don't see the point, but go ahead."
Artoria nodded in thanks, "What was your wish?" It was a simple question, but it held immense meaning.
Silence permeated the room for a while before Medea finally spoke, "I wanted to find my home." She said with a small hint of sadness in her tone.
Artoria hummed, "A great wish, and one that I may be able to help with."
"What do you mean by that?" Medea asked, intrigued.
"It's quite simple, help me build our home." Artoria said with a small smile.
"Our home?" Medea questioned, shocked.
"Yes, ours, as far as I can tell when I summon you or any other servant you feed off the mana in the air and can live indefinitely, of course, this also applies to me seeing as I'm still technically a servant…" She walked closer to the window, Medea close on her heels until the two women stood side-by-side, "I wish to build a kingdom here and rule it for a while until I find someone worthy to take my place. Although, this doesn't mean I'll be hesitant to retake it if it falls into the wrong hands."
Medea nodded, though Artoria didn't see it. "Wise, one must not be a king forever, they must pass it on to the younger generation." She crossed her arms under her chest, even though they were hidden one could make out the action, "I'll help you for now, I am unsure if this will become my home, but I am willing to give it a try."
A grin stretched across Artoria's face, she turned to face the woman next to her, "Thank you, Medea… now, will you please begin rebuilding the village, don't feel like you have to rush, take your time and have fun with it, but please keep it to the style it was previously in as a modern village during Shinobi times wouldn't be prudent."
Medea nodded, "Sounds wise, I'll keep that in mind."
"Remember to take breaks…" Artoria began walking away, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I've put off meeting my daughter for long enough."
A/N Okay, this is a story idea that I had the other day. I decided to write a chapter and post it to see if you guys are interested in it, as well as to inform me of any inconsistencies in the characters.
I tried to keep them as close to Canon as possible based on my memories from 2 or 3 years ago, so I may have fucked them up in some ways. Although I did use the Wiki along with Google for some things.
